• Oblivion Shine

    FlowerGhost

    • Age: 22

      Gender: Female

      Species: Pegasus

      Cutie Mark:
As seen in her appearance, Oblivion's Cutie Mark is a tragedy mask next to a book with blood on it. This represents her passion for horror and writing horror novels.

      Personality:
Oblivion seems cold and distant around most ponies, speaking in a monotone and disinterested voice. She prefers to express herself through writing. However, she shows no sign of aggression towards most people unless they provoke her first. She enjoys talking about spooky stories and legends, and always appreciates a friend who will listen. Despite seeming like somepony who never grew out of her goth phase, she is passionate for what she does. If you can get close to her, she's playful and talkative, loving to tease her friends with scary stories and taking them to haunts. Despite this, she is angered easily and is quick to judge. She also has trouble seeing where ponies' boundaries lay, which causes her to take her teasing too far at times. She is an incredibly talented writer, and has published many successful horror novels.

      Backstory:
Oblivion grew up in a pretty standard household in Filly Delphia. Her mother was a writer for children's books, and her father worked for the local newspaper. Her parents stayed in the house to take care of her a lot, as their work didn't require much travel. They treated her well, but raised her to be a bit aloof since the never taught her much about interacting with others. She had always expected to get her cutie mark in something for writing as well. Growing up, Oblivion didn't have many friends, as her distant and blunt behavior scared off many other fillies. This didn't bother her much, though, and she grew up being used to being alone. To take up her free time, she took up writing, though she soon became frustrated with it. When she was around 9, she met her first best friend, a colt by the name of Pen Press. Press had already received his cutie mark-he had a talent for editing other's writing. Meeting him was a relief to Oblivion, for not only did she now have somepony to hang out with, she had someone to help her with her writing. He starting looking over her fantasy genre writing, and said it just wasn't the genre for her. After another year of writing, rewriting, and scrapping, Oblivion finally took up the horror genre. She received her cutie mark after finishing her first short story that she was happy with-a horror story. Pen Press remained her friend for years, and they still keep in touch after he moved away to Las Pegasus. When she was old enough, Oblivion moved away from her family home to go pursue her writing.
