Appearance: Blackcat is a moderately sized unicorn with an orange coat and a burnt orange mane with black streaks. His coat is not 100% a solid color, and includes several out of the way black spots, including a bow tie shaped spot on his neck.

Cutie Mark: Blackcat's cutie mark may be best described as a jazz man. Blackcat is heavily involved in jazz/pop music and feels most alive when singing in a group.

Personality: Blackcat is a caring individual who firmly believes in the power of music to aide or hamper ones mood. He is most able to express himself through music and is a hopeless romantic, often serenading those he has feelings for. While not particularly good at writing music, Blackcat is never without a song in his heart and is always willing to provide some smooth tunes for an event via his ability to play the cello or sing. Your never without a friend in Blackcat. Always putting others before himself Blackcat thinks of himself as a shoulder to lean on, always willing to provide personal council to those who ask. He will not take sides on the conflicts of other ponies and prizes his ability to remain a neutral party. He is a must when a mediator is needed.

Backstory: Born in Canterlot but raised primarily in Appaloosa, Blackcat was able to experience several walks of life growing up. His family were some of the original settlers in Appaloosa and were primarily into the apple business like many others in the area. Despite being surrounded by the lifestyle of appaloosa Blackcat was very much enthralled by theatre, particularly shows involving singing. The harmonies of A Capella and the rhythm of smooth jazz immediately enthralled him and he began a quest to memorize as many tunes as he could with hopes of eventually starting his own quartet. Unfortunately lack of education in music has led to a laughably bad ability at actually writing music. However, thanks to his mothers cultured past in Canterlot he was able to learn how to play the cello under her tutelage
