I got my Glasses, I got my time when I head up to Salem Oregon locked in, and my buddy who is going with me! I can't wait for this eclipse. I just need to now go see if I can get a solar filter for my camera before it is too late and take a picture of it. Or maybe hold a pair of solar glasses up to my camera lense and see if that is good enough. Probably not.
  2. (DQ stands for "Daily Question" it is a new theme me and SugarfootWillie started recently.) I have the impression that most everything in America is negative and focused on murders and beatings. Why don't we change that around and find a few things to be proud of.
  3. As of yesterday (June 23, 2016), the World-Famous North American Privately-owned zoo in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada (where I live right now), known for the use of its animals in Hollywood films (Life of Pi is one good example), documentaries, etc., has announced that they will shutdown after the 2016 season. I am very saddened by this, it's not even funny. I've only been there once when I was very young. It all started when PETA misleadingly showed the world that the owner was being abusive to one of the tigers late last year, and because of that I hate them for it. They have ruined the reputation of a privately-owned zoo that was highly respected for many efforts. It will shut down 3 YEARS shy of its 100-year Anniversary. Now I have to chase the opportunity to visit it once more this summer before it closes down for good.
  4. and how are you dealing with it? what do you plan to do? personally im just ignoring it and taking this time to hibernate as much as i can lmao. for those of you that don't know, (which, i doubt it,) a massive blizzard just hit the northeast area. a lotta states are declaring it a state of emergency. "-- 31 million people are under a blizzard warning, 31 million are under a winter storm warning and 9 million are under a winter weather advisory." apparently, it's going to continue snowing in some of our areas as well. i guess we can forget about doing anything outside this week. it's kinda like the weather is trying to make up for the lack of snow this winter season, lol.

    A Long and Sleepless Night

Sooo, hello to my blog I guess. I'm gonna put here some news about my art and stuff. Anyways, yesterday was a very tiresome day, I've been drawing all day and thinking about my tutorial. I'm drawing in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, so if you're interested in drawing: check this My voice in the video might not be pleasant, but that will do, there are subtitles too. Recently, I've created a patreon, if you like my art support me on patreon . By the way, commissions are open on deviantart. Okay, boring stuff aside, what's your opinion on PeanutButterCrackerManiac? If you checked my deviantart, you probably noticed that I'm drawing only her.
  6. Been thinking about making something like this for a while now, so I guess I'll give it a shot~ Pretty much, I'll be hoping to update this blog weekly with good news and lovely moments and so on that I've heard about lately, since I feel the world can tend to overlook the bright side of life from time to time. Obviously, this isn't to say that the world is perfect or that anything bad happening should just be casually dismissed, but these bad happenings already get plenty of attention and responses elsewhere, so I'd like this blog to be free of that as much as possible and instead focus on people and moments that aren't so talked about ~Good Happenings~ Or in case you're not one for reading, here's some nice pics/gifs/vids I've seen very lately :3 ~Lovely sights~ And that's about all I can think of for now Depending on how this goes and my motivation for it, I might do another entry like this next week too. For now, you're welcome to comment any news/images/events etc. you know that brightened your mood, I'm trying to be sorta thorough but I'm sure there's a ton that I'm unaware of! C'ya next week, perhaps~
  7. Okay, I just say right off the bat, I didn't follow the Donald Trump inauguration today, because I'am just not super interested in it, I'am also one of the few people who barely checks the news and doesn't read any newspapers. And I feel like that's one of the most embarressing things to admit, people who aren't informed about the news kinda seem to be looked down on. But it just takes up a lot of brain power that I could use for something else and therefore contribute to society, the news are just distracting and mostly contain information that's useless to me. I think that you should in general focus on only a few things and don't scatter your brain power over a lot of different areas, because then you won't acchive anything in any of them, you wouldn't believe how little I know about ceraint areas. Therefor I just think it's stupid to expect everyone to be informed about the news. But what do you think, is it okay to just ignore the news or should everyone know what's going on in the world?
  8. Weird thread I know, but there are SOME out there who like to dive in to the history, graphics and whatnot in newscasts. While I have stopped watching mainstream news, I still have a few news themes I like. Post whichever ones you like, whether it's national, local or reigonal news. I like these, because of the catchiness and whatnot. This Is Your News (KXTV Version) by Gari Music: Right Here, Right Now v.1 by 615 Music: Icon (KTVU Version) by 615 Music:
  9. So with Hurricane Matthew looming on the horizon, now would be a good time to talk about storms. Anyone interested or even fascinated by severe weather? Does it ever get your attention more when it's on the news somewhere? Does seeing how storms form & strengthen pique your curiosity? Do you just like documentaries, shows and movies about natural disasters? How about hypothetical scenarios? Things like what would happen if a hurricane hit New York City or if a tornado ran though Washington DC? If those are things that interest you, than feel free to share them here. Also please do share any crazy weather happening in your area.

