  1. Most videogames have an intro right before the main menu pops up (or after, depends on the game - it is basically there to give you a rough idea and a taste of what is in store) What is your favorite or most memorable? Mine is the one from Call of Duty 1.

    MLP:FiM Complete intro

I'll be straight on this one: Do you find the entire MLP:FiM intro melancholy? I kinda find it to be that way I know that it was meant for a show that teaches how great friendship is, and how friends are important in our lives, so I thought I found it to be like that because I had no friends...aaaand nope! I have friends, many friends! So, that's not the right answer...but maybe I've gone very close...maybe I find it sad because it makes me see many great personalities which can not be related to ANY of my friends'. They are all great pals, and I always have lots of fun spending time with them, but really, none of them actually reflects any personality showed in the series...but I wouldn't be sure about that either, because it may affect my thoughts partially, but in the end I like them the way they are. