Appearance: (The cutie mark is not shown in the image - this will probably be changed later, but for now the cutie mark will just have to be imagined.)
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is of a purple paint splotch, representing her creativity and imagination that helps with writing and poetry, lying, painting, and such things as that, if she chooses to do so. She got it when, one day, she made a small painting of an orchid. She loved using her creativity (which she now rarely experiences), and thus her cutie mark appeared. She was so young, and the first in her class to get a cutie mark.
Personality: She is mostly kind, but will make suffer anyone who brings despair upon her. She only trusts or distrusts someone after years of knowing them, due to unknowing attempts that had cost her father his life - she would not be like his killers. She was always fond of nature, but could rarely view it. Jade had a depressed yet determined nature from scars she couldn't possibly forget. She wasn't shy, but was careful when she spoke, in case what she said could be used against her. And she was, occasionally, a daydreamer, trying to go back to the times when all was well. You could never tell what Jade was thinking, and she almost never told. She had had only one book to read growing up - the dictionary, so she uses fancy words when trying to be impressive, which she isn't often. Jade is complicated, since she often has unpredictable mood swings (none of the moods in them being happy) as a result of memories driving her, occasionally, to the brink of insanity. If you've seen her smiling, you're the only one alive on the planet who has. One very strange thing about her is that she's a kleptomaniac. She grew up having to steal to live, and while she hates to do it, she made a habit of it. After eight years of theft, it's hard to stop. She never will lie about stealing something though - if she steals, she tells, which can be a very bad thing.
Backstory: Up to the time when Jade was two years old, all was normal. She loved the outdoors, and the sun always shined above her head as she smelled the flowers. She loved the breeze on her face. She loved to smile.

Jades' parents had a a fair amount of money and lived in a nice tree-based house in Ponyville. It had forest green shingles on the roof, and the outside walls were a deep ocean blue. Inside, they had a small brick fireplace with family pictures on the pearly white mantle. There were nice, comfy chairs in many colors. Paintings of Jades' covered the walls. Jades' bedroom walls were a light rose color, and the floor was a pasty teal. Her fluffy blankets were neon orange, and the pillows always strewn across them were a sunny yellow. Jade was content with pretty much everything - her friends, her family, her house.

Jade can't remember much of that now.
