  1. Want to ask your favorite species of Pokémon a question? You can do it here! Wether it’s a Pokémon center Chansey, a police Growlithe, or just a wild Zubat, you can ask any Pokémon, from any region, any question you’d like. RotomDex will be helping me translate. RotomDex: *bbzzt* Hi everybody!! If you don’t pick a specific Pokémon to ask, then you’ll get an answer from MY favorite Pokémon, Ninetales. (Disclaimer: This is meant for general species questions. If you want specific Pokémon characters from the anime, you might be out of luck. I haven’t seen much of it since Orange League.)
  2. Ex. I say Talonflame Next poster says Swampert Next poster says Ivysaur Etc. Doesn't matter if it's the Pokémon's primary or secondary typing, as long as one type is super effective against the previous Pokémon's type(s). Ready? I'll start. Chatot
  3. So, found this personality test a while back. Been spending weeks on & off finding a good one and (of two) this one seems really quite genuine & on point. Found it on Reddit, and while I'd like to give credit where it's due... don't know how to! Quite well done, as the fellow says they did their research more into how most of the Pokemon use their moves' typing. Like, for one, you could just lump Steel into being stoic & strong like Rock-Types, but what Steel actually does... is more ingenuity. Aggressively so. Shedding excess weight to go faster, blinding foes with your light, deft cutting... Rock just smashes. Feel it really makes you re-evaluate your views on things. Crystallizes a cold, clear-cut view. Sure, maybe you'd want to be your favorite Typing & elemental power... but maybe you're only seeing what you want to see from what you've conceptualized the concept as. Sure, maybe you want to be as edgy as Dark, but its just as competitive as Fighting-Types are. And a few additional things I may add, as sort of rules to this little game: 1. Anything below 60% doesn't count. That basically means the qualities of that typing show up in you barely any more than any other else. You'd be playacting against your own nature if you tried. 2. I would recommend taking the test several times. I'm an Ice-Type. (This is why I'm so focused on the typing myself.) And it never leaves the top two choices no matter how many times I try retaking it. Something that sturdy warrants placing as your Primary Typing & anything that consistently shows up under that as Second to Fourth places can opt as your dual typing. I got Ice Type followed by Ground, Grass & Psychic. Those latter three seemingly replaceable with each other. 3. Do, please, feel free to bring up your results! Given your top three, I can provide you with a list of dual-type pokemon that you can feel best represent you in turn. Or, indeed, a rundown of how the typed moves often work to give you an experience of how the element works. For example, my top two being Ice/Psychic.... ...*double facepalm*... makes me a Jynx...that makes far, far too much sense... Or possibly, Piloswine, Snover, Claydol, Exeggutor. ... I'm noticing a trend here. A trend of Doofyness. So! Please do let me, & us, know what your results are! Certain users I'd like to take this test are: I swear to Glod, if you don't get Water Typing, @Duality ... I'll have to grow a fist just to clench it dramatically. Though, in all honesty, I'm banking on you getting primarily Bug typing. @Stone Cold Steve Tuna as Poison typing. (There's just an amusing allure to your tone. Vindictive playfullness while being sympathetic all the same is very Poison.) @SolarFlare13 as Fire and/or Dragon. (Yeh little sparkplug, growin' up in da world!) @Catpone Cerberus as a... YER AH FAIRY, CERBIE!!! (It's a... vibe, I get. Of playful, caring intent.) And... while I'm at it... throw @Storm Shine in for Fairy & Flying to boot! And last but not least... likely the one other user on here I can kinda sympathize the most with... @Chrylestia600 as Ghost and/or Dark. Kind of... feels a bit insulting somehow, but... Ghosts are friendly sorts in the Pokemon world!
