  1. Hey, everypony. Just got a quick question to ask, where can I find a Wonderbolts Sweater or T-Shirt. There was one, if I recall in the Brony Documentary that was basically the "uniform" of the Wonderbolts. Im thinking about getting it, but don't know where?
  2. So I finally got the two t-shirts I ordered a while ago. It is two horror movie t-shirts, on the left you see Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and on the right, a print of the official cover from Halloween (1978). Jokuc is happy today.
  3. Okay so this is cool. In my Desktop Publishing class, we were asked to make a T Shirt design and I decided to do one with the MLP Forums logo so here it is. So what do you guys think?
  4. That moment when the day rests in your panicky hooves. It's times like these that separate the stallions from the colts.
  5. Okay, so living in England is pretty weird. I guess the whole of England is anti-brony territory, because I can never find any mlp FiM clothing in female small size. Anyone got any ideas where to shop, or where to look online? I've found a cool Tee online.. I dont know what you think of it, but i'll need a response soon! I dont want it to look like i'm a brony to other people ~ but only the bronys will notice it. You knowwww, not really 'pony related' unlike this one: I mean, this ones not too bed :3 What do you think? Thanks! I need more clothes anyway.
  6. Ever seen someone with MLP merch outside of the toy isle or hot topic? Whether it's a fellow Brony you never expected or just a kid with the toys, post it here! For example, a few days ago I was bagging groceries and see a dad/ grandad with his little girl in the cart seat, probably 2 or 3 years old, and she had the color-in Rainbow Dash and Princess Luna figurines, both covered in tons of little stickers. It was so cute. How bout you?
  7. ONCE AGAIN, humans and ponies are interacting each other for long time, one day, you enter your room and found your favorite pony wearing your t-shirt or socks or whatever you like the most and she/he says I love your clothes so much!(by any reason you feel its reasonable) 1 what is your reaction when you see her/him 2 what is your reaction when she/he says how much she/he loves your clothes 3 In case she/he feels so embarrased and want to leave, what do you tell her/him (oh! and by the way, the clothes fit perfectly because your pony have the same size)
  8. Just a thought, because I saw artwork of the ponies wearing the outfits their human counterparts wear in Equestria Girls and it looked pretty. So, do you like the ponies with clothes on or do you prefer them disrobed? (NOT suggesting anything dirty, just wondering.) The artwork is here, BTW. (not by me)
  9. Hello again everypony! ^^ So, I've been dying to get MLP clothes (mainly t-shirts), but I've no idea where to look for. Do you buy MLP clothes on a phisical store? Or online, maybe? I'm mainly looking for phisical stores, and the bad thing is that I'm from Spain, and the market is kinds much smaller here. Sorry if I messed some sentence up, I'm still learning English! Thanks!
  10. I hope we all know the nudists, the people who think that clothes aren't needed for daily life. So, is there some kind of pony group that says that clothes are mandatory for daily life? You know, since 99% of them don't wear clothes anyway... That would be kind of interesting, and it is still a family-friendly topic, since pony "parts" aren't in the show anyway.
  11. My school is having a unicorn-themed prom next month, and I decided to go to it dressed as Lyra. I picked out a wig, ears, and a horn, but I'm not sure what kind of clothes I should wear. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
  12. Do you think Rarity is best pony? If so then maybe you'll wanna keep reading because I'm gonna talk about FASHION! Now previously I used to scoff at "High Fashion" and the people who were into it. But as with most haters this was primarily because I just did not see the appeal of staring at outfits I would never be able to afford. But then a friend showed me what it is really about and even taught me to sew.. lol. Since then i have changed my opinion I think fashion is very cool now. Its been something I've been into for the past few years now. Before then I could care less about what I wear. And to be honest I still don't really but I do have a keen eye for piecing outfits together. The reason for this was because financially i am not able to sit and pick through new clothes to buy all the time i wasn't raised this way. We went to the thrift shop and found clothes that fit.. not looked pretty. Once I realized how much the designers actually try to innovate it began to capture me and it got more interesting. "The Devil Wears Prada" is now like one of my favorite movies I just have to keep watching it over and over again. So if you were like me and you didn't like Fashion or you just wanna know a lil more just keep on readin'! The Categories of Fashion Firstly, to understand ... Fashion trends you have to understand the different categories of Fashion. Every design isn't judged the same its not a matter of "oh this looks pretty and that doesn't." There are several different layers of Fashion and each one is effected by the one above it. It all starts with Haute Couture designs. These are mostly known to people like you and me as the outfits that runway models wear up and down the catwalks at the best fashion shows across the world. From Paris to London, Milan, New York even Tokyo. These designs are known as "made to measure" I'll explain why. The word Couture usually refers to the designs that are shown on the catwalks made by the designers and the trends change each season. The materials that go in to making these designs are of the HIGHEST possible quality and only a master seamstress can make them . They are made to fit one person specifically and custom made to order. The attention to detail really is amazing here. They measure everything about you even the way you like to stand and sit down. This means that the outfit always feels the same and fits the same standing or sitting. The very interesting thing about Haute Couture is that Fashion designers actually lose a lot of money making these designs because NOONE buys them. They can cost around $60,000 and even rich people aren't paying that much for one outfit. So much