Cutie Mark: Jet Stream's talent is writing stories. His Cutie Mark depicts this by showing a piece of paper with a pencil crossing over it, with sparkles representing imagination flowing around it.

Personality: Jet Stream is pleasant, and tries to be kind, although he can be cynical at times. He doesn't enjoy physical labor, which makes him at times a bit lazy. He always bears the emotional burden of proving his parents wrong, and not being under their influence, which can at times cause him to be depressed. His dislike for competition also causes him to dislike most sports. Even flying, which his species was meant to do, is a chore to him.

Backstory: Jet Stream was born in Fillydelphia. He was the offspring of Wind Stream (the father) and High Stream (the mother). They were both capable and fast fliers, and their family name was relatively popular because of it. Wanting their son to live up to their expectations, they named him Jet Stream and smothered him with the idea of flying fast, being physically strong, and competition. <br /> <br />With his fate being forced upon him, Jet Stream grew angry and began to seek his own path and resent his parents. When he would fly off, pretending to be practicing, he would bring his notebook and instead write stories. One day, he had tapped into his imagination and created a story that caused him to feel something he never normally did – pride. When he returned home, his parents were shocked to see that he had a Cutie Mark, but were utterly disgusted to see that it had absolutely nothing to do with flying, but it was for writing stories. <br /> Fueled with rage, his parents grew very angry with him, forcing him to fly even more than he already had, despite the fact it wasn't his purpose in life. Soon, Jet Stream decided that he had no other way out, so he foolishly ran away from home, bringing only his notebook and pen with him. Jet Stream found his way to Canterlot, and there an old Earth Pony named Hoofrey took him in, providing he helped around the house. The two became fast friends, and with a loving home, he is now able to focus on writing.