  4. MLPForums' Pokémon Thread Hello there, and welcome to the MLPForum's Pokemon thread! Pokemon is one of Nintendo's largest franchise's second only to Mario. The games revolve around you training creatures called 'Pokemon'. Pokemon are fantastic animals that can range from reptiles and mammals, to robots, spiritual entities, and beavers. As of Pokemon Black and White, there are 649 known species of Pokemon, not including the various forms many Pokemon can take. Like many popular franchises, the Pokemon games have seen plenty of spin-offs, including the Pokepark series, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, and the Pokemon Ranger series. Including all the spin-off games, there are 78 Pokemon games in existence, with 2 additional ones in production. So, use this thread to discuss Pokemon games, get help in Mystery Dungeon, get your team rated, battle with someone, tell everyone of your latest nuzlocke run, how Pikachu refuses to pick up the dang apple, or how Whitney's Miltank and Ghestis's Hydreigon are freakin' hacks, this thread is your on stop shop for all things Pokemon.
  5. Starting development on things I can actually show off with visuals! Tilemaps recovered from oblivion, and steps towards an explorable overworld, this time made with a lot more common sense and cleanliness. Catch details on all that and more in this month's DevLog for the prototype of Battle Gem Ponies! (Get on the Patreon Hype Train for Exclusive Posts about the making, and remaking, of the game!)
  6. So, a while back I was chatting with my friend and he mentioned how, out of over 800 Pokemon, not one of them was Electric/Fighting type. Curious, I looked it up and found that there were in fact 24 type combinations that had never been used before (excluding ones only used by Legendaries and Mega Evolutions.) Then I thought, "What would Pokemon with those typings be like?" and thus this simple, self-imposed creative challenge was started, where I try my best to come up with original Pokemon using only the types as a starting point. Some time later, and I have come up with around 20 Pokemon out of 14 of the 24 type combinations, some even with moveset, abilities, and Pokedex entries and I figured some of you Pokemon fans might be interested in what I've come up with so far. Here's a link to a Google Sheet with all of them in a neat order:
  7. Which Pokemon game is your favorite? Why? My favorites are Pokemon White and Pokemon Black 2. I felt that these games had a fun and memorable playthrough. The games could have been a bit longer, but I loved pretty much everything about them.
  8. Be warned, contains spoilers for Pokémon Black and White. To anyone who hasn't played it yet and plans to, you've been warned. There seems to be a sort of debate what N actually IS in the Gen V Pokémon games (well aside from his real name being really funny. Seriously look him up and you'll see that it's pretty bad if you have a sick mind). Some people say he's a villain because he's, on paper, the leader of Team Plasma, the evil team in Generation V. But here's the thing, technically HE ISN'T. You learn very late in the game (basically the end in fact) that Ghetsis was manipulating his "son" the entire time. Also, he seems to be awfully friendly towards the player for being the villain of the game But onto the actual subject of this blog post. What actually makes N a great anti-hero in my opinion? Well... N has a warped, but very interesting train of thought about Pokémon and their trainers. He thinks (or thought, before his mind was changed towards the end of the game's story) that Pokémon should be released from their trainers because they long to be free. Sure these ideas were brought on by Ghetsis basically brainwashing N for his own gain, but the ideas themselves are rather interesting. I mean think about it. We keep making them fight until they faint for our own enjoyment, we keep making them wear silly (but classy and cute) outfits to compete in contests for our own enjoyment, and we take them from their natural habitats and stuff them inside a little ball. But the problem with this train of thought lies in the assumption that N makes that all Pokémon are suffering and none of them are actually happy to do this for their trainers. Also, he doesn't think about how this will affect the trainers of the Pokémon. But this train of thought feels natural for him to have because the story reveals he was actually raised... by Pokémon and he shows his intelligence