    Gaming Pokemon Go

Yeah I realize I’m super later to the party, but I finally got a phone with enough ram to let me download the app, and.....I don’t think I like it. I started it at night. So it’s not safe to go out and walk anywhere to find Pokémon right now, and I’m really an introvert who hates social interaction. So raids and stuff that become available as I level up, apparently, aren’t going to be my cup of tea, let alone befriending anyone.... I don’t see the hype in this. Kinda already regretting downloading it, actually..... Clearly this is geared toward extreme extroverts. Thoughts from any introverts, perhaps?

    Gaming Google Stadia.

Google is making a new gaming service. https://techcrunch.com/2019/03/19/googles-stadia-game-streaming-platform-kills-huge-downloads/ Will you get one?
  3. Has anyone seen that shocked Pikachu meme that's been going around, lately? Well, apparently, a starter in the Pokemon Sword & Shield trailer looks strangely familiar....... has anyone noticed? https://twitter.c om/NyghtmareMuffyn/status/1102780704369270784 Any thoughts on this, or what memes might result due to it?

    Gaming The "BotW" Fallacy

Why do people pretend that this: Looks "much better" than this: Both look like mid-gen Ps3 releases at best. Yet nearly every Switch owner I have conversed with seems to drool at the mouth over BotW while dismissing Sw/Sh as subpar or "disappointing". Open world Pokemon would be nice, but I'm referring mainly to the visual complexity on display here. Why are these people so enamored by BotW's graphical presentation? Is it all some big inside joke I am unaware of?
  6. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendos-reggie-fils-aime-retires-and-games-indus/1100-6465134/ Yes, oddly enough, he'll be retiring despite Nintendo's recent renaissance with the Nintendo Switch. He was a man good at his job though, so I do bid him a kind farewell.
  7. It has now begun, fellow trainers. The official trailer for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield has been revealed. I'm so happy to see that Gen 8 has finally been announced. The Galar Region looks pretty interesting with beautiful scenery and cities. The graphics look absolutely breathtaking when seeing said graphics on the Switch. I don't know what the region is based off of, but I'm looking forward to visiting the Galar region. Along with that, we've been given some new starters to choose from. Each one looks really cute and interesting to have as a starter. The direct didn't specify how many Pokemon will be included in Generation 8, but I hope we'll get a decent amount. I remember seeing some Pokemon from past generations in the trailer. So, hopefully we'll have a great balance of old and new Pokemon when playing Sword and Shield. What are you overall thoughts of the trailer and game in general? Which starter are you going to take along with you on your journey? Are you hyped and wish to have the game right now!? Also, do you think there will be mega evolutions, Z-Moves and potentially any new types introduced? Please share your thoughts, discussion and theories. Speaking of the trailer, here's the trailer and please enjoy.
  8. I think it's time to pay some respects to an industry that's barely still alive. We really shouldn't have to travel all the way to Chicago and visit Galloping Ghost just to play some arcade games. Let's say you get the funding necessary to start your own arcade, and fill it up with some badass retro titles and other games that are currently being produced only for Japan, or one of several Dave & Busters in the US that are too few and far between. As per the norm, choose coin-op titles only. While there are many games you enjoy on the current market, the idea here is to make money. My picks: Platformers- Metal Slug 1-6 Robocop Magic Sword Elevator Action Returns Shinobi Shadow Dancer Rampage Rampage: World Tour Rampage 2018 Beat em ups- Final Fight Knights of the Round Armored Warriors The Punisher Alien vs. Predator Cadillacs and Dinoaurs Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara Die Hard: Arcade X-Men (6-player version) TMNT: Turtles in Time Double Dragon 1 and 2 Sengoku 3 Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Fighting games- Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting Super Street Fighter II Turbo Street Fighter Alpha 2 Street Fighter Alpha 3 Street Fighter III: New Generation Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Ultra Street Fighter IV Street Fighter V: Type Arcade Street Fighter EX2 Plus Darkstalkers Night Warriors Vampire Savior Power Stone Spawn: In the Demon's Hand Heavy Metal: Geomatrix Red Earth Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Cyberbots Tech Romancer X-Men: Children of the Atom Marvel Super Heroes Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2 King of Fighters '98 King of Fighters 2002 Virtua Fighter 2 Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Virtual On Tekken Tag 1 Mortal Kombat 2 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Mace: The Dark Ages Shooters- Time Crisis 1 - 3 Virtua Cop 1 - 3 House of the Dead 1 & 2 Brave Firefighters Silent Scope 1 - 3 Aliens: Extermination Aliens: Armageddon Alien: Covenant Terminator: Salvation Racing games- Crusin' USA Cruisin' World Cruisin' Blast Daytona USA 1 and 2 Batman 2013 H2 Overdrive All four Mario Kart GP games Pinball machines- Any game based on a movie license from Stern Pinball