so that most designers now don't even bother making Haute Couture fashion lines anymore only the real big names still do. Because of this the designers are "Selective" about who they let wear there new designs. This is why the arrival at award's ceremonies like the Academy Awards is so important to the designers. They give their outfits to movie stars to show to the public and its a non fashion venture that gets them attention. These are the only bit of "practical" Haute Couture designs. The next layer is called "Ready-to-Wear" Fashion. These are clothes designed to mimic the look of Haute Couture designs and are again made from higher quality materials. They are designed by a big name company and a Fashion House together to provide people with fashionable clothes that can be worn everyday. Because even if you bought a $60,000 dress you probably wouldn't wear it often. . These designs are featured at the higher end stores you see and the prices usually reflect. But that's the price of fashion. The practice of doing this began at the end of WWII im told, The world needed to look beautiful again. The last layer is Mass Produced Fashion. This basically refers to everything that you don't find at a high end retailer. These are clothes that you and I (normal people) wear everyday. The people that design them aren't as focused on how it makes you look or feel just about the profits made off of them. Recently however the designers of mass market fashion have themselves put in small touches into their designs which are again those that were inspired buy Haute Couture fashion. There is a very interesting scene in The Devil Wears Prada. The main character is witnessing a "run through" of all of the clothes to be modeled in a fashion magazine. She scoffs because she does not believe that any of the things the people in the room are worrying about affect her. She is then given a detailed history about the color of her sweater she bought in a discount store and that the color didn't appear in stores until a fashion designer started using that color. In my opinion this section of fashion is getting more important because Fashion Houses know that they need money and they can make more if they can cater to everyone. To further understand Fashion you have to follow your favorite designers! Rarity, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Hermes, Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Coco Chanel, Christian Dior. Recognize any of these names? They are all (or were) fashion designers. The designers are the ones that are pioneering the new trends trying to create new ones and sometimes bringing back old ones. Not all of their designs are successful and this is the reason why fashion critics have such an "important" job because they spend A LOT of money designing these styles and if they have to many failures they will not be able to maintain their reputation or customer base. Usually the more established fashion designers found their Fashion "House". This is where they make their new designs, model them and sometimes they even bring on more "Junior" designers to help them design. Where they base their fashion house is important. It reflects one "who" they are trying to design for. Some styles may not be well received elsewhere, it also reflects the type of fashion they are doing. This is why its important to know your "Fashion Capitals". Ever by a new perfume or cologne and wonder why on the bottom it says "New York, London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo" ? These are some of the main fashion capitals. There are emerging markets but those are the more established ones. Beijing/Hong Kong has become a fashion capital but China is plagued with so many knockoffs most fashion houses don't bother to venture into China. If you really get into it the best way to stay on top of the latest trends is to read the famous fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle. The magazine follows the designers and their latest styles. They usually have no other option but to follow around celebrities because these are the people who get the Ready to Wear Fashion first. Remember, when Fancypants said of Rarity's dress "Everymare in Canterlot will be wanting one". We never got to see it but it was defiantly true because the magazines and celebrities have a huge following the opinions of important fashion critics matters a great deal. If you ever get into it and wanna even sketch your own design be sure to learn about COLOR. Color defines the "mood" of the design. I recall a scene where Rarity said "This shade of brown should only be used as an accent" which to us may sound silly but in the world of fashion means everything. A bad color choice can ruin the entire design and after the critics have seen it you cant just change the color because then you will be accused of being lazy and reusing the design is now out of the question. You must design a whole new outfit. Again.. yet another reason the critics have such an important job. It could ruin a designers career instantly. The last major things about fashion are the Seasons and Accessories. The styles of clothing in most places changes with the seasons because the climate does. As a result this opens the door to a whole new bit of Winter and Fall Fashion. Most designers pay more attention to their Summer and Spring lines. Some can't do Winter or Fall fashion primarily because their fashion house is in an area that's the same all year round. Accessories are extremely important because they change even more often than the trends themselves....... yea i know that sounds crazy but its true. And the type of accessories being shown in recent Haute Couture is more than just a Necklace, Handbag, Scarf, Ring.. Its become its own sub category of fashion. Some designers only design accessories. Louis Vuitton for example made things with leather starting out. They made travel trunks of the highest quality and only important rich people could afford them. Now they make hand bags and purses and a few things in between. So yea. There ya have it. If you didn't know why people were so crazy about fashion. Perhaps you know why, and if ya didn't care... you LEARNED SOMETHING TODAY. (proud of you!) Here's a video for you to watch now. You earned it. Its the song that played during Fluttlershy's time as a model. I think you'll like it.
