  1. Remember in season six? People were complaining about too much Rarity and too much Rainbow Dash. Well, the main problem might not be too much of them. The main problem might be - putting their episodes so close together. in the first half of season six, we got The Gift of Maud Pie in the beginning, and then we got constant episodes with Rarity playing a leading role in Saddle Row, AJ's Day Off, Spice Up Your Life, and Cart Before the Ponies. Too much Rarity in one place. After Rarity had her role in PPOV, at least I didn't think she was a problem anymore. This was the same thing about Stranger Than Fan Fiction, Cart Before the Ponies, and 28 Pranks Later together. Three episodes in a row where Rainbow Dash had the leading role. Then after two Spike episodes, Rainbow had a leading role AGAIN in Buckball Season, and of course there was Top Bolt later on. Plus, the lack of appearances with the rest of the main cast for a majority of episodes in a row doesn't really help out either. Like people say, there's no such thing as too many Rarity or Rainbow Dash appearances. But there is too less of the other main cast, and they need to shine too, and having certain members of the Mane Six having too many episodes so close together doesn't really help either. What do you think of this? Should the Mane Six have more episodes in a row together, or should they be separated so more of them to go around throughout the season instead of all cramped together in one part and less of them later?
  2. So as you are aware, we have this Target special called "The Toycracker," which is now on its Youtube Channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXUFoLzckwo Apparently, Pinkie Pie and Rarity(in Toy form) make a minor appearance. But it sounds like Andrea Libman and Tabitha St. Germain were voicing them both for the special. Is this true? And if so, who voices the other characters(Kelly Sheridan as Barbie maybe?)
  3. a little doodle of the main six! happy hearths warming!
  4. I know I complain about this alot, and after all, Spike's crush on Rarity isn't used very often anymore. You think he's finally going to get tired of her ever? I know alot of you really want them together, but this is show about friendship, not a show about relationships. This isn't EG! I mean alot of other people say that this is just a child-crush and that they'll never be together. Some of the staff say so too. Soooo... how about the next best thing? Have Spike move on? He's older and wiser now, and I think he knows she's not interested, and pretty much only uses his crush to get him to do stuff for her, which I don't like. This crush was cute at first in seasons 1-4, but after Castle Sweet Castle, I think it's time to end it. Don't get me wrong, I'd like them to be friends still! But Spike's too good for her anyway, and Rarity is only interested in the fanciest, wealthiest ponies, and even though Spike is wealthy since he lives with a princess, it's still not enough it seems. On the other hand, if DHX decides to actually have them together, then by all means do it! I just don't wanna see this one-sided crush anymore. I'm sure we can all agree there! Now bring on the butthurt comments! >
  5. I noticed this while re-watching Sister Hooves social - they haven't actually appeared again since dropping Sweetie Bell off so they could go on vacation. Yet forever more after that Sweetie is living with Rarity every time we see her in a home setting, and the parents never show up again. Have they been on vacation all this time? Did they run away and abandon their children? (I know Sweetie Bell is a handful and Rarity is high maintenance but that's so rude O: ) Or...are they in such a state that they would be unable to come back (ala the main theory of where AJ's parents have been this whole series).
  6. I just wanted to say that was a character-making moment for her. We know she's willing to endure great physical and emotional stress for the sake of balancing friendship with fashion (Art of the Dress and Green Isn't Your Color). But at the Gala we also saw that her dignity matters more to her than her social status, in her refusal to put up with Prince Blueblood and--my favorite moment--shattering her glass slipper just in case. I respect her more now than I did before. Did you guys feel the same way?
  7. http://www.msn.com/en-ca/health/pregnancyparenting/a-mom-gave-her-six-year-old-unicorn-hair-and-people-are-freaking-out/ar-BBwuZvl?ocid=spartandhp what do you think of this hair cut does it look like rarity .
