  1. So, while I've only surrounded myself around men and women who don't judge people such as myself, since a fraction of them actually watch the show themselves, but the only men I know who watches the show are finicky. One wears a necklace of Rainbow Dash, and the other posted a RD pic on his Facebook. But, I am also aware of the side of people which get judged for liking the show, are you one of those who get judged?
  2. As with many others, of all the images, memes, etc. I've seen that feature the brutalization of MLP, the Space Marines from Warhammer 40,000 are used the most frequently, or possibly all the time. Do these haters really think they're the most "manly" thing in the world that could easily bring down an entire race of ponies with one flick of the wrist? I just think manliness in general is absolutely stupid. I'm not trying to complain about haters, they can just keep on hating as long as it's far away from us and don't randomly bring it up, I'm just wondering how the Space Marines from Warhammer 40,000 basically became a frequent symbol of pony-brutalization. My dad, who plays it, even attempted to get me into it once, but I didn't really like how complex it looked. I can't remember if it was before or after he discovered I'm a brony.
  3. I know this might sound silly talk about haters or anti bronies but I got worry about if they know about we are talking about next generation of mlp by spreading rumors about it but will they hated like they did in gen 4?😫🚓🚓🚓
  4. why? Seriously, I have seen anti-bronies call us this SO many times. And it doesn't make any sense! So, why do they call us this?
  5. http://rock1053.iheart.com/media/play/27363847/ These fools on their radio show think that it is ok to bash us like this. For those here who think that the hate has faded or completely subsided, it has not. And then they find the least reputable people to take calls from that only make us look worse. They want to smear us and do not know that the majority of us bronies are good and just people. So there is a real problem here, people are ignorant and they hate us for no reason, so i think it's a wise choice to join ranks with me and we will advocate the truth, through any and all means. Please strongly consider this and don't write me off as exaggerating, this is a radio show in San Diego and this was aired on Monday at 8am, which is still a large hour for commuting and a lot of people wake up to morning radio shows. And with a population of more than a million people it is fair to say that the listeners may have reached the higher thousands. I will not stand by will people smear the one thing that makes me happy and spreading lies about a simple love for ponies. Sure the "C" action exists but they never make mention that the people who like MLP like "that" are much different than the interests of the typical brony. It isn't right and I will never stand for such actions taken against us. Please join with me, we can unite and properly advocate what we do, who we are, and what we like.
  6. (Disclaimer: This video isn't mine, it's by Fatalmephisto. I just wanted to share it) Warning: This video contains course language. I would like to know what your guy's thoughts are about this issue. I happen to agree with him on this.
  7. so the other day i was at college and i over heard a couple of lads( well they are more like the kind of boys who dont have many friends as highschollers whould call them wierdos) talking about bronies well they where more taking the piss and laughing at it as a 18 year old bisexual female the one thing they said really hurt me. some one asked what a brony was and these lads' answer was "well its a bunch of middle age guys who are creeps that like to get off over my little pony" i kept quiet because i didn't want them to think the same of me but yeah would would you do in a similar situation ?
  8. How do you guys deal with haters? Special methods? What are they? Just let me know whether you ignore them, start a comment war, or anything else.
  9. So during my adventures on xbox and pc multiplayer games, I have noticed that on more than one occasion, haters continuously call me an autistic brony. Of course, brony hating insults don't hurt me but I was confused as per why someone would insult another person with autism and why bronies are insulted to have autism. So I'm asking you guys if you have ever been insulted similarly, heard of where the insult originated or if this is just a coincidence.
  10. I've been seeing the term "haters" tossed around a lot recently. Aimed mostly at bronies who (like myself) don't like how Equestria Girls looks. Obviously, there are people who downright hate it. They see zero potential in it, have no intention of seeing it or giving it a chance, and some have said that they may "leave the fandom" over it, whatever that means. But there are also people like myself. I have reasons that I don't like what I've seen from Equestria Girls so far, and I can articulate those reasons in a (I hope) civil fashion. I intend to see it, because it deserves a fair chance. But from what I have seen so far, I don't think I'll like it. Hopefully I will be proven wrong. The thing is though, it feels like everyone who doesn't like EQ is getting lumped together and referred to as "hating on it". Hate is a strong word, and I don't think that describes everyone in that group. Maybe I'm only seeing those particular topics and most people don't think that way. Those topics just seem to be the ones popping up over and over. So what I want to know is, what is "a hater" in your mind? And do you believe that the above mentioned groups are indeed haters?
  11. handalerc here, but forget about that becuase i am mad! not at anti-bronies, not at people like "Dylan the hacker" but alas i am looking at the thing many a redneck use for fuel for anti-bronys. FOX news. Being British makes things hard to hear about things like this but when i watched balled of the brony last night i was shocked to here about what fox news says (i would make a what does the fox say joke but nah.) it was somewhere in the 40:00 mark when he showed a clip of FOX news talking about MLP: FIM makes people jobless because they quit their jobs to watch it! anyway rant over!
