  1. This is a Google Doc containing most of my more recent art, particularly art done on ProCreate (but also containing a piece done on Notability, as well as several traditional sketches). It was originally created for my friends to view, so ignore any parts that look like would have been addressed to them. However, since it’s on view, you should be unable to view any Google users with access to the document. The dragons here are not dragons from My Little Pony. There is a pony section, though. ((I painstakingly made sure there is no personal information contained in the document.)) ((Please let me know if this is not permitted or otherwise breaks the rules.))
  2. Some sprite edits(1st&4th), commissions, and stuff I did for myself that I like. P sure this is where this sort of thing belongs? Rendering teeth is stupid satisfying. The stuff at the end is from the haunted house I work at. Yes I do have permission from them to put up the pic. Its 3d. Its awesome. If you live in upstate NY you should check it out. Pls dont yell at me, I cant remember how to make stuff into spoilers. Critique is chill.
  3. Welcome to the Homestuck Master Thread. The intention of this thread is to give a home to all things Homestuck; be it sharing theories, art, stories, or just bringing new people into the fold to experience the wonders of Hussie's amazingly complete and imaginative world. For those who have been fans for a long time, this is a place for you, for those who are new to the webcomic, we welcome you and hope you will enjoy your stay. There's nothing else to say except there will be horses, oh horses there shall be. What is Homestuck? Homestuck is a webcomic developed by Andrew Hussie, housed on his site MSPaintAdventures. It is one of the longest running webcomics in history and has been ongoing since April 13, 2009 to the present day. Since its incarnation it has spawned a spin off comic series, a cult following, merchandise, and a video game that is currently in development. Homestuck is one of the few webcomics that actually is successful enough for their creator to work on it full time. Andrew Hussie has done other comics in the past, but none as successful as Homestuck. It has been classified as comedy, action-adventure, fantasy, coming of age, and satire at times. The series has been praised for its interesting use of language and unique sense of humor and style. The comic was inspired by games like The Sims and Earthbound and regularly pays homage to them. Originally Homestuck was intended to be driven entirely by fans who would decide the story through voting on what happens next sort of like a choose your own adventure novel with Hussie having a general idea how the story would play out. However 1 year after its creation the fan base had grown too large to where Hussie had to take control of the story. Hussie develops the entire story by himself and sometimes has help from others, but a majority of the work is done by him. What is Homestuck About? This is actually a very difficult question to answer due to the nature of the story. However Homestuck is in a nutshell about 4 children whom receive a mysterious computer game called Sburb which triggers the destruction of the earth. The 4 must then go on an adventure to win the game and save the human race. Along the way they are assisted (and inconvenienced at times) by a group of alien "trolls" whom have played the game in the past. The story uses a combination of flash animations, flash games, comic panels, and chat logs to convey what is happening. Much of the dialogue between characters is down through what are called "Pesterlogs" which are logs of the in-world chat client called Pesterchum. The comic could be likened to Scott Pilgrim in style in that the universe they live in contains many video game elements that are universally accepted without question by the cast. It often even makes fun of video game cliches and stereotypes. It is very difficult to sum up the entire plot of the story in one place due to how long it is. What Should I Know Before Reading? There definitely are a few key things you should keep in mind before attempting to read Homestuck. It is unlike any other webcomic as it is a creature all its own. To date there really is no other medium like it as it combines elements of video games, books, movies, and music all in one place. Because of this, people should keep in mind many things when they are attempting to read the story: Homestuck will not always make sense. Much of the story is intended to be understood as you progress and thus a lot will leave you confused until a later point in the story. There is even some things that have not been explained yet which happened very early in the story, so do not get discouraged if you get confused. It is a good idea to have a friend who has already read it. Homestuck is massive enough to where it sometimes takes the mind of another person to interpret what is going on. There is no shame in not understanding it right away. Hold off on questions until you get closer to the end because chances are your questions will be answered at a later part in the story. The story is VERY long. Right now Homestuck is over 9,800 pages and text wise it is longer than every Harry Potter book combined. You may want to break it up into several sittings to read through it, because it is long. Due to this length, it is very complex as well. It is difficult to avoid spoilers. You should only be reading on a PC/Laptop with a browser that has flash enabled. Because a lot of the comic uses flash, a mobile phone is not sufficient to view it. To top this off, even if you get flash working on a phone, many of the flashes require interaction via a keyboard which won't work on a mobile device. When the comic does update, the site sometimes will go down for a few hours due to the high level of readers at that time. Understand what "pauses" are: Hussie will sometimes put the comic on a "pause" which means updates will be stopping for a while. At the time of writing this the comic is currently on an "Omegapause" which supposedly will be the longest pause the comic has ever been on. This is so that progress on the Homestuck game can be made. Understand that the Paradox