  1. I’ve never done it, because I know how to control my temper while playing a video game. Plus, I hardly ever play online games, which are the most common rage quitted games!
  2. The GTA series is a very popular game series amongst gamers. There are quite a few games in the series. For those who like the series, what is your favorite? I personally like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I personally think the storyline is incredible in GTA SA.

    Gaming Worms!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtHEMV56lx4 I've been playing Worms games since I was 10 or 11, when my mother randomly picked up Worms 2 for a dollar at Toys R Us. It was the first online multiplayer game that I ever played, and I was addicted to it. I made it a goal of my life to introduce everyone I knew to this wonderful little series. The series has many sequels these days, of the 2D and 3D variety, and on consoles as well as PC. But for my money, there's no better way to play Worms than from a sideways perspective with a mouse and keyboard. The current 2D Worms PC title is "Worms Reloaded", which can be found on Steam for $19.99, and is well worth the price of admission for one of the most polished Worms games in recent times. If you don't have it yet, you really should look into it. It's a blast. And a new Worms game is looming on the horizon, Worms Revolution, which will not only be the first 2.5D Worms game, but is also the first game Worms creator Andy Davidson has worked on since the fan-favorite "Worms Armageddon" (not to be confused with the 2009 XBLA game Worms 2: Armageddon). I can't wait to get my hands on this game when it comes out in September. I'm a very rusty player, but if you ever wanna go against me on "Reloaded", my steam username is "legendary_emerald" on steam.
  4. A bit of a stupid topic, I know . People typically have a few games that they enjoy a lot, but I was curious if anyone had one which they enjoy so much, they would play it for the rest of their life. Would only being able to play one game get boring? Probably. But if there was only one that you could play for the rest of your life, what would it be? (You can include a compilation, if you want.) For me, I'd say Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64. That game was practically my childhood, so I have very fond memories of it. It may be the nostalgia, but I don't think I will ever get tired of that game - due to how fun it can be, despite it's issues.

Gaming What games do you play?

So I didn't find any thread like this so I made one. So idea is, What games do you play? List some games you play regularly. I made this because I'm interested in what kind of players forums have and maybe even get some gaming friends play games with. I personally... well I play Payday 2 and borderlands 2 most of the time but I also play: Payday: The Heist, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, Just Cause 2 multiplayer and some other games.
  6. So say if a video game rental store tries to make it in this digital age say for instance.....lets call it Armor Games Rental ! and for this idea to work you can rent the latest games for 7 days and for a late fee is 5$ on any system and the motto for the store will be , Got slow internet ? Dont have the time to wait for a big download ? well come to Armor Games rental store ! , all the latest games you can rent when they are available ! so my question is would it work in 2018 in rural areas ?
  7. N64 is my favorite system of all time and carries what me and many others consider to be some of the greatest games of all time. What are your favorite N64 games? My favorite game EVER is LoZ Majoras Mask without a doubt, i also love SM64, Banjo-Kazooie, and Paper Mario. I love many others but those are probably the absolute best IMO

Gaming Your Favorite Team Fortress 2 Class?

This can be because of the personality, your play style, or both. Mine has to be The Demoman. I just love his personality, he's hilarious! Gameplay wise I love him to, with Engie & scout at a close second and third. What are your guys?

I hope I'm not alone on this one:
  10. It's simple really, I've been hearing more and more about the digital distribution site GoG (which is apparently owned by CD Project Red from what I understand of it) and I want to know if anyone else here is familiar with it and if so, what your opinion of the site is. Is it any better than Steam?

    Gaming DEATH BATTLE

Hey, everypony. ^^ I hope I'm not the only one here who's heard of ScrewAttack.com's infamous series: For those who know what I'm talking about, sweet! ^^ For those who may not, allow me to explain. ^^ Death Battle is a series where 2 characters from (usually) video games, have their "skills, weapons, and armor" completely analyzed by 2 awesome bros known as Wizard and Boomstick, to see who would win a fight. It's actually a really awesome series, I would highly recommend it to those who haven't watched it. ^^ Death Battle has answered some of the most common asked questions to "who would win a fight between x and x?" Some of their most infamous battles have been: Goku VS Superman Mario VS Sonic Spider-Man VS Batman and just for us Bronies Starscream VS Rainbow Dash This series is really cool, and I think there's some serious discussion behind all this. ^^ Today, they have just released their newest Death Battle: Luigi VS Tails Now, take these with a grain of salt, because there's a lot more battles then these I've just named. ^^ For those who have already seen the videos and wish to discuss, I ask that you keep spoiling parts under spoiler tags. Oh, and did I mention that they animate a fight at the end of the videos? Very cool! ^^ So, that's about it. ^^" I'm not entirely sure where to start discussion besides saying that today's Luigi VS Tails battle was amazing! ^^ Has anyone else seen it yet? ^^

