Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a strawberry shortcake surrounded by candy of different shapes and sizes. Its because she can make amazing sugary treats and desserts!

Personality: Sugar is a very talkative, and bubbly pony. She moves, jumps, twitches, and shakes about. Some ponies find this annoying, but she just couldn't help it. She's so hyper and packed with energy that she HAS to move. Her saddle pack, which she brings everywhere, is always filled with treats. Her speech is always stuttered and is spoken in a fast tone. Someponies even suggested to decrease or even stop her sugar intake, which she tried, but failed, miserably. When she's happy, she's chatty, cheerful, and energetic. But she's the complete opposite when she's nervous or scared. She shakes and stutters more than usual and she increases her sugar intake in an attempt to calm down. She becomes quiet, pale, and somepony might say, crazy. Due to her being hyper, she is very jumpy and gets spooked out very, I mean very, easily. Her biggest fear is the Dark though. She's a very generous pony and will not hesitate to give her treats away to anyone that might ask. Due to her energy, she does things in a high speed, for example: trotting, galloping, talking, eating, almost everything she does! She is famous for her homemade treats which she makes herself that she made it into a business! She tends to be reckless and is more of a doer than a thinker.

Backstory: Sugar's childhood was quite normal. Her mother and father are loving and would take care of her like how any parent would. Her parents weren't overprotective and allowed her to do whatever she wants, just as long as they approve. They would allow her to go outside and play, but she wasn't much of a social filly. She would mostly spend her time in the kitchen learning how to make treats and desserts and such. But whenever she does, her parents would always keep close watch on her and would NOT let her taste her own creations, or anything with sugar basically. As odd as that sounds, her treats are delicious, she just doesn't know the flavor. She would always ask why, but her parents refused to tell her. To make sure her talent wasn't wasted, they would make a little bakery where they sell her tasty treats. Knowing her parents would never budge, she would just shrug off the topic and do what they say. A few years later, she would notice their bakery would increase in popularity as time goes on. This would make her very curious. What was in her treats that a lot of ponies would come and buy them? She simply MUST know. <br /><br />One night, she sneaked into the bakery and took a gumdrop. She popped it into her mouth and her eyes widened with satisfaction. She hummed in delight and chewed the sweet gumdrop slowly, savoring its taste. She then took out a shortcake, one of her specialties, and took a bite. A smile overtook her face and a few tears flew down her eyes. She now knew the real taste of her treats. No wonder many ponies would enjoy them. A glow emerged from her flank and a picture of a strawberry shortcake surrounded by candy appeared. <br /><br />But that isn't the end of her story. You see, this is her first time of tasting anything this sweet. So, she developed an addiction over it. Every night, she would sneak into the bakery and eat one of her tasty creations. As every night passed, the amount of sugar intake would increase, giving quite an affect. She would be more energetic than usual and would go out more often. Her parents thought it was her finally coming out of her shell, so they let her do so. She was now more social and has a lot of friends, she would come back home happy and talkative about her day. But as time went on, and more sugar was sent down her system, her parents and friends started to notice something different. She would shake, as in all the time, she would also twitch occasionally and be very jumpy. Her speech is now fast and stuttered which took a while for someponies to understand. Her parents confronted her and made her tell the truth. They went for a doctor, but he only suggested that she should minimize her sugar intake. This wasn't a good idea though.<br />The moment she lowered down her sugar, she would start looking pale. She would go quiet and depressed. One things for sure, she NEEDED sugar. Seeing this, her parents let her be.<br /><br />She was now returned to her old normal self and she's planning to stay like it. When she got older, she decided to move out and lived in Ponyville. There she opened her very own bakery and has been happy since.
