  1. Do you guys have something to defend, like a gun or pistol, in your house? I'm really jealous that you have the 2nd amendment. I wish my country had the right to bear arms for defence.
  2. Is anypony around here into shooting, whether it be for skeet, hunting, target, competition, etc.? I enjoy collecting and shooting firearms, and while I have done most of my shooting with rifles and pistols, I finally got around to getting a shotgun later last year (12 gauge Mossberg 500). I plan on getting started with handloading and reloading cartridges rather soon, and I hope to eventually get into hunting. My favorite rifle is my Springfield Armory M1A (civilian M14 variant):
  3. Lets say that the area around you has been a bit more violent what are you going to do? how are you going to survive? there are people out there that want to harm you and your going to get hurt unless you can fight. No seriously what weapon do you need to sleep with to survive I keep a rifle and a blade.
  4. [EDIT 12/12/18) Before reading this essay, please read this preface, which I am writing about nine months later. Of all of the blog entries I've written, this is the only one that I'm not quite certain I can still stand by 100%. A lot of it is okay, but I would definitely change some things and make some revisions if I was to write about this topic today. I'm not quite happy with some of the things I said, and some of the wording. I'll be the first to admit that I am not a gun expert at all. In fact, I know virtually nothing about firearms or the buying process of them. I'm not qualified to write about this topic in any factual sense. Stephen Crowder, a conservative youtuber that I occasionally watch, once said that he believes the gun debate largely takes place between gun owners and the completely uninformed. I think that's probably spot on. I'd wager that many anti-gun activists have never purchased a firearm, and thus know little about them. I just wanted to give my opinions and brainstorm some suggestions about how to decrease gun violence. But I probably made some incorrect assumptions about guns and the buying process. I have had a bit of education since then, and I know I would change some things about this essay if I did it over again. But the thing of it is, I don't really have the time or the motivation to do that right now. Truth be told, I don't really want to write about this topic anymore. It's a conversation that needs to be had, for sure, but it's not something I enjoy thinking or writing about, and I want to move on to other things. I'm just being honest with you--I have not done the homework required to speak comprehensively about guns, and I'm probably not going to. So, make what you will of my opinions and suggestions. Some of them may not work. Some may be crap. That's okay. I'm just brainstorming. I'll repeat the very last thing I said in the debate following this essay--I just want to decrease the severity and frequency of mass shootings. I'll support whatever action(s) actually leads to that outcome. I'll briefly say what my current ideas are to decrease gun violence: I still believe we should require some type of safety training courses for gun ownership. I believe we should put more money into the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, as well as de-stigmatize the taboos surrounding said illnesses. Lastly, we need to support a reformation of Islam. This is something that isn't talked about nearly enough due to rampant fears of racism and un-political correctness. Jihadism is a massive source of violence in our world, and it won't stop until Islam sees a similar transformation as Christianity in the west, such that Muslims cherry-pick their Qu'rans and don't follow the literal violent stuff. This can only happen from the inside. We need to support moderate Muslim reformers such as Maajid Nawaz who speak out against jihadism. A great place to start would be giving money and resources to the Quilliam Foundation, a group founded by Maajid to help fight Islamic extremism. Those are my thoughts as of right now. All in all, it's a complex topic, and unlike most of what I write about, I don't feel that confident about it. I'm rather unsure of what the solution should be, and I remain largely agnostic about guns. Just wanted you to know that before going in. I did not want to make any changes/revisions to my main essay because I had a conversation/debate in the comments afterward, so I wanted to preserve the original essay as it was written. Changing it would be disgenuine and unfair to the people who responded to it. So, with that said, on with the show.] END EDIT. I find it extremely troubling that, in the United States, we can't even have a conversation about guns without a certain section of the population flying off the handle, outraged at the very idea of regulating their guns at all. The US definitely has a unique love affair with guns that I find disturbing. Some people seem to want guns to work like candy bars; go into any store, buy any kind you want, as much as you want, no regulations, no questions asked. Some people seem to think that the second amendment gives them this right. However, the Second Amendment, like all of the Constitution, is, after all, just words written by men trying to come up with the best rules they could at the time. It's not the be-all, end-all, codex of ultimate wisdom. Even if you're a religious believer, I think we can all agree that the Constitution is not the word of any god. It did not come from the heavens on high, and yet, a certain variety of American often seems to talk about the second amendment as if it did. Well, guess what? Times have changed, the world has changed, our species has gained a lot of collective wisdom, and we are, in fact, capable of writing new words that work better today. Perhaps it is time to start thinking of guns a privilege, not an inborn right. I have given a lot of thought to the problem of gun violence and mass shooting in the US, and the following is my suggestion on what to do about it. This is a three-part plan. Part I The first part is fairly simple: ban all assault-type weapons, bump stocks, high capacity mags, etc. These things only serve to make offense more effective, which is exactly what we don't