  1. You arrive in Ponyville has a human what do you wear as you go about your life .
  2. *PLEASE CHECK POLL ABOVE BEFORE POSTING* A few months back I had a discussion with a buddy of mine as to why a human invasion of Equestria would fail. I keep coming back from time to time thinking about that discussion and considering jotting it down and possibly making a presentation of it. What are your opinions on it?
  3. There is no Humans in their world, yet some fans think there once was. If Equestria is Earth, or as in the fanon name Equis, wouldn't that mean the Human race is extinct? I have seen this a common fanon theory. Perhaps our fears of nuclear war did happen, thus the Human race became extinct. At any rate MLP FIM Pony archaeologists finding the remains of Humanity would be a dream come true. If fanon Human loving Lyra Heartstrings is an archaeologist, she would probably cry seeing the bones of Humans, and may want to find a way to resurrect (in fan fiction/multiverse it can happen) our race. All this leads to another question, where the hell did all the magic come into existence? The only logical answer as nonsensically silly as it sounds that literally magic leaked into our universe from another universe through a portal or something. Thus the sapient Ponies were created along with all the other sapient races by some sort of God. Also the our sun and moon is affected by the magic. Back to Human, if we did not destroy ourselves and the Pony archaeologists found an AI like Vigil from Mass Effect, that tells the fate of race going on along the lines of this video below. They would be terrified, seeing how even a galactic race could fall.
  4. Humans Vs Earth Ponies. Earth Ponies have no overpowered Mary Sue or Gary Stu Alicorns to help them. They can bleed and die just like everyone else. So whom would win in a medieval setting? No guns otherwise the Earth Ponies would have zero chance in winning if they still in a medieval setting, just swords, armor and bows. If either side wins, both do the same thing by putting them into a brutal dictatorship.
  5. Do you love Lyra? Like her? Know nothing about her? Whatever the case, this is the place to talk about the cutest, mintiest, and best background pony in all of Equestria! Until this month I barely noticed Lyra on the show. But then I looked at some pics, and it was like seeing her for the first time. Then I looked up some pictures, read 'Anthropology,' listened to music about her. Then I voted for her in the Most Attractive Pony poll and now I'm a fan for life. xD (You can vote Lyra too! Help her pull off the biggest upset in forum history! ) I don't just like Lyra, I LOVE her. I can't get that unicorn out of my head. I didn't understand background pony nuts or WAIFU fans before, but oh god, I think I've become one. Or both. So here's a topic about her. Tell me what you think about her, what kind of pony you think she is, post cute pictures of her...anything and everything Lyra!
  6. Most other mammals have expressive ears that they can move to show emotion and pick up sound. I've always wished humans had ears like that. I mean, it would look really strange if people could suddenly move their ears, but I'm talking about what if humans evolved to have mobile ears like horses. I love the idea of being able to flatten your ears when angry or upset, or prick them up when happy or excited. I figure it would be voluntary. Like, you wouldn't have to move your ears, so if you don't want others to be able to read your emotions you could remain immobile. But I love the idea of that whole other dimension of expression. Thoughts?
  7. The second part of this little trio of themed readings will be "Now I Know In Part" by Cynewulf. A story of Twilight, and repetition. As always, it will take place in the Poniverse Discord, in the Storytime voice chat channel. You can join us beforehand, during and after in the Library Lounge text channel as well - I'd very much like to know if you enjoyed it, or have constructive criticism. Hope to see you there, Quinch
  8. Blaze the Pegasus is a series I've been working on for quite a while, it takes place in the same universe as MLP:FIM, but in the future of the year 2124. We've seen franchises where aliens invade our world, Earth, and destroy monuments and governments to take over. But what if we were the aliens invading another planet? In Blaze the Pegasus, humanity finds a planet inhabited by ponies and declares war to take over their world to mine it for its resources. Since this takes place in the future, ponies no longer use spears and swords to fight back, they use machine guns and tanks like humanity does today. One soldier however, plans to end the war once and for all, Captain Blaze Ishtar, otherwise known as, "Blaze the Pegasus." I will give you the link to both the trailer and the first episode, I hope you enjoy it, and if you like it, please do subscribe to my Youtube channel, ThunderBlaze Studios if you wish to see more content produced by me, and support me by sharing my vids on Instagram, Google+, Twitter and/or Facebook. (The show is animated in gmod and sfm in case you are wondering.) Trailer: Episode 1:
  9. Do you think we'll ever see a human in the Pony realm? Do the ponies recall travelling to become Equestria Girls? I haven't seen those so can't comment. Many other animals appear in their world so perhaps humans will crop up... Thoughts? :-D
  10. Hello there! I decided to finally publish this thing I had in my drawer for too long. The quality is not good and I can't do anything to improve it right now (too busy with my job, PG studies and making a game). Next parts will be published as somewhat cleaned sketches, so... uh... yeah. The reason is simple - there are two types of people. Those who dig read comics mainly for story and those who read them mainly for picture. My comic at this moment is for the former. Those who thought "Hey, a familiar title" would be right. This is a copied name of "A Certain Scientific Railgun" and there are some copied story elements. But aside from that, there is almost nothing copied from "To Aru" series. Almost... Ahem. Here are the links. The second part is already at the state of "sketches" (though there is only one page at the moment): Part 1 (14 pages) Part 2 (1 page as of now)
  11. I'll be posting here and updating the first post here and there with new art. Comments and critique or character requests will be accepted! Art from my Request thread will also be brought here.
