  1. Hi, all. What are your thoughts on the Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle mobile game? The basic premise of this game centers around a Dimensional Distortion that's plaguing the Dragon Ball world, and you have to assemble a group of powerful fighters in order to fight and stop the Distortion from spreading. This game allows you to summon Rare, Secret Rare, and Super Secret Rare characters to recruit to your team and train them to become the strongest they can ever be. You can also Awaken, Z-Awaken, or Dokkan Awaken the mightiest characters to fight the toughest foes the game has to offer. You can take on events to further strengthen your characters, as well.
  2. Today I played Phasmophobia with friends and noticed that it's not scary at all despite many reviews saying that this is one of the most scariest horror games of the past years. Then I remembered that as soon as I invite friends to any horror game it stops being scary. Like all atmosphere is gone, you suddenly "open your eyes" and see that this monster actually have weird model and funny animations, a lot of predictable cliche moments, bugs and other things you can laugh about. So have you ever experienced actually scary horror multiplayer game? Do you think it's possible to create one?
  3. For those of you who don't know, especially Steam gives away TONS of titles for free in order for making it more comfortable for people to stay home. I will update here regularly. -> Sale ends 4/2/2020 at 5:00 PM I also posted these before:
  4. Hey guys. Dunno if there's already a thread to it, but here's a thread of which video games do you want to see it as either a cartoon series or even a live action/animated movies. I myself would like to see an Uncharted movie, since the game always involves movie-like actions, even God of War (imagine all the enemies Kratos could kill). And yes, there are various characters I've seen in Wreck-It Ralph.
  5. Now it's the new game from Animal Crossing series has arrived. Perhaps some of you people can discuss what your island is like once it's finished. Go ahead don't be shy. Update 3/21/20: New stuff I discovered in the game that could never be done in earlier games (never play Pocket camp so I might be mistaken) is inside this box. I covered them to prevent people from casually being spoiled Any further new discoveries that I believe are new to New Horizons shall be spoiled covered so that readers who want to discover for themselves Update 7/30/20 Attention, all NEW HORIZONS players. the ability to turn your Island into a dream and visit other people's dream island is now available to those who updated to the lastest version today. Once you receive a letter from Luna, hop into any bed. When you turn your Island into a Dream, you're given a dream address that's different Everytime you upload a new version. You can share your dream address here in this topic like you do with Dodo codes. As a courtesy to people, please use the spoiler button (the eye icon) from the editing tools
  6. This is going to be a rather broad topic. You know something I love doing? Looking back at memories, good ones of course. Gaming in particular has some of my most cherished memories and thinking of them reminds me why I love gaming in the first place. Why I say this is because I was thinking about my video game 'firsts'. That being, things that were new that happened to me for the first time in gaming. Like I said, this is a broad topic. So this can include anything that is a gaming first, like first game overall, first racing game ever played, first arcade game, first game you played online, first time a game made you cry, laugh, throw the controller across the room, if you have a first, you should list it! If you want to of course. Let's share some of our gaming first! ^__^ Here is a random one from me: The first time I experienced a truly awesome physics system in a game: Psi-Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy. This game introduced me to the world of awesome video game physics and how fun it can be. I remember when I first started throwing guys around with my mind in the game, it was so cool and using that in interaction with the environment was so awesome to see. That game has a special place for me just for that. Forza 5 was the first time I ever loved an actual racing sim game. Those are just a couple of examples from me, what about all of you?
  7. My favorite FPS of all time is Doom, Because i loved to Rip and tear through the countless demon spawns. And then getting the BFG 9000 and taking on the cyber demon
  8. Out of every sonic game that was ever made including Sonic 06 :/ What is your favourite sonic game? Or favourite sonic games? for me, My favourite sonic games would have to be: Sonic heroes Sonic Generations
  9. I'm not much of a completionist, but I'm quite curious. What games have you completed 100%? Do you enjoy doing it, or are you content with just completing the core game? I'm typically fine with just beating a game, but I don't mind going for 100% when given the opportunity. Although, I only engage in the endeavour of going for a full completion rate, with games that don't require hundreds to thousands of hours worth of play time.
