  1. How do you celebrate after you have won a game, or an event? It can be any way, or involve anything. I usually start thinking of the scene in Spongebob where they sing "Sweet Victory". That song suits any win. "Now, let's make Squidward proud."
  2. I recommend opening a new tab and listening to this song while you read. Its one of my favourite classic Brony songs, and evokes a strong nostalgic feeling. Hello, everyone! On this day, all the way back in 2014, I decided to give My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic another chance after realizing I liked Twilight Sparkle and found that I actually enjoyed the show quite a bit. Back then, I was way less mature, more shy and still went to high school. My first time in the fandom was mainly spent listening to Brony music from this playlist on YouTube, as well as watching some videos from the YouTube Brony community. I had some interactions with members of the community as well, but, it was from the comment section on YouTube, so you can kinda guess how that would have turned out, yeah, I kinda embarrassed myself a little there but its all good now! Later that year, I decided to search Google for some communities related to this newfound obsession of mine, and found a few sites that seemed interesting, such as What is a Brony?, Equestria Daily, Bronyland and MLP Forums. Some places I visited didn't have a proper community of their own, or they were more like news websites for the fandom and didn't really seem all that appealing to me and if they did have a community, I didn't really know about it (as was the case with Bronyland and EqD). I created my account here on June 30th, 2014 shortly after browsing the website for a bit and finding that I liked the community here and wanted to start being more involved with the fandom outside of YouTube. I was a little nervous, but, I eventually (cringe warning) made my first post. Back then, I was known as shoyrumaster11, and as you read my first post, you may have noticed that most of my exposure to the fandom came from watching so-called "anti-Brony" videos and trying to figure out how anyone could be so triggered by a simple cartoon on TV. For a good portion of my time in the fandom, I spent it here on MLP Forums, occasionally making posts and sometimes actually interacting with the community and eventually, I wanted to branch out a little more and tried to find some meetups nearby, as well as a more local fan site but unfortunately, my parents didn't want me to be in any meetups back then due to concerns for my safety. My friend @Frequency Wavelength introduced me to Bronies Australia, a more local website which unfortunately wasn't very active, but it was great to know that this wasn't only some weird thing that Americans do a lot. After a while, I did also start to decline interest in this website due to some drama with the staff that was going on at the time and made a blog post last year explaining why I left the site. At the time, I was mainly a part of Equestria Daily's Morning and Nightly discussions and a regular on PonyTown, where I met a certain special someone... Through the years, I have made many friends and, at a very slow pace, learned to be more confident in myself and to try to enjoy my life a little more and be grateful for what I have. I'm still learning even today, but, I'm thankful for everyone in my life who has helped along the way, including those I met via the fandom and its presence on the web, and in this section, I just wanted to say thank you to some people I met through the fandom who are special to me, including those who are not on this website. @Jade Fire, I wanted to say thank you for being among the people to welcome me back on to this website when I decided to come back, and always being very friendly and understanding, even through tough times. I always enjoy talking to you and at times, a part of me does wish we could be friends outside of the internet, I consider you one of my best friends and I'm very grateful to have met you and to be so close to you. @PuddingPonyPal, you don't seem to come here very often, but if you ever read this, I just wanted to say thank you for welcoming me back on the website late last year. You have inspired me to try to be more creative with my art and fiction and you are very much a close friend to me. Minty Root, I remember you from back in the days when I was on EqD's discussions. I consider you one of my main inspirations for my (currently in the works) YouTube channel and I actually used to enjoy chatting with you on EqD. I am a part of your Discord server now, and as of writing this, I'm kind of wondering why we don't chat more? @SparklingSwirls, I really enjoy chatting with you and being your friend, and since chatting with you about it on Discord, you're also one of those people I want to meet at some point in real life, I actually really enjoy it when you be silly and you have helped me out of my depression, and we both seem to share a lot in common. Whenever I need someone to talk to, or just want to say hi, you are the first person I talk to. @StrawCherry, I feel like we are really good friends and, despite your being busy all the time, I kinda see you as the sister I never had. I enjoy your passion towards art and technology and I encourage you to continue doing that! Grazin, I really do mean it when I say that I enjoy being your friend. