Appearance: She has a light brown flank, and a dark brown mane in a ponytail similar to Applejack's. She has bright, vivid blue eyes, and is often seen wearing a confused or hurt expression, resulting in many ponies asking what the problem is when nothing's wrong.

Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark, which is not visible in the screenshot, is a yin yang sign, which shows that she often has a hard time making up her mind and is usually torn between two opposites. She is interested in science, but she has an open mind and will consider anything possible.

Personality: She is a kind-hearted and good tempered pony, and she will help anyone to the best of her ability. She is very smart, not just academically but in most aspects of her life. She is streetwise and savvy, and she treats everyone evenly. It takes a lot to irritate her. <br />Her way of dealing with shock or anger is quiet disbelief. When very angry, she will send the offender to Coventry, or in other words give them the silent treatment, until she has calmed down enough to talk about it.<br />She believes in equality, and is strongly against discrimination of any sort. <br />She is not good with social situations and is not very good at making friends. She is also very superstitious and set in her ways. Her unlucky number is thirteen.

Backstory: She doesn't often like to talk about her backstory, as it brings back many memories that she doesn't want to talk about.<br />Her parents were killed in an accident when she was eight. Soon after, her older brother, Celtic Knot, committed suicide at the age of thirteen, unable to cope with the pain of losing his parents. Lost and alone, Yin had to cope by herself, trawling the streets of Ponyville looking for work. After three years, at the age of eleven, she finally found a part-time job in the country, working for a farmer, and was able to pay rent for a small cottage near the farm.<br />She has only a few friends in Ponyville, but none of them are trustworthy enough to hear about her past. Her one goal is to find one friend, a true friend, that she can trust.
