    Gaming Metroid Prime 4 Delayed

Hello everypony! Nintendo fans have been waiting since E3 2017 for news about Metroid Prime 4 when it was announced by Nintendo, and we finally got something out of it. It's being delayed because they are going to completely restart the development from scratch. I don't blame Nintendo for this. When Metroid Other M came out, I was severely disappointed in the game. It wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. And then the fans hated Federation Force to no end, which I don't blame them for that. I think this could be interpreted as Nintendo acknowledging the fact that the fans don't want another average title like Other M. They certainly do appear to be serious about Prime 4, so I think the delay is for the best.
  2. Which is the better Franchise in your opinion. Legend of Zelda games or Mario games. Cast your votes.
  3. Now before you go full rage on me, I need to clarify: Ocarina of Time IS a good game, just not my favorite. I love OoT a lot, but other games have come after that and I have played those more. Wind Waker I find is my favorite in the series, the cartoon look, the cel shading, the atmosphere, and story telling that continued after Ocarina! I find a lot of moments in that game that made me feel like I am on a real adventure of a life time across the vast sea! As for anyone else, do you have a favorite that surpasses OoT? If not, that is perfectly fine, there is nothing wrong with favoring OoT.

Gaming Which Is Your Favorite Pokemon Game?

Which Pokemon game is your favorite? Why? My favorites are Pokemon White and Pokemon Black 2. I felt that these games had a fun and memorable playthrough. The games could have been a bit longer, but I loved pretty much everything about them.
  5. I'm sure lots of us have played the oh-so popular Nintendo crossover fighter, Super Smash Bros., in some way shape or form. And, I'd like to ask, if you have, which installment of the series is your favorite? My personal favorite is the newest release, Smash 4 for Wii U and 3DS. Which is your favorite (and if you say Super Smash Flash, I'll virtually smash you )
  6. I'm having difficulty finding anyone else that signed up for Nintendo's new online service for the Switch. This is despite the fact that it's so affordable ($20 a year, which divides into less than $2 for each month). Basically, I'd like to find people to exchange friend codes with and maybe play the complimentary NES online library with, along with the upcoming Smash Bros Ultimate.

    Gaming Nintendo Direct 9/13/2018

Hello everyone. I was on Discord earlier, and I understand that Nintendo has announced another Direct for tomorrow at 3:00 PM Pacific Standard time. I thought maybe I should start a topic about it. Obviously a lot of people are excited about Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and hoping there will be a newcomer announced during the direct, but we'll see. What would you like to see in the direct? What do you think will happen?
  9. Ok, Quick Question here: If you like Nintendo, what is your favorite Title/series from Nintendo? Remember, you can list ANY title or series below, as long as it was an ACTUAL Nintendo game, not a Capcom, Sega, or any other brand name's game that was licensed for one of Nintendo's console, e.g. Street Fighter IV and Sonic Heroes. Especially not Sega, since they were Rivals in the 90's
  10. So since Pokemon Black2 & White2 are coming out very soon in North America. I'm curious to ask which Pokemon game is your favorite, also to add which Pokemon is your favorite. I'v played every game at some point or another, but for me i'd say Diamond & Pearl were my personal favorite, the storyline and game was just so different it was awesome. I also always have a hard time choosing my favorite Pokemon.. it's always between Chansey, Scizor, and Darkrai! What say you everypony?
  11. Simply put, tell me which Disney (main, Pixar, and yes even Marvel and Star Wars) or Nintendo character does the user above you remind you of. Either by their avatar picture or the poster himself/herself. Also, if the user has an obviously official Disney/Nintendo character in their picture, you could pick from the other medium. I did it this way to avoid making the answer be too obvious, like members with actual Pokemon Avatars playing the "Which Pokemon is the User Above You" game. Of course, it's your acceptable choice to go with the obvious if you want, as long as it doesn't break Global Rules. Go on, have fun!

