Cutie Mark: A swiss army knife, to show how he can build almost anything with it.

Personality: He is very cunning, clever and smart, but seems to get himself in bad situations often. He finds himself needing to protect others and do what's right, but he can never seem to take any hints, and needs to be told things flat out.<br /><br />He also doesn't seem to have a lot of emotion. Or, if he does, he is very good at hiding it.<br /><br />He is also very focused on missions when he has them, and pays attention to anything that does not deal with his mission

Backstory: Long ago, MacHayver found himself in a sticky situation; an evil pony had trapped him, and he was just a silly teenager. Life as he knew it was about to end.<br /><br />Fortunately, MacHayver knew a bit of engineering. There was a swiss army knife near by, and he was able to build a device using the knife and the rocks around him to break himself free and save himself, and his hometown, Manehattan. Thus he earned his cutie mark, and decided that he had to save the world from evil ponies everywhere, using his skills to stop the bad guys.