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone, and I always have fun on your Discord server. You are very kind and I think you are stronger than you realize. I know you've been through a lot and might have had a rough past, but I just wanted to say that you shouldn't let it define who you are, I think the fact that I enjoy my friendship with you to the point where I have considered inviting people to your Discord server, so they can meet you says a lot, I might not be on Equestria Daily any more, but you are among the people I met from there who I still enjoy being around. Enigma, you are a very cool guy and I actually really enjoy seeing your passion towards music. I consider myself lucky for having met you and I wish we chatted a little more. @Frequency Wavelength, thank you for introducing me to the Aussie side of this fandom. It really helps me to know that I can share my interests with people much closer to home. You are a very cool and very friendly guy, and I think we would be great friends SGB, we only really met when I joined Grazin's server, but, I've always thought you were very kind and friendly. I think we should chat more ^^ @Battenberg, we've only just started chatting recently, but, I think you are a good friend so far, so thank you for letting me be your friend. @Valencia, you are a very kind individual and I just wanted to say thank you for being there for me when I needed it and for being a good friend and a good person in general. I hope everything is going very well for you. Mountain Dreams, we don't chat as often as we used to, but I've always enjoyed being your friend and I enjoy talking about the latest MLP episodes with you and I think you are a very good friend. @Totally Lyra, you're my favourite moderator on this website and I have fun reading posts from you and being your friend. Also, Lyra is still the best pony! Raven... I have a lot to say about you and I'm not even sure where to begin... My long distance relationship with you meant a lot to me and I do still miss you quite a lot, I remember that we met on New Years Eve in 2016 and I really enjoyed talking to you and to this day, there is something about you that I still love. Not sure if it was your kindness, your friendly attitude, your love of music, the fact that you are a fun lady to be with or anything else, but, there is something about you I love and I cherish all the time we've spent together and miss you greatly. You have shown me what true love is like and I never expected to meet you at all. I know things weren't always the best between us and that a lot of mistakes were made, but, I always thought it was still worth being with you because you at least tried to do what you could to make things work out. I wish we had more time to chat with each other because I genuinely enjoy your presence and words cannot even begin to describe how I feel about you as a person. The thing is, I don't even feel like your absence was entirely your fault, though its still something that should have been talked about, and I'm sorry for not having the courage to just simply talk out my problems. The fact that I still think about you and the fact that I still miss you must mean something. I love you, Raven and truth be told, if you ever come back, I'd want to give this another chance and see if we were really meant to be... A lot has changed since we last met and I'm more confident than ever and I'm ready to be in a relationship this time, and I'm ready to put in the extra effort for you. The thing is, you are unlike anybody I've ever met in my life and words will never be enough to describe how I feel about you... Thank you for everything, Raven. I genuinely mean it when I tell you I love you, and I hope we meet again soon and maybe work things out... To some, Bronies might be seen as some "fad" in popular culture, but, with all the experiences I've had and all the wonderful people I've met in this fandom, I think it is so much more than that. We are very much a community as well as family and even though I've still got a lot to work on, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone in the fandom for helping me to grow and become more confident and enjoy life a little more. I think there is something special about this community of like-minded individuals and even though we do go through a lot of difficult times, we always come back stronger than before, I never expected that a community based around a popular show would mean so much to me, but, evidently it does, and I am very thankful for that. I may not enjoy the show itself as much as I used to, but I still do enjoy being part of this community and I promise that it will always have a special place in my heart and I'm proud to be a Brony and even more proud to have met all my friends from across the fandom, I think that even by the time life gets too busy for me and I cannot actively be in any geeky community, I will still have lots of fond memories of my time as a Brony and I promise I'll pass all the lessons I've learned on to my possible son's and daughter's in the future and I might even show them some episodes of MLP. Thank you, everyone. -Nightfall Gloam.
  3. Hello everypony! I was wondering if any bronies out there are aware of today's religious holiday. In the past few days we've had Canada Day, then Independence Day. Now today we have Eid ul-Fitr. Heck, "Eid Mubarak" is among the top 5 hottest trends on Twitter today!! Also, any Muslim bronies out there? If so, Eid Mubarak to you!
  4. I hope you're having a great day off, and a safe weekend! Party Hardy!
  5. I think it is overrated in some aspects, especially when people decorate everything a month and a half prior to the actual day. Sheesh If you think likewise or have different reasons as to why you feel Christmastide is overwhelming for you, feel free to share.
  6. Thank you everypony, for making this happen... The music Mighty Punk Force! Daft Collision is now SO popular... It has ADVERTISEMENTS! I would like to say... THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! And I am making this topic a celebration Thread! You guys are the best! Mighty Switch Force, and MLP of course, means a lot to me. And I at least want it to be as popular as Metroid and Legend of Zelda. You are all great friends, and I really mean it! I am so happy... I CAN EXPLODE INTO CANDY! Sorry... I'm just so glad I can't seem to explain it properly. And I'm pretty sure Wayforward is happy as well. All though, did not create this video. So give all the credit to the fellow chap who made this. I just love love the music and possibly... just possibly... Wayforward can get the props they need. So let's celebrate in the comments! Thank you, for making this happen! Sincerely, Maud Pie Rocker the Great.