  8. Hello everypony. Earlier I was working on a fanfic where an OC villain used all of the Mane 6's fears against them, when it occured to me that I had no idea what the villain could do to Rarity. So...what exactly IS Rarity's worst fear? For example-- All of the Mane 6 (but especially Twilight) would be afraid of losing each other. Twilight's "good student with OCD" mindset makes her deathly afraid of failure. Rainbow Dash, with her huge ego, I would guess is very afraid of being embarassed, especially in front of the Wonderbolts. Fluttershy is afraid of (besides everything) probably something similar to Rainbow, where she is embarassed and EVERYPONY is watching. Pinkie and Applejack I'm not too sure about, but I think Applejack would fear for her family's safety and Pinkie is legit not afraid of anything. What would Rarity be afraid of?? I mean something that's a deeper, more complex fear than like, "getting dirty" or something.
  9. RariLight shipping picture I had in my mind for a long time. Twilight and Rarity are my favorite ponies in the show, so my OTP is RariLight. Original size picture can be found on my DeviantArt: Twilight-and-Rarity-Snuggling ------ Black-and-white Line-Art of the picture: http://sta.sh/0aj2513q0kj ------ I drew the original sketch two years ago. Here it is: http://sta.sh/013v38ur4lky But I didn't have enough skill to quickly make a decent picture based on it. (I'm not a professional artist, and I rarely draw anything, so the whole process takes a lot more time than experienced artists would need.) So, I was working on it gradually, perfecting the picture, until I felt I could upload and share it with everyone.
  10. Rarity in her footed pajamas brushing her hair for bedtime. http://spellboundcanvas.deviantart.com/art/Evening-Grooming-639815439
  11. Again I have finished a new review today, and now it is the Rashomon episode from My little Pony. Enjoy my work On second look PPOV (pony point of view)
  12. So, here's a question: If they were to do a "balance" patch of sorts and flesh out their abilities or give them secondary abilities to kind of compliment or flesh out the extent of their special abilities, what secondary uses for their powers or extra abilities would you give them?
  13. Inspired by the comment Pinike Pie made about costumes from Equestria Girls Legend of Everfree. Rainbow Dash is Kid Flash (DC) I was originally going to do The Flash but I wanted to show off the hair. I want to see a Dashpoint paradox movie where RD goes back in time to save her mother then finds out that the EQ world, the MLP world and the power-ponies world were meant to be all one world and then combines them to make one world Pinkie Pie is Gambit (Marvel) This was the first power shown in the movie that made me think about how they matched other heroes. Twilight Sparkle is Psylocke (Marvel) This was another easy match up but hard to draw the wings ended up closer to midnight sparkle. Sunset Shimmer is Spock (star trek) Lots of characters can read minds few do it by touch. Spock was the only logical choice. However if Spock mind meld with Pinkie it would break his Volcan mind. Applejack is She Hulk (Marvel) Now I get into characters I am not familiar with, this is due to the odd powers for these next two. Flutershy is Jane Boolittle (Monster High) I had to do some research for this one because talking to animals is a rare power and most of the characters that have it don't have a costume. Eventually I settled on Jane Boolittle as her wiki description sounds similar to Fluttershy. I originally thought of Doctor Dolittle or Eliza Thornberry. Rarity is Tecna (Winx Club) I had to dig deep to find a character who generates shields and may have miss understood Tecna's power. Head Cannon I think that the "gems" from Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree are shards from the elements of harmony from the time they were broken by Nighmare Moon and that sunset's gem comes from the portal its self which is why the mind read effect and the portal/book effect look similar. This way Starlight is creating portals into the minds of the people she touches
  14. So... ...how was the trip??? Alright, good morning everypony and welcome back to another edition of "Batbrony Reviews"! This week we've got a pretty standard episode, quality-wise at least, with a pretty unique approach to its execution. "P.P.O.V. (Pony Point Of View)" is actually a send-up to Akira Kurosawa's film "Rashomon" (a film I've never seen but read enough up on to know that this is definitely a send up to it), and in that regard it's a pretty clever episode. That said, it's not exactly mindblowing, but it didn't commit any unforgivable errors either, so it was a decent episode all around. Without further ado, let's begin, this is "P.P.O.V. (Pony Point Of View)". Oh sweet, it's the return of the Rarity drama-couch AND Rarity's drama-ice cream, ALL IN ONE EPISODE!!! So the basic idea of this episode, same as with "Rashomon," is that we receive multiple points of view from the main characters, each one of them self-serving and putting themselves in the best light, and obviously not showing the whole picture either/retelling events that