Appearance: Lightning has a dark and light purple patched coat and an indigo mane and tail.

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is a lightning bolt. It means that he is as fast as lightning, flight wise.

Personality: Lightning is impulsive, acts before he thinks and blurts stuff out in the heat of the moment, to be regretted later. He's a loyal friend, but can irritate at times due to his bouncy and hyper personality. Lightning gets impatient with slower ponies, and can get annoyed if he has to wait for anything. He'd also rather try something and fail rather than avoid it cuz it might be difficult.

Backstory: Lightning grew up dreaming of being in a flying team like the Wonderbolts, or the flight team his mother was once a part of; the Cloudchasers. He was moderate at his lessons at junior high, mainly cuz he concentrated more on sports and flying lessons. Lightning met with a filly named Clover who had a plan to save a young filly from a curse at a town in the Everfree Forest called Sunny Town. When Clover levitated the filly, Lightning and another of his friends, Morning Glory, caught the filly and carried her to safety.<br /><br />Lightning continued to practice his flying, sometimes crashing whenever he failed to perform a trick correctly but persevering regardless. Eventually, he got his cutie mark by winning a race at Flight Camp. When he was old enough, he enrolled at Wonderbolts Academy, and passed with flying colours. Lightning is now one of the Wonderbolts and proud of the fact, but tries not to let himself get too conceited. In any case, his friends keep his hooves firmly on the ground as far as that goes.
