She was born in Manehattan to Pink Lemonade and Misty Morning. She grew up alongside her twin sister Daydream and was always the more energetic of the two, with her parents struggling to put her to bed. She would often be looked after by her much older half-sister Candy Floss and spent a lot of time with Soft Silk and Tango Fizz as a result.

She and her sister both have vivid imaginations and are known to be always suggesting ideas to ponies who need them. They gained their almost matching cutie marks at the same time after coming up with an idea together when Manehattan was attacked by a group of rogue Changelings seeking to revive their queen who's statue now stands in central Manehattan. Their complex disguises made it hard to spot them until the two twins came up with an idea that exposed them, setting up couples all across the city tempting them with love until they broke their illusions. As soon as all the changelings were arrested the two cutie marks appeared. 

She and her sister spent a long time competing for the attention of a stallion named Trend Setter, though Daydream ultimately won having developed true feelings for him and fallen pregnant with his foal, Nightlife backed off when she realised that her sister had much more affection for the stallion. 

She recently became a manager for a nightclub, she is valued for coming up with amazing new music, themes and shows to entertain the ponies of Manehattan with unique experiences every night. Ponies find that spending the night at her club they hardly ever feel tired and are filled with energy even after waking up the next day.

She is a very high energy pony, a chatterbox who almost never stops talking. She loves to dance and hates to sleep, rarely sleeping for more than 4 or 5 hours a day, and surprisingly she rarely gets tired. She's very strong both in will and physique and can come off as a little brazen and selfish, despite this she is actually a very caring pony and gets upset if someone isn't having fun, she's very protective of her sister though she will often tease her. 

She is a dark blue unicorn mare with long white locks, similar to her mother's and almost completely identical to her sister's. She has bright yellow eyes and is never seen without her yellow choker and socks. 

Her cutie mark is a moon obscured by a cloud and covered with a swirl of magic, she got it after saving Manehattan from Changelings.