  12. What do you think? We saw a balloon of a humanoid snowman and a toy Santa. It's weird.
  13. So, I've never seen Equestria Girls, but I am confused as to how some words work. Would Ponyville be Humanville, Canterlot be Runlot or Skiplot, Derpy Hooves be Derpy Feet, and the Mane Six be the Hair Six? That doesn't sound right?
  14. I just wanted to ask you guys what you thought of the concept of "human in Equestria" as a plot point in fan fiction, etc. Personally. I think it's not in itself a bad idea, but it's an illogical one. In my opinion, Equestria Girls illustrated that crossing into the pony universe turns humans into ponies, so it shouldn't be possible for a human to be in the pony world. So overall, I don't like the concept, unless it is given a believable explanation, then it is acceptable in my opinion. So, what do you all think? Fire away with your opinions~
  15. i just watched eq friendship games last night and loved it, but ive been thinking about somethinghat doesn't quite make sense. how are there alternate reality versions of the ponies at canterlot high, especially luna and celestia? it doesn't make sense considering luna and celestia are thousands of years old and twilights age is debatable. my first thought was that maybe it was like Narnia, that a day hear is like a few hundred years there, but that couldn't work either seeing as twilight would be a adult when she appered in the second eq movie, and even older in the third! its driving me INSANE!!! PLZ POST THOUGHTS!
  16. I have ideas for humans native to Equestria, and they would be humanoid fantasy races. There are the Elves, Pixies and Fairies. Their homelands are the plains and forest regions and they all have the greatest affinity towards magic out of all the humanoid races. Elves are generally tall and lithe, and are divided in number of distinct cultures. The most prominent is the medieval Sidhe, who are powerful magic users and have a warrior culture based around hierarchy and their chivalric code. The other prominent elven culture is the Drow, known for having have no inhibitions towards dark magic. Other cultures are the forest dwelling nymphs and the female dominated Amazons. The petite pixies live under the Sidhe, and the winged fairies live in kingdoms in the forests. There are the Gnomes, short and hairy beings and mostly live in cities in and around the mountains. They have a industrial civilization, known for their mines and forges and are famous craftsmen. Some gnomish city-states have a militaristic culture. There are the Goblins and Hobgoblins. Corse and gnarled beings, Goblins lived deep in the mountains and are often in rivalry with the gnomes. They are regarded as crafty and subtle, and are famous for their shrewd merchants and infamous for their raiders, air-pirates and privateers. The hobgoblins are their smaller cousins. There are the Ogres, giants who also dwell in the mountains if not in the forests. Often allies with goblins, they organize themselves into war bands and citadels and would tend to raid other kingdoms. These races would probably live in a continent on the other side of Equestria, and they may or may not worship Celestia and Luna as goddesses.