  10. My most memorable video game music are: Sonic Gems Collection - Games Menu and Luigi's Mansion - Credits
  11. I knew it's been a week since the announcement but I wanted to make a topic where we can discuss the stuff featured in Super Mario 35th anniversary. What upcoming stuff in this video are you looking forward to? Do you have any fond memories of playing these games in the past? What do you think of the new ideas like Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit and the special Super Mario 35 Vs. as I call that one where you play against 34 other players? How about some of the Mario themed merchandise that'll be coming out, or Mario themed items coming to Animal Crossing New Horizons Don't forget to check out Eren's topic on Super Mario 3D World+ coming next year
  12. In this day and age in gaming, what are your gaming consoles of choice & what games do you play the most? Do you like the classics like the NES to Sega Genesis or Mega Drive or the modern games on the PS4 or Xbox One.
  13. For me, it's Cyberpunk 2077. The game has just gone gold as of yesterday and we're only just over six weeks away from release!
  14. AI in games have changed throughout the years, whether they be allies or enemies, however there are many horror stories people have had with dealing the worst AI in games. The worst I've ever dealt with was in Final Fantasy Tactics(PS1 version), with the final battle of Chapter 3(after the already ball-crushingly difficult Velius fight), the one with Rafa and Elmdor. It's a 3 on 4, however Rafa is dumber than your average politician, and after taking a hit from Elmdor, she make one of 2 moves, either move right next to you, or she'll be a dumbass and head straight into one of Elmdor's assassins and attack head on, which will happen 99% of the time. Now unless you catch this before hand and save before entering the castle, or you pray to every possible deity out there she either makes the other move, miss BOTH assassin's attacks, or Elmdor confuses her with the Muramasa, this battle is always guaranteed lost, and if you saved before the fight then your screwed What are some of the worst AI in games that you've had to deal with?
  15. So, what is everyponies favorite classic games? As in the older consoles/handhelds such as, NES, SNES, N64 PS1, PS2, gameboy etc. I'll start. My most favorite classic game series was Final Fantasy. I enjoyed playing through them. Especially FFVI. Which is cool that they ported it to steam not to long ago. So I have gotten it again. Out of handhelds, I really enjoyed playing Pokemon back in the day on Gameboy Color. Favroite was Crystal. ^^ So, whats your favorite classic games?
  16. I just did some research just now to see how much my games were worth! I used NES - Mega Man 5 NO BOX Genesis - Moonwalker NO BOX SNES - either Kirby Super Star NO BOX or Super Mario World NO BOX (depends on rarity scale) N64 - either Dr. Mario 64 NO BOX or Super Smash Bros. NO BOX (depends on rarity scale) If that's the case then let me revise: NES - Pac-Man GREY CART Genesis - Pinocchio (Seriously, Moonwalker is less rare than this! WHY? It should be Moonwalker!) SNES - Bubsy 2 (rarest I got, poor me) N64 - Superman (how can this be slightly more rarer than all the other games I've got?) (BTW game sucks)
  17. There are many games that I wish would never end but alas, they have ended and they've been over for a while now. I wracked my brain for the past hour for good games I miss playing. Here are a few of them: There are so many more games I miss. The ones above are the games I miss the most at this moment. What about you all?
  18. Tell everyone about your computer (or computers, if you use more than one)! What model is it and what OS does it run? Myself, I work from two laptops: an HP Pavilion dv6-3170ca for school, and an HP EliteBook 8740w for home (mostly) - both run Windows 7 x64. Here's the smaller one: Specs: Intel i5 2.2 GHz Dual Core w/ Hyper-Threading (up to 2.8 GHz w/ TurboBoost) integrated graphics 4 GB DDR3 RAM 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive 15" glossy screen (1366x768x24) fingerprint reader Blu-ray drive (read-only) And the larger: Specs: Intel i7 1.7 GHz Quad Core w/ Hyper-Threading (up to 3.06 GHz w/ TurboBoost) NVIDIA Quadro 5000M GPU w/ 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM 8 GB DDR3 RAM (high speed - 1333 MHz!) 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive 17" 1.07 billion-colour matte screen (1920x1200x30) fingerprint reader backlit, spillproof keyboard Both are beautiful computers and serve me really well. I use the dv6 for school because it wasn't a very expensive computer and has great battery life, and the EliteBook is my awesome gaming/do-it-all machine.
