Cutie Mark: A symbol of black/dark magic. Glimmer discovered it when she first used her magical powers, and it's color was black. She has the ability to kill anypony who gets in her way, but since she is still a foal who has a little bit of mercy left in her, Glimmer usually severley injures another pony.
Personality: Sure, this little filly looks cute and innocent, but you haven't seen her true self. Glimmer acts like any regular filly, acting all sweet and kind. But when she gets angry, she won't like you anymore. She'll most likely try to kill you with her magic if she doesn't get something "her way". Glimmer is a bit spoiled, only because she threatens her family if they don't give her what she wants.
Backstory: Glimmer Gem lives in Ponyville with her parents and grandparents. She had no siblings, which meant that she could get all the attention. The family had a pet cat, and one day, she was playing with him. The cat suddenly became threatened by the filly, and scratched her cheek. Usually, Glimmer would cry, but not this time. Frightened by the sudden attack, she accidentally triggered her magical abilities and killed the Cat.

Then, she realized the greatness of Magic. It could do anything. After the Cat's death, Glimmer continued her practice of Black Magic, killing birds and rodents that scurried through the garden. Practice makes perfect.

One day, Glimmer's Grandmother was returning from the market. Usually, her Grandmother would bring back a peach for Glimmer as a treat. But this time, there wasn't a peach. Acting as a foal would, Glimmer was upset about this. Throwing a fit, the filly triggered her magic, and crushed every bone in the old mare's body.

The rest of the family discoevered this, and were frightened of their once beloved little filly. Glimmer knew that she could do anything she wanted, and get anything she wanted. Since then, she has been treated as a princess, threatening her "subjects" with black magic if something didn't go her way. Glimmer loved feeling like a princess, but inside, was a true Tyrant.