happened in a completely accurate light. The idea is that eventually all the different retellings will be cleared up and tied together, and what really happened will come through. Overall the episode does this quite well, although I will admit that, given that they have three different POVs to get through, the episode doesn't have much time to dwell on anything else besides the main events. Don't get me wrong, overall the pacing is fine, but it still felt at times like they were trying very hard to fit a lot into one episode, and I almost would have preferred if they'd limited it to two points of view. But all in all this story device worked, especially since it wasn't a terribly serious episode. Hmmm... not sure if "to sandwich" or "not to sandwich"... hmmmmmmmm... The funnest part of the episode, obviously, was seeing what all the different points of view were, as well as Twilight figuring out what really happened at the end. Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie's distorted recollections were quite entertaining (though it was bizarre in Pinkie's to see herself thinking of herself as the "normal" one of the bunch) and had some very funny references as well (Applejack in Rarity's POV was DEFINITELY a reference to Quint from "Jaws" and I'm pretty sure that Rarity's dress in Applejack's POV was a direct reference to Rose Dewitt-Bukater's dress in her introduction scene in "Titanic"). It was also lots of fun trying to figure out as a viewer what really did happen (there were definitely some things the characters told which seemed like they probably did happen, like Applejack accidentally knocking the cucumber sandwiches into the ocean), and what definitely didn't. That said, besides some of the pacing, the one other issue with this episode was the believability of the conflict. The episode itself tried to confront this by admitting at the end that "even long-time friends can have problems," but that's not the issue. The issue is that this conflict apparently, if this episode is to be believed, almost ENDED Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie's friendship! Now, I know that long-time friendships can deteriorate. However, I have a hard time believing that this particular conflict could have done such a thing! It was just a bad boat trip, nothing more, so yeah, the conflict felt a tad forced. Their reconciliation at the end was nice and all, seeing them all realizing that they all had just wanted to help their friends try something new together, but still, I found myself hard-pressed to buy that this could have actually ended their friendships this far into the show. "Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him." "Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu to you ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so never more shall we see you again." "Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was." Still, despite pacing and conflict issues, this was an enjoyable enough of an episode. Like I said, it was very entertaining, and the resolution at the end was very nice. It was fun getting to see Twilight exercising her intellect in order to help resolve things (and I don't just mean looking into some books for research, I mean she had to have Spike take notes and then review said notes, and THEN work out how all three POVs fit together), and that sea creature that showed up at the end was ADORABLE!!! The episode was certainly colorful, and it was cool getting to see most of the episode primarily set on the ocean (surprisingly, sea/ocean environments are quite rare to see in this show). Hopefully we'll get the chance to see such a setting even more later on in the show, either this season or, more likely, next season (if the show is renewed for a new season, of course). Overall, this was a good episode. It was not perfect, but it was perfectly likable and didn't have anything really horrible about it, plus it was cool how many movie references and send-ups it made in so many different ways. That's all I've got for ya'll this week everypony, until next time this is Batbrony signing off. I'm off!!! *cue dramatic exit* D'awwwwwwwww, who's a cute sea monster? YOU ARE! YES, YOU ARE!!!
  15. This I'm really hoping for! Turns out Dragon Spike still crushes on pony Rarity, and he kinda crushed on EG Rarity, but I'm actually really hoping Dog Spike would be different. Luckily there are no hints of dog Spike crushing on Rarity, which is good, at least in my opinion! It would show more of how different this Spike is from the other Spike. Now, spoiler to the new EG: it would seem that Sci-Twi doesn't crush on Flash Sentry like pony Twilight does. So this gives some thought! Maybe dog Spike doesn't crush on Rarity either! Good, I'm hoping it stays that way. What would be really cool if dog Spike actually crushed on Fluttershy! Yunno how she is around animals, and maybe that'll make him like her! Cathy Weseluck said she preferred Spike having a crush on Fluttershy instead of Rarity, so maybe her dream can come true on EG! Don't worry, Sparity fans! Spike still likes Rarity in Equestria! It's just the EG universe might be different, which I'm hoping for. What do you think?
