• Mourmedy Stanton

    Arylett Charnoa

    • Age: 32

      Gender: Female

      Species: Non-Pony

Appearance: Mourmedy is a rather formidable-looking human woman. Though short and standing at a mere 5'3", she has a rather slender build. Her eyes are a cold steel gray, whilst her hair is a rather dull blonde. Her face is harshly featured and rather angular and sharp. Lastly, she has skin that is a bit on the pale side.

Clothing: Mourmedy's outfit is rather simple. She wears a black shirt and pants, with a lengthy collared ivory buttoned overcoat which is always left open. Upon her feet are her matching white boots, which have dark markings. Upon her shoulder, she wears a technological sort of device. It goes across her chest and manifests to a full arm gauntlet. This device gives her slight protection, and is a very sleek metallic silver, harboring a white pearl-like gem in the slot of the shoulder. It has several claws on the fingers and a sharp spike sticking out of the wrist. She uses it to enhance her physical combat prowess

Personality: An intelligent woman of great ambition and no-nonsense, Mourmedy Stanton does NOT play around. Once she takes to a cause, she will attack it with such drive and tenacity that it is almost ruthless. Most do not note her to express many emotions other than annoyance, and the occasional cold glare. If one thing can be said about Mourmedy though, it is that the woman is fiercely determined.

Of course, as with most who do not outwardly display many emotions, there is much more to Mourmedy than meets the eye. She has a constant fear of being proven weak and usurped of power, and displays an intimidating face to show others their place. It is because of this that she often chooses to take on leadership roles, refusing to be a follower as she feels it is inferior. Her greatest fear is to be proven weak, as a matter of fact. In all honesty, Mourmedy deals more with anxiety than anger. Her inner turmoils are rather intense, as she thinks out carefully every detail of how she needs to get where she needs to go.

Though she is not completely inhuman. The only person on the planet she cares about fiercely is her little sister, who she is quite protective of.

Another thing she fears is losing her focus and being left to the extreme emotions within her. She is constantly focusing on other things to ignore her own feelings, which she considers a sign of weakness as well. The reason she is so driven is not only a drive to prove herself, but as a way to block out what she really feels within. Mourmedy is constantly metaphorically sleeping with one eye open, having to watch out for her repressed emotions being released in their entirety. Not only are these emotions negative, but they are also positive. She doesn't even want so much as to smile or be friendly to anyone (with the except of her little sister). If such happened, she would have little control of herself.

Luckily, she has become very skilled at repressing them. But at times, one can see a little glimpse of that fear in her cool gray eyes...

Backstory: Born to a family of Talon and dragon-hating extremists, it became very clear to Mourmedy soon what foul beasts should not exist on the planet. Her parents were extremely strict, punishing their daughter for so much as spilling a glass of milk. They make her dress perfectly, act perfectly, and overall be perfectly. As they were of the Talon, they had quite a few governmental connections and were rather wealthy. With their wealth, they trained their daughter to be a renaissance woman - one who was capable of a variety of many skills. She learned how to play piano, she learned martial arts, she learned how to fight, she learned proper etiquette and manners at the table, and had prestigious private tutors.

In such a childhood, she only felt close to her little sister. And indeed, this was the only person she had such a relationship with. The two bonded and related in such a tense household, and had a fondness of jewels. In particular, her sister was quite fond of pearls. She received a rather massive one for her birthday, which Mourmedy had helped her each day to polish.

Yet sadly, she was still quite dissatisfied with the state of her life. With the large amounts of wealth they possessed, she did not feel as though her skills were her own. It felt too easy for Mourmedy. Feeling regret at leaving her sister, she left home early and went to train with the military for the war against the dragons. She wanted to prove herself, to prove that she could live without all that wealth.

In those years, she suffered many hardships as the military crushed her slowly into her more disciplinary persona. They mocked her constantly for her upbringing, calling her weak, spineless, helpless little rich girl who didn't know anything about the TRUE troubles of life.

Then she truly learned.

It was on the field. Still a bit ripe from training, Mourmedy was not quite as skilled, and only looked away for one moment. In that instance, she was shot in the arm. The bullet became lodged and severely damaged the nerves her left arm to the point of paralysis. The arm could only function with very limited movement even after years of rehabilitation.

In spite of this, Mourmedy refused to leave the military and taught herself how to manage with one arm. She trained hard everyday, and refused to give up. If she let something as simple as an injury get her, then she would be weak. She would obtain a gift from her sister, who had heard of Mourmedy's injury in concern. It was when Mourmedy had obtained her special gauntlet, with her sister's prized pearl attached. Her resolve strengthened, she continued onwards, and would protect that pearl with her life.

Her perseverance impressed military officials. Mourmedy rose through the ranks, having seen much bloodshed and murder, and committed some of it herself. She was cold and careless to it all. It meant nothing to her... as long as her goals were completed. Though formidable, she still has a lot to learn, and aspires to one day personally slay all the dragons on the planet. A massive and surely impossible goal, but Mourmedy is a woman who dreams big. She wants to do it... to finally prove once and for all that she is not the weak and helpless little rich girl they all once called her. And most importantly, to rid the world of those vile evil beasts.
