  1. Hey guys, so this was like a week old news but I have tried to search for these in almost all targets and none of the store have them in stock. Is this some sort of error? and has anyone spotted them at their target? I fear it might been a limited edition items or a pre-release item. what do you guys think?
  2. What do y'all think of this?
  3. So, here's something I've been working on for MONTHS! My custom resin-cast pony figurines! ٩(ˊᗜˋ)و Materials I use: ● polyurethane resin ● SuperSculpey polymer clay ● I hand-paint them with acrylics and cover them with acrylic varnish Figurine size: ● 13 cm (5.1") tall ● 8 cm (3.1") measured from the front hoof to the back hoof So, here comes the first one I made, Trixie! She is pretty much just a prototype, my resin-casting guinea pig. ♥ Hope you like her and don't mind all the minor mistakes I made. (◡‿◡✿) MORE PONIES TO COME!
  4. Pre-orders for Luna are open now! For all the information and available sets check out this link http://sentinel373.d...-Open-505908916 The base figure will be 200 USD but there is a cheaper and a slightly more expensive version availible. If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask. =====***update**===== The missing parts arrived today and i was finaly able to assemble the figure for the first time! There are still some issue's, some joints are too loose, and others are too weak. so some modification is required. but i managed to get her to stand on her own The next few days/weeks are going to be spent sanding and thickening the joints with putty. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I original modeled the figure (non pose able) nearly a year ago to the day. To see it finally completed and in my hands is so satisfying =====***Original**===== Hi guys, A few months ago i started on a 3d printed statue of Princess Luna. back then I pretty much finished the figure but i never got to the 3d print stage. circumstances back then also forced me to shelve the project for various reason. But i was still very proud of the model and i really wanted to do something cool with it. I think most agree that the hasbro toy's are somewhat lacking in the quality that would appeal to collectors and older fans. the closest we have to premium official merchandise are the funko models. But I've never liked the heads on those figures. so i've never ended up buying any of them. but i still want a really nice figure of best princess but i am a big fan of action figures, being an animator my desk is covered in them. So i figured why not turn that model into an action figure. fully articulated and of high quality. and so I started planning. The figure will stand around 25 cm tall or roughly 10 inches from hoof to horn. Once I 3d print the master I intend to cast it in resin so it is a bit stronger than 3d print plastic. This will also be the first time I have ever created a mold and casted something. So that will be an interesting experience which i would love to get advice on when i get to that stage. I started with the Base model i made several months ago. Base model: Next i'm Figuring out the articulation. The intent is to make it as pose able as possible without sacrificing the look of the model. I realize this is not always possible because breaking the model apart in order to add joints is kind of unavoidable but i'm going to try to hide it where ever possible. anyway here is what I have so far. Exploded view of the finished components Side view of the front leg Leg articulation: (Note the leg can also twist at the shoulder below the balljoint it can also twist in the middle part of the leg just above the knee. and it can twist at the foot) The neck can swivel at its base a full 360 degrees and also rotate forward 96 degrees and backwards 20 degrees. The head itself is on a ball joint. the angle in the picture is as far as the head can tilt back I'm considering putting the big part of the head hair on a hinge so it wont hinder the head much. But I also have to be careful that the hair doesn't become too heavy or else the head ball joint and the bottom neck joint might not be able to keep it upright Right now i'm working on the rear of the body Right now the way I've designed the chest joint is by holding the two halves in place with the use of a thick elastic band (its actually a hair scrunchy) however I've only designed the chest. the rear of the figure is still just an empty base model shell. As for the back not looking at the legs yet.I'm thinking the tail is going to be on a hinge joint to allow for up and down movement. This will allow it to act as a stand for when the figure is standing on its hind legs. and i need to start taking a look at the hip joint. these i suspect will be tough to design seeing as they will need to have a similar but more limited range of motion as the shoulder joints. but i don't want the figure to have massive gaps when the limbs are moved outward. I hope you'll enjoy my process as I continue with this project and if you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know. While I have experience making table top miniatures this is my first "action figure" with articulation.
