  1. I love this game! I tried to search and see if a thread like this already exsists and I couldn't find it so here we go! Post your current Desktop Wallpaper! Or Phone wallpaper, whatever you feel like sharing! I don't particularly know if there's forum rules here for no nudity, but if you do have some form of nudity or NSFW content, please put it in spoilers with a disclaimer/warning please! Thank you and have fun! I'll go first!
  2. I originally posted this on the discussion area of the derpibooru forums, but I don't see myself getting replies anytime soon. Welp, it’s slowly coming time for me to consider a new computer build. My current computer is an awesome, strong freaking dinosaur of a build with an old i7-920, 6gigs of ram, a 1kw PSU, 5870 gpu (downgraded cause my 7970 went kaput), and a nice little 1TB HD. As said, it’s slowly coming time for me to consider a new build since my computer is showing its age and need an upgrade, due to all parts being from 2009. At this point, I’m so out of the PC parts game I feel like I don’t know what to do or where to go for info. I’ve researched new stuff, looked up specs, etc…, and, again, I just feel like I’m on info overload. I’d like to nail a 5930k, but they are going out fast, and, though the 8700k seems nice, the reviews about thermal issues ticks me off to no end, not to mention the limiting of the PCI-e lanes and memory channels. In terms of what I’d like to do with the system, I’d like to game @ 1080p (minimum), but I want to go beyond and into the 2k and 4k gaming stuff. Also, down the road, I’d like to use it for potential AI deep learning since I’m trying to get back into computer program, along with streaming/video making for gaming. In terms of a budget, I’ve saved up and can shell out around $3k, but can push it to $3.5k if need be, but that would have to include taxes, S&H, etc…. Here's what I'm thinking right now for a setup: Think about a 5930k or go with the 6800kchipset using this for a Motherboard. Going with the Thermaltake 900 series case (also tempted to build my own case into a new desk I'm wanting to build) I'm gonna go with 4 sticks of 8gig ram for 32gb ram total and a 1kw PSU. GPU wise, I'm torn since the Vegas look nice, on paper, but I'm tempted to go with a 1080ti Hybrid Nvidia card like this one here from EVGA. Anyways, up for suggestions and ideas for any parts. Right now I’m thinking a 5930k or go into the 6800k chipset with

  4. Now, I know I'm on hiatus, but I really wanted to get this one off my chest. Consider this entry as a bonus episode, mkay? I like to stay up to date on all things computers. Whether it be the announcement of the Nintendo NX, or the release of Intel's new 10-Core Processor line. It doesn't matter to me; knowing it's out there is good enough to satisfy my craving for faster Specs. Recently, I received the honor of watching the Apple Conference, who, presented their new iPhone 7. Do I have anything against the iPhone? Yes, actually I do. I despise Apple products and their company. Why? It's quite simple. People, this generation of brats, keep trying to find "slim" products to satisfy their fetish for more space in their pockets. In a way, computers today have become a market of companies who compete to create the slimmest laptop. Why do I have a problem with this? Because it destroys the market! We're turning otherwise great computers into potatoes! Wanna get a Chromebook? Sure thing! Hold on while I remove the fan so it can fit in your pants. Wanna buy a top-of-the-line gaming laptop with 4K compatibility? Sure thing! Lemme just remove the Disk Drive so you can't take advantage of any of it! See what I'm going at? Thin computers are okay, but do we really have to sacrifice performance and capability to make it so? What's the point of a 4K gaming laptop if you can't watch 4K movies, or use install disks? I know people rarely buy physical copies, but I'm the kind of person who likes to have a large collection of DVDs or Game Cases. Sure, I'll buy a couple of games on Steam, but what's the point if you can't have that hard plastic to prove you bought it? Why do I give Apple so much crap? Because the computer market today is evolving and Apple is just holding us back. As I mentioned above, Intel released a new processor that completely destroys the rest. 10 Terabyte hard drives are being developed and Nvidia released one of the most powerful GPUs to date, the "Titan X". With these in mind, Apple is no longer the top of the food-chain. They keep trying to reinvent the same old idea like it's some kind of Call of Duty formula. The world's trying to become more powerful in technology, and Apple isn't helping. Their OS, El Capitan, is crap compared to Win10, and even the critics say so (go on, check the stars rating). Their hardware is about as powerful as my Nintendo 64. Apple 4K? Psh, crap. For a price that trumps the rest, you don't get much. Why we still have Apple is a mystery to me. I'd choose Linux XFCE4 over Apple any day. -RealityPublishing (Yes, I'm working on Season Finale Part 2)
  5. A friend linked me to a site for good parts within a budget and apparently this is a good setup for beating out the ps4 and xbox one. I figure I will probably invest a little extra in cooling. Anyway here is the setup. CPU AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor $94.99 @ NCIX US Motherboard MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard $39.99 @ Micro Center Memory G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $45.99 @ Newegg Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $48.75 @ OutletPC Video Card Asus Radeon R9 270 2GB DirectCU II Video Card $134.99 @ NCIX US Case Thermaltake Versa H22 ATX Mid Tower Case $31.98 @ Newegg Power Supply EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply $49.99 @ NCIX US Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $496.68 Mail-in rebates -$50.00 Total $446.68 I figure after adding in cost for the OS, keyboard, and mouse it will total $500 Good?
  6. So I made a Wallpaper for a request in the Request thread Area in my shop and I loved how it turned out! So far, 31 favs in DA but I would love some feedback on it en here!
  7. I'm looking to start doing few art art tutorials on my PC, however I'm a bit dense on what program I should use to record my desktop. I need a free software, that is easy to use, easy to edit, and doesn't take up a shit ton of space. I tried Bandicam, and whenever it recorded, it completely trashed the colour and made it very fuzzy. My goal is to make my videos at least watchable enough that someone can understand what I'm trying to teach them without them getting fed up with the video. I'm not so into this project so much that I want to buy software since I'll only need to make a few videos. Some helpful advice on software and etc would be helpful. Thank you!