by how he argues his point of view, though occasionally he gets a little bit immature about it, but for reasons that actually make perfect sense considering his actual backstory. They aren't random outbursts, they are actually rooted to his lack of real contact with people. N is a part of the evil team, yes, but he actually has a heart. He throughout the game shows that he has legitimate concern for all Pokémon, and even to a degree the player. He occasionally will heal your team, show you the benefit of the doubt even when you disagree with his ideas, and even release his Pokémon after he loses battles to you (he is the only recurring rival or villain to never keep his team. The only Pokémon he DOESN'T release during the game's events is Reshiram or Zekrom (Depending if you play White or Black respectively), and even then he seems to avoid putting him in an actual ball unlike you who keeps theirs in the ball, whether it be your Master Ball, an Ultra Ball, or whatever ball you catch him with. He actually shows more concern for his Pokémon than you or anyone else does with theirs. Not to mention, he actually only serves Ghetsis because his adoptive father convinced him and everyone else that Plasma's mission is to free all Pokémon from their trainers. If he knew the real reason for Ghetsis' agenda against all of the people (including non-trainers even) in Unova, he would have immediately had scorn for Ghetsis and would never have went along with Plasma's takeover of Unova, especially being the king representing such a takeover. N's battles are generally difficult enough to put up a challenge for people who don't have a good understanding of Pokémon, especially the last battle you have with him in Black and White. His Pokémon are made deliberately two or three levels higher than your own, and without a proper amount of strategy it is potentially challenging especially for being a battle in a Pokémon game against a character that technically isn't the Champion or an Elite Four member. He has a variety of types in his teams and his trainer AI isn't going to make battling him too easy, but also not too hard for the tykes the game was initially designed for. I mean none of the trainers in Pokémon games are particularly challenging with a few notable and frustrating exceptions (WHITNEY AND HER FREAKING MILTANK ), but they aren't supposed to be. I think N's AI does this really well and I applaud whoever designed his AI specifically. Well, I'm bad with conclusions, but those are my reasons. N is a kind person with somewhat twisted ideas that provides an adequate challenge for the player. Also, he looks kind of cute. DAMMIT JAPANESE ARTISTS ARE SO GOOD AT MAKING PEOPLE LOOK CUTE Anyways, N in my mind, fits every criteria for a good anti-hero in a video game and he does it well in his own way, making him an interesting character to say the least and I think probably even one of the best characters in the entire video game franchise. Not the anime version of him though, because the cleverness of the character was taken out of the anime. But I say in Black and White, he was a cleverly written anti-hero that checked all of my boxes. Yeah I repeated myself multiple times here, but that is it.
  9. So, with Pokemon Sun & Moon heading towards us, I'm personally looking forward to another wonderful soundtrack from the games. I don't think there's ever been a Pokemon entry where I have felt dissatisfied with the musical score, Junichi Masuda does an amazing job and I have little reason to fear that won't be the case here. So with that said, what are some of your favorite music tracks from the games? Doesn't necessarily have to be from the main series either, the spin-offs have their share of it too. One I've been listening to recently is the Cipher Peon Battle from Colosseum. Might be a synthesizer, but I still love that guitar riff.
  10. Here is Saffron City from Super Smash Bros. on the Organ. Enjoy. Special Thanks to my patron, (Ultimate Fan) Juke Denton, for supporting me on Patreon. Join him here:
  11. Hi, I'm wondering does anypony on here play Pokemon Showdown?
  12. According to sources, the first two generations of My Little Pony lasted in the US from 1983 to 1998. And guess what? Pokemon was introduced there in 1998! I also want to point out that most Pokemon toys were sold by none other than Hasbro, the creators of My Little Pony. This convinces me, Pokemon might have been the successor of classic (not today's) My Little Pony back then!
