Species: Pegasus

Appearance: A smaller-than-average white pegasus mare. Wind Cycler has a tri-color light blue, blue, and yellow mane and tail color combination. Her mane is usually somewhat tidy and well-groomed, with small light-blue curls hanging over her face. Her tail style mimics the lower half of her mane, with the three colored parts splitting apart at the end. Admittedly, the yellow parts of her mane and tail are dyed. Her eyes are emerald green.

Cutie Mark: Despite being mildly skilled at weather manipulation and music, Wind Cycler has yet to receive a cutie mark. She doesn't let it bother her and doesn't much care for finding it out anyway.<br /><br />(In stories that take place in the future, her cutie mark is shown to be a snow cloud and a thunder cloud arranged in a yin-yang symbol)

Personality: Because of her inability to speak, most ponies automatically assume Wind Cycler to have a shy personality, however they are mistaken. Wind Cycler is a very much extroverted and outgoing pony who loves interacting with the friendly ponies of Des Manes. If the communication barrier is bridged, she is found to be very friendly, expressive, and emotional pony. She becomes frustrated when other ponies do not pay her attention that is due her, or when they treat her significantly differently than others based on her disability. Ponies that work regularly with her would describe her as helpful, observant, and impulsive.<br /><br />Wind Cycler does have a few personality quirks, the most prominent one being her recklessness. As she cannot speak, she often fights for attention from other ponies, sometimes going so far as to break objects. She can also be rather clingy to her friends -- because only a very few ponies know hoof language, she instantly feels that conversing with another pony means they have something special, and thus can be overly possessive over her friends. She is also feels that she looks plain, which is why she dyes her mane.

Backstory: Wind Cycler was born and raised in Baltimare. Her parents were very caring and kind, however due to an accident that had happened only a few months beforehand, her father had lost both his job and his rear left leg, forcing the mother to work to support the family. Thus, she was raised primarily by her father. Being the pony that taught her basic communication skills, her father encouraged her to be outgoing and energetic rather than shy and reserved.<br /><br />As she was growing up and going through school, she was a frequent target for bullying, not only because of her disability, but also because she was a late bloomer. Despite this, she proved herself to be quite an intelligent pony, earning a half-scholarship to a flight and weather school in Des Manes. Here she encountered a colt named Meson Bolt, the only pony in her school that understood hoof language. The two became quick friends and, although the bullying didn't quite stop, Meson Bolt shielded her for the most part.<br /><br />Right after her graduation she received news that her mother had been diagnosed with with cancer. She rushed home to help tend to her mother while her father looked for work. However after several months of searching for jobs, her father was unable to come up with anything. Wind Cycler chose to return to Des Manes to get a job and support herself and her parents.