  17. OK, so Twilight Sparkle that is a pony inside but a human outside falls in love with a human. Weird or no?
  18. September 25th, 2014: If you are wondering why I have not talked in days, I will explain shortly. But first, let me tell you a bit about myself if you don't know me. My name is Jacob, although my internet name is Ludicrous.Speed. I am a huge fan of My Little Pony, which may surprise some people since I am a fourteen-year-old boy. However, I'm not alone on that. Anyways, remember that fact. It will be important. My story begins on the 21st. I had been writing a new short story for my book that I wanted to get published when I stumbled upon a broken pencil. I decided that I would get a new pencil from my desk. I walked into my office and opened up the desk drawer with my writing supplies. This included a sharp, pointy No. 2 pencil. I grabbed it. I hummed a short ditty I can now recognize as "Twist and Shout" by the Isley Brothers. It was a grand day for me as I was on the last of the short stories needed to finish the book. I closed the drawer and began exiting the office. However, something that was nothing short of spectacular clouded my mindset. A great big flash of colors filled the room. Red, blue, green, purple, orange, and yellow; all of them were shot towards me. And then, SLAM! I was pushed down onto the carpet by some mysterious force! I stood there in a daze for a few moments. I was scared- no, terrified by what was happening. Actually, what was happening? Once I had collected my bearings, I opened my eyes. Lying on its furry back was a red horse. Scratch that, a small red horse. It was a pony, not unlike the ones from the cartoon. I couldn't believe it. How could a strangely-colored pony appear inside of my office through a beautiful light show? Now, any My Little Pony fans probably have already figured it out. It's a My Little Pony character, isn't it? the fans are probably thinking. The thing is, I couldn't really tell... But then it woke up. My previous thoughts vanished as it grinned. Now all I could think about was how adorable it was. I've found horses to be adorable, and he or she was no exception. This was when I realized that it was now awake. I waved and whispered kindly, "Hello, little one. What's your name?" It felt very cheesy saying it, but I continued as if it was what you'd always say. "Do you have a name?" I began thinking that this could be a normal pony, and that I was acting like an idiot, but there was the fact that this pony had entered through some sort of light show. I extended my arm, and the red pony set its head on it. It neighed. So this must have been a normal pony right? But then it... it giggled. Like not a horse-tone giggle. I mean a human-like giggle with the tone and everything. "There has to be an explanation for this," I said without thinking. There was no way that a character from a children's cartoon had appeared in my office. Then again, I had never seen this pony on the show at all. Could it have been some background character I had missed? No, that couldn't have been possible. I had known all the background characters by heart at that point, so I would have seen this character. And the pony was less cartoonish than expected from one of the characters. He or she seemed sad. It didn't seem as vibrant as the characters from the show. So this left many questions, although there were only two main ones: Who was this pony and what was up with her attitude? "So can you talk?" I asked the pony. It did something that should have been impossible. It nodded. I'm being serious as hell here. No lies, no tricks, no deception, I'm telling you everything here. It was just a simple nod. The pony cleared her throat. By now, I had had no doubt that this was a My Little Pony character, and this action confirmed my idea even more than the nod. But then, something wonderful- something completely wonderful -happened. The pony finally said something. It was one word, sure, but it was the most effective word in such a situation. It was one that changed all knowledge about the universe and about God. This changed my whole perspective of life. And this all happened because of a single world. Would you like to know what that word was? Well, here I go. The word was "yes." "Yes" changed my religious attitude, my scientific mindset, and my view of everything else immediately after being said. "Yes" brought new light to the question of if there was life out there beyond Earth. All questions had the same answer that this sorrowful red pony had given me. "Yes" was the answer to if there were extraterrestrials. "Yes" was the answer to religious zealots and doubters. "Yes" was the answer to all of humanity's problems. The day became an infinite more times glorious than a few minutes prior. I wished for nothing more than to expose this beauty of unknown nature to the world, to let it be known that peace could be accomplished. But then I realized that that would be wrong to the red pony. It probably had a race of beings just like us out there, searching the skies for the same purpose humanity had decided on. They probably had eventually reached the conclusion that I had come to. They stayed at peace with humanity, and humanity needed to stay at peace with them. I eventually reached the end of this thought process as my eyes fixated on the intelligent pony in the room with me. I cleared my throat just like he or she had done just moments before and asked, "What is your name, if I may ask?" It stared at me as if I was crazy, but eventually, it replied, "Lucy. Lucy Diamonds." So it was a she. I took a minute to let this sink in. I was in the room with a magical talking mare from a fictional children's cartoon. What. The. Hell. ---- For the next couple of hours, we talked about each other's lives. It was hard to talk about Lucy's life as she could only remember her friends and not her past. I guessed that it was some form of amnesia. At one point, she blew on her in a similar fashion to Fluttershy from that one meme and left me agape. Hidden in her pink hair was a red horn. Lucy was a unicorn. "So how long has that been there?" I inquired, not realizing the magnitude of how stupid my question was. Lucy chuckled. She explained in a cheery fashion, "It's always been there, silly. Not many ponies notice it because of my long mane." Yes, she had gotten out of her deep depression once she had opened up to me. "Ah, I see. You know, you need to stay somewhere. And you can't go to a hotel or somewhere else because of... you know... you being a pony..." I scratched my neck at this sudden increase of awkwardness. "So you can sleep in the guest room if you'd like." Lucy's eyes widened. She began galloping and told me, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She smiled. "It's no problem. It's actually my brother's room, but he's on a business vacation for another week or so. So, you know, stay as long as you like and mi casa su casa or whatever." I laughed. This was stupid to say, and I knew it, but I had to keep Lucy's spirits up. So for the past three days, I've been helping a talking unicorn to adjust to a human's life. It's been a tough time, but I feel as though it is worth it to see a smile on the pony's face.