    Gaming Splatoon Fan Club

Hello there, inkling and welcome to the Splatoon fan club! Splatoon is a third-person shooter originally developed and published by Nintendo in May 2015 for the Wii U (Japan: 28th May 2015, North America and Europe: 29th May 2015 and Australia/New Zealand on 30th May 2015). The game is about characters known as Inklings; which are human-squid hybrids that can hide or swim through ink. The game features several modes, including 4v4 online multiplayer and a single player campaign. The game came out to critical acclaim when it initially released, with many critics praising the game for its style, gameplay and mechanics. Many critics were also surprised at Nintendo for deciding to enter the shooter genre. Splatoon would later receive a sequel on the Nintendo Switch with a worldwide release on July 21st, 2017. Likely due in part to the overwhelming success of the Switch, Splatoon 2 sold over 6 million units. Making it the fourth best selling game on the console. The sequel is identical to is predecessor, however it does contain some new modes, like the popular Salmon Run and the Octo Expansion, which you can purchase from the Nintendo eShop. -------------------------- This thread was created for fans of the Splatoon games to meet fellow fans, discuss the game, share fan art and theories and share tips and tricks. Discussion about anything to do with Splatoon and its sequel are welcome, spoilers included. If you are lurking this thread and have questions about the game, you are also welcome and I'll answer any questions you might have about the game. I'm not sure if I posted this in the right section, but enjoy!
  13. This thread has been done before, but I wanted to make a poll so we could see which characters were people's favorites. Personally, I love Jigglypuff, Game and Watch, and Bowser, and I would say they're my mains.

Recommended Final Fantasy for a newcomer?