want. In the hands of civilians, guns only ever need to be used for defense, and weapons and accessories that make it easier to mow down large crowds are never needed for defense. An assault rifle doesn't help one to take down the bad guy. These types of weapons and accessories have no place in our society. Also, we should raise the minimum age for all guns, across the board, to 21. That's pretty straightforward--I don't believe 18 is mature enough for firearms. Part II This part is much more robust. Here is what I propose: form a governing body responsible for licensing to purchase firearms. This body will henceforth be known as the Department of Firearms, or the DF. In order to purchase a gun, one would need to obtain a license from the DF. Here is what that process would entail: A firearm license would require the user to pass a comprehensive safety and competence test. This would be administered by an examiner at a shooting range. Before the test can be taken, however, the user must take a training course, also given at the shooting range. This course would be comprehensive, covering firearm safety, usage, and maintenance (after all, a poorly maintained gun is an unsafe gun). After passing the course, the user would then have to log a certain number of hours of shooting at the range. The range would rent guns for this purpose, and shooting would only be done under trained supervision. An examiner or other official would keep track of your hours. I propose the requirement of logging a certain number of hours spent shooting for the following reason: if one is allowed to buy a gun, then one should know how to use a gun. This is common sense to me. The last thing I want is guns in the hands of people who have never fired guns. This is incredibly dangerous. We know the statistics--people are more likely to shoot friends or family members than the bad guys. Guns in untrained hands are a hazard to everyone around. People should prove they can use a dangerous thing before being allowed to buy one. After all, you cannot buy a car without having proven that you know how to drive one. Now, one might argue that this will only serve to make the bad guys more efficient at killing the rest of us, but I don't think that that will be the effect. Bad guys likely won't go through the proper channels to purchase a gun, anyway. The licensing process would filter them out, and make it extremely difficult for them to acquire guns. The requirement of competence will only serve to make the good guys better at defending themselves, and less likely to shoot friends, family, and bystanders. So, circling back, the user would need to log their required number of hours at the shooting range, under trained supervision. The number of hours needed is something that I would no nothing about. We'd need to assemble some of the most experienced gun experts around and have them discuss and agree upon the amount of time an average person would need in order to achieve safe competence. The names Jocko Willink and Scott Reitz come to mind. So, after passing the training course and logging the required number of hours, then, and only then, would the user be allowed to apply to take the exam. The exam would test everything they've learned: safety, usage, and maintenance. The test would also serve to filter out the mentally unstable. It would also include an eye exam, just like a driver's license. Upon successful completion of the exam, the user would be given documentation as proof, which they would then take to the DF. There would be a DF facility in every major city. The DF would look very similar to the DMV inside. No firearms would be allowed inside the DF. It would not be a place for shooting--only a department for the licensing. The user would present their test completion documents at the DF. The DF would then run a full background check. If all checks out, then the user would be photographed and given a temporary license. Their permanent license would be mailed to them later. The user could then walk up to any gun counter in any sporting goods store, ask to buy, and the clerk would say "license, please,". They'd hand over the card, and if it's valid, then they'd get to buy their gun. So, that's it. A rigorous process that would surely be much to the chagrin of many gun enthusiasts, but to that I say: boo hoo. Too bad. With great power comes great responsibility, and guns are a great power, indeed. They should require rigorous licensing standards. It would be a pain, but we put up with stuff like that throughout our lives. Going to the DMV probably makes everyone's top 5 list of the most miserable things to do, right up there with root canal and dinner with the in-laws. But we do it anyway. We put up with it, because we understand that it's necessary. Guns should be no different. But wait....there's more. The firearm license would have an expiration date. I don't know how long this would be. Again, the experts would have to determine that. Upon expiration, the user would need to renew. In order to do this, they would need to retake the exam at the shooting range. If they pass, they would simply mail in their certificate of completion, and the DF would mail them their new license. If the user fails, they would be required to retake the training course, after which they could apply to take the exam again. If they fail again, they would need to wait a designated period of time (perhaps three months or so) before taking the training course again, and then the exam. After a third fail, they would need to wait a year before being able to try again. I would imagine that ownership of firearms with respect to licensing would work like cars: if you own a gun(s), but you do not possess a valid license, then you can still own the gun, but you may not use it. Just like a car--you can still keep it, but you can't drive it. You wouldn't be allowed to take the gun to a shooting range, or hunting, etc. Now, no one can really stop people from using their guns inside their own house, so even without a valid license, one could probably still keep the gun for home defense. I don't foresee law enforcement kicking in doors to confiscate guns. I should also note that when taking your own firearm to a range, you'd have to present your license. If