  1. It may be hard to believe but you do need a Spoon to go through life. And sometimes there's no Spoon to speak of. But don't let that get you down because you'll never know when a Spoon will pop up! Show some love to dat Spoon, y'all! BTW - forks suck!
  2. Discuss all of your favourite songs or gigs and stuff by Muse here! I like them too
  3. I made a thread not too long ago expressing my gratitude towards MLP and how much I loved the show. Now I want to make a thread expressing how YOU like the show. How much do you like the show and how much of an impact did it make in your life?
  4. When you think about it the main flagship portion of any staff of any cartoon/animation/anime franchise are the animators/graphic designers. Yet the writers and voice actors get all the credit. I have a difficult time finding the names of the animators/graphic designers in the ending credits and even hard to find them on the net. Granted there are animators that also play writer at the same time... which comes to show that animating is harder than writing. Animation isn't easy work. But why aren't they getting the love they should be getting? Is celebrity status something they are just not suited for? Is it a racist thing because lots of Asians are in the animation department, that's the thing I really can't find the names of the animators that designed "animish" looking animated shows... I can find a studio or two but it's probably because credit is not given from international studios. This isn't just a race thing but it seems the same kind of treatment is given to Marvel illustrators. Stan Lee gets all the credit for absolutely nothing but the illustrators that work also as writers are snubbed and some of them have to fight real hard to get noticed or at least co-author recognition like the case of Steve Ditko who is the real creator of Spiderman and the comics.
  5. Welcome to the Internet Weirdness Appreciation Thread! The Internet is weird. Really weird. And occasionally pretty disgusting. But it's usually weird, but a good kind of weird. Not a " " weird, but a " " weird, kno what I'm sayin'? So let this thread to be celebrate, research, and spread knowledge of this wondrously weird realm we live in.
  6. So... Applejack! I love her character mostly for being so strong and dependable and I wish I'd be more liker her. She was a great motivation for me, when I went through a depression. I started to watch MLP a short while after my sickness started and it really helped me to forget about all of my worries. You know, it was something to distract myself from everything else. Heaven knows how much I needed it. Applejack caught my attention immediately, maybe because she was the bearer of the Element of Honesty. Nowadays it's hard to be honest. I know, what I'm saying, because I'm quite a good liar and I spent years pretending that everything is alright. I was also betrayed by someone very close to me. My friend lied to me for more than a year and her only explanation in the end was something like "I didn't want to hurt your feelings". Because, you know, pleasant lie won't hurt me as much as brutal truth. All of these experiences were painful, of course, but thanks to them I learned just how importart it is to be sincere. Not only when it comes to communication with other people, but also with yourself. For years I was hiding who I really am. It isn't really important now why or how, but I did. And I'm not proud of it. Applejack is representation of everything I ever wanted to be. She's strong, both physically and mentally. She's always ready to sacrifice for her friends and would never leave them. She shows that simple things, like family and passion can make you happy. You don't need to have a big goal in your life, because you can find happiness in something seemingly little. It's something what I really appreciate about her, maybe because we don't often see characters like that. Usually it's all about big goals and dreams, revenge, destroyed childhood, romance, etc. It's what used to make the character good. But Applejack's biggest strenght is fact that she doesn't need it. She knows how to enjoy the little things. For me, it was always very hard. People in general have a tendency to complain about... well, everything. Especially in my country. It's some kind of a hobby for many people here But Applejack? She's a negation of this and I love it. Actually, I believe It's the reason enough to love her. I always wanted to be an artist. It's part of me - I live to create. Honestly, I'm more like Rarity, when it comes to things like that. But Applejack helped me to learn one thing: even if I won't become the artist I can still be happy. I don't need to be succesful, even if I'd like to. Who knows what future is going to bring? I want people to know my name and my art, but in the end it isn't as important as family, friends and simple happiness coming from doing what I love. Besides, I always saw my passions as a little wierd. Applejack is the kind of character, which shows that you can be even just a simple farmer - if it makes you happy, then it's alright. You shouldn't be ashamed of who you are. You should think about yourself and people close to you and do everything in your power to make your dreams come true, no matter what others think. It's not about them. In the end only your happiness really matters. Honestly, Applejack is much more valuable than many fans give her credit for. People just need to give her a chance. That's all it takes.
