Appearance: Zephyr is a taller Pegasus with a skinny build. Great for max speeds as needed in his line of work. The unique property of him however, is his ears, his wings, and his build.<br /><br />Hailing from Mesodale, the city in which pegasus' bodies adapt to low gravity conditions for survival.

Cutie Mark: It is thought that his cutie mark appeared at his first day in creation of the Aurora Borealis. He was determined to set the record time and show to the others what he was capable of. However things did not go as planned, and ended up knocking another Pegasus out of the sky. As they were free falling, against orders, he raced after her and was reaching the point of no return. With his mane starting to catch on fire, he managed to snatch up the Pegasus and very weakly make it back, struggling against gravity all the way.<br /><br />When Zephyr landed, he found the cutie mark. Ponies think that it's design is based off of the story of Icarus, the legend of the pony who flew too high and caught fire for being too close to the sun. In the same way that Zephyr's mane was on fire as he fell.

Personality: Zephyr is very athletic, and takes pride in his top speed, a little too much at times though. and this has caused him trouble in the pass. He is very one track mind, in which if he sets a goal, he is determined to see it through to the end, regardless of what stands in his way. He knows how to have a good time, and enjoys making others laugh, but when alone, he has tendencies to be in a slump. This emotion mask is one that he's been trying to deal with, but has gotten the better of him over and over again. He finds it hard to open up to others, so he instead changes his personality to best match whoever he's talking to.

Backstory: Zephyr hails from a Hidden City called Mesodale, which is located high in the atmosphere between the Mesosphere and Thermosphere. It is extremely rare for an Stratosphere Pegasus to reach the city, and as such, the Pegasus that hail from here are known to be legendary. It is known that any Pegasus who fall from here can not return as Gravity is too much for them to handle to come back up. They head the space defense which has saved Equestria from many a disaster from meteors, extreme weather, etc. It is almost impossible to see the city from on land as the light particles tend to bend and hide the city, however you can catch a glimpse during a Aurora Borealis.<br /><br />The pegasus from his city tend to have very little muscle mass, as gravity is very weak at this high, and their body forgo some alterations. Such as larger wing size than Stratosphere Pegasus, to catch what little momentum there is, and specially formed ears to further improve aerodynamic abilities.<br /><br />Zephyr's job consist of helping with the others to make the Aurora Borealis. It's not much but he loves to know that his work is appreciated downwards on earth, and he loves the color. On his off time, he's an artist and loves to draw with a pen. It is most speculated that this comes from the Aurora, but not quite sure.