you're caught with a gun and an invalid license, you'd be arrested. Also, just like a car, only licensed users would be allowed to fire the gun. I.e. A licensed user cannot bring their son or friend to the range and let them shoot, just as you cannot let your unlicensed friend or son drive your car. Also--and this should go without saying--but if you ever commit a violent crime, even once, you're banned for life from ever obtaining a firearm license. Period. Part III Here's where things get more theoretical. I propose the creation of a research and development department with a single goal: the invention of a Star Trek phaser. I do not believe this goal to be outside of the realm of possibility. I believe that if we made it priority one, the technology would be only decades away, not centuries. The goal would be to create a laser-beam type weapon that has perfect accuracy, light speed, and longer range than any bullet, but is only capable of stunning. This would be the perfect, non-lethal defense weapon. Small, light, accurate, point it at the target, press the button, and the target instantly goes down, unconscious for several hours, but otherwise unharmed. Licensing would be required for the purchase of phasers as well; even though they would be non-lethal, it would not be a good idea to have instant knock-out power in the wrong hands. Once phaser costs come down a comparable level to guns and have completely permeated the market, then all guns and ammunition would be completely banned except for police and military. Period. Again, I wouldn't foresee law enforcement kicking in doors to confiscate guns at this point, but with all ammunition banned, it wouldn't take too long for guns to become nothing more than clubs and paperweights. * * * And that ends my three part plan. Unrealistic? I'm sure. But I strongly believe that this is what we should do, unless I hear a better idea. So far, the extent of our actions to end gun violence has been thoughts and prayers. Yup. That's really done the trick all right. Now, I realize that the third part of my plan would undoubtedly suck for good, responsible gun owners who love hunting as a sport. In response I say: find a new sport. Isn't that a fair price to end gun violence forever? But actually, it doesn't have to come to that, either. You could still hunt. Here's what you do: stun the animal with a phaser, then kill it with a knife. Or use a bow and arrows. Either way would be far more badass than a gun. You'd have to adapt, but those are the breaks. I think the payoff would be worth it. But even if we just implemented parts I and II of my plan, it would improve things a heck of a lot. It's also worth noting that my plan would be extremely expensive, even without part III. It is, in my opinion, a necessary expense, however. My dad suggested a great way to save money--combine the DMV and the DF. The Department of Motor Vehicles and Firearms. The DMVF Since the DF would only be the licensing department, not involved in actually shooting or testing, the departments needn't be separated. A DMV employee would already be equally qualified to look at a firearm test certificate, take a photo, and mail some stuff. And you'd already have the facilities. No need to construct new buildings. The majority of the cost would come from expanding shooting ranges and hiring and training the staff to teach the training courses and administer the exams and so forth. I do have one idea of where we could get some of this money from. We could....just throwing this out there....we could....I don't know....say....use the money that's going to be spent on this border wall....perhaps? Since....y'know...the border wall is just like flushing money down a giant toilet. Just an idea. I could add a forth part to the plan, but it wouldn't be as directly related to firearms. I propose increasing funding for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. This would just be a good thing to do all-around, and could only have benefits, one of them being to reduce the number of firearms in the wrong hands. Before I close, I feel I should address one last thing--a counter argument I've seen from gun activists. Inb4 "But a knife can kill people. Should we have training courses and licensing to buy a fricking kitchen knife?" This argument is a reductio ad absurdum. Anything can be a weapon. I could stick a pencil in a table and then ram someone's head down onto it, lodging the pencil in their brain and killing them. (That would be quite the magic trick, eh?) Should we require licenses for pencils, then too? We obviously can't, shouldn't, wouldn't, needn't, and won't start regulating anything that could be used to hurt someone. We'd be left with nothing but marshmallows. This is a case of common sense. No, I don't think we should regulate kitchen knives. Yes, I do think we should regulate guns. There's a big difference. A gun is a highly-lethal weapon designed to kill targets swiftly and instantly from extreme distance. Such weapons must be treated differently from a knife or a baseball bat. People will throw statistics around such as the fact that there are more deaths from knives than guns. This seems to me to be dodging the issue. There's more deaths from knives because there are many, many more knives, being used inside homes, in domestic disputes, and the like. There's also more deaths from a lot of things, but again, we can't ban everything but marshmallows. The point is that a lone knifeman can't kill dozens of school students, or movie goers, or concert goers, or night club goers, or church goers. Common sense, dude. The bottom line is this: I want gun violence to end, but I'm not trying to leave good, responsible people defenseless, I'm not trying to take away your rights, and I realize that outright banning all guns would solve nothing at the moment. The goal of my plan is to allow intelligent, responsible, law-abiding people to buy guns, while making it extremely difficult for bad guys to get through the licensing process. The net result should be to decrease the number of guns in the wrong hands, while leaving the good hands relatively untouched. I think it's time to stop thinking of guns as an inborn right, and start thinking of them as a privilege that must be earned.