  14. As the title suggests... Show us your desktop! Here's mine: I know this has been done before... but I just really miss this thread, and I thought a revival was in order! Also. That's not a real PS3 Emulator. It's a joke i played on my friend. Ignore it.
  15. Woo more mediocrity from me. Since I love my new Pnysona so much, I have decided to share a couple of really simple desktop wallpapers that I made. Both are pretty simple but the first one is incredibly simplistic but that is because I made it in about a minute for myself. So here they are: Super Simple Turbo Wallpaper Turbocraft (Version 1) If I make more I will post them here. They aren't all too special and they may not even bee a good resolution but whtver. Hope you like them.
  16. Guess what device the post above you was sent from. Windows laptop?, Android tablet?, Ipod touch? etc Ready Go!...
  17. ^.^ Yay! Recently, I downloaded desktop ponies for linux, but there was the black square behind everypony and today I finally found a fix for it. Guess how am I going to spend the rest of the day ^.^' Btw for those who use Linux, here is a small guide how to get ponies on your desktop ^.^ (btw I tried it only on Lubuntu precise 64-bit, but it should work on all ubuntu like distros. Non Ubuntu users may need to compile it from source) 1) Download Qt ponies package here (aditional info can be found here) 2) Install the package (I simply just right click and select open with GDebi and then follow the instructions) 3) Run Qt ponies (from main menu in the games section) 4) If the ponies have black square behind them, it means you have desktpo effects turned off. (this is set by default in fallback mode) Fix for gnome users: a) Make sure you have gconf-editor installed (for example using synaptic package manager) b ) Run gconf-editor either from system tools menu or simply by typing gconf-editor in terminal. c) Go to /apps/metacity/general/ and make sure that compositing_manager and compositor_effects are checked. d) Now it should work ^.^ ^.^ They look so happy playing together!
  18. Just something I threw together quick. You can find the HD version for download here: as well as links to the original images. First time I've done something involving Sun-butt and Moon-butt, normally it's AJ or Trixie, and this is the first thing I've made that I thought others would enjoy. It's extremely simple, but it needed to be made once I found the original images and saw it wasn't done yet. So I hope y'all enjoy the fractal goodness! If anyone would like a different aspect ratio, just let me know and I'll see what I can do.
  19. Yeaaahhhh I guess you could say I get pretty bored sometimes
  20. I have had this computer for a few days now, and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the parts inside? I want to turn this computer into a gaming pc. ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. M11AD Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz 8GB RAM 64-bit Intel HD Graphics 4600 1TB 7200RPM HDD 300W PSU Windows 8 upgraded to 8.1 for free I thought to post it in a blog, since I already posted something in a thread, and I did not want to bring back a dead thread (if it is dead).
  21. Not sure if this is actually considered art by most people, but over the last two days I came up with this Desktop background. Please let me know if there are things you think I could improve upon.
  22. Here are a couple wallpapers I finished over the week.

  25. Hello once again folks, today I have something special to address your attention to! Nearly five months ago I made a Rainbow Dash desktop gadget clock and for some odd reason I decided to whip up another on but this time, I made the clock based on Fluttershy! The image was originally a vector I found on Google but I had to fix it up so it worked with the project, I re-made it so it didn't look as choppy when I sized it up. So all you Fluttershy fans out there will probably enjoy this here clock! The actual clock itself is 5500 x 5500 pixels, so it was a bit difficult to work with but it turned out quite nice, at least I think so. The arms are a bit out of sync but it's very difficult to keep them inline considering they aren't just sticks like the default ones! To show you a better and more detailed look at the clock, I have my display image for you to see: Well folks, tell me what you think!