    Gaming Your Favorite Mario Game

Just wondering everyponies favorite Mario game is, Mine is Super Mario World because of it's excellent gameplay and vast amount of levels. Remember, every answer is right!
  13. Multiplayer gaming is pretty much the biggest thing in the industry at this point. Tons of people love multiplayer gaming for many reasons. Me, one of my favorite things in multiplayer games, specifically shooters, is the progression system. Made popular by Call of Duty in 2007, many games now utilize progression systems of various kinds, having mainly to do with leveling up, completing challenges, earning XP and all that good stuff. That was one of the best things introduced to multiplayer gaming, because I love that feeling of progression and the many stats that come with it. I am sorta a stats nut. To me, progression systems that are done well can be important, at least for someone like me. If I am having an off day and the games just aren't going in my favor at all, knowing that I am leveling up and completing challenges regardless helps ease frustration. So that established, what are some of your favorite progression systems in multiplayer games? And if you want to delve into the other side of that coin, do you have any least favorites? Discuss away ye pones! So I am going to say this right away, my favorite progression system is definitely in the Call of Duty titles. While the series has been drenched in greed lately due to Activision being garbage as they do, a key strength the games have possessed, even in their weakest entries, has been the progression systems, and that makes sense considering the series pretty much pioneered how to do this type of correctly. The satisfying feeling of leveling up, the sheer amount of challenges to complete for XP and the different medals you get for doing different things like headshots and such, it all adds up to make the game addicting, as it is known to be. Sadly the past few Call of Duty titles just haven't hooked me because of their gameplay design issues, but Black Ops 4 has rekindled my excitement. I know Call of Duty is hated by many and for many legit reasons, but BO4 looks quite fun. It's multiplayer progression system seems just as good as ever. However, the battle royale mode, Blackout, is a different story. You only increase in rank with wins. So, that is lame as hell. Speaking of lame, a couple of good examples of, in my opinion, bad progression systems are Overwatch and Splatoon 2. Both of these games, to me, have terrible progression systems. Overwatch is fairly straight-forward. You earn XP while playing and you level up, that's it. The XP you earn is all based on how long the match is so everyone earns the same amount of XP, not counting the win bonus which is tiny. That makes everything an even playing field, sure, but it is not satisfying in the slightest. It all means that leveling up and earning XP is not based on your performance at all, but rather just time. There's also nothing in the slightest like challenges to complete or anything like that, so it feels as basic as you can possibly get. You can boil down level ups to a certain number of matches and it feels so hollow. I like being rewarded for doing well in a game like this, especially if we lose despite my best efforts. Knowing that I earned something extra by doing well is really nice. Again, it can ease frustration, but that doesn't exist in Overwatch. With a game as unbalanced as that, it doubles the irritation I feel and it is one of the many reasons why I have stopped playing it altogether. Not only that, but the only reason to level up and the only reward you get, is a loot box every time, a loot box that contains very basic cosmetics. Um, yay? So the progression system in Overwatch is entirely loot boxes, nothing else. I just can't bring myself to like that at all. Even Call of Duty, a series that loves its loot boxes lately, gives you more for leveling up. Weapons, equipment, things like that. It works. In Overwatch, it just doesn't. Splatoon 2 is a weird one, because while it does a couple of things right, it pretty much falls in Overwatch's category, but in some ways does it even worse. You get the standard XP, you level up and leveling up here does get you new weapons which is cool but the positives end there. Firstly, leveling up eventually takes FOREVER in this game. It takes so damn long that again, it doesn't feel satisfying. It is more apparent because like Overwatch, your performance in a match just doesn't mean much, especially if you lose. Splatoon 2 is one of the most frustrating multiplayer games to lose in that I have ever played. Winning nets you a pretty substantial amount of XP, more than you could possibly earn in a match on your own accord, and losing net's you...jack shit. Oh, but your weapon loses its freshness rating, so yay! Not only do you not get the XP bonus, you also lose freshness rating on your weapon! FUN. The game lost me around level 33 or so. I just couldn't stand the frustration anymore that the game gives me. Again, there are no real challenges to complete for splatting people and such, it is all based on wins and losses and the level system isn't good enough to make up for it. So yeah, that's my take. What about all of you?