  12. It just baffles my mind! I have literally no clue as to how people would give their time and effort into hating Bronies. I just watched a college humor video called "My little brony toy commercial" and looked into the comments and oh boy, It was nuclear fallout with words. People literally said things like "Bronies should just all commit suicide" and "Bronies are a plague on humanity", amongst other more... profane examples. I didn't let it get to me because really, I couldn't give less bucks about hollow insults. But I still want to know, why do people hate bronies? Is it cool or something? Do people not know how to break social norms of "its a show about girls, so only girls can watch it"? What is it? I literally understood high school calculus better than this.
  13. Take a look at this: To this I say, BRING IT!!
  14. I wondered about this when I recalled my first ever Markiplier video (which happened to be "My Little Foundation"). During one of the videos in the series concerning that game, Mark mentions that he's not a Brony and he will never watch the show. It sprang to my mind that he probably just saved himself from a bunch of people unsubscribing to him with that sentence. Considering how Bronies sometimes get treated on forums (being banned for having a pony icon, for example), I imagine it would cause a major stink if a popular YouTuber declared he or she had joined the herd. So, opinions? And please don't say "If they don't like them being a Brony, they'll just ignore it unless it pops up in their videos". Sadly, that's not how the Internet works. You can devote 99% of your channel to everything else under the sun, but if a pony pops up anywhere there's going to be hate comments. I've seen the comments posted on some major YouTube channels that made one (literally ONE) video concerning ponies, as opposed to their thousands concerning other stuff. Needless to say, there was much swearing and cursing those "dang-blasted pny fgts fr infectin evrything!!!".
  15. HATE DETECTED!!! FIRE THE ORBITAL FRIENDSHIP CANNON!!!!! Celestia's Orbital Friendship Cannon is here to wreak friendship here on Earth!
  16. I promise, some of the hate crap I see all over the internet is just getting stupid. This fandom has been going on for 4 years. It seems like the haters would have calmed down already, I guess I was wrong. I don't hate them, but they are getting on my nerves. So tell me, what do you think about this people?
  17. This post is only to show that anti-bronies make no sense and should be ignored. I'm not worked up or anything, I just want to send a message. Anti-Brony Logic I had this thought in my head before getting to sleep, and I felt the need to let it out. Personally I don't call them anti-bronies, but just haters. Anyway, I have a problem with two of the most popular things the haters say. 1. "Bronies are gay and are attracted to ponies." I'm sure we've all seen this before, and it's probably a lot more vulgar but since children are on here too I don't want to go too far. This statement contradicts (I hope that's the right word) itself. It's implying we are attracted to the mane 6, which is also why they call us pedophiles because they think the mane 6 are underage girls. Because of this, we must be attracted to girls, too. Gay guys wouldn't get excited over a cartoon girl. Therefore, we can't be gay. Also, as Shire Pony Malinter said, the gay bronies were gay before they knew what My Little Pony was. This makes the haters homophobes. 2. "Bronies are cancer and need to go die." This one is ironic. Cancer tries to kill people and sometimes succeeds. As far as I know, bronies have never tried to commit murder. This sentence is basically trying to kill us by sending us death threats. This makes the hater closer to cancer than bronies. Yes, there are haters of every fandom, but the bronies are probably the ones who get these two "insults" (doesn't offend me, really) the most out of any fandom.
  18. My 3rd MLP themed video! Of course, this video is a joke. This isn't how I would normally react if encountered with a brony hater I hope you'll like it! http://youtu.be/ZPio9THhPAg
  19. I guess you could say that I am kind of surprised by all the hate people get for liking this show... I mean i know there are people out there who are quick to judge but honestly what is your opinions?
  20. There's so many genre's out there, and then there's Sub-genre's. Each and every genre has haters, but today everyone can be a hater. Let's just dis on random genre's, even if they are the one's you listen to. I will start with Big Room House "Big room house sucks so bad, because every drop is the same. One big kick with sub-bass and then Lots of synths with reverb after. Plus it takes forever for the drop to start." BTW i like big room house :3
  21. So i was just looking and some anti-brony stuff because well its just funny but i was wondering some times they sound really really mad or pissed to the point of mindless anger towards us sure you can hate us i got nothing against that but there hate is some times really deep and i don't get it we watch a program and people go to saying things like we need to die our way is best all of us must like kids it really gets to me that people say we are bad discussing people when there much worse that some of us i have seen on multiple ocations they go about "meet ups" just to get rid of all of us and just why its not like were trying to bring about world war 3 or anything this all brings up my question do some people really need to hate on others just to feel better or are people just dicks
  22. For example, I would assume Call of Duty, One Direction, the Simpsons, Game of Thrones, South Park, etc. What do you think typical MLP haters like, from all the things they could watch and do?
