Arylett (Flareon)

Appearance: Arylett has the appearance of any other Flareon, being a small canine/feline creature with long rabbit-like ears, a red coat, and a yellowish fluffy tail and head tuft. However, she has several things that separate her from the norm, remaining from when she was once a human.<br /><br />Her eyes retain the same brownish shade they did in her humanity, and her fur is more of a vivid reddish red, with the yellow parts being darker and more desaturated. In addition to these subtle color differences that distinguish her as an individual, her yellow fur is strangely curly and thick as her human hair was. Also, she is shorter than your average Flareon, only being 2'8" and having a curvy build.<br /><br />For accessories, she wears crimson glasses, a fire lily near her ear, a long golden necklace with a ruby, and her Official Rena Exploration Team Badge.<br /><br />As an Eevee, she looked similarly, retaining her accessories minus the badge, which was a new accessory. Her brown fur was more of a reddish shade, whilst her cream-collar was darker than a normal Eevee's. She similarly was still of a smaller stature, only being 10".

Personality: Personality-wise, Arylett is strangely neurotic, shy, and rather socially awkward. She tends to be the more careful of Team Alterra, trying to keep to herself and stay away from any dangerous missions. Typically, however, she isn't quite forceful enough to dissuade her more risk-seeking companion Klopp.<br /><br />Though she might seem at first like a stingy overly cautious girl on the surface, the truth of the matter is that Arylett hosts hidden depths of eccentricity and humor, loving silliness and jokes. (Though not as much as her companion.) It is only stressful serious situations that drive her to be so cautious, the situation of being thrust into a world she understands nothing about. <br /><br />In actuality, she is a very strong-minded individual with passionate opinions and a vast emotional heart who can only fail at keeping her distance from others. It's as if she really can't stop caring enough, and cares deeply about the things she loves. Particularly those who she considers close friends, and worthy of her trust.<br /><br />Once she sets her eye on something she truly desires and has a drive to achieve, she only works restlessly to the point of insanity, not giving up in pursuit of her goals to the point where she would have to be forced to rest. She is very determined, in spite of her moodiness and general timidity, and tries to put on a brave face to hide any deeper concerns she might host.<br /><br />She is flawed in this sense. Doubtful of her own opinions, she does not express them much, and as a result, her negative emotions can sometimes bunch up causing an explosive unhealthy release. <br /><br />Arylett also isn't much into action, and prefers to stay on the sidelines, being more of the planner and strategist for the bulkier and all-around stronger Klopp. She seems to have taken a position of Team Alterra's unofficial leader, and has a tendency to plan out their next task. This is partially due to her knowledge as a former experienced Pokemon trainer behind the theory of how battles work. When she needs to though, she can prove her immense power for Special and Fire-type attacks, attacking from a distance rather than approaching the opponent, or helping out in battle with her supportive moves.<br /><br />Since having evolved into a Flareon, her personality has opened up more and shown more of its true fiery nature. Though she denies it and preferred having evolved into an Espeon, being a Flareon suits her quite well.

Backstory: As a human, Arylett first began her Pokemon trainer journey in the Johto region at the age of 17. Having travelled all across both Johto and Kanto several times, she became an experienced trainer of those two particular regions. For the most part, at least. In truth, she was less of a battler and more of a collector of knowledge. <br /><br />Arylett constantly perused several books and articles about Pokemon, as well as making heavy use of her Pokedex. Though she had plenty of theoretical knowledge of Pokemon, her relative lack of battle experience compared to others was her weakness. She was not the best battler she could've been or the best battler around. Her skill in battle was roughly slightly above mediocre, but nothing super special.<br /><br />One day, she had decided that it was time to broaden her horizons outside of the regions she had known and loved. The young lady had done quite a bit of research about the Hoenn region, and was interested in traversing it to see its species up close and personal. She was only just about to begin her new journey.<br /><br />When Arylett arrived at the Petalburg Woods, she saw a strange tall silhouette, and could remember nothing more before she passed out. The next she awoke, her body had been transformed into an Eevee and met a Luxio named Klopp who used to be a human as well. And from there on began her quest... an accidental evolution tripping over a Fire Stone. Then the creation of Team Alterra as the two wander the world of Black, a world inhabited by Pokemon only, trying to figure out how to get back their human forms. And ultimately, how to get back home.
