Personality: On the surface, Skysong was a very congenial and laid-back pony. She was always smiling, quick with a joke, and could be as rough-and-tumble as any colt in Canterlot. But the ponies who knew her most knew how the pressures of her life could get her down, her constant fear of failure, and drive to be the best she could be.

Backstory: Skysong's real name was Wing Aria of the Night Sky. She was one of Princess Celestia's many nieces. Along with her cousin Cadence, Skysong was much loved and very famous throughout the kingdom. She performed her music all over Equestria as part of the group Color&Light. The music that she composed was accompanied by dazzling magical lights and aerial acrobatics. Spitfire of the Wonderbolts was an avid fan and occasionally appeared as a guest flier in C&L performances.<br /><br />Along with her musical talent, Skysong was also very skilled with magic. Her raw talent was noted by her aunt at an early age and cultivated with great diligence. Because of this, Skysong felt a very deep and abiding sense of responsibility to her friends and loved ones.