  19. Wrote this on a blog a few minutes ago, but I realized it was a pretty decent debate subject: Ah, breathing... Existing... It feels good isn't it? Who would come to think that because of the most trivial of reasons, you can feel? Who would even conceive the odd idea of a simple coincidence being the reasons of your... Well... Being.? Now, think about a little, rat-like critter, that due to random luck is one of the first common ancestors of the mammals, hence bearer of an essential, necessary portion of our gene pool. Long story short, he tripped over some rocks and fell from a cliff to his certain demise. Another one, more familiar you may say: Your great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather is working on the fields. Haphazardly he steps over a bee hive, therefore causing the wrath of the minuscule beasts. He flees as fast as he can, but the stings are swelling his skin into painful welts, the venom is now fluxing through his veins and affecting his senses. Within minutes, he falls over, exhaling his last breath. One more? Alright. Your grandfather (During his younger days) stumbles upon his kitty cat (The lazy feline really loves his cozy rug, but alas, that fine piece of carpet is interposed between the poor man's couch and his radio), due to the abrupt plunge, his head hideously smacks against the table, therefore causing your likely pap's death. Now you may ask, what's the point of this? Well, just behold those 'feasible' outcomes (That thankfully never came to happen.). Isn't it just absolutely amazing? What if the first case (Even if it's pretty vague and only made to give an idea of what I meant.) actually happened? You're right there, sitting on your chair, reading this dumb post in a webpage wich target is a community of followers of a TV show by the sole reason that THAT thing/person didn't/couldn't or did/could do THAT thing, Where does that leave us? Is any of our daily deeds, as trivial as they can get, truly affecting the outcome of something bigger? Something that could change the course of history (familiar, national or even worldwide) itself? Feeling more important now? You should. Everything is a possibility, all we can hope is for it to be a one of improvement, instead of decay. That's why in my opinion, life itself is fueled by uncertainty. Any thoughts about the matter?
