Personality: She is very shy, as she cannot talk, and does not like to see other ponies. In fact, she has almost developed a fear of other ponies, as she is afraid of being rejected for not being able to talk.

Backstory: When Silent was a young filly, her house was attacked. She was kidnapped, but her family escaped. The kidnappers asked her to reveal her family's hiding spot, but she would not talk. Instead of killing her, one of the kidnappers used his magic to silence her forever, as a punishment for not talking. Her family was found and killed as well.<br />She tried to report the crimes, but could not, as she did not know how to communicate without her voice. She found a zebra healer, who was able to cast a counter spell. Her voice would return when she found a pony willing to sacrifice part of their voice for hers. In other words, she had to find a pony who loves her and she loves back, and if they kiss, her voice will return. However, because of her fear of other ponies, she does not try to find somepony to help her, and instead hides away from the world. She used music to learn how to dance, using her dancing to express her loneliness. Thus her cutie mark appeared, however, she still did not go out into the world afterwards, as her fear lingered.
