He is tall for a zebra, as well as skinny. He has several burn scars on his front hooves, as well as his chests. A part of his mane had been turned blue by his experiments. He wears a suit of leather armor that doubles as his smock for alchemy work, an it has been stained weird colors.

He is an eccentric and lighthearted fellow, though he becomes deadly serious with his potions or when his friends are in danger. He can be a bit of an airhead at times, and he isn't very familiar with the dangers of Equestria, but he is smart and loyal to his friends. He is extremely violent about betrayal, and will keep half an eye on any suspicious behavior.

Splash Solvent is an alchemist from Zebricia. Although not exactly the best alchmist, he still has some skill with his favorite task, and he loves to experiment.

 

Splash Solvent was born and raised in the northern parts of Zebricia and grew used to the heat and humidity of his home. As his tribe was closest to the 'strange new land' of Equestria, he grew used to seeing several caravans full of odd food and products, including a strange new fruit known as apples, sweet and crunchy, yet quite common to the north. The other things that would come in are potion supplies, such as amethyst and moongale. He was often sent by his master to pick up the ingredients, and soon developed a close relationship to his trader friends. After his apprenticeship was finished, he decided to go north with these traders to explore and to earn his food and shelter with his work. So, saying goodbye to his few friends in the tribe, he joined the next caravan heading north for a small fee of a few various potions, and he set off.

 

When he had arrived at the last stop- Seattle- he had already seen and harvested enough potion ingredients to last him a while, surprised by how common they were in the forests and meadows of Equestria. Splash Solvent decided to part ways here and- even if only temporarily- settle down in Canterlot. With the help of the caravan's head merchant, he was able to earn enough bits to get himself started in the Canterlot, then stayed behind, asking his friends to tell his parents that he had made it.

 

He rented out a small apartment from a kindly old gentlecolt and slowly began to build up his buisness in a small room in the back of his apartment.. It took him about six months of almost daily buying and selling in the market before he finally earned enough to rent his first storefront- a rather bossy mare named Shining Star- and continued to build his storefront. Soon enough, word began to spread that an alchemist had set up his shop in Canterlot, and he slowly began to get a steady stream of customers. Rarely did a rich noble find his store- as part of tribe tradition, he didn't advertise his work through fancy signs, merely hanging up the masks of welcome and good health- although several did become regular customers, such as another kind gentlecolt named Fancy Pants. He made a few friends and enemies through his erratic but kind behavior.

 

He doesn't really do adventuring, but he has to go out sometimes to harvest special plants that he needs for potions. He likes to have other adventurers with him as he does this- asides from a dagger, he doesn't use many weapons, and he likes to protect his flank from monsters and beasts. His diplomatic tongue comes in handy here, hard won from the streets of Canterlot and as the store owner/clerk.