    Gaming Nintendo Direct 9/13/2018

Hello everyone. I was on Discord earlier, and I understand that Nintendo has announced another Direct for tomorrow at 3:00 PM Pacific Standard time. I thought maybe I should start a topic about it. Obviously a lot of people are excited about Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and hoping there will be a newcomer announced during the direct, but we'll see. What would you like to see in the direct? What do you think will happen?

Gaming What was your first steam game?

My first steam game was Garry's Mod. It was also the first multiplayer game I've ever played on PC. Literally first time I've played with actual people! It was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had! But Steam has been around with us for a very long time and I'm curious. I wanted to know from you guys what was your first steam game! What was your experience with your first game like? Did you had fun with it?
  18. Alright, I did a little digging and it appears no one has done this. Alright so it's exactly what it sounds like, what was your first console. I'm going to include the next generation for obvious reasons. In all honesty, my first console was the Wii, sad I know since I'm 19. My parents never let us have consoles until one day they decided to get a Wii, a few months after it was released. After that, we, my brother and I, bought a PS2, taking baby steps, sold that after a while and then finally purchased a Xbox 360. He went to college, I paid him off on the 360, so now it is all mine. He owns a PS3 now.
  19. Do you think Esports will ever become as popular as football, basketball or baseball? Will the finals of say, an Overwatch tournament be viewed by as many people as the Super Bowl?
  20. Now that the Next Generation Consoles are out, I look back at the awesome games of the past... I personally love my N64, and my favourite games are tied between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask... I want to know what you people think.

    Gaming Castlevania

<.< We've got a Digimon, Yugioh and Sonic topic already so I figured this would be okay. The Castlevania series is big enough for it's own topic! Discuss the Castlevania series in general! Got a favorite game? Favorite era? What do you think of Castlevania's jump to 3D? Remember to keep spoilers in tags I started a new file on Aria of Sorrow and played through 95% of it already. All I have left to do is go through the Chaotic Realm and I'll have beaten it on Hard Mode. Soma is definitely my favorite protagonist of the series, next to Gabriel and Hector. I know most people think Alucard is all that and a bag o' chips but I'm not in agreement. Yeah, he's pretty badass but I don't think he's the best character without a shadow of a doubt.

Gaming Any Sonic the Hedgehog fans?

I've been a Sonic fan for 10 years and I'll never stop loving the series or the Blue Blur himself. He's my favorite character in anything ever and my idol. And I know Rainbow Dash is pretty fast and super awesome, but I'll always believe Sonic is the Best!
  23. If you've played any, what's your all-time favorite TLoZ game? I assume most of you will say Ocarina of Time, which is fine, because it's my favorite too :3 Although A Link To The Past is a close second. Edit: the reason why OoT is my fave, mostly because of nostalgia, and the fact that every other Zelda game I played didn't match up to it, for me anyways, obviously from an objective stand point they've gotten better, but I just like OoT more. Likewise for A Link To The Past. So, uh, what is your favorite?
  24. Nintendo is currently sitting pretty with the success of the Switch, but where do they go after the Switch? Do they make a traditional console again, or do they keep making a console-handheld hybrid? I'm not sure a second hybrid would be as successful as the Switch, and I don't know if they can succeed with a traditional console. I'm worried they'll be in another Wii U situation.
  25. Hello, everypony! So if you follow Smash, the entire gaming community was waiting a week longer than expected due to the earthquake in Japan to see who character number 68 would be in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. And now we have our answer. This is Isabelle. She comes from Animal Crossing New Leaf, where the player becomes the town's new mayor, and Isabelle will be the player's assistant. In the previous installment which was Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, she was an assist trophy. She is now the third Assist Trophy to be promoted to a playable fighter. The previous two being Little Mac and Dark Samus. What are your thoughts about Isabelle's debut in Super Smash Bros? Personally, I don't play Animal Crossing anymore, but I still care for the franchise and I will use her.