  13. I do forget where I first heard this practice from, but I do like the results! What a Spirit Pokemon is, is sort of a guardian protector. Something that aids & symbolizes you, something like a guardian angel or a totem animal. But somewhat less serious, heh. What you do is: Go to Random.Org Which is a random number generator website. Then put in 1 as the Min and in the Max window, put in whatever number of Pokemon they're up to now. When you get your random number, take it to Serebii.Net or wherever else has a full list of the Pokemon and find which Pokemon matches the number you got, and there's your own Spirit Pokemon! Oh, and one rule is: What you get on your first round through, you're stuck with! No slip-ups,no re-dos! You forget and put in what was the total amount of Pokemon when last you played years ago, then your stuck with that'un! No new Spirit Pokemon everytime a new generation comes out! Come back here & let us know what you got! I for one think it has some merit to make you feel better. There's quite a few comic strips around that joke about what happens if you get something useless like Magikarp and that was fully what I was expecting on account of me not thinking too much of myself. What I wound up getting... was Mightyena, the giant dark almost-werewolf pokemon! If that ain't a sign to buck up & wear a badge of courage, I don't know what is!
  14. Pokemon detective pikachu a game for 3DS is about a talking pikachu playing as a detective and your job is to help solve mysteries with pikachu. Apparently a movie is being made by warner bros and here's the official trailer. So here's my honest opinions on this..although I really like the fact to finally see a real life pokemons and pikachu ( i mean look how cute and fluffy he is) till he opens his mouth. I was expecting the voice tone to be more fitting to this adorable creature. Overall I have a mixed feeling about this movie..while growing up with pokemons, there's nothing nostalgic about this movie. Now I never played the game before so maybe that's the case or because different cultural media. So honestly I have no words about this movie at all...What's annoys me is how most of the reaction from the people is that they thinks this movie is going to be like deadpool just because Ryan is voicing pikachu. Deadpool and pokemon is in a while different level from each other. So..what do you think of this movie so far? UPDATE: This thread can be use as a review/discussion once the movie is out for May.
  15. The title says it all, out of all of the 700+ pokemon we have, which is your absolute favorite? Mine's extremely obvious!
  16. You might remember in an earlier blog I made that I listed my top 10 favorite Pokemon. Well, now it's time to flip the switch with my top 10 least favorite Pokemon. Before we start, keep in mind that this isn't a list of the top 10 weakest Pokemon. You can find lists like that on bulbapedia or maybe Smogon. These are just my top 10 personal least favorite. 10. Purugly I had a bit a trouble making up this list since there aren't that many Pokemon I don't like. Some Pokemon like this one that are lower on the list I don't hate them, I am just not to fond of them. Purugly always weirded me out. I would get sick of seeing these things since Team Galactic always carried them in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. I also found it strange that one of the things known about it is the fact that it's ugly, especially after evolving from Glameow, who is a rather beautiful Pokemon. Sorry Purugly. 9. Lickylicky I was never really a fan of Licktung in general. It always felt like one of the filler Pokemon since it was always just there and never evolved. Plus, tongues? Really? And people say they newer designs of Pokemon aren't as creative. This thing however is worse due to the fact it managed to get an evolution. This Pokemon just looks all derpy looking. It's design looks odd to me. So this is what happens when you give a tongue Pokemon an evolution. Honestly, if this thing didn't exist then Licktung would be taking this spot. 8. Luvdisc Why does this thing exist? What is its purpose in the series? I mean it doesn't evolve, has terrible stats, and is a water type that looks like a heart for some reason. Don't ask me how those two are related. Yeah this isn't the only Pokemon who's design isn't related to its type on this list. 7. Eggecute/Eggegutor Yeah here it is. Let me get the question out of the way first. How are eggs psychic? I find it slightly worse than Luvdisc since this thing has something else that doesn't make since. How do eggs evolve into a palm tree? I've heard some Pokedex entries say they are actually seeds which would make more since, but they keep that very inconsistent. 6. All those freaking Pikachu clones (Pichu, Plusle, Minun, Pacharisu, Emolga, Dedene) We get it Game Freak, Pikachu is basically the most well known Pokemon so much that you don't even have to know anything about Pokemon and still know who Pikachu is, but really? Do we need a new Pikachu clone every generation? Pichu kind of got away with it in gen 2 since it evolves into Pikachu. But the others? I find Pacharisu adorable but still a Pikachu clone. Plusle and Minun feel like they were only implemented in the games to show off double battles. Emolga and Dedene? Well same issue as Pacharisu. I kind of wish they'd stop introducing a new electric rodent every generation just to ride off of Pikachu's popularity. 