  1. I've just started watching Girls und Panzer, and from my experience in World of Tanks, I had a thought. If the art of Panzerfahren, or Sensha-do as it is alternatively known, did exist in real life, would you do it? Personally, I would in a heartbeat. I absolutely adore the tanks of the Second World War, and it would do me a world of good to be part of the crew operating the vehicle. As for the crew position, I'd be the loader. I've got very fast hands and enough muscle to load shells into the main gun as quickly as possible. The mere thought of it gets me all excited; being inside the vehicle, hearing the engine roar, the tanks trundle along the ground, and of course, the combat itself. So anyway, would you take up Panzerfahren? And if so, which crew position would you take?
  2. Can anypony please draw my Ponysona and her boyfriend in Equestria Girls form? I would greatly appreciate it. The girl pony has gray wings and wears clothing like the girl in the picture i posted below, except that her belt buckle is her cutie mark and her shirt says forbidden. I would like her to be wearing the Wonder Colts ears and tail from the movie. And her eyes are vivid green. Crimson Fame wears the same jacket as below but open, and with a black tshirt underneath with his cutie mark on it. The jacket should have a blue body with yellow sleeves and accents and the Wonder Colts emblem on it.Otherwise Crimsons clothing is dark jeans with a black belt and silver horse shoe belt buckle, and like below his jacket shows his wrists, which his left should be wrapped in a bandage. Also Night Shades skin tone should match the girls in the picture below and Crimsons should match Flash Sentrys human skin tone.
  3. I believe everyone deserves a Sunstache Shimmer! So... Here y'all go! X3 I just decided to do this, cuz I was watching Equestria Girls & I thought of moustaches & how Sunset Shimmer was sinister evil... x3

    Derpy Mystery

a few questions about Derpy being in the movie. if you do respond, please do so with the appropriate number so that it's not as confusing. 1. what is in the letter (in case you can't tell) that she is so happy about? 2. where is Doctor Whooves? i was kinda expecting to see him once i saw her. my hypotheses: 1. i say that it is either a coupon for a discount on muffins or it is a letter that a shy Doctor Whooves sent asking her to the Fall Formal 2. i guess maybe he was out of frame or sick or something. i don't like they "just forgot" him. as a Whoofian, i am saddened by this idea. (whoofian = brony + whovian. i made it. i think.) your thoughts on these?
  5. Searched for everything I used a topic tags. (Good god, I said EQD instead of EQG can i change that or does an Admin have to clean up after me?) I was checking out some movie times on and noticed out of the corner of my eye that towards the end of August Event Cinemas will be screening MLP: Equestria Girls. Just thought I ought to mention it somewhere in case anyone hasn't seen the movie yet and wanted to see it on the big screen. The tickets are only $7 as well so it's a fair bit cheaper than buying a copy. Hopefully this info is useful to some. More info:
  6. I was sitting around wondering who preteen girls could look up to these days. Please help me figure out. Maybe Britanny Spe-oh. Maybe Hannah Mont-Damnit Maybe Amanda Byn-you've got to be kidding me. I give up. Please help me out here.