My cousin suggested that I post this poll somewhere for fun, so here it is.
  11. I'm glad my fellow British brothers and sisters have left the EU. But I would like to know what are your thoughts, I know there is a couple british bronies on this website. No heated arguements please.
  12. ESPN report: Muhammad Ali is widely considered to be the greatest boxer of all-time. But what made him so great is not only did he brag about his greatness. He proved it both in and out of the ring. When he was drafted into the Vietnam War, he refused to participate, citing his Islamic beliefs. His courage against the Vietnam War nearly cost him his career, but the Supreme Court overturned his felony conviction with an 8-0 ruling. (Thurgood Marshall didn't participate for taking part in an earlier ruling.) He became the symbol of both boxing and the anti-war counterculture during the 1960s and 70s. Ali helped paved way to introducing a wave of black athletes into sports, where this wave is seen today in sports like football and basketball. When he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, he became an activists to spread word of the disease. His signature moment while battling it was in 1996 when he lit the torch to open the summer Olympics in Atlanta. Ali can be paired down into his rhyme: He proved to be the Greatest. And he'll forever be the Greatest. RIP, Ali.
  13. So Britain will be holding a referendum tomorrow on whether to stay in the European Union or not. The polls in Britain have been neck and neck so I really can't call anything. Honestly I'm quite exhilarated but get the feeling I'm going to be disappointed in the end. Personally I believe Britain should leave; I may or may not discuss my reasons but generally I view a decentralization of power as a good thing. So what do you guys think? Would Britain be better off as an independent state? Do most people even care, lol?
  14. Hey all, So, some of you may or may not have seen the series "Pony Meets World" (PMW). It's a series uploaded to the channel called shmed1. One of the shmed1 members, Joey-O, has recently been diagnosed with cancer. They've uploaded a video about it here: He talks about some things with the delay on the series, and goes into the diagnosis and the multiple hospital visits he's been discharged from. He then explains that his friend put up a gofundme page to help support him, which I'll link here: As of right now, he is 1/3 of the way to his funding goal. I'd suggest that if you can donate anything to him, please do. I've been subscribed to him for a long while, and don't want to see the channel change in any way. Thanks for reading and helping him out -c1701
  15. Hey guys. So if you clicked on this you're probably wondering what this new podcast could be? Well wonder no more! It is at the core going to be dedicated to various topics such as Brony/Pegasister news, talking about new episodes, gaming, tech and world news. Now of course we can't do this on our own and we would love to try and get a new person on every other week. That my dear reader is where you come in. We would like you to post a link in this thread to either a demo reel or previous content you have either worked on or created yourself. If you have any questions that you would like an answer too as soon as possible please PM either myself or Jonny Music. Please note however that Jonny Music may not be able to reply as soon as myself. Jonny Music MLP Forums: YouTube: Th3 Arb1tur MLP Forums: YouTube:
  16. I've no intention of turning this into a debate. The sole intention of this thread is to let you know about a very interesting development. Some may take interest, others won't. If anything at all, I would encourage people to further explore the issue. What your opinion ultimately becomes is really none of my concern. With that out of the way, let's get right down to it. I'll take some snippets from The Telegraph to give a basic idea of what's going on here. This entire conversation ultimately has to do with how banks create money. This process is called Fractional Reserve Banking. If you're unfamiliar with that, well, it's an incredibly tough topic to chew on in one sitting so I'm afraid you'll have to do some digging into that yourself if it interests you to that extent. So, do you believe this to be a good move on the part of the Swiss? This is something other countries are in the consideration phase with so Switzerland isn't alone in this. Should your country give this idea consideration as well? Will this help or harm a nation's economy and/or the standard of living? Just what what is this Vollgeld Initiative all about in the first place? Don't answer these questions for me, answer them for yourself. Good day.