Space spin off comic is not necessary to understand Homestuck, however a basic understanding of Homestuck is necessary to understand Paradox Space. Homestuck fans can be a bit crazy at times, be prepared. Many of the characters type with "quirks" which can be difficult to read at times, but with enough practice you will be able to read them with ease as time goes on. Homestuck's humor a lot of the time comes from drawn out language and over the top explanations. Hussie will regularly use a lot of bigger words that are not necessary to describe something going on as a joke and sometimes go over the top with an explanation for a similar humorous effect. Don't be surprised if you need a thesaurus. Do not skip the pester logs. They are long, but they are crucial to the story. Understand that Homestuck is a slow build up. Because of how long the story is, it takes a while before the juicy bits are happening, so it is a commitment. Make sure you bookmark the last page you were on because the save feature sometimes doesn't work. Make sure you explore everything in the games. Click on everything, read every bit of extra dialogue and make absolutely sure you've done all there is to do before going to the next page. Doc Scratch is an excellent host. A lot of the story has time travel, alternate universes and such in it so be prepared for complex explanations. There is vulgarity in it, so you're going to see some F words regularly. FAQ Q: Someone told me to skip to where the trolls are introduced, should I? A: I would say no. You more or less will be skipping to Act 5 and missing a bunch of really important info. Many people really love the trolls so they will often tell people to do this because they want them to get to where they can enjoy the trolls faster for fear of them getting bored with the comic before ever reaching them. I wouldn't advise it though, if you can't get through the first 4 acts then you probably aren't going to like the rest of the comic. Q: What's with the number 413? A: The comic started on April 13th, which is 4/13. This number or variations of the three digits that make up that number appear regularly throughout the comic. It's clear that it plays some significance to the story or it is a constant running gag with Hussie. Q: What's this about a Homestuck game? A: There is a Homestuck video game that was funded on Kickstarter that is in development called Hiveswap. It is going to be available sometime this year supposedly. It is a point and click adventure game which will take place in the Homestuck universe. Q: Is there an audio book for Homestuck? A: There is a collab that does a video series where they read the comic, however they are not caught up to the current pages of the comic and they recently announced that their group is splitting up and the future of the collab is unknown currently. Q: I don't understand X in the story! A: Wait a while to get further in. If you get pretty damn far and it still doesn't make sense ask someone who has read it. If it's not supposed to make sense yet, they usually will tell you. Always preface such conversations with what page you're on. Q: Doesn't Homestuck have like a really crappy fanbase? A: Most homestuck fans will joke that they are "Homestuck trash" and that their fanbase is trash, but truth be told the fanbase's escapades are extremely exaggerated and many people make fun of Homestuck fans because the fanbase almost refuses to defend itself. It is not the same as bronies where people stick together and defend their fandom. Homestuck fans are known for being more or less completely uncaring about how other people view their fandom and will regularly laugh at their own fandom. As a result many people believe it is far worse than it actually is. The truth is though that the Homestuck fandom is actually no where near what could be considered "one of the worst" fandoms in existence. Q: I hear the comic is ending soon? A: Yes. April 13th 2016 will mark the end of the comic with Act 7. Now that you're familiar with Homestuck, let us enjoy the thread!
  4. While not a typical piece of fanart, I figured I could post this here since what I'm working on technically is pony-related visual fanart. Anyway, I'm currently working on an MLP/Homestuck crossover webcomic. I'm hoping to capture the spirit of both of these franchises within it, as well as giving it some original charm as well. If you want to check it out, here's the link. Also, criticism on it is appreciated!
  5. So I recently started off a new MLP/Homestuck crossover webcomic. As of now it's very short, only at 3 pages, however I do plan to update frequently, and I am currently working on the next few pages. If you're curious to the plot, it's basically just the Mane 6 play Sburb and chaos ensues after that. I plan to make it fairly elaborate while presenting the new features in an understandable way to the audience. In a sense, I'm going to try to capture the spirit of both Homestuck and MLP in the comic. Here's the link to it if you want to check it out: That's all from me.
  6. Has anyone read the webcomic "Homestuck"? I was wondering what you guys think of it. I just started reading, I'm on Act 3 at the moment. It's incredibly boring at first but it's been getting better since Act 2.
  7. so i tried a new art style for my latest drawing. did i do any good on it?
  8. Oh my god guys!!! Homestuck is on its final stretch before the final update on 4/13 It's been a long seven years and I'm so excited to see how it ends! Is anyone here a fan of homestuck? Who's absolutely hyped?
  9. For those who don't know what a forum adventure is: Basically, the writer of the adventure starts off by posting a character and the situation they're in. Readers contribute by posting commands for the character, and the writer posts the results of those commands. Anyway, Stablekept: SBURB is Magic is a forum adventure concerning MLP characters and Homestuck plot elements, but you don't have to be a reader of Homestuck to check this out! (Though Homestuck is good; you should read it anyway.) The adventure can be found here, on the MSPA Forums, and though it's not very far along yet, you can help move it further along by posting commands! Thanks in advance!
