  2. Been a while since I posted, forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section. A while ago I put together a video of me reading off some of DJ PON3's lines from Fallout Equestria. When I posted it on the Fallout Equestria Amino, someone asked if it was a mod they could download. Obviously it's not, but what if it was? I'm curious to know, because I have no knowledge of mods or modding in general, is there anybody here who might like to do something like that? Like, make a mod that swaps out the usual DJ lines in between songs in Fallout 4 with DJ PON3 lines? That may be a tall order, I have no idea, but I figured I would ask anyway.   3. A silly little project I doing. This is my first serious effort at a story. it is sure to turn out interesting. I would love to hear comments on it. Currently 2 chapters are out. Even though this is based on Fallout Equestria, this won't be anywhere near as violent as the original. This story will always be T. Break Point is a simple earth pony that wants a simple, easy, and safe, not dangerous in anyway whatsoever, life. Unfortunately, this is shattered when she accidentally causes the death of the son of Cosa Nostra, a powerful and dangerous crime lord that rules her town with an iron hoof. Now she must find a way to survive in the Equestrian Wasteland, a place that tears weak ponies like her to shreds. Little did she know that she would become the powerful and feared figure known as the Black Cat. A crossover between MLP, Fallout Equestria, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.   6. So, we know Fallout 76 is coming this November. Public reaction has been... mixed. But while there is already a thread for users to discuss their thoughts on the game, I figured I would make one for players like me who are excited and eager to play. I already pre-ordered the game, highly anticipating the Break-it Early Test Application. But I don't have any friends to play it with once the game is released! Here you can exchange information with other players regarding the game. Group up, make alliances, organize shops, or even form factions! I will be playing on Xbox One. My Gamertag is GeekySonic. Currently I'm partnered with one other player I met on the Fallout Amino, and we have no immediate affiliations with any group. I plan to focus my character on combat. Purely for defensive reasons, of course.

  8. I made this thread so we can see if there will be a Fallout 5,and what we can expect Bethesda to do with it,and what should be changed,and what should removed/added. I hope that Bethesda does make a Fallout 5 and have it based around New York,Texas,even Russia so we can see the other side of it! Another thing is the weapons. I don’t like how some of the weapons look in F4.(Assault rifle,pipe rifles,etc) And I hope they add they add ACTUAL sniper rifles and real world weapons with advanced weapons as well. He examined his surroundings: Sand, sand and more sand, just as it had been for the past however long he had been out here in this wasteland. The Equestrian Wasteland, to be specific. He didn't really see why it needed a name. Nobody sane ever came out here. Question: If nobody sane ever comes here, then why are you here, genius? He didn't bother to answer his own question. See, this was amazing compared to where he had come from. Stable 184, one of the many Stables created when the war began, before the Nukes were dropped. His Stable wasn't what one would call 'luxurious'. Well, not now, at least. Before it was amazing, better than his cottage nestled between a few trees at the edge of the Everfree. Now, though, it was full of cannibalistic psychos and hostile security guards. He had been able to grab a Service Carbine before his escape, along with another sane Dweller, who quickly vanished after they left the Stable. Unfortunately, not only did he not have more than a single clip for his Carbine but he also had nothing worth shooting at. So instead, he lay on the sand, regretting his life choices. He knew that he wasn't going to make it to any civilization (if there was any) anytime soon, and he didn't think sand had any thirst-quenching abilities, so the only thing he did was lay, grunt, stand up, and move forward about a foot, lay back down again, resting for a minute, and then repeating the cycle. Each pull forwards became more and more difficult as a mist of blackness rimmed his vision, the heat sucking out his consciousness. Finally, he threw in the towel and gave in, landing with a thunk on the sand, clouds of the stuff puffing out from under his Stable 184 jumpsuit. I tried. Then he passed out.