Gaming Tired of Zombie apocalypse games?

I'm a fan of zombies as much as the next guy, but zombie apocalypses aren't the only theme for post-apocalyptic video games. I discovered three post-apocalyptic video games called Fade to Silence, Desolate, and Remnant From the Ashes, which don't really deal with a zombie apocalypse, but monsters invading. Anyone want more video games where monsters invade the Earth, cause I find that much more new and creative.

Gaming Anypony here a fan of FNaF?

It feels like the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise has been around for a long time now, but it'll be 5 years old this August. For the past 4½ years, there's been 7 games, a lot of fan art, a lot of fan games, tons of merch, and seemingly endless theories. Makes you wonder which fandom has more fan-made content, the FNaF or MLP fandom. So, does anypony out there like FNaF? If so, which of the 7 games and many characters are your faves. Me, IDK which game(s) are my fave, really. For the characters, my faves are Nightmare, Ennard, Springtrap, Bonnie, Toy Bonnie, Nightmare Bonnie, and Funtime Foxy/Mangle. Are they the same character or different? IDK! Also, do you have any of the books? I have all of them, but one's missing somewhere. And I have all of the games, except for FNaF World. Did anyony like that one? Exotic butters!
  11. Even video games we enjoy can frustrate us. Whether it's something small, or something that makes us despise it with a burning passion. It does't matter how much we enjoy the game, we can love and hate it. For me it would Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. I have ragequit this game any times, due to its obnoxious difficulty and flawed life system. Despite this, I still enjoy it thanks to the charm and the ideas it brought to the table. If I solely hated it, I probably would have never revisited it.

Anyone going to be playing Anthem at release tonight? I'm playing on Xbox One and my GT is CheesyGNacho if anyone will be looking for a wingman
  13. Found this while looking for things to satisfy my dogfighting needs while I wait to be able to play AC7. 3 flyable planes, 3 demo missions so far, and I gotta say, this looks damn good for how early it is in it's crowdfunding lifespan. Graphics are nice, sound design is really good, and the flight physics are some of the best I've seen (keeping in mind this is arcade style, not a full simulation like, say, DCS.) One of my favorite touches is how they actually have missiles drop away from your plane before igniting their engines, I've seen very few arcade style flight sims remember to have that incorporated. On that note, what have some of your favorite arcade style flight sims been? Modern or WWII based, doesn't matter. I'm personally fond of the HAWX games, while they're a bit less realistic even for an arcade game, I liked the ability they included to swap into a flight mode that lets your plane essentially Tokyo Drift for some sick acrobatics. Like I said, not the most realistic of things, but felt and looked cool as hell

