  1. Hey pony fans out there! I was just wondering if any of you read the Equestria girls series? I'm just wondering if there will be more books after the latest one.
  2. So I don't want to start a fight between these two forums as I see them as great Forums to be in. Back to the story, I saw a member named "Quiet Lyrabon Fan" with the description: "I'm shy, but I like Lyrabon...". They were on the site for a while but after an hour or two, I saw that they were banned. I don't know they're email nor do I know who they are, but I think they're a brony due to the name. So I must ask, is that site off limits to bronies simply because they're bronies? If so then the website's heads need to take a breather and realize that just because someone watches MLP:FIM doesn't give a website's head to ban them. A moderater can lock this thread and ban me or warn me but I'm just a little fumed at the idea right now. If the December 13th bill comes to pass, I hope their access crashes for what they did. NOTE: I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO HARRASS THE SITE. TALK TO IT'S MODERATORS, YES, BUT DON'T FULL ON SPAM IT. SOME USERS COULD BE GOOD PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH TROLL BS. I will give the link to the site upon being messaged ONLY if they promise not to harrass the site and instead contact the Moderaterors about Quiet Lyrabon Fan. I apologise if I have started a war between the sites and I will leave the site if asked to. Moving this thread to Ever free Forest Forums.

  4. Yeah, so I watched Ted 2 on Wednesday and it was awesome. But here's the thing, there was a segment where SPOILER ALERT: Donny works for Hasbro, and he and the boss of Hasbro plot to kidnap Ted, there were Equestria Girls and MLP. Later in the film, during the Comic Con, someone uses a Pinkie Pie Statue in the fight scene. I loled, but was wondering, is the film Mocking Bronies? In the first film, there is a Daytona cabinet in the bowling alley, it can't be mocking Daytona fans, but it's good to see a Retro video game cabinet in a film, I wish Daytona was still popular. Sega say that they finally realize they suck, And they say they will realize franchises, I hope this means a new Daytona game. Or at least a new Crazy Taxi Reboot. I heard that a Virtua Cop and Crazy Taxi movie is in the work. Also, I thought the film was some Product Placement ploy for Hasbro, yet it gives Hasbro a bad image as well. Are Hasbro actually Licencing Ted to make them look bad? Like I said, I really would like to talk about this, has anyone else seen Ted 2 recently? Oh, and sorry if I didn't put Spoiler Alert in the title.
  5. I am really unsure about all the topics I could have put this under but I hope I got it right! Anyway, here is a little something I drew by following a template that I found. Here is the template if anyone wanted to try it out!
  6. I thought the movie was pretty good for what it is. It's definitely worth seeing. Unfortunately I think a fan of the show proper is going to get more out of it though. All of us here already know who the characters are and what Equestria actually is. The first 20 minutes of the movie isn't enough for someone new to MLP to really meet/connect to the mane 6 and Spike. Also, all you really see of "Equestria" is some of Canterlot, some of the castle, the bottom of the castle waterfall stream, and some of the badlands along the southern border. I really don't know what could have been done better to fix this issue for the newbies either. An hour and a half is basically all the writers had available to work with, BUT ABOUT 85 HOURS of happenings and history already exist with the show. I'm glad the movie got made and expanded the world beyond Equestria, but I don't really see it grabbing new fans more than the show would. It's hard to explain, but it's kind of weird to think of the movie as a stand alone thing. Its weird- personally thinking of what I would probably think of the movie if I had never watched MLP beforehand. Thinkception! Think about it! What brings this up is how I even found MLP. In 2013 I somehow knew nothing of the G4 reboot- I found it looking up Tara Strong's project history. I watched the first 2 episodes on YouTube. I thought they were OK but wasn't interested enough to watch more. It was YouTube's related suggested videos that caused me to watch more because they stayed MLP related for two weeks and it was aggravating me. Finally, out of annoyance, I clicked on one showing Vinyl Scratch because she looked weird and I wondered what the hell she was, and well- here I am. So, do you think the movie is going to get new people interested in checking out the show and possibly joining the fandom? Do you think it ultimately was worth Hasbro's investment? Or on the flipside- do you think it could possibly disinterest new people from further checking out more of MLP?
  7. Is it really so hard for some of you people, to enjoy a show for colorful ponies, without throwing a hissy fit and scream "RUINED FOREVER"? Can't you be more respectful towards the writers, without throwing them all under the bus and spitting on the work they put into it, which YOU have never took part in? No? Well, maybe i expect too much of this fandom then. Today was another one of those moments where i have to ask myself "Is it really too much to ask to have a civil discussion?" Apparently it is, because Spike is not in the upcoming episodes and this is apparently worse then the holocaust. Some advice: grow a hecking spine, you're not 4 years old.