  5. Blaze the Pegasus is a series I've been working on for quite a while, it takes place in the same universe as MLP:FIM, but in the future of the year 2124. We've seen franchises where aliens invade our world, Earth, and destroy monuments and governments to take over. But what if we were the aliens invading another planet? In Blaze the Pegasus, humanity finds a planet inhabited by ponies and declares war to take over their world to mine it for its resources. Since this takes place in the future, ponies no longer use spears and swords to fight back, they use machine guns and tanks like humanity does today. One soldier however, plans to end the war once and for all, Captain Blaze Ishtar, otherwise known as, "Blaze the Pegasus." I will give you the link to both the trailer and the first episode, I hope you enjoy it, and if you like it, please do subscribe to my Youtube channel, ThunderBlaze Studios if you wish to see more content produced by me, and support me by sharing my vids on Instagram, Google+, Twitter and/or Facebook. (The show is animated in gmod and sfm in case you are wondering.) Trailer: Episode 1:

  7. If zombie hunter team were made up what would your role be with the skills you have right now ? you would be working out of a home base that the undead can not get into. here is a Brief Summary of the roles (team commander) The most specially trained Soldiers in the group. team commander are experts in conducting operations that don't call for conventional military operations and is responsible for typically organized as a 12-man team, known as an Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA). team commander is the team leader of an ODA, responsible for mission organization, outfitting the team and debriefing mission objectives. (team weapons Weapons Sergeants(gunsmiths) are the weapons specialists. They're capable of operating and maintaining a wide variety of U.S., Allied and other foreign weaponry. Some of your duties as a Weapons Sergeant may include: Go behind enemy lines to recruit, train and equip friendly forces for guerrilla raids Clear mine fields, both underwater and on land Carry out demolition raids against enemy military targets Conduct offensive raids or invasions of enemy territories for things need. Maintain proficiency with all foreign high-density light and heavy weapons Select weapons placements and sites (Engineer) Engineers help with building structures, developing civil works program, working with natural resources as well as providing combat support on the battlefield. Engineers has a tremendous amount of job diversity, and its officers serve in every type of engineer unit, to include: ConstructionConstruct roads, buildings, military bases, airfields, and much more. Geospatial: Collect, manage and visualize terrain data. (communications) your job would be operate communications gear for the team, They also have serious computer/networking skills. Some of your duties as a Communications may include: Organize, train, advise and supervise Soldiers in the installation, utilization and operation of communications equipment Establish and maintain tactical and operational communications and communications equipment Plan, prepare and assist in the communications targets portion of area study Supervise the communications functions for operations or missions (medical) the most specialized combat forces in the team. The Medical team member is a crucial member of this team and must be ready to perform.Medical team members are considered to be the first-response/trauma medical technicians in . Though they're primarily trained with an emphasis on trauma medicine, they also are some with a working knowledge of dentistry, veterinary care, public sanitation, water quality and optometry. . (intelligence) you job is to get intelligence on the undead and others people out there who could attack the base. (bodyguard or close protection of high-risk principals) Your the team member who protects a person—usually a team engineer ,team communications ,team medical ,team intelligence ,Supply NCO, Biological, Chemical (NBC) NCO or non-fighter from assault, kidnapping, assassination, loss of confidential information, or other threats. you also help them with there jobs when need be. Your role of is very mundane:searching vehicles,Driving and attentively escorting the person on their day-to-day activities. (Supply NCO) The unit Supply NCO has a vital role in the success of his or her company. The primary duties and responsibilities of a Supply NCO include: inventories, property accountability, turn-in of unneeded equipment, Organizational Clothing & Individual Equipment, managing the property book and so much more. you make sure everyone has what they need. (rifleman) If you have an average size team containing 6-10 people these are the role you should fill. At least half of your team should be rifleman because they are the base grunts and have balanced attributes. (support gunner/heavy weapons) support gunners help to supress the enemy, defend an area, or to take out a large group of enemies. Support gunners usually hang back behind teammates to give indirect, supressive fire to drive back opponents. Support gunners are alos useful in defense situations because of their rate of fire that they can shoot at an enemy. The most important job of a gunner is to force an enemy into a postition of defense that benefits their teammates. The importance of the gunner is not to be fast and manuverable, like snipers and infantry, but to hold key areas. heavy weapons you also help hold the base or other areas. You use machine guns, mortars, rocket-propelled grenades, flamethrowers, grenade-launchers, anti-tank weapons, and/or