  7. Before I begin, it’s rather important to note that the subject matter of this entire article contains very large spoilers for Equestria Girls, the theatrical Friendship is Magic movie. So if you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to skip this analysis. Go ahead. I can wait. This whole thing was written up beforehand, so I’ve been waiting since before you even got here. Good? Good. Now I’ll just say it- I liked Equestria Girls. I did. As someone who despised Magical Mystery Cure and thinks Twilicorn is a serious step in the wrong direction, I think the movie whose premise sounds like a bad fanfiction is top-notch. The writing is clever, the plot retains its surprises despite being somewhat predictable, the jokes are funny, the songs are up to snuff, and there’s a surprising amount of world- and character-building for a feature that takes place almost entirely in another dimension. And that’s exactly where I plan to focus. Equestria Girls brings to the table four incredibly important revelations that have the potential to rock the foundations of our favorite equine-themed cartoon from this point forward. Or at least, a couple of them do. But we’ll get to those two in a bit. First let’s explore the two rather minor revelations. Interestingly enough, they both have to do with the Elements of Harmony. In Equestria Girls, Twilight goes into the suspiciously familiar world of humans in order to retrieve her tiara. Without this tiara, which doubles as her Element, Celestia explains that the other five Elements will not function. So not only does the use of the Elements require the necklaces and tiara (or “artifacts,” as I will call them), they won’t work if one of them is missing. Furthermore, the only beings who can wield the Elements are the Mane Six. Not even Celestia and Luna can harness them; it’s all up to the six protagonists. Equestria Girls completely destroyed those two bits of information. Because not only do Twilight and the rest of humanized Mane Six wield the Elements sans artifacts, the Elements are wielded with only one being established as a wielder. (No, I don’t consider the alternate dimension-Mane Six-minus-Twilight to be the same as the Equestrian Mane Six-minus-Twilight. They have different memories, different cultures, and exist in a completely different setting. They are different characters.) But those two won’t really come into play all that often in the future. It’s still going to be the Mane Six wielding the Elements, and the fact that the circumstances behind their use has changed will only matter for a small number of episodes. No, the really important revelations will almost assuredly be relevant to the show as a whole. First of all, Twilight is now confident with being a princess. She feels less trepidation and anxiety than she did prior to the movie, and this is important. The show never treats character building like this lightly- it always comes back into play. Coming to terms with her newfound position was a natural place for the story of Twilight Sparkle to go, and this confidence and calmness will most definitely play into how Twilight acts in the seasons to come. Clearly, this is a factor that I’m ecstatic about. People familiar with my analyses will know that there’s almost nothing I like better in fiction than natural, organic character development. This next revelation, though, is one that I’m still not sure what to think about. And given the history of the show and how it deals (or refuses to deal) with such subjects, I’ll put it as bluntly as possible: Twilight Sparkle has a crush. With the very special exceptions of Rarity and her decidedly shallow desire for a prince simply to complete the royal package, Shining Armor and Cadence because that was their entire point, and Cheerilee because she’s frankly unimportant, Friendship is Magic has refused to touch the subject of crushes and romance with a ten-foot pole, and with good reason. Earlier incarnations of the My Little Pony cartoon fell all too easily into the trap of many girls’ programs, depicting conflicts in the form of crushes as incredibly shallow and insipid as perhaps possible. Now suddenly, all of a sudden, our main character has a crush on somepony. Needless to say, this development must be handled with extreme caution. If the writers handle it even slightly poorly, one of the de facto tenets of the show (“We will not portray girls’ fiction as shallow”) will be thrown utterly out of whack. Because when you get right down to it, there are three primary places this revelation could take us, all but one of which will prove catastrophic to the show. First and foremost, it could be handled well, and prove to be beneficial to the show as a whole. Twilight and her crush, Flash Sentry, could mesh well together, and Flash could transcend his role and prove to be a clever, likable, relatable character that serves only to strengthen the show’s dynamic. On the other hand, it could be handled poorly, and prove to be a detriment to the show. Twilight’s character could become insipid and shallow whenever Flash is present, Flash himself could prove to be as worthless and filler as King Sombra, and