  15. Hello! I, RealityPublishing, am looking for dedicated artists who would be willing to help me complete a fan-game titled, "Fallout: Equestrian Revolutions". The game, in its bare, dulled state, is nearing completion (mechanic and story-wise). The only problem is that we do not have sprite of any kind. I made a post about this earlier and I am please to announce that 88% of the game is complete (minus what's needed for artwork) and is awaiting help. If you are willing to lend a hoof in making this project possible, please message me when you are confident. Details of the task will be labeled below: Fallout: Equestrian Revolutions is an original story based on the ever-popular, Fallout and Fallout: Equestria crossover. Though it features none of the characters in either, it will continue to provide the apocalyptic atmosphere many have loved about the original Interplay Fallout games (link below). The engine we are using requires "sprites" and needs each animation to be separated by a single frame (similar to the ToonBoom Animator or stop-motion animation style). Vector Animation is preferred at this time, but those who are comfortable with SFM (custom models may be needed) or any other style of art is very much appreciated and (depending on abilities) may be used to change the game's face altogether. I'm sure my demanding tone isn't very "ask-worthy" of me, but I sincerely do wish this game to be finalized and played by others.   16. Hello! I am developing a Fallout: Equestria game based on the mechanics of the first, Fallout: Classic. I've already created many of the core actions such as, movement, inspection, collision, inventory, and halfway through saving. (All in one night!) Problem is, we're in desperate need of sprites and graphics to make the game complete. We haven't done any of the story boarding, but I imagine it'd be done rather quickly. The sprites require the respective top-down perspective of the original games. There will be a photo down below, but I'm sure you can find more by google search.   18. So, the video in "Hurricane Fluttershy" was AWESOME, lots of people said it reminded them of Fallout 3, and it certainly had the feel of a 50's cartoon. So, what were videos actually like from that time? I decided to youtube up something, and I found this. It's... Hilarious, in an appalling kind of way. My parents say they remenber being young - and being taught to "duck and cover" under the desks in the event of nuclear attack. Sheesh. Imagine children's cartoons trying to cover such serious things nowadays! (Well, actually, I dunno how much "Bert the Turtle" was considered a kids' thing, since cartoons=childish is a really recent stigma, but anyways...)
  19. Yep. Seems what most of us feared right from the moment Bethesda announced issues with bringing mods to PS4 has come to pass. Bethesda have recently released a statement saying that, as a result of Sony "Not approving user mods the way they should work", that mod support will no longer be coming to either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Remastered for the foreseeable future, at least until they can come to some kind of agreement. At this point though, that doesn't seem likely. If you ask me, Sony have really dropped the ball with this one. I know they're not particularly fond of users installing third party files to their system (just look at the great Linux debacle for the PS3), but could they seriously not find a way to make these simple things work if Microsoft could?   20. I remember when this game was nothing but a legend a folktale to pass around on the internet. When it finally it was hyped up big time and made it look like it was the next big game. Oh how we were wrong, dead wrong. Today I'm going to review Fallout 4 in two categories the good and the bad. The Good +The Character Creator is really, but I mean really good. I like how it’s no longer a menu screen and you can select the part of the face you want to customize. +You can customize the color of the flashlight and the Pip Boy screen +Junk has a point. You can use said junk to build a variety of stuff like buildings and weapons +Weapon customization is amazing, and you redesign and heck you can even name it. Heck I even named a shotgun “Boomstick” +VATS is vastly improved and no longer a “pause screen”. +SPECIAL has a point. By that I mean in 3 and NV it was just there and it didn’t really impact the game that much. It’s also now tied into the perks as well. +The gun-play is fantastic as well. +The Open World is vastly improved on the last two games. The world has radiation storms and weather in general and has different environments fitting to Boston. +The Settlement mechanic is really fun and you build own fort and community. +The Mods are fantastic. If you have a PC please check Nexus mods. The Negative -I heard this enough and I agree: The story sucks. It’s pretty much Fallout 3’s but in inverse and whoever is the head writer for the story should be fired because he is terrible. -The Factions have no point at all and The Minutemen are as annoying as that one friend that pokes you on Facebook. -The game has quite a few loading screens. -The Companion A.I. sucks and is