5. Patrat Not much to say. You take a Bidoof with Ratatta clone stats and give it creepy eyes that looking totally jarring. 4. Farfetch'd This is another one that falls into the "Why does this exist?" category. I mean we already had much better normal/flying types in gen 1, did this thing really need to exist? The anime made these things out to be really rare and powerful Pokemon. Well, they're only right about one of those things. They're rare cause the only place to get them is an in-game trade for a Spearow. You know, a normal/flying type that is far superior to this thing. Also, I never really liked the look on its face. It always looked like a troll who was constantly teasing me. 3. Delibird Remember when I said that Farfetch'd has a troll look to it? Well, this thing has a derpy look to it. Not to mention, that it's completely useless with its only move having a 20% chance of healing the opponent. We get it you Santa bird, you give out presents, but not to the enemy. Not to mention that there was one that at one point followed Team Rocket in the anime and it was extra annoying. 2. Unown This is the Pokemon I've always had a problem with. It's gimicky in a way where they make you wanna catch all 28 forms of this thing. It's misleading in a way that the 3rd movie made them out to be these powerful beings, when in the games they're freaking useless. And they for some reason take up their entire own ruins for some odd reason. Yeah, turn them to alphabet soup. 1. Spinda There's so many things I don't like about this thing. They have possibly an even dumber gimmick than Unown by having millions of different combinations that the spots could be on their body. Why should I care? They have quite possible the derpiest design ever. In fact, they always looked so miserable to me with the fact that they're eyes are dizzy eyes. And they're totally useless with no evolution and crummy stats. But seriously give this these things a barf bag? Thanks for reading. If I put a Pokemon you like on this list, try not to be offended.
  17. Welcome, Everypony, to the Pokemon Avatar Extravaganza! September 7th - September 30th Artwork by fuutachimaru Hello, everypony, Discord here with further shenanigans for the masses to enjoy~ How is everypony enjoying @Rarity's little fashion week thus far? If you haven't seen it yet, check behind the curtain to find out all about it, as well as other official forum events. There's trivia, polls, dresses to create and gems nearly as beautiful as my face for you all to collect. Fashion Week got me thinking - and I mean some truly, truly deep thinking - the kind of thinking I only get done in my Thinking Tree kind of thinking. I was thinking and I said to myself, I said - 'Discord, there are many other ways to express your interests besides the clothes you wear, yes? Yes, most definitely, Discord, you're such a genius. Oh why thank you, how kind of you to notice! What were you thinking of, Discord, you sly old fox? Well I'm so glad you asked. Why not have the users of our forum wear something else to express a common interest? Why not avatars? And why not...Pokemon?' You see in my expert opinion, Pokemon, like ponies, is a wide and common fandom on the grand old internet. And so, for the entire month of September, this topic will remain pinned in our Forum Lounge, encouraging any and all users to pick a favorite Pokemon of theirs and use it as their avatar! There is, however, a catch. No duplicates! The Rundown: * Make a comment with the name and picture of the Pokemon you wish to use as your avatar. Your posted image does not have to be the avatar you end up using, it's a visual reference for those scrolling through the thread, in case the OP hasn't been updated yet. Your name will be added to the list along with the name of your chosen Pokemon. * Once you've claimed a Pokemon, no one else may officially submit their participation as that same Pokemon. However, there can be one shiny and one non-shiny variant for each Pokemon, as long as the color palette is an obvious difference. If TwibobSparkpants123 wished to be Charizard, then AwesomeBoi42 would be allowed to be Shiny Charizard, for example. Alolan variants of Kanto Pokemon also count as separate entries. * You can move on from the event at any time. When you are done with the event and wish to move on, make another comment saying so, and you shall be removed from the list. Keep in mind that once you bow out of the event, the Pokemon you claimed will be open again for other people to take. * Try not to switch Pokemon after having claimed one, unless it's to grab something that just opened up, that you really want. If everyone changes thier entry constantly this thread will descend into chaos! As fun as that'd be, the boys in blue tell me unfiltered chaos is a no-go. At the bottom of this nonsensical rant is a list of all users officially submitted to this thread's reservoir of participating members. My dear friend @~C. Discord~ will be assisting me in running this thread, and should any other wayward staff find themselves up in the clouds with us, then they too are welcome to help out~ Some Pokemon Threads for your Influenced Suggestion: Official List of Participating Users *Most Definetly Not @Passion*: Poke'on, everypony~ Art by MistyEDash

  19. Simple as the title says. What Pokemon is the user above you? Base it on personality, looks, how they present themselves, etc. Example: Hey, MLPForums, I think you're most like Arceus because you're godly and all knowing and are the reason we're all here.