  8. Why did this pop up in my recommended? Has anyone posted this before? (Most likely, it's pretty old. Meh.) Should I be worried that it'll get stuck in my head and I'll get caught humming it? All of these are very great questions. Watch it at 0.5 speed for the extra painful experience***
  9. My reply and take on the Alicorn Discussion that The Brony Notion talked about not once, but 3 times. Comments are Welcomed
  10. I harbor a ridiculous amount of admiration towards the show for creating such strong female characters, unmatched even by the likes of Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor in the most serious and well-written of adult fiction, in my opinion. That and the show has the most upbeat, optimistic and hopeful tone I think I've ever come across before
  11. So this is something I struggle with quite often; exposing friends and family to the show in hopes that they will like it and want to continue watching it with me. Whenever I approach them about it they are hesitant and I almost have to "convince" them to give it a shot. I use quotations around convince because I'm using that term loosely, because honestly who needs to be convinced to watch something? But as we all know when we want to show someone ponies, with the hopes that they will like it, we know there's a barrier in their minds to overcome. To accept that they'll be watching the children's show that GASP! they might actually enjoy! I've only have successfully gotten one person to like ponies, enough to have a conversation and watch new episodes with, and that is my fiancè. (Praise Celestia it was him because that makes it so much fun!) But for example I tried to have my IRL BFF watch the first couple of episodes and I just feel like it wasn't given a unbiased shot. I have also accepted the thought that not everyone will like or connect with the characters, storyline, etc. And that is fine with me. But when I feel like the person is closed minded and watching it just for my sake, they're really missing out and they make a misinformed decision. So I ask, how do you go about exposing friends or family members to MLP, that you'd like to share the magic of friendship with? How many friends have you "converted" to become bronies or someone that is at least interested in MLP enough?
  12. Introduction and prologue: Hello, my name is Silens Solis. I've heard that it is popular for Ponies to host "Ask A Pony" sections on this site and have decided to join in on this fun train. I am hoping by answering your questions, I will bring publicity to my Village, to my home and to my family and if I can do that, I might finally be able to convince the Powers that be to put more funding into Healthcare and Education. Something, that has been lacking as of late. As the population of the town grows, the harder it becomes to sustain without more funding. But, due to the newness of this village being only a couple years old. Investors are afraid to invest in further infrastructure. Hopefully, by answering your questions and bringing attention to my Village. I might finally be able to convince someone to invest a little into my home. But I am rumbling, let's open the flood gate and let all those lovely questions through! Other Important information: You can find out more about Silens Solis at his OC page linked below.
  13. Have you had any interactions with bronies or pegasisters in real life that were particularly crazy? If so you can tell me either the long version or the short version ha ha I may say A few on this forum myself
  14. Do you watch MLP with any of your family members, like parents, siblings, cousins, or maybe even your friends, or relationship partners? What do they think of the show, and what are their points of view on it? I watch MLP with my mom, and even though she's not in the fandom cause she doesn't follow anything, she doesn't read fanfics, she doesn't listen to music, or look at the art. She just watches the show, and enjoys it! She doesn't make a big deal over it, but she gets pissed when I watch an episode without her! XD She has some opinions of the show that are common with mine, and some that are different! Fluttershy is her favorite! She also really likes Rainbow and AJ! She doesn't like Pinkie cause she's too hyper. She has mixed feelings with Twilight, and she's okay with Starlight. She doesn't like Discord. She likes all the CMCs, and she likes Scootaloo best mainly cause she pities her and thinks she's an orphan cause her parents never showed up on the show. She likes Spike as well! She doesn't like Rarity though cause she's a drama-queen, and she doesn't like how she treats Spike, much like my opinion of Rarity. I DO like Rarity! I think she's a good character, and her drama queen moments are funny! But I agree that I don't like how Rarity uses Spike's crush on her to get him to do stuff she wants, which is pretty much why I want the crush to end. My mom does although like Flurry Heart, and the entire Apple family, and all of the princesses! She likes Celestia best because she's colorful! How about anybody you know? What are their opinions of the show?
  15. "Equestria Girls" is a series of cartoon movies involving the winged unicorn Twilight Sparkle crossing into another universe to get her crown back from a thief. In the other universe, all the people are cartoonish humanoids whose skin, hair, and eyes have unusual colours. Apparently they were produced as a way to compete against Mattel's Monster High dolls. I sometimes wonder what kinds of things would be appealing to draw new fans to enjoy those movies. Would it be: them resembling (and being other forms of) the characters of the original pony show? their bizarre and beautiful colours? their personalities and actions?