  17. The United States Treasury has announced that Harriet Tubman will be the new face of the 20 dollar bill (1, 2). Some sources say that Andrew Jackson (who is currently on the bill) will be on the back of the 20 dollar bill -- while others say he will be relocated to the 10 dollar bill. Time will tell which is true, as the official designs will be unveiled by 2020 and in people's hands by 2030. This is what it may look like: So, what are all of your thoughts on this news? (Please refrain from spinning this topic into a debate.)
  18. Today, another great star of 80s music has left this earth. Prince died today with 57 year of age, supposedly through a flu that he got a week ago and has lied in a hospital since then. Prince became famous in the 80s, where he became famous for songs like Kiss, Sexy MF and Purple Rain, where he got an oscar for. RIP Prince, i hope you will laugh forever in the purple rain.
  19. i haven't watched mlp in a year because i forgot what episode i was on so i would watch it but i have no idea so should i start season 5 again or should i try to guess what episode i'm on please help me
  20. A man in North Carolina was arrested during a pull over to tell him his brake lights were out. Upon running his name they discovered he had a warrant out for an overdue rental from over 14 years ago. This honestly is a bunch of crap and honestly sounds like debt prisons, which have been outlawed in the US for centuries. This kind of crap was made illegal back during the revolution because farmers were told to produce more crops for the war effort but when the war ended they were left with crop they could not sell and then thrown in jail for debts where they could not pay them. The idea of throwing people in jail over debt that is not due to a law violation (i.e. a fine you are obligated to pay) is stupid simply because people can't pay from prison. This is definitely a really crappy thing, oh and the movie in question? Freddy Got Fingered.
  21. Link above shows some of the damage caused by the bombs.
  22. This just in: Very sad to hear, but I must say the truth even if it hurts. It was downright irresponsible for Trey to go out at night on a dirt bike. Dirt bikes have no lights at all, plus the fact that he was wearing dark clothes, not even light clothes. He was only 23 years old and it was only his second season...he will be missed. RIP Trey Walker
  23. Hi bronies and pegasisters, Sorry it's been a long time since I posted anything on this forum website. So...being a tech geek I came upon this new technology Microsoft is launching called Microsoft Hololens. This new dismension of technology will allow people to transform the way they see the world, and be able to design new engineering projects in real-time 3D; get instant feedback, messages, reminders, notifications, and video calls wherever they may be; and also play games (such as Minecraft) in a whole new way and perspective. As such, I once thought; what if we bronies could use our creative skills to develop an application for Microsoft Hololens that would allow us to explore Equestria as if we were actually there? We've already proven our superb animation skills of characters and environments through the makes of Children of The Night, Lullaby for a Princess, and numerous Team Fortess 2 SFM mods. With such an application, a user could walk on a treadmill or simply walk in space, and have the walls of Princess Celestia's castle around them. Or they could be prancing down the roads of Ponyville and see all the houses and stores. Perhaps the most amazing possibility is for the characters to be able to be next to us, and have them greet us in our own language. No more Photoshop or Hitfilm PIRLs, we can now have the ponies in real life, right there with us and talking and playing. The one con with Hololens is the price. At $3000-$3500, it isn't cheap. But its capabilites are mind-blowing. So what do you say, bronies? Is Microsoft Hololens a worthwhile investment and field of creative opportunity? Watch the video below for Microsoft's promotional ad for Hololens:

  25. According to this, not only will Duck Tales will be in CGI animated, but there's a possibility that two other well beloved disney cartoons in Darkwing Duck and Kim Possible. Personally, while I'm pleased to hear this possible news, however at the same time, I'm worried how they're going to treat these reboots as: 1. Duck Tales: easily a top ten cartoon for me as it was Duck Tales that first jumpstarted the renaissance the cartoons in the 90's had despite being a late 80's show. It was really one of the first cartoons in the 80's to break out of the whole 'use cartoons to advertise toy products and little else' that plagued alot of the cartoons in the 80's by being a quality cartoon. 2. Darkwing Duck: An underrated cartoon that was one of the better spinoffs from Duck Tales. Sibsy loves this cartoon. 3. Kim Possible: Considered one of the few good disney cartoons in 2000's and many considered the best of the bunch till Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls showed up. MLP analyst Ilovekimpossiblealot loves this cartoon. Thus when doing a reboot, it risks making these shows worse than what the originals are and it could damage these lofty opinions that were garnered for their effort and work. Look at Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go as an example of how a reboot can ruin a classic. On the other hand, seeing how serious Disney wants to cash in on the huge success of cartoons this decade is a good thing and I hope it can continue that trend in the 2020's in a good manner.