glitchy as all hell. -The Dialogue. Bethesda tried to do the Bioware/ Telltale approach to it and it FAILS big time. The voice acting from mostly everyone feels stilted and flat, and it brakes the immersion that that the main character of this story is supposed to be you. -Some perks are pointless such as one that gives immunity to radioactive water. -DLC sucks and half of them are workshop content. My question is why couldn’t all the workshop DLC be one big DLC? On a similar note, the only DLC worth noting is Far Harbor and Nuka World (Maybe, as it hasn’t come out yet as I type this.) -Here’s one thing I think I hate most about Fallout 4: There is little to no horror. Yeah a post-apocalyptic game with little to no horror, allow that to sink in. When I think Fallout I think of a Lovecraftian theme park. On top that, in previous two game (3 and New Vegas) Vaults were the game’s version of a haunted house and you also felt someone was watching you. Now, Vaults are just futuristic looking bomb shelters and that’s it. Yeah they are experiments done each vault, but none of them are really that creepy. Overall I will honestly say that I did uninstall FaIlout 4 at least three times, but I won’t say Fallout 4 is up there with Sonic 06 or Duke Nukem Forever of being the worst game ever made. I will say however Fallout 4 is good game trying to come out, but is bogged by missing the horror atmosphere that was in all the previous installments, a terrible story, and lot of other things. Do I still recommend this game? In strange way, yes, but now. It’s not worth the $60 or $110(with season pass) price. I would wait until there is a “Game of the Year” edition is out and then wait for that to go on sale. Grade 78/100 C+

So for long while now I've been a great fan of Fallout Equestria and Project Horizons and decided to make me my first fallout power armor suit before getting a pony style version of it made and well here it is nearly all completed with d.i.y. basic dry bearing joints which helps me be able to run etc in the suit and upgrades to legs and arms. I personally wanted Enclave as bad guys always have the cool looking stuff also first Hellfire power armor suit to be made by anyone as i like to have something unique but also do to this it was the hardest as some things had to be invented on the fly.   25. I really don't like Game Theory, or MatPat. Whether he's shamelessly jumping on every bandwagon that rolls under his nose, deliberately misleading viewers with clickbait titles and thumbnails, spewing SJW bullshit to an impressionable audience, nakedly selling lies to please his sponsors, or just wasting people's precious attention spans with verbal diarrhea, he's not exactly a model youtuber. But it's the way he conducts his research that I hate the most. Rather than going in any logical direction, he just spins a wheel and picks one completely at random. While I have neither the time nor the expertise to debunk his videos about physics or medicine, there's an especially low-hanging fruit in his library that should serve as the perfect example. For someone who claims to know Fallout, I've never seen anybody get so much about the series wrong. Only a minute and 30 seconds into this video, he cocks up the most basic premise of series lore by claiming that "World War II never really ended." Of course, since he later identifies the point of divergence (incorrectly) as 1961, this leads me to question whether MatPat knows as much about real history as he does Fallout history. No, World War II ended right on time in the Fallout universe. 1945; Allies won. It's the Cold War that never ended, though the Soviet Union gradually declined and was replaced by Maoist China over the next century. America, meanwhile, grew into a much stronger stereotype of 1950s exceptionalism, and was dragged into war when the world's resources began to dwindle. For a better explanation, here's a good youtube channel. I'm not even going to get into how Mat refers to ghouls as "zombies" to appeal to his 13 year old fanbase, because by then I'd have exhausted my will to write and there's still so much bullshit to comb through. The premise of Mat's video is already stupid, since Pre-War Money is an item that exists in the newer games, and at the time the video was made, it was always valued at 10 caps. The wiki page even points out that the blue strap indicates that each stack is worth exactly $100; so 100 dollars divided by 10 caps means that each cap is worth 10 dollars. Wow, now wasn't that a much easier calculation than whatever MatPat cooked up? Now obviously, since the US government no longer exists in the year 2277, and the dollar is no longer legal tender, that's going to skew the equation a little, but that's still the most direct comparison you can make. So, how does Game Theory try to answer this question? In two incredibly stupid ways, the first of which is considerably stupider. Mat decides that the best barometer for value in this situation would be the price of gold, which would be great, if there was any way to determine the value of gold in the alternate, post-apocalyptic year of 2282. In lieu of that, here's some mental gymnastics. As previously discussed, Mat