  • High Voltage

    skbl17

    • Age: 29

      Gender: Female

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: There is an image, but it should be noted that those peach-colored streaks in her mane and tail are not natural: it was originally all orange-yellow until she joined TPL.

Cutie Mark: High Voltage's cutie mark is self-explanatory. She is an electrokinetic, has an interest in electricity and magnetism, and works in the field.

Personality: On a normal day, her personality tends to be spontaneous, energetic, and fun. These qualities draw mixed reactions from her friends and colleagues; some find her personality a bit annoying, while others find her energetic personality quite welcoming, especially in the face of disaster...not that it matters, because when a disaster happens or danger approaches, High Voltage drops the fun side of her, becoming a serious, 100% goal-focused pony. She does not take very kindly to attempts to distract her once she's set her mind on a goal.

Backstory: High Voltage was born in the Equestrian seaside town of Coconut Beach. Known as the "lightning capital of Equestria", the town had seen both its share of good (the town was the first in the entire country to receive electric power) and bad (three deaths have been attributed to poorly-aimed lightning strikes). HiVo's parents decided to name her High Voltage "in honor" of the town and its electricity-related legacy. <br /><br />Her foalhood was good, if uneventful. She made many friends thanks to her upbeat and fun personality, went to a good school, and became a widely-known foal in Coconut Beach. Then, just before HiVo's third-to-last year of school, the family moved north to Haytona, a much larger city. She did not take this well, and was essentially out of things for a few months. Even to this day, she's "not the same pony she was in her youth."<br /><br />Eventually, HiVo graduated in the upper-middle of the class ("well above-average, but not excellent" she says,) attended the Trade College of Tropicala in Mareami, got a degree, and now works with TPL, the local electric utility, as a respected senior linepony.<br /><br />...but seriously, why is "HV" such a bad nickname? She still won't tell us.
