  1. I was looking through the forums and even searched in the tags, and I was surprised there wasn't a thread of this popular open world sandbox action series. Who hasn't played GTA? I mean, unless you don't care for action-open world games like GTA. My personal favorite is still San Andreas, with V being a close second. My least favorite would have to be IV. It was boring and the game mechanics were a little sloppy. It was still pretty memorable, though. I haven't played the originals, though. Share your favorite moments from the series, your favorite game(s), or just random things you like to do, or chaos you like to cause! Also, Can't wait for GTA V on PS4, as I no longer have my PS3!
  2. Multi Theft Auto is a modification for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It's adds multiplayer to the game and there are servers you can play on. You use a scripting language called Lua (MTA only supports Lua 5.1 and I think it supports Lua 5.1.5, which is the last version of 5.1) to create your gamemode and you can only have one gamemode on at a time. Maps are made using the built-in mapeditor resource. Servers are made using resources, which always contain a meta.xml and then your scripts and/or other folders and files. I feel like I'm the only one here that knows about or plays it. But I did met a couple of bronies that I met on a server, but I think they stopped playing MTA. I have spent some time actually scripting things. I tried looking around this forum and I'm surprised no one even talked about MTA. I tried SA-MP, but I really didn't like. The only thing good about SA-MP is the SA-MP map editor, which I use if I need to look up a certain model or texture.
  3. Oh, man. This one brings me back. I like to consider this story as my "true" brony origin story as it was the first time I "crossed the line" and wasn't planning on going back. Certainly, I have another story where I "officially" discovered MLP, but I like to call this one the superior. The day was October 11th, 2015 and I had finally finished watching Season 1 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. In all honesty, I thought it was a bit bland and I was eagerly waiting for the suspense of Season 2 after hearing all the talk about Discord and other events that took place. Now, I wanted to really, truly enjoy MLP for what it was and without criticism or spoilers from anyone. I knew Twilight grew wings at one point, and I knew about Discord. But that was it. I went so far as to avoid clop that had Twilight's wings so I could avoid a spoiler. Looking back, I'm glad I did. I later found that second season to be tremendous; it was something I hadn't seen in a long time. Unfortunatly, by the time I'd finished Season 1, a little ticking clock slowly grew in my head; and, just as Hasbro intended, I suddenly wanted merch. Now, I was always a fan of plushies. In fact, when I was 10, I used to make movies with them! So me buying a few horses from the local walmart would create no suspicion whatsoever... well... at least that's how I think now. Those early months of a Brony's life are mostly about tip-toeing and sneaking around corners like some kind of spy, and this was especially true with me. I felt I'd be disowned if my parents ever found out. Of course, I had my arguments to defend myself all lined up like some kind of defence force, but I really didn't want it to come to that. I rationalized for about an hour, constantly telling myself that if I did buy this plush, there would be no going back. There'd be no returning to a state of loneliness. I'd be stuck in the Brony Fandom until the end of its days. I shrugged it off and went to buy it anyway. It was 12.95, and I was returned, what I call, "Hasbro's Mighty Nickel". Seriously, am I the only one who is always returned a nickel? Anyway, the time was about 3:20 and I needed the extra time to... scale my building. Yeah, I scaled my building for the means of a 13 dollar plush. Maybe not the best rationality, but at the time, I can see why it was the only available option. I think the worst thing about this story, was that I had to do everything all over again because I found a Rarity Plush hiding behind the nightmare-fuel Rainbow Rocks dolls. It was another 13 bucks, but it was totally worth it. About a week later, my mom was digging through my room and found my Rarity sitting on the bed. She came downstairs and asked me about it, but I just shrugged and told her I picked it up a month ago. She believed me, but my Brony secret didn't last very long. I had to tell her because I was aiming on getting the Starlight Glimmer and Twilight Sparkle plushies and I needed the "waterways" unlocked so I could order online. I told both my parents months later; after I'd collected four of the seven. Wow, that's my longest blog! Congrats, me! Lesson of today is to swim. Yes, swim gud. -RealityPublishing
  4. Looking forward to some creative responses!...if I get any. Inspired by Kronos. I think. Yeah, Kronos. P.S. Sorry if I used some art I wasn't supposed to, I don't know the artists but I'll take it down immediately if I wasn't allowed to use one.
  5. I've started up a Let's Play of Grand Theft Auto III. Figured I'd see what you guys think of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6vTv3VQ7HE
  6. Silly (and possibly pointless) video of me driving my Rarity-inspired vehicle around in GTA V. The vehicle does accrue some scratches throughout the video, sorry about that. It's really hard to drive with the cinematic camera.
  7. I figured, since the July 2015 Banner Contest winners have been announced, I thought I'd upload this. Also, thanks for everyone's support. Congrats on everyone who has taken part. :grin2: http://flutterstephd.deviantart.com/art/MLP-Forums-Grand-Theft-Auto-banner-FlutterstepHD-544002028 I may recreate a version 4x bigger in the future, but I'm not too sure yet.