  23. So today during school some people were picking on me for watching My little pony, so I'm curious, how do you deal with all of the haters in real life?
  24. Recently I’ve recently read that there are some social justice warriors that seem to just pick on bronies, and some bronies that seem to return the favor. I think both ways of hate are wrong, but complaining isn’t going to help that. This is a long post, but it describes how to deal with hate and what it means to be a better person. Being a brony, encounters with bullies, social justice warriors, or internet hate is emotionally draining and stressful. These people criticize every move you make, and thrive in misery. This sort of thing would make anyone feel depressed, sad for what humanity has become. However, understanding how to deal with people and why this behavior happens can help you develop better strategies for dealing with hate, and being a better person. Understanding Human Behavior First let’s talk about some basic human reactions to negativity. Realize that negative people may not be concerned with the effect their behavior has on others, but rather they may want to get rid of their own uncomfortable feelings in the fastest way possible. We learn from experience; from a very early age we learn certain ways produce certain results. For example, Let's say we're a toddler: If we are hungry and we cry, someone will give us food. If we throw a tantrum, someone will pay attention to us and ask what is wrong. If we throw a big enough tantrum, people will leave us alone. These behaviors stay with us throughout our lives. As adults we're expected to repress these feelings of stress and in a calm, collected manner. However, expressing ourselves in a more socially acceptable way takes advanced communication skills, and often times I feel like many peopl haven’t developed that. Consequently, when people experience stress, they may lash out in unexpected and unfriendly ways. Typical Reactions to Stress When faced with a situation that causes them stress, many people react in unproductive or unfriendly ways. Usually this is because it is human nature to go into ego-protection mode when criticized. Here are some of the most common responses: The “know-it-alls” who boss others and believe they’re never wrong. (“Forget it—let me do it—All you do is mess everything up!”). They take on a victim role (“I never do anything right”) or simply withdraw from the situation (“Whatever.”). They behave in a rebellious way (“No way! You can’t tell me what to do!”). They respond with insensitivity, sarcasm or inappropriate humor (“Enjoy your pony art, freak.”). Sometimes people react to a stress in a combination of these ways. It all depends on what behaviors make people feel the most comfortable at the time. Strategies for Dealing With Negative People So what can you do when you get a bully that’s really gets under your skin? Take a close look at how you react. Are you reacting (out loud or to yourself) in one of the ways described above? Developing an awareness of how you deal with cynics will help you better deal with what you can control—yourself. When you become self-aware on how you react to stressful situations, two things happen. First, your awareness provides you with an opportunity to choose a different way to behave. Second, it enables you to maintain objectivity in the presence of stress. It helps you remember that other people’s negativity is not personal to you or to your situation. It is simply the way they express themselves when they feel insecure or uncomfortable. Creating and maintaining awareness of your own behavior and choosing to act in a different manner (i.e., not using your automatic ego-protective responses) prevents an encounter with a bully from escalating. It might not stop the person you are talking to from being negative, but it will provide you with control over your response to the situation. Your choice not to communicate in an unproductive way removes the likelihood that you will be replaying the conversation in your head for days or thinking of all the zingers you wish you’d said! Misery Loves Company Some people seem to thrive on making themselves or others miserable. Nothing you do or say can change that fact. After employing various productive communication strategies with a person like this and finding that nothing seems to work, ending your relationship might be the best thing you can do. This approach may not seem like an option, particularly if the person is "friend". However, there is usually a solution to dealing with negative people. Continue to talk positively with them and not see everything in a pessimistic viewpoint. If you find the person unbearable to be around even for a short time, keep calm and find talk with close family or other close friends more often. Above all, don't let them get trigger your ego-protective response. In All Honesty Dealing with critical people is difficult. Talking, working and even sitting by them can be very stressful, even when you try not to get involved with them. Take a break from that Tumblr or /MLP/ or any place where where people wants others to feel miserable. Develop ways to destress after an encounter with a negative person. I usually watch funny videos on Youtube or go outside and play a game of soccer., Try to find ways to release stress and diffuse your negative energy rather than perpetuate it. However you choose to destress, make sure you do it in a positive way. Going on a forum and complaining in public only amplifies that stress. ---------------------- I summed up my thoughts on how to deal with negativity on the internet. React calmly, be awesome, and find friends that support you when you feel down, not people who put you down when you're on your knees. Personally I've never had to deal with excessive brony hate, but it does exist out there. Don't give in to the satisfaction of misery. Don't lose your way!!! Brohoof /)