  16. So, I took a free time for myself and decided to draw your fancy marshmallowwhite pony, Rarity. It's my first time drawing her, so it may have stuff off. yh, first time and it looks like i've already draw her before
  17. I bought one of the Funrise brand Rarity plush toys with shoestring hair a week ago and today the paint/vinyl had scraped off the eyes, leaving them blank white. I bought a Funrise Vinyl Scratch three years ago and still have it and so far none of the paint has scrapped off the glasses. Anyone else have any issues?
  18. We are happy to announce that part two of our Doctor Whooves audio drama is now up. The Return of Sister Of Mine (Bloody Misaki) - The villian has been reveilded and it is up to the Doctor to not only save all the ponies who were a victim of Sister Of Mine's attack but to save his companion as well. Will the Doctor make the ultimate sacrafice to accomplish both? We welcome your comments. Enjoy!
  19. I love Renaissance Faires and since I moved this passed year didn't get to go to any of the ones back in my home state. But in a couple weeks there is a fall one up in the mountains, small but looks well done and I am super excited to go ♥ I am also helping a friend put together a costume which is how this doodle came around. Ponies probably have themed faires for fun I imagine, Rarity meets Larimar and uses his natural wings as an idea for a costume cloak. Been awhile since I did a full scene so I want to finish this, this week ^^
  20. I know, I know there are like a billion topics about this. but i am actually analyzing this and telling you why those two make 2 amazing ponies. (even though I prefer Rarity ) so as for Rarity: she might get all whiny, but it adds a touch of comedy to her. She might be obsessed with fashion but it is what she likes, after all. She really is generous, but only her dramatic behavior covers up that so not many people see that in her. She is smart and creative and she is loving. She has The Best Design and Really is cute and when it comes to friends, she wouldn't mind getting her hooves dirty even though she is a dirt hater. She also actually has some sense of proper presentation, and has a good heart. And one more thing........ DIAMONDS!!!!!!!  Rainbow Dash: yes, the pony who is full of herself. That only builds up her character and she cares for her friends. For what her friends do, she is unique and tom boyish, and she preferred tank because he was loyal in the end and she is cool. I like her color scheme and even though she might be all into sports, the thing amazing is she loves Daring Do books. Her love for flight is Awesome and how she helped Daring Do is just WOW. And if it were not for rainbow, and her love for flight and winning, Equestria would have Been Done with. and plus, sonic rainbooms look amazing this, people is the reason both of them are amazing ponies.
  21. So, here's a question: What's your headcanons about rarity working as Nightmare moon's maid in the S5 finale? What paths in life do you think she took that lead her to being Nightmare moon's personal maid, how do you think her life goes right now, and what do you see her personality and goals in life being like in that timeline? crazy headcanons perfectly okay
  22. We have a YouTube channel called Equine Productions that features the collaborative talents of many individuals to produce a program called Doctor Whooves: The Next Regeneration (DWTNR). The Doctor is a blend of the characteristics of the 9th and the 12th doctors from Doctor Who and his companion is similar to Clara from that series. These two time travelers will have the opportunity to meet up with the mane 6 and others from time to time in this series. We are excited to share with you our latest episode called DWTNR - Bloody Misaki. The following is a brief synopsis of this episode: Desperate for a break from their non-stop adventuring, Clover convinces a reluctant Doctor to take her to the Ponyville Spa. But where the Doctor goes, trouble and adventure are sure to follow - and sometimes, too, old enemies with new faces. Clover's spa day is cut short when she and the Doctor are compelled to investigate a case that has the Star Centuries baffled. But the stakes run to an all-time high when the Doctor's plans to capture the culprit backfire and Clover is taken hostage. The link to this episode is found below: We look forward to your comments. Enjoy!! Sachi Shina and MajiO
