Appearance: Freespirit is a normal sized mare unicorn.
Cutie Mark: Her talent is the ability to cause unrest due to law and authority. She got it during a peaceful worker's strike after she turned it into a riot by inciting violence on a member of the royal guard.
Personality: Free spirit is an anti-authority pony. Even before the disappearance of the Princesses, she hated authority and vowed to break it. Her anarchy is the result of an unfair society. Most of her spite of authority is directed towards the noble unicorn class of Canterlot, as she directly experienced the cruelty of this class as a filly. Another result of her her experiences as a young pony is a deep mistrust of anypony, but she has adapted to make friends and trust in others when the situation calls for it. She has become an expert at blending in and fending for herself. She despises the social class because of her stunted growth, not realizing that there were and still are nobles in favor of freedom.
Backstory: Freespirit was born into a family of Unicorn nobility in Canterlot. Around the age of eight, she witnessed the blackmail of a stallion who spoke out against the current rulers of Canterlot, carried out by her parents, she began to question the authorities (namely the nobles prevalent in her life). After asking her already distant parents why they were threatening ponies attempting to speak freely, her parents told her that unicorns have divine right. Freespirit then realized that her family would never want true freedom for everypony, despite their ability in their new position in House Moon and Star. As a result, she ran from home to start a new life in the Canterlot slums, when she turned 10, about six years after the princesses disappeared.
Her intelligence and self-sufficency that she learned from her home life helped her to survive her time in the slums. Eventually, she met a stallion who shared her views about the noble class and the newly instituted houses. This stallion became a very good friend of hers, and one day he decided to start a peaceful protest against the current rulers of Canterlot, House Moon and Star.
The protest resulted in the death of the stallion and several other protesters. Freespirit barely escaped alive from the massacre. After learning about the death of her only friend, she became extremely hateful to any authority, and decided that the only freedom that could exist is unhindered by a ruling figure. Thus, she began her anarchist beliefs.
Freespirit caused a major riot in Canterlot in order to avenge the death of her friend. Shortly after the division of Equestria, she became an agent for hire, with the extremely useful ability to enter into any city and cause political turmoil. Freespirit later became an aquaintance of Fluttershy, leader of House Everfree, in order to advance her political views. She refuses to have anything to do with Moon and Star because of her parents and her murdered friend.