  5. Hi, to go straight to the point, I am working on a story and I have just begun to introduce my two main characters (both girls). I describe their personality and there and their eyes, hairstyle, you know, the usual stuff. I then felt like, if I really want my readers to be able to get an image of how these main characters look, how can I really do that. So being a guy that is not in to fashion and pretty much dress however I choose to, I found it hard to describe a Women´s figures. I´ve done some research and come up with that many girls follow some kind of figure shape, like Hourglass shape or triangle shape, when they describe their body and choose clothes. But does all girls do this or is it a question about if your in to fashion or not. I think that, if I can use these shapes in my story it would be a great help but I don´t wan to end up with only, you know, just perfect examples of model girls. I want it to sound realistic but still it´s very good to have some kind of scheme to work after. Thanks for taking your time to read this and a symbolic brohoof to you if you reply /) (Oh and I tried to find the right part of the forum to post this but I´m not sure I managed to, so if any admins move it, Thank you on forehand)
  6. I was recently thinking about how it would be great to get some pony merchandise. But proceeded to think ... I do not really want anything big, and I certainly dont want to start collecting plushies (where would i put them all! . Posters can get rather expensive, then there is the issue of where to hang them. So the thought occurred to me ... pins and buttons! Then I proceeded to wonder ... are there any particularly good artists or button series anyone can recommend? The smaller ones that is, I am unsure of what I would do with the larger sizes ... P.S. I once saw some amazing necklaces and such of "Factions" such as the the combined solar and lunar empires, changeling, twilight, etc. I forgot the details ... but i recall it being a kickstarter a while back. Although I do not wear jewelry, I thought those would be nice to just own .. also We finally got a celly emote! Oooo~ *edit* Did they ever fix the Celestia funko? (aka the famous princess tipsy).I was just thinking I might buy all my favorite characters ... which hopefully wont end up an archive Too late! it happened XD The list being
  7. Hi I was hoping to get some help getting some more Discord merchandise. I have a mine key chain statue, the vinyl figure and the funko pop figure. But i'm having alot of trouble finding other things.
  8. So my freind sent me a picture of her oc's custom figurine and she said the wings are big because shes a fast pony. Is this true?
  9. I was wondering where people get the custom painted figures and stuff of there OC and other things? I know they're not official, but are there commision pages? I see pictures on EQD for custom compilations and I kinda like them so where can I go about getting one if I wanted to? I know most on there are made by the people who sent them in but... What is going on?
  10. I've just seen a pretty good looking Zecora figure but can't find views of it from different angles. It is supposedly part of the "Spa pony set" but could maybe be a blind bag also (I don't know.) If anyone has this figure, could you please post a few pictures from different angles. I especially want to see it from the front to see if the eyes are like 5 miles apart or not. As I've mentioned before I have very few figures because most look weird because the heads aren't quite right, which would bug me if I had them. (I'm picky, I know) Thanks in advance for your help.
  11. Hi! I'd like to know some recommendations for any Funko vinyl figures? I like aesthetics but I would also like a high quality one. I'm on a limited price range and I'd like some second opinion. Thanks!
  12. The elements of Harmony, can you think of historic figures in real life that are remembered in a way that represents an element of harmony? Ex. Loyalty, Hachiko is a dog remembered in japan for continuing to go to the place where it used to meet up with owner many years after their death. What can you come up with?
  13. For those of you who are curious about this term, Vacuum Metalization is a process where plastic surfaces are covered with a thin and shiny metal coating inside a vacuum chamber. The Beast Wars era of Transformers utilized figures that have Vacuum Metalized parts(Transmetal and Transmetal II). Recently, Vacuum Metalization has made a comeback with the new Age of Extinction line up(As a matter of fact, I just picked up the AoE set with Silver Knight Optimus Prime and Fall of Cybertron Grimlock, both with Vacuum Metalized parts.) If possible, would you purchase any My Little Pony toys that have been Vacuum Metalized(Perhaps variations of the Mane 6, or other characters like the Cutie Mark Crusaders, the Wonderbolts, DJ Pon-3, the Alicorn Princesses and even Derpy Hooves.)?
  14. I was at Barnes & Noble the other day and I saw a MLP Busy Book for about 10 dollars. It came with figures (12). The story is not very good but I bought the book for the figures. Has anyone else seen/bought this? With the figures on ebay going for up to 6 dollars each, I decided it was worth the price even if the figures aren't the blind bags ones everyone loves.