  15. (Includes MLP games) Who is your favorite video game character? Please list both the character and game. If you have 2 and you can't choose just one, list both! I'll start: Monika (duh) from Doki Doki Literature Club. Your turn peoplez! Have fun! - KawaiiYandere
  16. *Disclaimer: This thread is meant to be about the singleplayer mode, not Red Dead Online. So Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for a bit now, and most of us have had a chance to complete at least one playthrough (or at least get a decent ways into the game). Now, don't get me wrong, it's a damn good game, and gorgeous as hell, but it's not this level of good: This would imply there's literally nothing wrong or worthy of critiquing in the game, which is objectively just not true. So my question is, as the title says: what, in your opinion, is the biggest thing worth critiquing, the biggest drawback, the biggest annoyance you have with RDR2? Personally, I think mine would be the bounty/wanted system. While yes, the story does try and steer you towards an honorable playthrough (or at least ending), you are, at the end of the day, an outlaw-a criminal. And they appropriately included robbery mechanics-why include them if they're not meant to be used? But the way the wanted system works, from response time of the law, to the law's omniscience, to the convoluted and ill-explained (both in game and by the devs themselves) mechanic to remain anonymous, to the poor AI when it comes to receiving a bounty for self defense or NPC stupidity (seriously, get those horses some turn signals ), this entire portion of the game just seems poorly implemented at best, flat out broken at worst. Especially when it comes to non-story train robberies. There's simply no way whatsoever to get in and get out before the law arrives, and they spawn whether a witness actually gets away or not, and spawn within seconds of you taking out the engineer. This is one of the most lucrative activities in terms of time-efficiency and payout (unless you google gold bar locations and hunt them down, but that feels like cheating); but with how it's working it's pointless because you get a bounty worth as much or more than the loot you snag from the train. Kind of takes the 'outlaw' out of actually being...well, an outlaw. And what's sad is Rockstar is likely not going to implement a fix for this, because it would require a drastic overhaul of a base/core system from the ground up. I'd say that's something that would/should detract from a perfect 100 review score, hm? I also agree with a lot of the points made in this vid-the good and the bad-and I'd be curious to hear people's thoughts on this as well (also linking this vid because I like sharing teh lulz ):
  17. EA: "Don't like it, don't buy it! " Everyone else: "...Okay! " Yup, Battlefield V flopping has really done a number on the company, proving that making an enemy out of the customer is the worst thing you can do as a business.

Gaming I miss the legit Paper Mario

Paper Mario is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable and loved Mario spin-off. Sadly, it has lost it’s way in recent years, with half-baked games that haven’t been received too well while at first it captivated with a more strategic JRPG gameplay and story of greater standard out of Mario games. I’ll leave some interesting videos on the matter

    Gaming Metroid Prime 4 Delayed

Hello everypony! Nintendo fans have been waiting since E3 2017 for news about Metroid Prime 4 when it was announced by Nintendo, and we finally got something out of it. It's being delayed because they are going to completely restart the development from scratch. I don't blame Nintendo for this. When Metroid Other M came out, I was severely disappointed in the game. It wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. And then the fans hated Federation Force to no end, which I don't blame them for that. I think this could be interpreted as Nintendo acknowledging the fact that the fans don't want another average title like Other M. They certainly do appear to be serious about Prime 4, so I think the delay is for the best.
  20. What are your thoughts on the hit game fortnite? Personally myself I do not play it anymore although I have skins. Now I kinda just think its getting boring as it gets more and more popular.

    Gaming Ragnarok Online

Hello everypony, I've recently started playing an old MMORPG called Ragnarok Online. Does anypony know or have played this game? I used to play this game more than a decade ago and decided to play it again after seeing an ad. It's been an enjoyable experience, but I imagine it would be more fun if I can play it with other Bronies. If you see this post and are interested in the game, please reply or message me The server I play is on called Ragnarok RE:START Odin.

    Gaming Warthunder

Does anybody else play Warthunder? It's not a very popular game where I live and I really want to get to know more peeps who play it cuz I feel like I can be doing a lot better and be making a whole lot more progress if I squad up. My highest air BR is 9.0 (British) and highest tank BR is 4.0 (Russian), but I'm down to play any game mode/ BR. In fact, I go Russian reserves arcade pretty often when I've accumulated a long enough lose streak because let's face it, Russian biplanes are op as heck lol. Anyways, my username in game is "Condensation" if you get the chance to add me online.

    Gaming Overlooked games of 2018

Any games you really liked this year that you don't feel got the love and attention it deserved? Valkyria Chronicles 4 is one of my top games of the year, unlike VC2/3 which felt like bite sized versions of VC1, VC4 was the first game to feel like a bonafied sequel. Unfortunately it sorta bombed when it came out, and it's more upsetting considering how well the first game did, even the rerelease of the first game on Switch outsold it :/
