  1. Hello everypony! It turns out Game 163 was enforced not one but twice this regular season in order to determine what teams would be in the National League Wild Card championship game. But now we have our answer. The Chicago Cubs will host the Colorado Rockies 5 PM Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday at Wrigley Field. The winner moves on to face the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLDS, who have accomplished the National League's best record. The loser goes home. The Rockies have not named a starter yet. Their last appearance in the postseason was in last years NL Wildcard game against Arizona where they took a loss. The Cubs starter will be Jon Lester. Who are you supporting in this one game playoff to face Milwaukee?
  2. Hey everypony. I'm still not fully recovered from the Dodgers NLCS loss, but I still thought I'd ask, who is everypony rooting for in the World Series. This year its the Chicago Cubs VS the Cleveland Indians. The series starts at 7 PM Central time on Tuesday October 25th on FOX.
  3. You heard it here folks. A con in the Chicago area was announced a few days ago. Bronies in the Chicago area come one come all to it. Even if you can still fly out, still come one come all!
  4. I've probably said this before but I'll say it again: I'm not too big on sports. I don't completely ignore sports but the only sport I find interesting to watch is hockey and maybe basketball. I'll tune into the Super Bowl, but that's it and it's mainly for commercials. The others I don't give a crap about. However, if there's one thing I know about sports it's one thing: Chicago is not known for its sports teams. I'm not saying Chicago sports teams are bad, but there's just not a lot of them that are really good. I mean, I'll just say that our best team is our hockey team, the Blackhawks. They usually make it to playoffs every year, and can either get very far or win. They won twice in recent years, and have gotten close in the others. Now since I talked about the best Chicago team, I might as well talk about the others in order of how I'd rank them. Next, we've got the Bulls. They are the Basketball team who at one point in life were really good. More specifically, when they had Micheal Jordan. I mean, he was such a big icon at the time that he even got his own movie with the Looney Tunes. But after he retired, they went downhill. They basically turned into an average at best team who can make playoffs but not get as far. Then, there's the White Sox, one of the two baseball teams. They haven't really done too much impressive in recent besides one World Series win 10 years ago. They're basically a middle of the road team who can play, but don't expect anything impressive out of them. But hey, at least they're better than Chicago's other baseball team. The football team, the Bears is next. Uh, they exist. Their last Super Bowl win was 1985, and they only qualified for it once in 2006 and they lost. I remember people at school the next day being very disappointed at that game. I go to school with Bears fans and trust me, they act kind of bitter when the Packers are mentioned since they tend to do better than them. Finally, the bottom of the barrel: The Cubs. Most baseball fans know them for being infamous for not winning a World Series in literally over 100 years. People make jokes about all the big events that have happened sine the Cubs last won. There are constant memes about how much they suck. Heck, I recently joked that Charlie Brown's baseball team could beat them. If there is one good thing I can say about them, it's that I heard they're actually doing decent this season. If they somehow win this year, then I can already see the Back to the Future jokes being made on how that movie predicted it correctly. So, theses are Chicago sports teams in a nutshell. You might wonder one thing. "If you say you don't care about sports, how do you have all this knowledge on these teams?" Well, when you have to go to school around sports fans, and live with sports fans, it's kind of hard not to know this stuff. And this blog will be ironic if any of the teams I mention with this year.
  5. Why is there no pony related con in Chicago? I am aware of Midwestria, but it been awhile since they had a con, why is that? If there was one in Chi I would try to go. (I've never been to a con before.)
  6. Hello again. This is the second leg of my flight sim world trip. This trip took about 12 hours (I had to chop it into 3 days by saving flights for later), and the dam thing crashed thrice when leaving ORD, most likely since I was flying over Midway, and the sim likes to crash when I fly over major airports :okiedokielokie:. As much as I would have liked to see virtual South America on the way to Buenos Aires, was kind of dark, up until an hour flying past the Andes. Bummah. Next leg is to Sao Paulo, not too far from here.
  7. All right, the reason I was off the forums was because I was at Chicago Comic Con all day and let me tell you, IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME! I don't have that many pictures since my phone died halfway through, so I'll post what I had First, I got this show accurate Pinkie plush. It's so adorable! My only problem with it is that it doesn't have a mouth, making it awkward from the front. Still adorable regardless. I also got this awesome Pinkie shirt (funny seeing as what it says). It's actually my first shirt that only has Pinkie on it. Matt Smith was at this con but we didn't even try to go see him. The line was WAY too long. You can see him in this picture if you look hard enough though. Here's just a taste of what the con looked like. You can see an Ash and Misty cosplay in there. Now, I'm gonna talk about who I met. I did manage to meet Stan Lee, creator of Spiderman. I even gave him a fist bump. I also got to meet Jason David Frank, AKA, Tommy from the original Power Rangers. He pretty cool in real life. He's great in conversations and at one point, he even went over from his booth and got his picture taken with some Halo cosplayers. He made me want to watch the original Power Rangers, and I was never even into it growing up. I met and shook hands with Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in Batman: the animated series. Nothing too interesting there. The best conversation I did have was with Evan Peters, AKA, Quick Silver. He looked at my Pinkie plush and said, "Hey, it's one of those ponies." and tried to remember what her name was until I eventually told him. That's right, Evan Peters mentioned ponies! Finally, I met Jennifer Blake, an artist on the Mlp comics. We just talked about ponies, couldn't really talk about the comics since I don't read the comics. Other various stuff there was the amount of amazing cosplayers. There is the aforementioned Halo cosplaers, I saw a good Storm Trooper one. I saw a lot of Doctor cosplays and Tardis ones. There were also several Ash cosplays and much more. The only thing I put on was a 10th Doctor trench coat so needless to say, I felt naked compared to everyone else. There was also all the amazing art for sale there. I didn't buy them, so I just looked at them and saw how impressive they were. There were even people selling their own comics, which all had really creative ideas. I could go on about it, but I think I'll stop here. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I had fun. Hope I can go to another con soon.
  8. Anypony going to Chicago Comic Con because I am? I'm just curious.
  9. Just curious if anyone is going. It's 4th of July weekend. I will be attending with my brother. We will be in artist alley, well, he will mostly. I will probly walk around a bit and check things out cause it will be my first anime convention. I will have some of my carved boxes there for sale. There will be a variety of types.