I was thinking about trying something new,ive always hated Final Fantasy but I’ve seen the remake of FFVII and i want to give it a shot before I start hating it again. A friend recommended FFVI or FFVII. I was thinking about starting from the NES or starting with 6. I appreciate it if you can help
  15. What is your favorite game in the Mario Kart series? I've played every game in the series but Mario Kart 8, and my favorite is Mario Kart Wii. I love its wide selection of tracks, karts, and players.
  16. https://www.cnet.com/news/nintendo-nes-classic-returns-to-stores-in-june/ I just found out yesterday that the NES Classic Edition is coming back in the stores on June 29th! When this month is over, I'm gonna put money aside for the system, plus a Controller! At the price of $80, this might imply that it will come bundled with a second controller, if you factor in the following: Cost of Unit Originally: $60 Cost of Additional Controller: $10 Cost of keeping scalpers from gouging us just to live in Donald Trump's America: $10! And if you must ask, I'm gonna buy it for convenience, and adding in games that I own, whether I bought them digitally or otherwise. Why else would I support them, and keep from letting inferior companies like AtGames make these same consoles, but make it with terrible sound emulation and inferior tech? I do it to SUPPORT Nintendo. Which is why I would NEVER buy a Raspberry Pi just to SPITE Nintendo and save even MORE money, money that could be used to buy a soldering kit and a CR2032 Battery to fix my Gamecube's Clock. I'd need a Gamebit to get into the system, and risk removing the Shadow the Hedgehog Decals on it. And I don't need to be nagged by @SaburoDaimando like I'm Shredder and he's Krang asking to build a new body for him!
  17. What seems to now be tradition with their new found arrogance from their massive success with the Switch, Nintendo is once again shooting themselves in the foot. A Nintendo spokesperson told Kotaku: Nintendo also has stated that while they may not bring back the virtual console, they may still re-release classic games in a different way. So basically, to sum up: "F**CK YOU, GIVE ME MONEY. " This is a TERRIBLE decision on Nintendo's part, one of many that they have made with the Switch in the past year. Abandoning the Virtual Console means that Nintendo doesn't have to bother with making our Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console purchases transfer over. This means that when they re-release these games for the 20 billionth time, we will ONCE AGAIN have to rebuy them if we want them on the new system. On top of the overpriced Wii U ports, Nintendo seems to be milking older games for all they are worth now. There has been some speculation that maybe this is because of the upcoming paid online service that will allow us to play classic games as long as we are subscribed, but for now, that is only NES games and if Nintendo's track record is anything indicative, it will be a slow trickle of content, when they already have a massive amount of content already with the Virtual Console. As a point of comparison, I want to compare this to how Xbox has handled this. (DO NOT make this into a 'Oh but Xbox sucks!' debate) Xbox has absolutely killed it with backwards compatibility. While it isn't direct 1:1 since not all games work, the bonuses that you get with the over 500 that do is staggering, like recording features, enhanced visuals and so on. Even ignoring that though, Xbox has allowed us to play several ORIGINAL Xbox games that are 15 years old and with a DISK COPY. Yeah, seriously. That is very well done. While these do require an internet connection for the initial download, you can then play them online and off, all with achievements and online services intact, assuming the game has those. All of that, and Nintendo can't even be bothered to bring the Virtual Console back at all. A feature that was loved by millions of people, just so they can charge us AGAIN AND AGAIN for the same shit we have already bought AGAIN AND AGAIN. Say what you will about Nintendo, but this is entirely anit-consumer and another sign that they don't know how to think of a bigger picture. There are things I love about the Switch, its core concept of being a portable home console was basically nailed, but there have been so many stupid choices made by Nintendo themselves that it is THEM that is holding the system back. Sounds awfully familiar. Almost like they have done that before. This along with the overpriced ports, the terrible sounding upcoming online service (You will then have to PAY to use their TERRIBLE phone app for goddamn voice chat), and the near abandonment of media features, I am not sure what to think of the Switch anymore.
  18. OMG! There's a nice string of Nintendo games, each one coming every month. Nintendo Labo (Switch): April 16 Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition (Switch): May 18 Mario Tennis Aces (Switch): June 22 Captain Toad Treasure Trackers (Switch/3DS): July 13 WarioWare Gold (3DS): August 3 (right after my birthday) Plus this year is Super Smash Bros. for Switch! And if you like Remakes: the original Luigi's Mansion from Gamecube is coming to 3DS this year and Bowser's Inside Story from Original DS is also coming to 3DS next year! What are your thoughts/ hopes for the Nintendo Gaming future?
  19. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/11/rumour_capcom_creating_new_ace_attorney_for_switch_alongside_collections_of_past_entries So this came about in November last year, but since then Capcom has released the Megaman Legacy Collection in this fashion and has indeed mentioned they want to continue the Ace Attorney games on the Switch, as they have proven to be one of Nintendo's nicest little niche titles on the DS and 3DS with a dedicated following, myself included! I know @Envy is a big fan of this series and I'm sure plenty of users here are as well. A full release of the entire main series on the Switch would be a great boon to the Switch's library (inb4 no more ports!) as there are many people who actually have never played these games. They were always relatively niche titles and many of us were sad that Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice were never physically released in the US, so this could be a chance to have a physical copy out there. Now sadly Capcom doesn't have the BEST track record with handling the series as they have made some mistakes in the past such as: Not porting Miles Edgeworth Investigations 2 to the west citing poor sales of the first game, despite a fan translation being made because the demand was high enough to justify it. Locking out a DLC from Dual Destinies from the west because they claimed Americans would not be able to figure out the puzzles that "required heavy knowledge of Japan to do" despite living in an age of the internet where people could look up and research this stuff. Making the previous two entries eShop exclusive. Not releasing a prequel game in the west that people were demanding. But this DOES bring me to another fear I have: Capcom released the Legacy Collection for Megaman on the Switch in the dumbest way possible... Megaman 8 and 9 were download codes... Defeating the purpose of releasing a physical copy if there is going to be a download code for two of the games. Why? Because half the point of physical copies is preservation and sharing. If I want to let my wife play these games, now she can't play them on HER Switch because I had to redeem the codes, etc. Also makes them worthless buying used as well. Please Capcom do this right this time and lead into a new game the RIGHT way.
  20. So for the uninitiated, here is the trailer for the recent Smash reveal at the Nintendo Direct on March 8th: Now many were speculating on whether or not this will be a new entry or a port of the Wii U/3DS game which most refer to as Smash 4. I, however, am of the belief that I am 90% sure this is a new entry based upon a series of evidence that I have located. Now for the sake of keeping this objective, I'll only include the evidence that is verified or mostly verified. Here is a list of reasons as to why this is more than likely a new entry and not a port: Development wise, Smash 4 came out 4 years ago almost, this is about the amount of time necessary to make a new entry and not a port. Sakurai has returned for this game and has revealed he has been working on it for some time now in silence. It seems pointless to bring him back just to make a port. Link is obviously in his Breath of the Wild Attire , meaning it won't be the same Link. Some could argue it's a costume, but combine that with everyone else and you'd kind of just be grabbing at straws. The logo is different. Every Smash game has had a different style logo, and this logo does not match the Wii U/3DS game. The copyright info at the bottom literally says "Original Game" The same Copyright logo does not list 2014-2018, just 2018. The Copyright information also lists HAL as the developer whom did not develop Smash 4. The most damning piece of evidence though is Bandai Namco is not listed at all, even if you could argue that it is still a port and they just coincidentally only listed 2018 as the year, and were including costumes from Breath of the Wild for Link, you would have a hard time explaining why Bandai Namco is not being credited for their original work if this is just a porting job by HAL. The nature of how it was revealed would not only make no sense for a port, but statistically has seldom been done for a port. Nintendo would not go through the trouble of building up hype over a port when E3 is coming so soon, and this clearly is intended for an E3 reveal. I HIGHLY doubt after that level of reveal it would be a port. More or less to insist this is a port, you need a concrete explanation to explain away all of these. There is still a possibility that these are all VERY convenient coincidences, but currently the evidence is pointing more toward a new game. Thoughts?
  21. I don't think it's any mystery or secret that when the Switch was first revealed I was one of the many naysayers. I could not wrap my head around how such an underpower system could actually make it. I was already writing off Nintendo to go the way of Sega and switch to just software development. The Switch had so many flaws with its design that I couldn't even fathom how it was going to make it... Well happy to report not only was I wrong, but almost a year later I actually bought one. The Nintendo Switch is actually proving to be the best third party support Nintendo's ever had, and its first party line up remains as strong as ever. Why is the Switch doing so well though? The answer is pretty simple: Portability. There is a lot of value in buying a game on the Switch in that you actually get two versions of the game. One to play at home and one to take on the go. Nintendo focused heavily this time around on advertising what the Switch does and how it works so there was no mystery. The Switch has already almost outsold the Wii U's lifetime sales and is slated to surpass the Xbox One in its lifetime, which is no surprise as the Xbox One continues to lack exclusive games or a reason to justify its hardware. What do you think about the Switch and how can they improve it?