other portable heavy weapons to keep undead and raiders at bay. (sniper/spotter) your a highly trained marksman who shoots targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the capabilities of regular personnel. Snipers typically have specialized training and distinct high-precision rifles. In addition to marksmanship, snipers are also trained in camouflage, field craft, infiltration, reconnaissance and observation. Snipers are especially effective when deployed within the urban terrain of urban warfare. You give over watch of a area for the team or base, get intelligence of a area and clear areas of things(undead, mines, make sure area is clear for the team.) Both members can perform either role and often rotate between the two. the spotter assists in observation of targets, atmospheric conditions and handles security of their immediate location and communication with other parties. The spotter detects, observes, and assigns targets and watches for the results of the shot. Using his spotting scope, he will also read the wind by using physical indicators and the mirage caused by the heat on the ground. Also, in conjunction with the shooter, he will accurately make calculations for distance, angle shooting (slant range), mil dot related calculations, correction for atmospheric conditions and leads for moving targets. It is not unusual for the spotter to be equipped with a notepad and a laptop computer specifically for performing these calculations. He also provides the team security, therefore he is usually armed with an assault rifle. It is often the case that the sniper rifle is assigned exclusively to a single person, therefore in the case of rotation the spotter carries two weapons. Some military doctrines describe a third member known as the flanker. His task is to have observed areas not visible to the sniper or spotter and assist with the team's rear security. (designated marksman) The DM's role is to supply rapid accurate fire on enemy targets at ranges up to 800 metres (870 yd) with a highly-accurate semi-automatic rifle equipped with a telescopic sight. Like snipers, DM's are trained in quick and precise shooting, but unlike the more specialised "true" sniper, they are also intended to lay down accurate rapid fire. The DM's role is to provide an additional capability to the team , which is the ability to engage targets at greater ranges than the other members of the squad or section. The DM operates as an integral member of the team, providing a niche capability contributing to the overall firepower of the platoon in the same way as a grenadier with a rifle-mounted grenade launcher, or the gunner who employs the squad/section machine gun. The DM weapon provides a capability to the infantry platoon in the shape of increased precision at a greater range than that provided by the standard infantry rifle, by virtue of its sighting system and/or larger calibre. By comparison, the sniper role is much more specialised with very comprehensive selection, training and equipment. (room clearer) your the big guy on the team. Your powerful and use shotgun or other things to clear rooms take out doors and kill the undead. You have a sword or something a long those lines for CQC fighting on undead or living people. (other) people with skill that don't fall into one group like people who run dog teams or techs. (non-fighter) you have last pick of guns and don't go anywhere. your the Agriculture or specializing in Animal husbandry and other things(making stuff, fixing things or other noncombat roles). Your a civilian a person who is not a member of the armed forces. The term is also often used colloquially to refer to people who are not members of a particular profession or occupation. you still are needed but your no fighter. (Conscientious objection) A conscientious objector (CO) is an “individual [who has] claimed the right to refuse to perform military service" on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion. conscientious objectors are assigned to an alternative civilian service as a substitute for conscription or military service. Some conscientious objectors consider themselves pacifist, non-resistant, or antimilitarist. You need other to protect you and unlike the other groups you don't carry or no how to use a weapon.
  8. The long wait for many of us has ended, specially the ones who didn't attended last year Quakecon, but we'll finally se a peek of what will be the next release of the classic FPS, AND IT LOOKS SWEET :SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: Gameplay trailer 8 minute gameplay
  9. well after watching a anime called Upotte!! it got me thinking all weapons are different, just like people. Some are more reliable than others, some more popular. Some look great but are mechanically worthless. Some are more powerful than others, but some are more stealthy. Some are more accurate, and some are just concerned with how much metal they can get into the air. Some will work if you have buried them in sand and mud, others will get dust on the reciever and jam up. Also, how much you take care of your gun can impact the operation of it. Some guns can also take more abuse than others. There is a Gun type for every personality in the world. SO base on your personality, body type, age and other things that are you what kind of gun would you be? I would be a savage arms bolt action Law Enforcement Rifle like a model 10. I am tall, nearsighted but very good long range sight, like to put one round at a time on target, powerful and stealthy, can take a lot a abuse and keep working, have been used by the cops, armed forces and hunters and i am not pointed at ferguson protesters cause anyone can own me.