  7. I wanted to dedicate this thread to YOU. You people are awesome. When I registered at Equestria Forever, I knew it was a fairly big forum and I was working my reputation higher there, but lately I felt the magic was gone so I just left (not without goodbye's though!) and registered here. And I have to say, I absolutely LOVE this site! It is so much more active I can hardly keep up with the action. On that forum it was basically possible to stay with the activity stream but here it is impossible. The people here are nice, too. Of course I'm not saying people were horrible on that site (I gotta give probs for the site for offering me so many nice friends for my loneliness), but at times there was a lot of drama. Even if it happened here, it could be pretty minor as the activity level is high, it would just sink in. I've been friendless for pretty much my whole life, and seeing as I'm unable to get friends easily in real life, internet is my comfort and particularly this forum (and EqF). I've made so many friends I'd gladly share time with... And when I shared my art there, people hardly noticed it, of course, with clearly less people and activity, but here, only here do I understand how much people appreciate my work! I've been here for only a bit longer than a week and I already have plenty of brohoofs! My art thread was also marked "popular" shortly after, which was unexpected for me. And now that I received feedback, some people said they would even PAY for my work, which was even more unexpected, leaving me speechless. How could I, the unknown hobbyist receive so much feedback so easily? All thanks go for this site. Sure, there are a lot better artists out there but this is just the change I needed. During my time in EqF I felt a bit depressed and annoyed at multiple times, to say the least, and now that I left the site, I feel much more lightier and happier, like as if a heavy load was removed from my shoulders. I don't know for sure, but it might be the site itself caused the pain, and now that I left, I'm much more happier. This also makes it easier to be here. Like I noted above, the people here are very kind. This is probably the first forum I actually enjoy my time on (although this site is obviously optimized for down to 13 year olds, forcing a good atmosphere). But still, I have absolutely NO idea what awaits me on this site. Being a casual art hobbyist and a lazy gamer I'm hardly noticed anywhere, or paid attention on. Here, on this very site, all kinds of opinions and feedback arise. I like that. I want to say it one more time, thank you. Thanks for this awesome site and keep it up! Let's make friends, not war!
  8. Here is some of the absolutely fantastic art that artists have drawn of my OC over time. I hope you enjoy! I appreciate all of this wonderful art, and hope to continue expanding on this collection as time goes by! Thank You Guys!

I want to start this entry off by thanking this community. You see, I had a bad childhood and grew up with depression and low self-esteem. I was never liked and had no friends just because of the way I look and because people generally didn't like me. Deciding to join up with this community changed my outlook on my life. Not by much, but enough to help me get by. I thank you guys for putting up with me and my problems. I would also like to give a very special shout out to my closest friend, Mandalore Dash. If it wasn't for him, I would have never known about this place. Thank you so much, buddy! Now, as much as I like thanking you guys. I must also apologize. I know I get annoying to deal with and am generally not cool in the slightest when compared to the rest of you. For that, I'm sorry. With that out of the way, I will finish this up by saying this. MLP Forums is the best community I have ever been a part of, and that's no lie. I will continue to be a member of this marvelous place for times to come. I will most likely blog more in the future. As soon as I have something worth blogging about.
  10. Despite a few bumps along the way, I just can't get over this feeling of elation. This site is amazing, the people behind it are amazing, the admins and mods really care and are great at what they do, and it all make me very, very happy. Annnd... that's why I made this blog post. To say that I'm so happy that I can't even put it to words right now. How strange. What an interesting TV show.