  20. DISCLAIMER: Poképon is a project I started like 2 years ago, as a mean to learn Java. Currently, it is in Alpha stage, which means it is playable, but it has some bugs and it lacks a lot of stuff. THE GAME The game itself is a Pokémon-like battle simulator, inspired by Pokémon Showdown, with a client-server structure and multiplayer-only gameplay. Battling is done by connecting to a Poképon server and challenging other players with either a random team or a pre-built one. The game package contains the client, the teambuilder and the server - which means you can not only connect to the official Poképon server, but also host your own on your computer. DOWNLOADING AND PLAYING In order to play, you need to have Java 1.7 or later. If you don't have it, you can download it for free here. The latest version of Poképon can be downloaded from here. Since the game is under development, the latest build changes quite frequently, but it's quite rare that a release breaks the previous one, so you shouldn't be concerned with always having the most updated one: every time I publish a release which forces you to update the game, I publish a post on the home page. The game hasn't a built-in updater, so you need to download the full game each time, but this is not so bad, as it's like 15MB in size. Poképon runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, BSD and anything which can run Java. To start the game, you can follow the instructions on this page. Usually you just have to double-click the downloaded Jar file. A launcher will open: to connect to a server, you need to select Client and insert the server IP and port (you can usually leave the port to its default value 12344). The official Poképon server is , port 12344. (You can connect to it by inserting as the server IP in the Client prompt window) Then, basically follow the instructions on the paged linked before ( NOTES Poképon is free software: you can get the source code here, fork the repository, make your own changes (as long as you keep it free software - see the LICENSE file) etc. OFFICIAL SITE All the news, info and stuff about Poképon can be found on There are a typechart and a ponydex too, so you can easily find info about a pony, a move and so on. CONTRIBUTING Since this is a quite big project, any contribution is much appreciated. This means mostly: contribute with art (background music, game sprites, logos, and so on) contribute with code (fix bugs, suggest new features, etc - for all these things, please use GitHub's pull requests and issues) bug reporting (the client has a "open debug window" option; I suggest always checking it, so if the game crashes you can send me a stack trace - usually the most recent lines in the debug window are enough) suggest builds (moves and abilities) for ponies which lack them: many ponies currently have a very poor movepool, so if you want you can invent new moves/abilities and ask me to implement them!
  21. So since Pokemon Black2 & White2 are coming out very soon in North America. I'm curious to ask which Pokemon game is your favorite, also to add which Pokemon is your favorite. I'v played every game at some point or another, but for me i'd say Diamond & Pearl were my personal favorite, the storyline and game was just so different it was awesome. I also always have a hard time choosing my favorite Pokemon.. it's always between Chansey, Scizor, and Darkrai! What say you everypony?