  16. there is a lot of stuff we want happen in that show about horses and we all have our reasons we think it should. A lot are ridiculous but others you can fairly say is reasonable and some can even backed up by the show for its reasoning. But even with all that , you still don't truely see it happening in the show. Here are some of my unlikely likely things I see in the show. : #1.Rainbowdash gets so pissed at Fluttershy she swears and calls her names. Its easy to think Rainbowdash would but I can't see Rainbow's character being that verbally aggressive. I might have expected that from an early Rainbowdash, but these days, I don't expect her to say "for pony sake Fluttershy, do have to be such a scaredy-cat!" #2.Fluttershy punching Pinkiepie (or at least some kind of tusle) I not sure if I'm the only one who noticed this but there is some real tension between those two. No, really. watch any scene with those two interacting. More times than not there's some form of conflict. these two have conflicting personalities -- not contracting, not parallel -- these two personalities do not mix (like a hippy and gun enthusiast /hunter). I'm not saying they don't get along, they obviously do.Their both nice and are very friendly, its just their way of life often conflict and Pinkie to provoke. The first and only time Fluttershy ever confronted Pinkiepie was in "Putting your hoof down". TBBBAP ,reviewers, made a great point about how Fluttershy words were her own and no one told her to say that. Which means that's how she really felt about Pinkiepie. It would be nice to see these two get in a heated argument, but I doubt it will happen. #3. blood Or at least proof of its existence in the show (or are they truely made of marshmallow). I'm not asking for spewing guts or anything just a scare , a cut , wound of any kind , something more to han a bandage and a few scuff marks. just a small dip would be enough. I don't want any pony to get hurt I just would like to at least mention it. I know its far fetched to ever expect blood or any serous injury in a children show at all, but come on. But to be fair there really is no need for blood to ever be in My Little Pony , so my argument kinda ends right there. so what are some of your unlikely likely things you thought up for MLP?
  17. Hello, my name is Jack and I am a journalism student at Dalhousie University. I am doing an assignment that focuses on learning about the passions or obsessions of others and writing a short feature story about them. The story will only be seen by my professor and I would really appreciate if anyone could answer some of the following questions: How long have you been a brony? Why did you first start watching MLP? What drew you to the brony community? How do you participate and or contribute to the community? Who is your favourite pony? Thank you for your cooperation!!
  18. It's finally done! The 4th installment of everyone's favorite Bronies React ripoff with nothing but MLP Forums members! This time we had more participants, 10 not including myself to be exact, and everyone did a fantastic job! Thank you to all that participated, whether you're a veteran of the series or just joined for the first time! News on the next MLPF Reacts will come out shortly. If you're interested in participating next time, send me a DM and I'll jot you down for when the time comes! Oh, also, we have a Discord server going for all those who were involved, but if you're keen on joining in next time, drop into the server and get to know us! We don't bite! --><-- Anyways, enough chit chat, grab your favorite plushie and a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy! Critique is always welcomed!
  19. If so, do you care? Does it bother you to know that brony cringe compilations on Youtube are a thing? Are you bothered by the fact that the average person would think you are weird, and write you off in their mind if you showed them how much you were interested in the fandom and the tv show? Do you see their dissaproval as immaturity and ignorance, or do you think they have valid reasoning behind their judgement? Even though liking a kids show doesn't hurt anyone, or affect them negatively, why do you think it still makes the general public uncomfortable? Do you think fandoms in general are deserving of recognition or respect?