Gaming What console should I get?

Okay guys so here's the deal. I am thinking about getting a new console and there are two consoles in particular, The Xbox One and the Nintendo Entertainment System. Now I know what you're thinking? Why the Nintendo Entertainment System? Well that's because there are so many great games for it like Super Mario Bros 1, 2j, 2 and 3, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Castlevania 1-3, Ducktales 1 and 2, Darkwing Duck, Mega Man 1-6, Metal Storm, Sweet Home, Batman, Adventure Island, Blades of Steel, Kid Icarus, Battle Toads, Contra. Just so many great games for it, more than I can list and it's a console that, to me, is really worth getting. Plus, there are more games being made for it, like Swords n Runes, Battle Kid the Fortress of Peril, Haunted Halloween 86, Mad Wizard, Rise of Amondus and not to mention all the Rom Hack carts out there like My Little Pony: Dr, Discord's Conquest, Metroid Rogue Dawn, Castlevania Blood Moon, Simon's Quest Redux, The Legend of Zelda Ganon's Revenge. Etc. Just so many reasons to get a NES. Then we have the Xbox One, the most powerful game console in existence and it also has quite a few gems itself like Halo the Masterchief Collection, Gears of War 4, Super Lucky's Tale, Player Unknown Battlegrounds, Cuphead, Stranger of Sword City, Forza Motorsport, Titanfall and of course Halo 5. I don't know, they both sound good, Which should I get guys?
  23. Ok this has to be one of the stupidest things i have ever seen....i almost thought it was made up XD why ?...just why ? just...just look. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/01/nintendos-labo-playset-slaps-the-switch-into-build-your-own-cardboard-toys/