  13. ~Chaotic Discord~ is trying to start a movement of avatars showing pony navels, so I decided to create my own counter-movement because of reasons. All you have to do is change your avatar to your favorite pony in clothes of some kind (preferably something fancy like mine), and then you can be in the group. Request for a special title in the group if you want. 14. As you might be able to tell from my avatar , one of my favorite background ponies is Royal Ribbon. And she's got 3 cute items on which is why I like her design. So these questions popped in my head , do you prefer ponies with clothing or without? Does it add to Rarity when she has a scarf on or Applejack has her hat on? Do background ponies stand out more when they have clothing on? No clothes? Or clothes? Clothes=higher class? Since it seems canterlot ponies tend to have clothes.
  15. Hello everypony! I just joined the forums yesterday and I was told that this would be a good place to introduce myself and the things I am working on. Currently my biggest project is a kickstarter to raise funds to make pony plushies and clothing using silk screen methods. It was featured on the bottom of a nightly round up on EQD, but they cut out the pictures and video so not many people noticed it. First the pmv trailer to my project: And the actual project here: I talked with someone from Hasboro (No not anyone from the show, but a legal person) and they said that it was considered a fanwork and I got the go ahead. So if you have any tips, suggestions, or comments I would love to hear them.
  16. do you think that I was about to say why you girls dress as sluts right? well no... this is not the case, not at all... I have a classmate at my university, who is constantly covering her boobs with her jacket, sometimes this annoys me, because it cut off my concentration when we are talking. She usually wears soft fabric pants (from work) and blouses with mild cleveage and an unzipped jacket (fuk logic), I admit that I've stared every now and then but I doubt that she caught me at any time. Anyways, I bet that she do that because she feels like someone is staring at her boobs, I can tell by the ninja glaring she throws that lasts for a couple of millisecons just to get back to the conversation (yes, I am THAT observer)... I mean if you don't want to be seen cover yourself woman! but for good! this is just an example of what I am talking about. why do girls get mad at people who stare at their ... "things" if they keep dressing with provocative (not slutty) clothes. For example, if you (girl) are at bar with a bunch of drunk guys, why on earth would you go with a minimal top and a mini skirt (to put some example) if you would always try to cover everything up and just screw the night of your friends with your bad mood because everyone is staring at you. if she thinks that all the guys that are "staring" at her boobs are embarassing and pathetic, I'd say that she is more embarassing, for dressing up like that in the first place, and then for implicitly craving for attention, because probably that guy would be staring at the girl next to her, which was hoter XD I mean, I don't understand this logic. PD: if you girl, feel identified with this thread it's just a mere coincidence
  17. A friend and I frequently go to a classy cafe down in Durham, North Carolina. Once a month was our custom, but we've both gotten quite busy as of late and have had to repeatedly cancel our plans. We live in central Virginia so it's quite a haul to go there, but we make the journey because Virginia doesn't have nice things. It's a small cafe with no dress code, though the clientele are always decent, respectable people wearing befitting clothing, and there's always a jazz band playing. He reminded me that my birthday is next week (I would have forgotten had he not mentioned it) and we're determined to make the trip on Saturday, the 15th. My normal attire is a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Nothing fancy but perfectly acceptable there. Seeing as this is a "special occasion," I decided to dress respectably this time. So my question to all of you is: which of the following do you prefer? How often to you "dress up" for fancy events? Do you ever over dress just for the fun of it? Personally, I find such clothing to be constricting and unpleasant and avoid dressing like that if at all possible. I've seen plenty of T-shirts and ordinary clothing around here, so post some of your more fancy attire if you wish, with or without you in them.
  18. I looked through the forums and I didn't find a thread like this, so please let me know if there's already a thread for sewing. Alright, so I love to sew and have been for about 5 years. I make a variety of things, like dresses, skirt, pants, plushies, and home decor. I also have done some cosplays and helped my friends with theirs. Does anyone else sew? I'd love to see what you all have made! Here's a little of what I've done:
  19. My, isn't that a rather large sweater, Fluttershy? DeviantART Link It's more like a snuggie, but aren't snuggies just backwards robes? Elongated, backwards robes? I think we may need a new topic for this. This took 3 hours in Paint Tool Sai, and I'm more than pleased with it. I may add her irides later, but I'm content for now.