comes to the dumbfounding conclusion that Fallout's timeline diverged from our own in the year 1961. A conclusion he supports with one release date of one song in one radio station in one game. Once. The exact date of Fallout's divergence is left purposely vague in the lore, but there are several dead giveaways that point to a far earlier date. If you want to go really far back, you could say it diverged in the early 17th century when a samurai was abducted by aliens, but even if you stick to the events following World War II, there's still much more to consider. The most obvious example, and the one most commonly referenced as the reason why technology took such a drastically different turn in the Fallout timeline, is that the transistor was not invented until 2067; 120 years after its historical invention. If it's that easy to find a major divergence as far back as 1947, why did MatPat go through all the trouble just to find a song from 1961? I honestly have no idea, but it speaks volumes about how nonsensical the logic in his videos is. He'll go the longer path to find a less accurate conclusion rather than just sticking to the truth. Anywho, once Mat was sold on 1961, what was his next step? How exactly does the point of divergence help him calculate the price of gold in the alternate year 2282? He assumes, point blank, that the price of gold froze in place at the exact moment of divergence, and remained exactly the same for more than three centuries. Three centuries. Matpat actually believes that the price of gold stayed at exactly the same rate through not only time itself, but also resource crises, wars, societal collapse, nuclear Armageddon, and countless failed attempts to restore a functional society. Even if you buy into the misconception that American culture in Fallout froze in place following divergence (it didn't; some things advanced as normal, such as the civil rights movement), that still has next to no effect on the price of gold. That's dictated more by... y'no... economics. But fuck it, let's expand the misconception. Let's say that after 1961, not only did culture inexplicably freeze in place, but so did the economy, as well as the price of gold. Fine. That still leaves the issue of the atomic fucking holocaust that devastated the world in 2077. I have my doubts that the price of gold would remain comparable after an event like that. And that's how Mat arrives at his first figure of $1.67. It's ridiculous, obviously, but at least there he began in the right place. If there was a way to determine the dollar value of gold in the alternate year 2282, then he would have gotten a much better answer. He screwed the whole thing up royally, but at least he had a foundation. Another solid foundation that he had was much earlier in the video, when he mentioned that caps were backed by water. This is actually true (at least in Fallout 1), but for some reason, Mat just abandoned it and moved on to the gold method. Again, this all goes to show just how random and illogical this whole train of thought was. Why ignore or brush aside perfectly good avenues of inquiry to focus on utter bullshit? Anyway, his second method is much more forward and to the point. He wants to know what the raw materials themselves are worth, and then assumes that to be the price of a bottle cap. Because that's how currency works, right? Obviously not. In the US, for instance, our coins are never worth exactly what we paid to mint them. Pennies, infamously, are actually worth about 2/3rds the cost of the materials needed to mint them. Bottlecaps, should they become currency, would be no different. A currency's value in trade has next to nothing to do with its raw materials. Mat then goes through extra trouble to call the offices of a real life cap manufacturer to get an exact composition. I guess this is meant to impress me, but when he's still using the ridiculous 1961 year as his basis in all this, it still feels awful pathetic. Mat goes through all of this trouble just to come to a number even more ridiculous than his last one: about $0.0000175 per cap, or less than 2 cents for a minigun. Suffice to say, it's not that. And that's basically the end of this stupid video. After that, he goes right to whoring out his sponsor (which is a health food service, for some reason), and finishes with a few vaguely Fallout-related jokes and memes. Not something I can really debunk, but it did make it hard to take the shotgun out of my mouth. I know this is just one video, but this should be indicative of how bad Mat's research is. If he was too lazy or stubborn to actually learn the first thing about Fallout lore before making this video, then I don't even want to think about how many times he's potentially fucked up on more difficult, more sensitive topics. MatPat probably isn't going to read this. I understand that, and I don't care. I'm not the only one talking about how bad his videos are, and I don't expect him to read and respond to some nobody who posted mean things on a brony website. This is meant for the people who still take his crap seriously. Maybe they can look at Game Theory for what it truly is: the Nickelback of YouTube gaming channels.