  10. So as some of you may know I'm writing a narrative for school. Guns have an important role in the novel having one of the characters being a nut for anything to do with the military and weapons. I've never really had an interest in guns myself, but I know there are plenty of people, whether it's gamers or actual soldiers who are gun enthusiasts. I need to know common and powerful guns that they use in the military, although you have to be legally able to own them. I'd also like to know the name of a common pistol that's useful for teaching beginners to use a gun. Anyone know any?

  14. A simple question for all fellow gun geeks out there. What's your favorite firearm? Be it for appearance or performance is irrelevant. This does NOT concern video game weapons, so please, refrain from referring to them. Note: I'd greatly appreciate a reason for your liking towards a particular gun.
  15. Hey all, so this year's Call of Duty got leaked last night, then the trailer officially released this morning. Here it is. So, what do you guys think? I personally think that it looks like it is going to be a fresh Call of Duty for once, and it looks pretty epic with the technology element. I mean, this is more technologically advanced than Black Ops 2. If you didn't know, CoD: Advanced Warfare is being made by Sledgehammer Games. Here is a video Drif0r made that showcases their past. As a CoD fan, all I can say is "please save us, Based Sledgehammer." The official world reveal of the game is this Sunday, May 4th at Noon CST. Let me know what you guys think, do you like it? Do you hate it? Confirmed List so far Kevin Spacey is lead antagonist/protagonist Combat takes place in the USA Revolves around PMCs (Private Military Companies) Set in the far future
  16. So what do you ponies think of gun control, both in the United States and abroad. I myself see gun control as simply a restriction of individual freedom and a lack of means to defend oneself in a dangerous situation.
  17. Andrew woke with a sigh. He honestly wanted it to be some dream or something along the lines of that. No, it was all too real. One minute he's playing his Xbox happily and the next he's helping cartoon characters perform the plague of mankind. War. Teaching horses how to use guns, rockets, vehicles, etc. He can't even drive yet! Let alone cruise around in a 60 ton metal box of destruction. Maybe they could summon a driver of said vehicles to teach the ponies. Then there was categorizing each pony with a gun to suit them to their style. He sat up off the floor. He realized he slept in a funny position, " Do all ponies sleep like this?" He wondered. He looked outside and walked out on his balcony. It was dark out, but not like it was at home. The moon was way larger, nighttime had great visibility, and nothing was roaming around. No drug dealers, not robbers, and not drunk drivers. Peace was soon to be shattered. Though the stated crimes will likely never exist in Equestria, war is no happy thing. Some say is can cause psychedelic problems. Believable, especially sine these innocent creatures don't cause bloodshed. He wished it was like this back at the states. He wondered if he should have declined. Just then he heard something behind him. He turned to see the Mare of the Moon. " Hi! Didn't see you there." He said. Truth was he was excited. She was his favorite pony. " What is thou doing is the midst of the night?" Luna asked. " Pondering what I'm gonna do. You see I never taught anybo-... pony how to kill before. It's second nature to humans, whether we like it or not. I can tell this is the only solution to your problems. To be honest I don't want to kill but it has to be done. Which reminds me, who are we up against?" He questioned "The Changeling army. A Changeling is-" " I haven't been honest with you," He admitted while cutting her off. " What could you ever mean?" She said, puzzled. " I know a lot about you guys. You were once a evil entity called nightmare moon. You sought to bring eternal night due to the lack of appreciation of your moon and it's night sky. You nearly defeated your sister, you would've if she didn't have the elements or harmony. She banished your forever, but you escaped on the 1000th year. You were defeated by the elements again, but you were spared by your sister this time. Now you rule the night once again." He summarized. " How? We just met you. Yet you know what happened to me! Explain at once!" She demanded. " I was going to tell you." He responded. He explained the MLP FiM and how they were featured in a TV show. He also explained what a TV is. She sat there dumbfounded for sometime by what she just heard. He knew how to get her mind off it. " The night... beautiful isn't it? Softer than the hardened light of Celestia. The moon has more intrigue than the sun as well. The peace and quiet is a nice bonus as well." He said. " You really think so? Not many appreciate the night." She said quietly. " Well it's when I'm most active. I usually sleep half the day away." He stated. She smiled in response. " Last pony to ever appreciate my night is dead. On top of that she was blind." She looked down. " It doesn't always take sight to see beauty. She was able to see why. You listen to ponies and help in their sleep. You helped