  7. I feel there is one forum/topic/whatever missing: The Celebration Forum! There you would be able to make a topic when you have something to celebrate, either related to the forum (100th, 1000th, 10000th post or brohoof, membership-anniversary, winning a contest or something), and related to RL, but this in a sub-forum. What do you think about such a Forum?
  8. Celestia has the summer sun celebration, taking place on the longest day of the year, the summer solstice. By extension, do you think Luna has her own winter moon celebration, taking place during the winter solstice, the longest night of the year? What do you think happens during that event? Do you think the show will ever address this?
  9. Image Source For those of you still in 2013 and looking for a place to bring in the new year, look no further! We're kicking off 2014 with a live stream of the New York City ball drop, and then, if anyone wants to stick around afterwards, we'll be showing pony videos by request. So grab some snacks, pull up a chair, and join in the celebration with your fellow bronies! Equestria.TV
  10. Hello and welcome all to Pinkie's Party Thread! This thread will help all you bronys out there pull out your inner Pinkie Pie! If you were Pinkie and given the task to plan the best party in all of Equestria (other than the Grand Galloping Gala of course) what would you do? What would the theme be? What would the decorations look like? Who would attend? What about the music? Old or new styles, or perhaps both? What should people wear? I'm interested to hear all your thoughts on the best party idea! Of course pony themes are welcome, but let's try to be creative and think of all sorts of things, even without being pony-related. "WE PONIES WANT TO PAAARTAAAYYY"
  11. Anypony here going to be doing something special for the S4 premiere? Throwing any parties, Ordering any fancy food, Crackling open the wine, joining the chat rooms, going on a pony merch shopping spree, etc? Could even be as simple as having some friends over and sharing some pizza during the premiere. Unfortunately I wont get to watch it live since my shift starts the same time as the episode, but once I get back, a few friends and I will be having a viewing party, breaking out some sparkling grape juice (the fancy stuff), and drink it out of some MLP party cups. What will you all be doing?
  12. So it was two years ago now that the great website we all call home was created. Or well, maybe not all of us call this place home, but some people do like me, and well I do believe it is about time I said happy birthday and thank you to it. So if you will stick with me, I am going to tell a small tale, about how a guy known as Aaron, or more commonly, Pinkie D Pie, came to a website known as MLPforums and had a grand old time, and finally broke there shell and made some friends. So it was a little over a year ago, or more accurately, nearly a year and a half ago, that a guy buy the name of BlogBlogLast all over the internet was reading though an issue of Gameinformer magazine. They mentioned a term known as Brony, a term this kid had never heard of. He laughed at the though of males liking MLP and went along on his happy way. Now fast forward a few months and the kid now needing something to do. So what could he do but research this term known as Brony, and find out more about it. So it was one faithful night in the dark of his room, a few days before school started for after Winter break, that this kid known as BlogBlogLast watched the first episode of MLP:FIM and fell in love. It was months later before he would finish watching the first and second season, and a month after that before he would find a website known as MLPforums and make an account known as Pinkie_D_Pie. When he first joined these forums, he did not go out of his way to make friends. He simply posted in random topics, and looked around at all the bright shiny things he had seen before. You see this kid was quite shy, and the one time he had ever known a home on the internet was on a website known as, there forums, or at least the RP section of that forums. So it was only a few days into this kids days of fourming that this kid found a topic known as the Last Poster Wins thread. He posted there, and posted there. It was during the summer of 2012 that this kid would meet his best friend, thanks to the forums. It was during the summer of 2013 that this kid would meet one of the most epic people here on the forums. He made other friends, but he never really stuck to them or messaged them, which is something he has regretted for a long time. Ehh, I don't know where I'm really getting at now, so I guess this is the end of that story. Basically what I am saying is that if you ever were trying to be my friend and I just sort of ignored you, I'm sorry. Okay, now that that is over, let me go ahead and thank everyone on the forums for being epic. Personally, I love everyone here, but the two people in the story are two people I have to mention. The first is a guy known as @kappa214, or to me as Doom2053. This guy is epic, and that's probably the smallest word I could use to describe him. It didn't take long for him to become like my best friend ever, even though we live so far apart. I know people say you can't have true friends on the internet, but I beg to differ, because he is probably my best friend, ever. So it was during the summer of 2012 that we met, and well, I may not remember the exact way we met, I think it had something to do with RPlaying and Steam, but I may be wrong, but anyways we met and quickly, as least to my knowledge became really good friends. Ehh, I'm going on again, but I