the Bronies would collectively groan as the show that had previously withstood the grasp of unbecoming girls’ fiction traps suddenly finds itself up the river without a paddle. And then there is the possibility that the show would not handle the development at all. That is, all mention of the crush dropped, all hints at the crush silenced, and Flash Sentry himself made to be as canon as shipping between Lyra and BonBon. At first, that might not sound so bad. We’re back to the status quo, right? Only this time, we have ourselves a shiny new Twilight, brimming with confidence! But it’s imperative to understand that this approach would thrust the show into another trap, and it would be caught between a rock and a hard place. If you ignore the crush but still maintain Twilight’s new confidence, as if everything in the movie besides the crush itself actually happened in canon, you find yourself with an ending to Equestria Girls that goes absolutely nowhere, a potentially great character that never gets mentioned again, and a chemistry that could have worked that will never see the light of day. To put it simply, that would be terrible story-telling. At best, it would be as if the writers are admitting that they wrote Equestria Girls without thinking ahead well enough to utilize the potential, and at worst it would be as if the writers have no qualms establishing a character before completely forgetting about him. The fact is, Equestria Girls can’t be canon in one aspect but not in another. Either you accept Twilight’s confidence along with her crush, or you reject both of them. Cherrypicking which aspects you choose to become canon is incredibly cheap writing, and I’ll be very disappointed if the writers have decided to go this route for Season Four. Alternatively, the writers could take a similar route and pretend Equestira Girls never happened. That is, never bring up the crush, but also write for Twilight as if she never obtained that confidence boost. Essentially, treat Equestria Girls as strictly non-canon at any cost, which includes those revelations about the Elements I talked about above. Honestly, aside from rolling with the crush with good writing, this is the best option. This way, there is no cheap story-telling, no canon-cherrypicking, and Season Four can start with a clean slate. This would come at the cost of having to re-establish Twilight’s confidence, as well as having to consciously forget the new rules about the Elements, lest they be used in a way that doesn’t fit with established canon. But this doesn’t come without its own shortcomings. I know there are fans of Friendship is Magic that look upon Fluttershy-centric episodes with exasperation, as they believe, perhaps correctly, that Fluttershy is just learning the same lesson in confidence over and over again. To them, this makes those episodes cheap. And if the writers ignore Equestria Girls, this is probably going to be a common reaction when it comes time to make Twilight comfortable with her position again. Sure, the movie wasn’t exactly canon, but it’s a piece of character development that we’ve already seen before. It would be acceptable if not painfully redundant. So what are looking at when it comes to Season Four? Potentially some really good things! But then, also some potentially horrendous things that would really dampen the feel of the show. And I hate to say it, but no matter how good Equestria Girls was, Magical Mystery Cure still left a foul taste in my mouth. I’d hate to see it followed up by more disappointment. But I’ll give the writers more than a fair chance. After all, Magical Mystery Cure is literally the only episode of the show that I dislike overall. And no matter how you slice it, that’s a pretty fine track record.
  8. So I was asking the question. I saw many women (usually teenagers) use their cellphone a lot. It's like they can't stop, even if the teacher and the parents get angry. I know they use it mostly for their friends but Why? (PS I HATE TEXTING AND MY DAD WON'T GIVE ME CELLPHONE EVEN IF I AM AT HIGH SCHOOL. AND I AM A BOY)
  9. So I had an interesting thought. Remember back before Season 2 ended, how everyone was thinking, "Meh, a wedding two-parter. It'll probably be decent, but nothing super-good." and then we were all BLOWN AWAY by how amazing Chrysalis, the changelings, and the songs were? What if DHX is doing this with Equestria Girls? What if the trailer makes it look like a very cliched high school movie on purpose? They could have chosen tons of clips to show us, but it seems like the ones they chose made it look like a typical high school move. They might have had a reason for it - that reason being that it wouldn't get our hopes up too high, and we would come out of the theater absolutely blown away by how good EQG was. I'd love to hear your thoughts/opinions on this ^-^
