Personality: tomboy with a girly side, very quiet and shy, but friendly when approached, calm, down to earth unicorn.

Backstory: Dexterity grew up in Everfree forest with her botanist earth pony mother and unicorn father. Their home was grown by her father; it's made from trees and vines grown into the shape of a house. Dex loves their home very much and is very proud that her father built it with his magic. She is very close to her father. Her mother wasn't really the maternal type, instead she focused on the plants that she was so good at growing and studying. Her father was the one to raise Dexterity and her older brother, Valor.<br /> <br />Her father tried his best to teach Dexterity and Valor the best he could. He home schooled them and taught them the pony basics as well as everything he and their mother knew about their forest home. Silver Sage often had to leave them alone at home to follow their mother, Honey Blossom, on her ventures deep into Everfree, where he keeps her safe from all the dangerous beasts using his magic.<br /><br />Dexterity and Valor are very close. While Valor is about 5 years older than Dex, he considers her his closest friend. Valor received his cutie mark when protecting filly Dexterity from a timberwolf, during which he also received his nicked left ear.<br />Dexterity found her special ability very early on in filly-hood. She was using her magic to play with clay mud outside of their home and ended up shaping it into a very rough looking timberwolf. She squealed in delight when she saw what she had created and called to her parents to come see. Only her brother and father came. But their smiles and encouraging words solidified her cutie mark. She's quite proud that she got an artistic ability similar to her father.<br /><br />When Dexterity was 17 a pack of timberwolves attacked her parents while they were out searching for rare plants. Honey and Sage made it home, but just barely. Her father died that night from his wounds. Valor decided to stay at the home and take care of their mother, like his father did.<br /><br />Dexterity left that same night with only her saddlebags of art supplies. She holds her mother responsible for Silver Sage's death and won't return the family home. Dex wandered cold and afraid for days before she found her way out of the forest and to Ponyville, where she eventually would make her home.<br /><br />Ponies find Dexterity quiet and a bit shy, but very friendly when approached. Having lived in Everfree, she had never come across other ponies until she had found Ponyville, so she really doesn't like crowds.