that Filly see what she could do. The night helped her believe in herself. That was a beautiful thing that your night did. Yes, it is visually appealing. Yet, when something like that occurs a invisible beauty reflects on the night. It gives a sense of security and happiness. What does the day do? I don't know. I see the night affects a pony more then the day ever could. That's what another form of beauty is." "..." " Your love your night gives off is more than you realize, more than others realize and it impacts them." "I never thought of it that way. You've made me feel happy about what I do. I still wish others would appreciate it more but that was enlightening. By the way what is your name? We were a bit rushed earlier so I forgot to formerly introduce my self. I am Princess Luna, ruler of the night. As you know already." She asked realizing they never asked his name. " I am Andrew. Your regular no pony. I also must apologize for my language back there. I was too shocked to use my senses." He apologized. " It's understandable. You've never met our species. No need to apologize." She smiled " Actually I have. Except they are really stupid and behave like animals in my world. They don't have multiple colors, wings, horns, or voices either. Plus they smell." He recalled. " That's dreadful." She said wondering how a magnificent species such as hers would be so barbaric. She was thankful they were separated. "Back on topic. So the changelings have threatened to take over again. What confirms this isn't a scandal?" He asked " I wish to not speak of it. Tomorrow morning Celestia will show you. We don't know what killed him but he had no chance of living. So tell me about this world your from. What's it like?" " You may want to sit down. This will be a while, even me leaving out unimportant details." He told her. He explained the violence and evil humans commit, what his life was like, other countries, what they would be using in battle, what human war played out like, what humans did for fun, but she was particularly interest in video games. " Maybe after this is over I can show you what it's like." He smiled. " Yes. That would be nice... I just realized you should be preparing to train the guards." She said. Before she flew off he said one last thing. " You were always my favorite in the show." He said. She smiled and flew to her chambers. Andrew just realized just as she flew away that he had no cutie mark. He sat there wondering what it could be. End Of Part 2. Leave a Reply on what you think!
  18. It was a peaceful day in Equestria. All was well even for the average pony and the awkward problems they deal with. Luna was talking to Celestia about the things that have changed in the past 1000 years and what might be the most important to be familiar with, mainly recreational activities. Luna had never felt so out of place and before she was banished she had no time for activities. It was different this time around since Celestia was used to doing her work. She had used that her advantage lately. Playing target practice with the catapult and so on. She soon realized it too got boring after a while. She sighed in frustration. Work kept her busy before she was banished. She longed for something interesting to happen. Later that day her wishes would be granted. Around 3:00 a royal guard burst in the throne room. Out of breath he bowed to the sisters. " Huhhh... Huhh... The... changelings... have... threatened us... again, but they... claim it.. will be... different." Celestia was holding back a smirk. The thought was too funny for her to comprehend. "Do you think it will be different?" She asked the guard triumphantly. She thought she had him. "Yes." He responded "Here's why." He pulled out a pony's head from his saddle bag. It had a massive hole in the forehead and the back looks like it exploded. " We don't know what they did to him, but it was a gruesome sight where his body lay. Blood everywhere, chunks of his brain were scattered all over the ground and this thing was found near the body." He pulled another thing from his saddle bag, it looked like a golden cone. Celestia was horrified, while Luna was disgusted beyond her stomach. She resisted the urge to spew everywhere. " We don't have the elements of harmony within our possession and love isn't likely to save us again," Celestia said. " And we can't hold back an entire army. I didn't want it to come to this but we need outside help." " Are you suggesting we summon an entity for help?" Luna questioned. " Yes. Get Twilight Sparkle. This will require a lot of magic. We summon something that will help us and won't be reluctant." Celestia answered. Andrew wasn't your typical gamer. He loved games with a passion. Enough so he did research on the weapons he used in game. He did't like going outside or doing schoolwork or even watching cartoons. He sat in his bedroom with his Xbox, Wii U, and 3DS. He was happy that way. Although he did watch a few things. Some were The Walking Dead, MLP FiM, and you tube videos. As much of a gamer he was, he wished shooters had more logic. " Bull Shit!" He yelled. " A tomahawk doesn't kill you if it its your hand!" He sighed. He opened a liter of coco-cola and sipped away at it. He opened the disc drive and took out COD: Black Ops 