  10. WARNING: MENTION OF GORE, AND POSSIBLY THE KILLINGS OF YOUR FAVORITE TROLL/PONY (note these are the alpha-trolls) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Oh dear.........this is hard to explain..... ok! lets put it this way I just recently finished watching pewdiepies play-through of "Corpse party" and I automatically thought of....homestuck...dunno why But~ I wanna turn it into a story....based on the game (anime?) buuttttt this will be a hard decision...sense only 9 people get trapped and their is 12 trolls (not counting the humans) so~ What I was thinking 3 trolls and the humans refuse to do the charm, which leaves 9 trolls all together let me put a list Trolls/humans that stay behind Meenah Horrus Aranea Jane Roxy Jake Dirk Trolls who do the charm Kankri Mituna Rufioh porrim Muelin Damara kurloz latula cronus and sense 4 die in this story this will be hard because I hate killing any type of canon character Kankri-Hung by cronus (yus...) Porrim-Thrown down the hall and splattered on the wall by ghost children (hehehe I love gore) Latula-Falls into the floor after it caves in, saves Mituna in the process. Muelin-Goes insane after realizing porrims remains are the ones on the wall (yus) I shall let that sink in for a moment..... My work here is done~ (im still debating on wither or not I should make the humans the ghost children, but that would make no sense) However, Im still debating on wither or not ill mix corpse party will all other sorts of fandoms like MLP (MLP is actually one of my ideas, I just haven't made a list of who dies and who does *evil face) BIG NOTE: BASED ON THE WAY PEWDIEPIE HAS PLAYED THE GAME, SO IF THE CHARACTER DOESNT ACTUALLY DIE, WELL LETS JUST SAY THEY DID IN THIS VERSION
  11. (Just to let everypony know this will take a more mspa thing where you choose what happens next!) You just became a MUCH bigger brony and now your mom is buying you merch, you make some money doing work outside and get EVENMORE MLP STUFF!!!! Where do you put it abd whats his name.....

  13. Is anypony out there a Homestuck fan? Or does anypony completely hate it? Or does nopony no what it is and need somepony to explain it to them. Just wondering if we could have a Homestuck related topic here.
  14. Any Brony Homestucks? Discuss here.
  15. Hello all. If it's not too much trouble, I would appreciate some feedback on my little pride & joy of a fanfic. It's sort of a lengthy ongoing saga, so any nudges in the right direction with it are appreciated! Since it's a Homestuck crossover, some knowledge of the webcomic would be helpful but perhaps not necessary. The basic story is that the mane six are told to play a version of sBurb by Celestia, not knowing anything about what they're getting themselves into. Well, for the most part, but you'll have to read to see what I mean by that The story can be found here, so if anyone would like to read and (nicely) critique then have at it!
  16. Hey, So I am wanting to create an MSPA webcomic of my own and I am unsure of what software would be best for me to use. I was thinking that I could use an illustrator software similar to adobe illustrator but I don't have the cash to actually buy adobe illustrator. Does anyone here know of any cheap or free illustrator programs that I could use to produce my web comic?
  17. So I was reading a webcomic on ms paint adventures when I had an idea for a fan fic that may be produced in a similar format. I know that I don't want to copy Hussie's story telling style exactly but I am wanting to do something like what he did for his paint adventures. I am wondering if there were a way that I could...incorporate it somehow without completely ripping it off. Do any of you guys think it would be possible to make such an idea work without coming off as a ripoff?
  18. Okay bronies, homestuck time! Just want to go out and see what most people would consider their patron troll to be. I'd say I'm Sollux
  19. I had to draw a horse in my art class yesterday. I failed so spectacularly that I stopped drawing and doodled this on a fresh page LOL. I felt discouraged from drawing for half of the day after that XD it was not a fun feeling. And then I came home and realised that I had all the right markers to color this guy 8D He's not this dark though I swear. My scanner is shit >.< Yes, the coloring/ shading job is that crappy though XD My Karkat has red eyes. Whut naow, betch. *scuttles off to youtube to try and regain braincells*
  20. Oops, I Homestucked. Oops, I Homestucked my favorite character. Oops, I Homestucked my favorite character as a grub. Oops. Also, figured out a new background technique 8D
  21. John: Hello, I'm John Egbert, and it appears as if me and my friends have been turned into ponies! Dave: So come on down and fricking ask us stupid questions. Karkat: Whoop-de-fricking-do. Nepeta: Anypony from Homestuck can be asked a question Meow :3 Gamzee: AnD DoN't FoRgEt To ReLax And DrInK ThE WiCkEd ElIxEr Of FaYgo. ) HonK.