  19. The title pretty much explains this feed so I'll go first. Steve looks like a pretty decent or maybe even a top tier character, for now that is, he's got some pretty decent ranges if you forget that his jump is worse than lil mac. He has helytra and blocks to counter that tho so in the end jumping low is not an inconvenient as it amplified the combos at low percent with his rapid attacks. Playing Steve is pretty complex, for me, it's a pretty hard character to master but if you manage your way through his chaotic frame data, you'd be pretty much op. He's got so many tools it rivals the links. Playing against him is an other business tho. It's either you manage to keep him off the ground, disabling his material collection ability and therefore destroying his tool sets, or you get destroyed because he got them ores. That's a quick opinion out if the top of my head so it's in no way a complete analysis
  20. Everyone always talk about there favorite sprites in video games, but what about favorite polygons? Despite showing their age much more than sprites, a lot of them still have a ton of charm, especially during the PS1/N64 era you got some great ones like 64 Mario OoT Link Starfox Megaman Legends Final Fantasy VII But I gotta, I have to say my favorite is MGS1 Snake, this look always stuck with me
  21. So this is something I am wondering. With all of these games in the world, there are soooooo many good series out there that have multiple games in them. That can make it difficult to start with the original game in that franchise and instead we first played a sequel in that series instead of the first game. What are some of these for you? An example of this for me is Dynasty Warriors 4. I played the demo of this game and I had never played a DW game before that and I loved it, so I ended up buying DW4 before ever playing any of the games before it. Then there is Metal Slug, which I have only played Metal Slug 3 and no other games in the franchise, of which there are many. Never even played the original.
  22. Fairly simple question here. There are plenty of options when it comes to purchasing games. Major retailers, resell shops, online retailers or simply digital. With all these options, where do you buy your games? Could be any mixture of these of course. I mostly buy my games digitally from Xbox Live. When I don't do that, I either go to Walmart, rarely Gamestop (I feel better supporting Walmart almost. :\) and if I want to go to a resell shop, there is one in Evansville that is quite good. I like to get DS games from there. :3
  23. I really cant guess mine at this time but as of now the Nintendo 64... Nostalgia of playing them old Mario and Zelda games and things you know?
  24. Games. Games are fun! Definitely. Well, not always. Sometimes. games can be frustrating and not in a good way either. A game can sometimes anger us and just make us feel oh so frustrated and the results may not be good. For some of us this may happen rarely but for others it could be a common occurrence due to one reason or another. So I want to ask and discuss, do video games tend to frustrate you easily? What is your history with this? Me, they do frustrate me easily. My whole life I have had anger problems, yay for bad mental health. It has been a big problem in the past and nowadays, I try my hardest to avoid playing games that could potentially frustrate me to a high degree. Often, if I get frustrated enough, this could result in a meltdown and that never ends well, since it can result to me...well, hitting my face. I am autistic before you ask. So those moments are not good, especially in combination with my anxiety problems, so I try to avoid those moments at all costs now.
  25. I'm sure you've encountered this before: you're several hours into a game, well and truly invested in the story and enjoying the experience the game and what it has to offer, when all of sudden... BAM! You hit a metaphorical wall that stops you dead. Maybe you've encountered a Moon Logic Puzzle, where the solution can only be realized while standing on your head under the light of a full moon, while juggling exactly seven peaches and singing "I'm a Little Teapot". Maybe you've encounter a boss or enemy that must be beaten in a specific way or using a particular method outside of grinding 20+ levels. Or maybe you're just trying to collect all the collectables that may as well be the size of a dime. At what point then, do you think it's okay to use a walkthrough? Some games even come with guidebooks on day one, though I think that spoils the fun when you have something that tells you how to play the game before you've even gone through it once. Me, I tend to avoid walkthroughs until I'm finished my first playthrough, with exceptions for when I've already spent the last hour or two trying to advance and about ready to chuck my controller against a wall. and when I bought a Pokemon Dex guide so I knew how everything evolved and when they learned what moves.
