Appearance: Dawn Rider has a Cyan coloured coat with a short Jet Black and Gold Mane.<br /><br />Dawn isn't the tallest pony around and his body is better built for speed then strength. He is very fit and fast, but doesn't have too much muscle.

Cutie Mark: His Cutie mark is of a single Blue Lightning Bolt.<br /><br />This cutie mark symbolises Dawn's love of speed and adrenalin, but the colour also represents his warmth around the ponies he loves.

Personality: Dawn is young,fast and a little boastful. But he is extremely loyal and helpful to his friends, not wanting to disappoint them. <br /><br />He can become very erratic, sometimes going off the radar for a few days.<br /><br />Dawn distrusts ponies he doesn't know and usually stays quiet around them whenever he is out of his home, but warms up to them quickly after a few interactions.<br /><br />Dawn can be quite intelligent when he sets his mind to it, but his boastful nature and brash,hard headed behaviour usually shadows this greatly.<br />

Backstory: Dawn was born and raised in Coltsville by his mother Sky High and father Cloud Jump. His Father died while Dawn was about 7 years old, which lead to his mother raising both Him and his sister silver star in their family home.<br /><br />From a young age , Dawn had admired and loved the weather ponies and the job which they did, providing the rain and cloud cover needed to help Coltsville's crops survive in such an isolated part of Equestria.<br /><br />He would sit outside and watch the Pegasi fly above doing their job, mesmerizing him in a way, and he knew that one day he would be amongst them some day.<br /><br />One day in school and opportunity presented itself for Dawn to prove his worth...they were looking for young ponies to become weather team apprentices, helping with smaller tasks around the weather factory nearby. The ponies would receive a small allowance and a spiffy uniform. Dawn HAD to accept, and so he showed up ready for his first day at work.<br /><br />He quickly became one of the most reliable young colts around the factory, many ponies calling on him for tasks that required a little more trust.<br /><br />This experience working the factory helped him very much. His days were always busy, never leaving him bored. It also helped shape him into the hard worker he is to this day.<br /><br />When Dawn turned 12 he took place in a small local race for young Pegasi. The other competitors were already known as great flyers, just as Dawn was himself, but he never had much chance to race in front of others, so this was the first time he could really show his skills.<br /><br />when the race started, Dawn took off ahead of everypony else, startling them quite alot, they never expected him to be as fast as he was. Dawn raced around the track, faster then any pony had ever done in that particular race, but was stopped short when he heard his sister below.<br /><br />Silver Star had wandered away from her mother and fallen into a small pond below. Dawn's mother was calling out for her frantically.<br /><br />Dawn took a steep dive and barely managed to grab his sister out of the water before she drowned. He lifted her up and put her down near his mother, as the ponies around cheered him and checked to see if his young sister was alright.<br /><br />The race had ended, but Dawn was revered for saving his sister that day, being presented with an award from the town's mayor.<br /><br />When Dawn finished school at the age of 17 he was quickly offered a place in the weather team, 4 days after his 17th Birthday.<br /><br />After only a year on the job, Dawn became Restless and decided to head off on his own...<br /><br />To this day, Dawn travels around Equestria, looking for his true calling...<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
