ScarfaceOne posted a topic in Sugarcube CornerYeah, so I watched Ted 2 on Wednesday and it was awesome. But here's the thing, there was a segment where SPOILER ALERT: Donny works for Hasbro, and he and the boss of Hasbro plot to kidnap Ted, there were Equestria Girls and MLP. Later in the film, during the Comic Con, someone uses a Pinkie Pie Statue in the fight scene. I loled, but was wondering, is the film Mocking Bronies? In the first film, there is a Daytona cabinet in the bowling alley, it can't be mocking Daytona fans, but it's good to see a Retro video game cabinet in a film, I wish Daytona was still popular. Sega say that they finally realize they suck, And they say they will realize franchises, I hope this means a new Daytona game. Or at least a new Crazy Taxi Reboot. I heard that a Virtua Cop and Crazy Taxi movie is in the work. Also, I thought the film was some Product Placement ploy for Hasbro, yet it gives Hasbro a bad image as well. Are Hasbro actually Licencing Ted to make them look bad? Like I said, I really would like to talk about this, has anyone else seen Ted 2 recently? Oh, and sorry if I didn't put Spoiler Alert in the title.
Welcome to the Ted Talks Discussion Thread. For those of you who don't know, TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. They are short videos (5-20 minutes) about various interesting topics. Every few days I will post a new video for discussion. How often I post a new video will depend on how the discussion is going. The Rules: 1) Keep discussion civil. I want to spark discussion, which will naturally entail some disagreement. I want the discussions to be more open with different ideas being brought forward and discussed, which is why this is not in the Debate Pit, which tends to be more polar in nature. 2) No posting videos for discussion. If there is a video you want discussed, send me a PM and I will add it to a playlist. This is for the sake of organization and flow of discussion. I want there to be time to fully cover a topic before moving on 3) Keep the discussion relevant to the most recent video. I will try to allow enough time for everyone to have a good discussion, but it throws off the conversation if you randomly post something from a few videos ago. 3.5) If you're going to comment, watch the video. This probably goes without saying, but it seems silly to discuss a topic if you don't know what the topic is. I will likely keep a list on this post of videos that have already shown, that way we can avoid repeats. Here is the video for the first round of discussion, Well, I must say this video is very intense. I love how life as we know it is such a close call, the dice of the universe aligning as they did. All I can say is that this video merits a full viewing. Further comments to be posted later.