2 and put in Battlefield 4. Something he liked way better than COD. Just as hopped in to a server. The power went out. " Perfect timing." He said sarcastically. Opening the fuse box in his bedroom and tried flipping the switch until his room turned back on. If too much is used a one time at his house it automatically switches off. It wouldn't turn back on. " Why? Did the city lose power?" He walked to the door and opened it to go get his dad and ask what happened. What he saw made him question his sanity. He saw three technicolor ponies right in front of him. He looked at the bottle of Coke and checked the ingredients. Nothing out of the normal. " I'm pretty sure that Coke had something in it." He said As he turned around to see his bedroom not there. " It's official I'm on a acid trip." Dropping the bottle the ponies looked at each other confused wondering what he just said. " Let me intro-" The white one was cut off. " Oh my lord! Did it just talk!?" He screamed " Sister are you sure this thing capable of helping us?" Asked the Navy blue one. Andrew went wide eyed and ran towards the window trying to jump out before he was levitated back to the ponies. "You gotta be shittin' me." He said. "Let me introduce my self. I'm princess Celestia. That's Luna and that's Twilight Sparkle." She pointed to the other ponies. " Why am I here?" He asked. "I hope it's not for for some dumb ass reason." He knew them well but he played along with the not knowing them. " We need your help, we are under threat by a powerful force that may destroy us and you are the best candidate." " I'm not gonna even question why," He rolled his eyes. " Why can't you handle you selves? Why need a human?" This he didn't know. " We are under threat. Our weapons are unavailable to us. But we can use our magic to use your weapons then you can teach us how to use them." Celesta said enthusiastically. Andrew wasn't a bad person. He knew they weren't evil and the inhabitants are fore the most part innocent. It wouldn't be fair to them if he turned them down. " OK I will do it. But it will involve killing since that's mankind's solution to solving fights." Celestia groaned. If this is what her magic brought to her it was the best solution. " Fair enough." She nodded unhappily. " Sister ponies don't know how to kill!" Luna exclaimed. " I can also help with that." Andrew suggested. " First we must disguise you." Her horn glowed and a in a instant Andrew was a pony. He looked at his hooves. Then his tail. Then his wings. " I never-" He stopped. His voice was feminine. " Why am I a Mare?! Why transform me?" He screamed. " It turned you into a pony so the others won't get suspicious. As for the Mare it was an accident." " Change me to a stallion!" He commanded " Sorry but we can't change pony's genders." She smiled apologetically. " I am not a pony though!" He shrieked. " You are now!" She said as she flew away. Andrew face palmed-err hoofed himself. "Come I'll show you your chambers. We'll get things straightened out after you get some rest." Luna sighed. "Good idea," He stumbled. " Oh *sqwee* I can't walk. What the *sqwee*. Oh I see how this is gonna be." He put his hoof of Luna as she helped him to his chambers. Celestia couldn't help but laugh. She stopped right after remembering why he is here. She had to make preparations. Andrew laid in his bed and thought one question. "How am I supposed to use guns with hooves?" End of Part 1

  24. I don't expect this thread to get many replies, but I still wanted to make it.There's another thread for bladed weaponry, about which I'm also passionate, but it stated clearly in the OP not to post guns. Well, fine. Be that way. This is the now the gun thread. To get things started I'd like to introduce you to my model 1895 Nagant, which was manufactured in 1943. It has a capacity of seven rounds. There's something really nifty about this old guy. It's a gas-seal revolver. Look at the gap between the cylinder and the barrel. When the hammer is cocked, the cylinder moves forward, creating a seal between the two.So if you had a threaded barrel for this revolver it could be fitted with a silencer. Accuracy isn't fantastic due partially to the way it's made and also the amount of strength it takes to fire. This gun requires about 20 lbs of force to fully pull the trigger if you shoot it double-action, a little less if you use it single-action. Obviously the more effort it requires to pull the trigger, the more your hand will want to waver. You also have to be careful with how you position your index finger. I have a tendency to pinch it in the trigger guard when I pull the trigger, which once resulted in a blood blister.
  25. A show know as Upotte!! and The series takes place at a school known as Seishou Academy. Unlike an average school, all the students are actually anthropomorphized guns, training to one day become a useful weapon. They are capable of drawing the weapons they represent from out of thin air and using them, and any student or her manifested gun can suffer from any gun-related problem the other might have. All students in Seishou train to shoot their target (literally) using live ammunition. So, what kind of gun would you be based on you personalities, when you were born and what countrie you are from?