  15. I don't collect the figures myself, but this definitely merits a thread. Will be an exclusive at Toys'R'Us if anyone is curious. And it should be soon. But it seems like the creators are finally getting into the Brony culture :comeatus:
  16. Well I've known of the show for just over 3 months now and would like to get a figure to put on my desk. I've been having NO LUCK trying to find one that doesn't look "mutated", lol. I found someone on YouTube who was making 3D ponies and 3D printing them and they looked awesome! Of course Hasbro got rid of that. If only I knew about the show a couple years ago, I might have been able to get one. What pisses me off is that Hasbro just shuts stuff like that down. The modeling work is done, why not work something out with the person who did the modeling and license a company to produce them. I haven't seen any models that look show accurate from any angle like these do. Hasbro could definitely make good money from these. So what are your thoughts on the figures that are out there now? Does anyone know of any good figures that are accurate? Everything I've seen so far bugs me because they look dumb.
  17. I made a little Gummy out of Playdoh! I don't know where my camera's USB cord is so I took the pictures with my webcam! XD A close-up of his face. I should have made his snout longer XD! His side. It's very hard to smooth Playdoh. On my ottoman. Please ignore the ugly battery charger cord. Here he is atop a ring box to show his size. He's tiny!
  18. I noticed some of my ponies aren't looking there greatest no more XD and the weird thing is all they do is sit on a stand for show in my room, I don't play with them just collect. Would the best way is to just place the hair in warm water, brush it, place it the way you want and let dry? I don't want to get into cutting and changing the mane in anyway I just want the hair to look nice again and not in a huge frizz ball...
  19. Okay, so Jedi gave me a Doctor Whooves vinyl figurine as a Valentine/anniversary gift yesterday, but its tail broke! I tried fixing it back on with this "all-purpose" adhesive my stepdad gave me, but it wouldn't stay... Now I'm sad because I'm afraid my little sister is going to lose the tail (she is only two years old and doesn't understand the concept of "this is a look-at thing, not a toy," but I have to share a room with her, and she always gets my stuff and plays with it) if I don't find a good way to permanently fix it. D: Does anyone know of a way to permanently stick vinyl together that will dry relatively quickly and not make a mess? Where can I buy such an adhesive, and how much does it generally cost?
  20. Hi everyone, first time poster/reader here, My girlfriend loves MLP, and has (as many people have, I'm sure) come up with her own pony design, everything except the cutie mark so far. I was thinking it would be great to get her a custom MLP figure/model (FIM style) to her design, perhaps for her birthday early next year, but I don't know if it's possible or where to start. (I do notice the Commissions section here, but it looked more for artwork and other things rather than custom figures?) Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for anyone with literally no idea where to start? I'd appreciate any help anyone can give
  21. Just finished my second sculpture. By far, my favorite. Hope she's not too saucy. I know, I know, I forgot the horn. I'm stupid... Source:
  22. We've all seen those ads on Equestria Daily at the end of the Nightly Roundups. We all know that these ads open a window for us to see the boatloads of awesome merchandise made with the loving care of the creative fans in this community. We all want some of those things that they're selling. This sparks an interesting question. What do you, the consumers, like these creative fans to, well, create? When you're in the mood for some merchandise, what do you look for, be it plushies, custom figures, articles of clothing, and any other creations? I'm interested to read your responses.
  23. So, apparently Hasbro has already planned to release a figure of Twilight as an alicorn. It looks pretty accurate (besides the Cutie mark and wings)! I don't really mind this figure, it looks great. my problem though is that I recently read a post about a rumor about how Hasbro might be using Alicorn Twilight as a marketing scheme. So seeing this makes me a bit nervous, but I don't think that's the case. So, I think this looks like a very well-done figure! Looks nice, and I would buy it! At least, if I had enough, your thoughts? Opinions?
  24. I got the idea of drawing this after hearing Figure's new song and by seeing the album cover ^^ The song and album cover All I thought while hearing it is "Super Sonic Rainboom" So I made this: Tell me what you guys think