  8. ( If there's already a topic about this, let me know! ) I've always been a fan of Grand Theft Auto, but they're all really different to me, so the differences make the games really unique. Although Grand Theft Auto V isn't out yet, I can already assume it will be my favorite. Here's my list: GTA 5 (Assumption) - I like it because the graphics are really great, I'd love to see San Andreas remade, and I heard of a bunch of possible features, which sound great. Plus, how can you say no to this? GTA 4 - I really like New York City, although I've never been there before, and Niko's cool. The animations are really smooth, which I really like in video games, and the missions aren't as glitchy as San Andreas'. Though the map seems very small and you can't pilot an airplane, I still really like it. Plus the online is just hectic, which I love in games. GTA: San Andreas - The map is absolutely huge, and you find yourself lost often, which I really like in GTA. I'll be honest, I always used cheats on this game, and I don't see myself living without them. The list of cheats on San Andreas is probably the biggest cheat list in all video game history. Or at least I've seen. There are plenty of vehicles, including airplanes, which is what we all love. The career mode is freaking long. I've played it all day and I've only made it to 25% complete. It's crazy. So, tell me what your favorites are. I hope we all think differently about the different games in the series, otherwise it'd be boring to read the same thing over and over again.
  9. Now i am a big Rockstar games fan, first game i bought was GTA 3, i got sent to the hospital almost everytime and still remember how the cops kept yelling "ALRIGHT DROP DOWN" yeah good times. Anyway does it sometimes make you wonder, when you play for instance GTA 4 you think what is the other character from GTA 3 is doing? or vice city? what if when you'll play GTA 5 you will get to see Tommy vercetti kind of old and his face dipped in a pile of cocaine behind his desk in his mansion xD that reminds me of another thing i had on my mind, now to this day people still enjoy playing GTA san andreas, now i would love to see or atleast get to know in GTA 5 where is Carl Johnson and what is he up to, because he did made big things happen in san andreas, got his stake in the casino, an auto shop, he's a manager and a respected gang memeber. so at the very least. players do deserve to hear what is the character up to in that upcoming GTA 5 universe.
  10. Yesterday, I picked up L.A. Noire from my local Gamestop. And I have to say... I like it. It's not like your typical Rockstar game. Instead of going around the city with an assault rifle and wreaking havoc, I had to focus on good, clean detective work. It was nice to see Rockstar step out of their ordinary game formula and try something a little different. While I was playing, a thought came into my head; Rockstar has been making a lot of good games recently. Whether it be about a European, a cowboy, or a detective, Rockstar always seems to manage to please the gaming community. So, tell me. From what you've seen come out of Rockstar, do you think they're one of the greatest game companies ever, or not quite? And why?
  11. so the video trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5 not log ago and i was wondering what everypony's opinion was on the trailer personally i thought it was awesome. this trailer just builds up the hype from what im sure will be yet another brilliant game for the current gen consoles please tell me what you think of GTA V and this new trailer
  12. The game that we are all anticipating to see showcased at E3, and to see more gameplay of since the only features we have seen are how we can play as three characters for the first time ever in Grand Theft Auto in which it will have the styles of San Andreas and Vice City. In where you can fly helicopters, fly in a airplane, skiing, and doing other activities that we couldn't do in the past. We know that Rockstar Games will not disappoint on the series at all. You can play as three characters: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. There will be a Collector's Edition and Special Edition of the game available only for pre-order only. There will be a huge variety of cars, trucks, bikes, helicopters, planes, ATVs, and jet skis. It will definitely not disappoint with the new activities, mobile, map, and the new open world style. When the game releases on September 17th, what are your expectations and your plans on what you will do in Grand Theft Auto V? That is all, for now. Ciao!
  13. Hai everypony, I have been looking at the gta 5 trailer and on some breakdowns on it and i want to know if it is going to be worth the $60. I have enough monney saved up to buy it and i just wanted to know everypony's thoughts on the game. Thank you guys.
  14. I was playing Grand theft Auto the other day, and I started committing a few virtual crimes. Some stabbing, some stealing, some grand theft auto (of course), and a few acts of random and unprovoked outbreaks of violence. Needless to say, a whole squadron of police officers were soon on my tail. I drove for miles until they eventually trapped me in a back alley. In one last act of defiance, I began wildly firing my weapon upon the crowd of officers. I killed about five of them before they took me out. It was quite the adrenaline rush. Then, I thought to myself: If a police officer was playing this game, and they were presented with a situation where they were cornered by the virtual cops, would they be as merciless as I was? Could they stomach the sight of the death of one of their fellow officers, even if the officer wasn't real? Would they want to even play the game in the first place? What do you think? Do you personally know any cops who have stated their disapproval of GTA?
  15. I'm really looking forward to it. I played San Andreas a lot and I really liked the soundtrack with Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and N.W.A. Anypony else excited?
  16. These aren't real games of course, but if they were wouldn't it be great?!
  17. Who else would buy this game?