just want to say thank you for being a great friend. The second person who I am going to mention is . One of the most epic people on the forums, and another person who I consider to be one of my best friends. We met during a RP. I think she messaged me after I changed my profile pic, and then what do you know, we quickly began a conversation, and soon I had another friend on the forums. Even now, I get so happy whenever I see another message because I know that there is someone to talk to. The other thing is that I never message anybody, like ever, so thank you for messaging me first! There are a ton more people out there that deserve to be mentioned, but so many of them changed there name that I know longer know them. A few things I do need to mention however are two topics, the Last Poster Wins Thread, and the General Chat Thread. The Last Poster Wins thread is my home within a home. It's my favorite place to be on the forums, because I know there are so many awesome people there. So this is just a big hello and thank you to everyone around that part of the forums. The General Chat Thread I did not discover for awhile. Or well I knew about it and posted small posts there from time to time, but never made to many things. It all changed when I really started posting there, and discovered just how epic everyone is there. I don't know who is left to see this, but if we ever talked on the GCT then thank you. Oh and just because, this is what the GCT did to me... *facepalm* Anyways, that is about all I have to say, but let me go ahead and thank everyone on the forums, not just the two I mentioned, but everyone, because all of you are awesome. Anyways, see you around the forums, possible in the Last Poster Wins theard.(Where your never going to beat me!) -Pinkie D Pie(Previously: TGAP Trixie Sparkle, Luna Sparkle, DJ-DASH3, Shadow Stalker, TGAP Babs Seed!) Maybe one of you remember me as one of these!
  13. Well, you might have heard, you might not have heard that I was planning on leaving the forums. These plans however, have changed. At the urging of several friends I have decided to stay on the forums for the time being. Their kindness and understanding was the driving force behind my decision to remain here, and I owe them my gratitude. Why did I say I was leaving? At the time of writing that blog post I did in fact legitimately want to and had been in the process of doing so, however, once I had actually stopped using the forums, it took no more than the support of our fellow users for me to see how much I would be losing by leaving. Coming back was no easy decision, I had to spend plenty of time thinking about it. But I was hard pressed to leave with so many users who legitimately cared about me and the things I do and say. This of course means I've reversed my prior decision to cancel all my current writing projects, and I shall resume working on them immediately, so that's good news, is it not? That should be wonderful news for those who are waiting for me to finish Harmonic's Equestrian Adventures 2, this should come as a sigh of relief for you to know that this project has not been abandoned. I'm going to go ahead and give a shout-out here to some of the awesome people who helped me out, although this by no means encompasses everybody who helped: -SCS -Dawn Rider -Nascarfan160 -Red -Artemis -Those who commented on my status about leaving, your kind words really helped. -Anybody else who contacted me by Skype There were many more who's kind words have swayed me, but overall I'd just like to thank everybody on the forums for being there for me. You've all been very kind. On the subject of the death threats, I have for the most part taken care of this issue, which I couldn't have done alone, so I'd like to thank everybody for their assistance on this personal matter. I don't think I would have decided to come back were the issue not solved in a professional and reasonable manner. For those who helped me resolve this issue, you know who you are, and you have my thanks. Resolving this issue largely put away a lot of the stress that was compelling me to leave, and that has definitely helped me This forum's community is strong and overwhelmingly I felt like I am truly cared about by it's members, and I don't think that's a bond that should be broken. I love you guys. We're like a family, there are bonds in this community that simply cannot be broken, by way of disinterest, death threats, or otherwise, I have decided that standing my ground and staying here is both the right thing to do and the ultimate way to spite those who have been threatening and demeaning me. While many people have called me out for having flaws, I would like to say that many have opened my eyes to the fact that we all do, and that not letting these flaws define us or hold us back is the right way to go about things. Just know that if you legitimately cared about me leaving, you are part of the reason I decided to stay. Thank you for your time, and have a nice day. /)
  14. Ok, so, everyone knows about the more famous holidays. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentine's Day, things like that. But did you know that, for almost every day, week, or month, somebody has created random other holidays for people to enjoy in lieu of the holidays we all wait on? Like "No-Shave November," in which dudes like the ones on here leave their facial hair alone for the entire month of November. Or "Feld0 Day," where we all do different things dedicated to Feld0. So, I'm asking you, fellow MLP Forumers, which random little holidays have you learned about? Share them with everyone and tell us how you go about celebrating them.
