Appearance: Has green-grey coat with emerald green eyes. A black, slightly messy mane and tail. Usually totes a black turtleneck sweater or vest, a black beret, and glasses.
Cutie Mark: A Yin-Yang symbol with beamed 8th notes. This represents Beat's love for music as well as his deep bond with philosophy. He discovered this while doing vocals based on an ancient poem that an elder monk had passed on to him.
Personality: Fine Beat tends to be reserved until he encounters another he is comfortable with. He loves to talk and longs to socialize, but often cannot easily start a conversation with a stranger.

He often gives off a wise-vibe with his philosophical views. Knowing that most would not understand, he usually keeps them to himself. Often seen as a lonely one.

He is kind and relatively calm, but has a tendency to explode when pushed to his limit. He has a negative view on the Equestrian society and follows the "Beatnik" way.
Backstory: Born in Manehattan, Fine Beat had grown up watching ponies go on with there daily life with great interest. He grew up the "picture perfect" world, from his days as a colt in elementary school to his rather quiet life at his apartment.

He hated it.

His parents had run a coffee shop down on the corner until Beat had hit the age of 5. Then, a wealthy unicorn had given his father a huge business proposal that he couldn't refuse and the family had moved to Canterlot. When that happened, Beat's life turned upside down. His mother and father wanted to follow strict social norms of Canterlot. Be well kempt, dress nicely, say "please and thank you", don't talk unless spoken to... they had wanted to form the typical perfect Equestrian family.

Fine beat had tolerated this until he hit his college years, where he had struck his father in an argument about his studies and "rebellious" behavior. He left Canterlot and returned to Manehattan, where he had began to question his life. Afraid of contemplating suicide, he ended up visiting monks living in the city who helped him find himself. He soon discovered the life of the counter-culture, and became a beatnik.

He has lived a quiet life since then, hanging around a nearby coffee shop regularly with his friends.