  20. Hey, everyone! I have decided to do another episode of MLP Forums React, which if you are unfamiliar, is a YouTube series similar to Bronies React by ACRacebest where those who choose to participate show their face and "react" to a particular MLP episode/movie/fan-made video/etc. Except this series involves you guys! You don't have to be "horse famous" to participate in this series (though it would be pretty sweet if you were ). I have already put together a few episodes of MLPF Reacts, which I will provide links to down below if you'd like to get a taste of what being an MLPF Reactor is like. For this episode we will be reacting to the Season 6 Finale, which should be out fairly soon. I'd love to get at least 8 or 9 people to participate (including myself) but if we go over that number, I won't turn anyone down either! All you have to do is have a good sense of humor and camera presence. Speaking of cameras... try not to use any webcams or any other cameras that lack in video and/or audio quality. Not saying I'll turn you away if you use a camera with the video quality of a radish, but keep in mind: better recording quality = better video overall! Also, I'm looking for people who are comfortable behind the camera. Your voice needs to be loud enough for everyone to hear, and you need to have a fairly good sense of humor. If you've ever seen an episode of "Bronies React" by ACRacebest or "Brownies React" by JakeWhyman, you'll know the kind of humor I'm looking for. The previous MLP Forums Reacts episodes were meh in terms of humor (including my own performances), so I'd like for this one to be quite the step up in terms of comedy. Don't be afraid to include some of those memes of the dank variety as the kids say! Another important thing to know if you're new to the reaction scene, most of the time peoples' "reactions" are scripted, or well thought out and written down ahead of time and just performed on camera. Not only does this make your content generally funnier, but it also saves me the time of going through 40+ minutes of footage for every person and only using a few parts. If your footage is simply a compilation of all of your scripted "reactions", it saves me tons of editing time, which is already very limited for me since I'm a sophomore in college studying engineering, and work piles up like crazy. IMPORTANT: This time around I'd like to start a group conversation with anyone who would like to be involved. If you're familiar with the "GroupMe" app for smartphones, this could be a way for all of us to communicate and come up with some pretty great ideas for content between the group. If you have any other ideas of how we can all chat with each other easily, let me know by replying to this thread or throwing me a PM. Communication during the previous few react videos has been lacking, which is probably why I wasn't too happy with the final product. Let's do something epic this time around! That's about it in terms of things you need to know/be aware of if you're interested in participating! Oh, also, when you finish recording your reactions, please upload them to YouTube and make the privacy setting unlisted and PM me the link so I can download it. Of course, no one can start recording until the episode releases . Until then, I hope lots of you decide to join in on this super fun project! -ff Oh and here's those links to the previous videos! Grab some popcorn and enjoy!
  21. Which one of the mane 6 are you like? I got Fluttershy. Which is convenient cuz we have the same initials. I also have a bit of AJ it seems. Then PP and TS, and finally RD and Rarity. Full description for FS: Chronically weak and timid, but with a heart of solid gold, you tend to require and depend on the help of your friends in most situations. You enjoy their company, but also enjoy solitude and time away from your friends where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. Just because you know you're weak doesn't mean it holds you back, because you know you're strong where it counts, with your overabundance of kindness, caring, and compassion. You're often worried about saying or doing the wrong things and also fear rejection. Speaking of fear, you've got a lot of it, often times letting your fear hold you back from doing even the most simple of things, such as jumping across a cliff. But in that fear, you can often find just enough bravery to stand up for doing the right thing if your friends need you. You may be naive and innocent, and you're very shy and quiet, but you're also a very good listener and are likely the one your friends blab on about their problems to — and while you may feel powerless to help at times, just listening and cheering them on means the world to them. Yay!
  22. A borderline brony is something that I would relate to the most, someone who likes the show but doesn't go as to far as to expressing my love for the show in public. I might bring the show up in a chat but that's if I find a way to make a conversation by bringing the show into it. I'm not really that interested into walking up to people and forcing my opinion down their throats. It's pretty much the same principle for seeing show merch in public, I might bat an eye or glance at it for a split second but that's it for me, I have no intent of buying merchandise or interacting with anything MLP. There are a lot of Brony cringe compilations on youtube which is the complete opposite of me, the bronies in those videos are more expressive which make them more of a target of ridicule, they might be more of a dedicated brony but i'm pretty sure most of them don't really care if they receive hate or not. Being completely honest, If you're going out in some suit with pegasus wings and a horn attached to your body and expect people not to notice or laugh you're quite delusional, either take the heat or don't do it at all. Conventions act like a safe space for people interested in the show, but I wouldn't say I would be interested into going to one. Like I stated, I have no interest in merchandise. If I did go to one it would be very boring for me, I would only be interested in meeting the guests. I wouldn't engage in a brony group chat, I hate talking to 5 people at once, I prefer to talk to 1 person instead of gangs. To summarize what a borderline brony is for me is it's a type of brony who loves the show and everything to it but avoids expressing their love for the show in public, not to be confused with a closet brony. I did state that I would talk about the show in public, just not express is as some fans would do.
  23. There are some people who complain over how "girly" MLP:FiM seems to their tastes, from fears over Twily's royal status, a colouring book, and EqG.
  24. After a pretty halfassed attempt as seeing if this was already a tread I found nothing and decided to proceed. According to.. Idk, internet sorces and common knowlage apparently the MLP fandoms gender is Is 86% male. And while both gender groups ages are over the originally intended target audience age, the target audience gender is wwwaaaayyy off XP As a girl is this strange or uncomfortable in any way? intimidating? don't care? I'd like to know your thoughts and personal opinions
  25. I don't know why Bronies like Plushies. I don't see the appeal for a stuffed toy. Why are they popular in the fandom.