  10. "EQUESTRIA GIRLS IS GONNA SUCK!" Because you can TOTALLY tell it's going to suck by the trailer.........*sarcasm* "LAUREN FAUST WOULD HAVE NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN!!!" Fun Fact: Lauren Faust originally HATED the idea of doing MLP:FIM, but she saw it as an opportunity rather than the end, who's not to say she wouldn't do this to Equestria Girls? Besides, that's incredibly rude. Half the writers and other creators of the MLP franchise have been with Faust ever since PowerPuff Girls, are you saying THEY'RE inferior to Faust? Wait, I guess you're right, I mean Faust wrote 2 episodes! The Premire and The Ticket Master! One was just okay, and the other was the only flat-out neutral episode in the series. Plus Season One probably had the most problems out of the three. Bottom line: LAUREN FAUST IS NOT MLP! STOP TREATING LIKE HOW SHE'D MAKE THINGS GO IS THE ONLY WAY. SHE'S A TALENTED WRITER, BUT THERE ARE PLENTY MORE IN THE SERIES WHO'VE DONE BETTER THAN FAUST! Ex. Meghan Mcarthy, Amy Keating Rodgers, M.A. Larson. "THEY'RE NOT LISTENING TO THE FANDOM!!!!" Last time they listened to the fandom, everyone wouldn't stop complaining about it. In fact, people are already complaining about Vinyl in the trailer for appearing for less than 2 seconds...........T_T OH NO!!!! SHE APPEARED ON SCREEN!!! PANDERING!!!!!! IT WAS ON FOR ONE TO FIVE FRAMES OF ANIMATION!!!! MLP IS RUINED! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to posting why Hasbro needs to let Derpy back in the long as she isn't in season three......... "THE DESIGNS ARE HORRIBLE AND SEXIST!" 1. I can't really argue with the look of the designs........personal preferance and all. 2. You're making claims that Hasbro is making physical appearance the most important thing in a girl, yet you're whining about the look of the designs.....i.e. JUDGING ON PHYSICAL APPEARANCE YOU HYPOCRITICAL,******************************************************************************************************************************************* *sigh* I'm done..... *passes out*
  11. Looks kindof like a ripoff of Monster High to me. I really hope they make Spike a hunky bad boy and put some really juicy pairings in it. What do you guys think?
  12. I've been wondering this. Does anyone know what the voice actors on Fiendship is Magic think if Equestria Girls? And do they want to be a part of it? This might help us determine whether not it's worth seeing, if the actors are thrilled about it or not.
  13. Do you lady ponies of the forums wear makeup? How often and what? Any tips? I do not believe there were any other makeup topics. I just thought it would be an interesting conversation to discuss. And it also came to mind as I enjoy makeup but I am not very good at it and have events in the near future where I would like to be able to wear nice makeup.
  14. do you think that I was about to say why you girls dress as sluts right? well no... this is not the case, not at all... I have a classmate at my university, who is constantly covering her boobs with her jacket, sometimes this annoys me, because it cut off my concentration when we are talking. She usually wears soft fabric pants (from work) and blouses with mild cleveage and an unzipped jacket (fuk logic), I admit that I've stared every now and then but I doubt that she caught me at any time. Anyways, I bet that she do that because she feels like someone is staring at her boobs, I can tell by the ninja glaring she throws that lasts for a couple of millisecons just to get back to the conversation (yes, I am THAT observer)... I mean if you don't want to be seen cover yourself woman! but for good! this is just an example of what I am talking about. why do girls get mad at people who stare at their ... "things" if they keep dressing with provocative (not slutty) clothes. For example, if you (girl) are at bar with a bunch of drunk guys, why on earth would you go with a minimal top and a mini skirt (to put some example) if you would always try to cover everything up and just screw the night of your friends with your bad mood because everyone is staring at you. if she thinks that all the guys that are "staring" at her boobs are embarassing and pathetic, I'd say that she is more embarassing, for dressing up like that in the first place, and then for implicitly craving for attention, because probably that guy would be staring at the girl next to her, which was hoter XD I mean, I don't understand this logic. PD: if you girl, feel identified with this thread it's just a mere coincidence
  15. Now no I'm not speaking of child abuse or anything like it. I have a situation at high school where the girl I like keeps hitting me, only me for some reason. She doesn't do it hard nor thinks of it seriously. This in itself to me is an oxymoron of how hitting can be good. Hitting is usually bad but I've read muitiple times that hitting ( in high school) that hitting somebody was a way of expressing emotion or something of that sort. And I can see how that is possible. You wouldn't touch somebody you weren't comfortable with right? Nether the less this can't be easily proven for it could be applicable to muitiple situations. I would think in my situation it would be good…maybe… Thoughts?

Just realized something that slightly confused me. Go to 0:14 She said when I was a little filly and the sun was going down. Implying that she is not a filly. Now, go 0:26 She says cause they know we're awesome fillies. Contradiction much?