  22. Which legendary Pokemon are your favorite? My favorites: - Articuno - Lugia - Entei - Latios - Groudon - Rayquaza - Dialga - Zekrom - Xerneas New legendary for Pokemon Sun:
  23. As I'm going through my new version of Moon, I started wondering if anyone else got as heavily emotionally invested in Pokemon as I have & do. Heh, gotten to a point where each of them have their own personalities and minor backstories to them. Do any of you have Pokemon teams you still fondly remember? From several different games, here are the teams of one Glitch Ohms, A.K.A "Widdershins": From Black version we have Team Oblivious: Schmo & Slomo, the Slo silbings. A male Slowbro & a female Slowking. One being the dim-witted but laid back surfer dude type, and his sister a hyper intelligent, but adorably shy worrywart. Misery, a brawler, a female Zweillious, and an all-out abusive Tsundere Pain, a male Hydreigon and, unusual for his species, the calmest & most level-headed of the group (and also the reluctant love interest between Slomo & Misery) Hunter, the shiny male Dodrio. Athletic but a massive troll & jerk. And Hodgepodge the nerdy & paranoid Girafarig From the Kalos region we had Team Hope: Lead by Spark the Delphox, self-appointed leader and obscenely vain and the clear spoiled favorite of his trainer. Speaks fluent english due to his psychic typing and likes to sip tea as posh as possible. Bastet the female pyroar. Blatant carnivore, keeps mistaking opponents & even her trainer as meat. Tantrum the Tyrantum. A big softy & a gentle giant, but never grew into his evolved size. Which makes feeding time a frightening prospect as his mouth is bigger than his trainer's body & he's never been that good at aiming. Gyro the Heliolisk, spastic, twitchy, and greatly impatient. Yami the Mawile. Knows she's cute, but keeps a flat affect and emotions. Is the "straight man" of the team. Though she has caught on to more then half the teams hobbies of using their trainer as a chew toy, but don't worry, he's quickly learned to have tougher skin and a faster sprinting speed. And finally, last and smallest! Squee the Pumpkaboo! Small & impish for her size and an excellent pickpocket! And now, he's come to the Alolalalugh Region!(I'll never be able to pronounce that...)Team Triangle: Popi the Brionne! Reserved but energetic & loves to put on a show. Can often be found hanging off the back of her trainers neck like a frilly & wiggly little backpack. Eclipse the Rockruff. She's competitive & defensive and tends to get jealous easily of the other teammates. Clod Hopper the Mudbray. Largest of the team & laid back, and a stoic colt to the point of being an impenetrable blockhead. Bouncee the Bounsweet (or whatever their line is called) Friendly and as showy as Popi, but can be a snotty little diva should the others tease her too much. Bweh the Salazz* Antagonistic, venomous & an absolute maneater. (Metaphorically of course) And Du'wah Da Beah* Spine-snappingly friendly, but a big, pink, outgoing oaf of a lunk of a goon. May eventually make a B team too, because I'm just enjoying this generation far too much! *Have not actually caught yet. Just so excited I already have them planned out!
  24. I'm talking metagaming. Do you do it? I don't particularly like the idea of metagaming, since I feel like its taking advantage of out-of-character knowledge--namely EVs, IVs, and breeding. I feel like it kind of takes the fun out of the game, too, if everyone has the same, perfect team. I've never played against anyone online for this reason, and because I'm afraid it'd just be a waste of time. I have a style of playing, and I don't think I'd stand a chance against graduates from Smogon academy. I'd like to know what you guys think, though. Am I in the minority here? Or do you agree with me? What's your opinion on meta-gaming in general?
  25. Odd title ahoy, BUT, this is something I have been wondering lately. I was playing Pokemon Yellow recently and I was going through the different Mons of the Poke in my Pokedex, listening to the various cries. It is rather cool hearing that strange, electronic sound and the different variations that they made. Yeah, I am talking about the actual in-game cries. Makes me wonder, what are YOUR favorite cries out of all of them in the Pokemon games? There are hundreds to choose from, so this will be neat to see. I can't exactly pick a favorite right now, but I have always been particularly fond of the cry from Steelix.
