  1. as the title says, what do you think?, do we go to heaven, or do we get reincarnated?, or what the buck happens?, i personally believe we get Reincarnated, but i wanna know what you think!
  2. What do you think happens after death? I have read about Near Death Experiences and I happen to believe in heaven. Do you believe human beings have a spirit or soul? If so, what happens to it after death?
  3. The fear of death is the most common fear shared amongst people. It is the epitome of the human condition. No matter your race, sex, social class, favourite sports team, etc. we all die. Despite this, many people, including myself, are afraid of dying. For some of it goes beyond just being afraid and starts to screw with your sanity. For myself, I have always been afraid of death to some degree or another. However, it is only in recent years that it has become a source of great stress for me. Though I am afraid of death in general, I am very afraid of dying young. At this point in time I am 21 years old. I am very young and have so much left that I hope to experience before dying. This is not to say that my fear of death ends with dying young. My feeling is that if I live a relatively long and fulfilled life, then I will be prepared to leave this world. I'm afraid that if I die young, I will potentially miss out on life's great milestones. i think what scares me more than anything is the uncertainty of what happens when we breathe our last breath. Although I grew up as a Protestant Christian, I have since taken a step back from my religious upbringing. I would not go as far to say I'm an Atheist, because I don't object to possibility of a God, I just feel a bit disillusioned by religion. Regardless of which religion it is. I had always found comfort in the idea of a heaven, or any sort of afterlife, but I don't have that sort of comfort anymore. I am a creature of routine and meticulous planning ahead of time. Thus, it is easy to see why uncertainty is so frightening for me. The idea of reaching a point where I cease to be conscious is baffling. Despite the fact that it would be no different than the hundreds of years that passed before I took my first breath. In a way, we were all dead before we were born. I want to hear what the rest of you think about all of this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who struggles with this fear. It would be really nice to hear any input that others may have on how they have dealt with this fear. I welcome your thoughtful discussion. Cheers.
  4. Now this isn't a post so everyone can discuss if the after life is real or not though i imagine people will talk about it anyway. This is just a story... A short story i want to tell everyone that i imagine would give people a lot of confidence about death. The story: My nan not so long ago died from ALS and it's kinda sad to see her gone but before she died... My granddad told her this: "If there is a afterlife then i want you to ring the phone 3 times". about a month later she died and on that very same day... The phone rang 3 times and it wasn't even someone calling, It was the phone saying it was disconnected but it never rang again after that. It makes you think doesn't it?...
  5. The ponies are aware of at least one concept of an afterlife. In Look Before You Sleep, Twilight suggests they tell ghost stories. Rarity doesn't believe, though. "It is a ghost story. They're all made up." Are there any other mentions of ideas concerning any kind of afterlife, whether considered fanciful or plausible by the characters? Here's the clip from Look Before You Sleep
  6. Well this a very hard topic to post as it can be very upsetting, but I am an Atheist so I really have no idea what to expect and it is one of my fears, you know the final unknown, I am wondering what you expect of it so what is your opinion on this subject? I apologize if this gets to anyone in a touchy way.
  7. HELLOOOOO EVERYPONY :D ! Have you smiled today already???? GOOD. Because things are going to get a little bit... Spooookie Wookie over here. Someone call Rainbow Dash! Because this is where we will share those peculiar stories of ours that very few people would dare to believe, stories that are not in any possible way beyond the stallion imagination, but surely are beyond comprehension. Spooky Pinkie Pie Laugh Here. Without further ado, I will share a story, a story my mother claims to be the truth, a story I chose to believe in because it was as well the REASON FOR ME TO BE ALIVE HERE AND TODAY! Note: since this is a real story, I won't refer to myself as a filly in here: If you wanna skip the introduction, the actual story starts down here: All the events can be traced back to a single not so sunny Sunday, back in 1992. At those times, I was only a single year old, far from being capable of understand my surroundings or anything else besides my unstoppable desire of eating and sleeping. I do not actually remember this day, I know it happened because my mother told me: that Sunday, she was alone at home, taking care of me, probably feeding me, since, as she recalls, this whole event took place in our kitchen. My father was traveling due to business of which I have no memory of, and my ever so caring mother was feeding herself with a very simple idea: I will skip school tomorrow (she's a teacher) in order to take care of my son, this way he does not have to be left with my mother. She had already made all of the arrangements for the next Monday when it happened: My mother tells me that, while she was washing some dishes, she felt a hand touch her shoulder. It couldn't be my hand, for I couldn't even reach her knee at the time, much less her shoulder. And it couldn't be anybody else, for we were both alone at a fairly big house, which only helped my mother's ever rising fear. She turned her back and her eyes met a bald man she had never seem before, he had a warm smile and a funny pair of glasses, as she recalls. For some reason, she was not afraid of this man she never saw in her life, just startled. Later she confessed she never fully understood how she didn't actually panicked at the moment. The bald man said this exact words to my mother: "Go to school tomorrow" And that was all, he vanished right away, leaving my mother paralyzed and, according to herself, me crying at some point of the kitchen. My mother decided she'd rather obey what the voice said: so she make all the arrangements for me to be left at my grandmother's house while she'd be teaching at school the entire day. Monday came and things went as planned... Until my mother got back home to find out... Yes, exactly, our house had been assaulted during the morning: nothing was left behind: my father's then new computer, microwave stove, actual stove, fridge, clothes, EVERY THING you can imagine was taken away from the house, except what was way to big to be carried, like the piano and the wardrobe. After asking to our neighbor, he said there was a truck in front of our home, and that the man on the truck claimed that my family was moving, which made everyone's suspect's go to zero. And after the horror of seeing years of economies and lots of wedding presents being replaced by nothingness was gone, my mother could only remember of one single event: She was meant to be at the house. With a baby. God knows what would have happened if they were to find us while robbing the house. ________________ This is my supernatural story. YOUR TURN, SUPERPONY!
