Glaciem

In an Alternate Universe,

Glaciem, Prince of Equestria and Formerly the Crystal Empire, was born to the first Crystal Imperial rulers King Adhar and Queen Gaia. He Grew up during a time when ponies were anything but unified. Three well known tribes led by three well known leaders: Chancellor Puddinghead, Commander Hurricane, and Princess Platinum. The three tribes had been locked in a war of dominance with each other for generations.

 Glaciem Idolized the famous knights and Honorable Rulers of their days and dreamed of being a beloved hero to all. He therefore dedicated his life to his knight's training; at being the best warrior prince he could be; Chivalrous, Kind Hearted, and compassionate. On days where he was not training to hone his abilities or practice summoning winter, he focused on his friendships with two mares: Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

However the war was beginning to heat up and his older brother, Prince Luminous, had lost hope in a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Luminous began to believe ponies were naturally violent creatures. Somehow his older brother mastered dark, hatred based magic and used it to devastating effectiveness all over the world. Glaciem tried to reason with him but nearly lost his soul to his now fully dark brother.

Glaciem along with Celestia and Luna used the elements of harmony and defeated his brother. However shortly after this victory, Sombra attacked the crystal empire and cursed it to disappear when he was defeated. Glaciem, who was returning from a peace keeping mission fought Sombra to a standstill before the Princesses could banish him to the shadows.

All Glaciem could do was watch his home city vanish before his eyes, causing him to believe he was the sole survivor of the entire Crystal Empire. However he was offered a place to live in Canterlot Castle and even offered a throne as Celestia and Luna and his parents were close friends and allies. Glaciem and Celestia continued to grow closer until eventually becoming special someponies.

Sadly it was not to last as the Legacy of his brother followed him, when a fanatical follower of his brother abducted him and used dark magic to possess Glaciem with the spirit of his older brother. For Nearly one thousand years he haunted the Everfree Forest, feasting on the dark energies of whoever entered the forest. However thanks to the efforts of Celestia, Twilight and her friends Glaciem is now free of the oppressive spirit that dwelled within him.

Now Glaciem wanders the country, trying to repair his good name by helping and guiding...living up to his self made goals of Protecting and Serving.

Quiet and Reserved, however he is a loyal friend when befriended. Has a habit of being a bit of having a lone wolf attitude, as seen with his travelling Equestria. However like all alicorns tend to, Glaciem tends to have a compassionate heart for all ponies and a warrior's spirit. He cares deeply for his friends and family. He prefers to lead by example and lead soldiers from the front lines. He also gives tid bits of wisdom from time to time...