  20. If you were to go to equestria would you rather stay as a human or would you rather be changed into a pony or a griffon? and why would you want to be changed? ( Not sure if this has been done before. And I also wasn't to sure were to put this topic )
  21. Someponies will come up to me and ask why I have dolls of human characters instead of the versions that are ponified. I realize why ponies like to have pony versions of characters who are not ponies. It is because when you make something like yourself it becomes easier to relate to. This is why fiction often has characters around the same age as the target audience. It is their way of saying: "Hey reader, everypony hear is just like you! These are your kind of ponies" Well, I guess I'm a purist at heart when it comes to certain characters. If they were created to be a certain species than they should stay that species as respect to their creator. This is also because sometimes ponies get confused as to what kind of pony (or nonequine) species a character should be. There was interest to do a ponified version of the old collection of tales known as "A Nightmare on Elm Street". The pony who thought of this was a stallion named Wes Cloven. Mr. Cloven originally had the idea to make an alicorn because of Princess Luna's ability to see into dreams. Well, Luna herself got word of this and wasn't really happy about the idea of a murderous monster that she felt was a personal attack on her. Not wanting to anger Princess Luna or Celestia for that matter, decided to just make Freddy into a regular unicorn instead. There is also the case of Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" folklore. Originally ponified as an earth pony with the ponied name Bubba Sawbuck by Tobe Hoofer, Leatherface was redone by a Michael Rein with Leatherface this time having the name Thomas Hoovitt and being a pegasus. despite being in a family of eath ponies. Leatherface (Hoovitt) was made a pegsus in this version to point out that he had been adopted by Luda Mane Hoovitt the patriarch of the canibalistic Hoovit clan. Now if you must know when it comes to Leatherface I prefer Thomas Hewitt (human name of course) to Bubba Sawyer (again human name) although I guess you could debate about weather or not they are the same character. The doll I have is of Thomas Hewitt by the way which is why he is seen to have a crudely made fake limb made from a human arm bone and a hook . Now all this aside about the ponification of Human folklore I suppose I should discuss the most famous instance of a human character that came not from Human Folkore, but from the mind of a regular pony. Many of us we'll remember the days when we would open up a book by author Ponnie Zacherein and read about strange looking ponies. Mrs. Z. had a strange way of drawing her fellow ponies, but what is interesting is that her books were fantasy stories about these pony characters interacting with a human girl named Megan as well as her two siblings. Some ponies have suspected that there is more to these books then meets the eye, that at one point ponies did talk to humans like the character Megan, and that the strange design of the ponies was actually done to show how we ponies looked at an earlier point in our evolution. In other words some say that these tales take place in a time before the "Great Disappearance of Humanity" when humans somehow vanished without a trace. There has been many ponies who have speculated differently about the fate of humans, but I think that is a topic for another day. Right now I have to go fly off somewhere to do some shoppng down by Sweet Apple Acres.
  22. Okay, kind of a weird question, but hear me out. A lot of bronies have discussed inclusion of various characters from earlier generations in FiM (Tirek, Smooze and Seaponies seem to be the most common). Personally, I think it would be interesting to see how Megan would be characterized by the FiM team. Now, I have seen several topics regarding humans in Equestria in general, but not Megan specifically, so I decided to make a topic about her. I know a lot of people would probably cringe at the idea of a human character in FiM, but if the storytellers do a good job, I think it could make for a very interesting storline. For those who don't know, Megan was a major character in MLP: Generation One, a young girl who came from a universe outside Ponyland (at least, I think) and befriended the ponies and helped them save their world from Tirek in the first special and returned for several important missions in later episodes and the movie. She is the bearer of the special "Rainbow of Light" which was used to defeat Tirek, Catrina and the Smooze. In the original special, Megan is perhaps the most developed character. As a kid, I actually liked her as much if not more than the ponies themselves. Because she was the only human on the show at first, I could also relate to her better than to the ponies. So, what if, somehow, Megan appeared in the FiM universe? How would she interact with the new, better-developed ponies? IMO, since the ponies in FiM are young adults, maybe Megan would be a twenty-something instead of a kid. Perhaps she could be a college student who used to believe in unicorns/magic, but outgrew it and became disillusioned with the world. Maybe she'd be sort of sarcastic, negative, even a bit depressed. How she would get to Equestria, I have no idea. In the original, Megan was from a world outside that of the ponies, so if she appeared in FiM, this would still probably be the case. I found a few fanarts of FiM style Megan, so I guess I'm not the only one to have this idea.
  23. The last equestria girls movie was not a good. It lacked a good pacing and a somewhat interesting plotline. There was really nothing that was fun to watch, no action. Just everyday high school social crap. Although, the second movie does seem to be promising in terms of more thing to put your into. The 3 new ponies seem interesting yest creepy and the songs are undoubtedly better and I particularly was happy to see that Sunset Shimmer is now in the group. For this movie, I am predicting a mane 7 as compared to 6. As we probably all know, EG 2 is coming out. Until then, we still have a lot to put our fingers on. Stay brony, Technicolor Brony
  24. You get a knock on the door and the crusaders are standing there with a note asking for you to take care of them for the week end . What would you do with them , A if they were still ponies that can talk B if they were humans
  25. I know that the title has been stuck as "My Little Pony", instead of some other, but what is the value of "My" in the title, since Equestria has virtually no humans (unlike G1)? Is it now that girls have some role models in the ponies/main characters? Or is it something else in the value of the "My" part, since it may suggest Humans valuing the ponies (although they are absent in the main setting)?
