Cutie Mark: 2 rubies. His magic revolves around the use of rubies. Using magic on rubies can cause a ruby-fire attack or make an amazing light show. It really depends on what kind of spell he uses on the ruby. He gained his cutie mark after freeing himself from diamond dogs that had captured him. (In the backstory)

Personality: Although he is young Royal, is very resourceful. He believes in justice and personal morals. He hunts for rubies and gathers a huge collection. He can animate rubies into a gem golem when he has enough with him. He often warns others not to misjudge him because of his age. If anypony claims he is not right for a task because of his age, he proves them wrong.

Backstory: Royal lives with his friends in Manehatten. He likes to explore in caverns in search of adventure but was once captured by diamond dogs. He was forced to work for them for a year. One day his horn was pulled towards a small ruby on the ceiling. The diamond dogs saw it and ordered him to retrieve it for them. He focused his energy(he is not a skilled magician)on the ruby it glowed with a strong radiance and dropped from the ceiling. The small ruby turned out to be a huge one that crushed the greedy diamond dogs, whom were standing under the gem at the time.<br /><br />He now studies rubies and their magical effects on outside environments.