  22. I just started reading Homestuck (a little late to the party, I know) and my heart exploded like a billion and a half times consecutively after reading this panel. Rainbow Dash is my favorite favorite favorite pone of all time and this just made my life better. Like, the rest of the show is honestly kind of uninteresting to me except for Dash to me (Scootaloo can stay too) and while I know this kind of talk is nigh blasphemous, seeing this in the comic just exploded me srs guise. [sorry I just spazzed out I can't hold my spaghetti about Rainbow Dash for some reason...]
  23. For those of you who aren't in the know, Homestuck is an webcomic made by Andrew Hussie, the latest in a line of webcomics known collectively as MS Paint Adventures. It was originally interactive, taking commands from the fans, but this was discontinued as the plot became far too big for it. Homestuck is an absolutely massive story focused around a game that has drastic and universe reaching consequences, starting around 4 kids who are playing this game and gradually growing in scope and size. It has action, adventure, drama, feels, humor, timeline shenanigans, and genuinely lovable characters. One of my friends said it best: "Homestuck has something for everyone, its just a question of whether its enough to get into." If you haven't done so, I would encourage that you give it a try, though it starts a bit slow in the beginning, it is well worth the effort. I know that there is a lot of enmity between the fans of My Little Pony and the Homestuck fandom, but you shouldn't let that get in the way of enjoying this incredible show. In fact, Hussie has shown at least a knowledge of ponies, with a cameo later in the comic by one of the ponies. You don't have to join the fandom, just give the comic a try. I looked for a thread about this, but I didn't find one, so I figured I'd give everyone a chance to talk about it. Any questions, ask me. If you are already a fan, what did you like about the show, favorite troll, best part, etc.? My favorite trolls are Aradia (post-robot) and Gamzee, my favorite part so far has been Cascade (but no surprise there), and I want to finallly see Lord English get his comeuppance.
  24. Colors! 3D seriously saves stuff as jpeg? I expected better, Collecting Smiles. Nicolas Cage coming at you as the fully realized Nick of Time, because Hussie says so. The background is a combo of LOHAC and LOQAM, Dave and Aradia's planets respectively, because Heroes of Time and I looked and couldn't find a name for Cage's planet in the Medium, not even in fanon. At one point I had Liv Tyler/Terry Kiser carrying the Warhammer of Zillyhoo, Ahab's Crosshairs, the Royal Deringer, and the Quills of Echidna in the upper right corner, but I accidentally the entire bunny and the undo was borked, so I went all fgsfds and forgot about it. If you have suggestions or something, shoot, because I'm fresh out of ideas. Other stuff of mine, none of it traced and none of it pony (yet): It's Gleeok, the two-headed dragon and boss of the Temple of Ice in LoZ: Phantom Hourglass. I always liked this boss fight and design, and I conveniently had a hardcover guide with a sweet pic in it that looked kinda like this. It's not traced, and I never will trace anything on C3D EVER. I wanted to do something with Pokemon, so yeah. Scizor vs. Tyranitar, with Ttar having switched into Stealth Rock once and Scizor twice. That is a realistic HP number, by the way. Expect no less from me, as I know far too much about Pokemon. Pose as a team, the world is real. It's the final panel of Problem Sleuth, another of Hussie's MS Paint Adventures. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Jack Noir fits in with a cards theme more than anything (blackjack and whatnot), but a literal translation gets you Jack Black. OCTAGONNNNN Say hello to Bro Strider, the most swagtastic character ever conceived. By conceived, I mean created via ectobiology. It's pretty much straight out of Descend, Homestuck's big End of Act 4 and my favorite flash. I think I'm gonna need a bigger thread. Honestly, I don't know if putting all this stuff here is against the rules or anything like that. I should probably check and add more descriptions, although the main reason I made this was to show you Nic Cage. The rest was sort of an afterthought because I didn't want to have to make a ton of threads. I'll edit with descriptions if you guys/gals want, although there's not all that much to say. Unlabeled stuff from top to bottom for reference: Gleeok, a Pokemon battle, the Problem Sleuth endpose, Jacks Black and Noir, and Bro Strider. I should have thought this out more, honestly. Possible reformat coming in the future, maybe? There's this much stuff because I forgot Octavia's Hall (actually, everything except Everfree) existed for a while, so it's kinda piled up and this is only six of eleven. The best six, I thought. Why am I rambling so much. EDIT: Holla holla get reformat except for last paragraph. I added short descriptions after each picture because it would make me feel better and less in violation of rules that may or may not exist. Seriously, I couldn't find a thread with Octavia's Hall rules. Regardless...>All: Fondly regard creations.
  25. She's sad because the wuv of her lief is crabby and mean. But I'm sure Karkat cares for Nep in some way. Nepkat is my OTP 5ever. Seriously.
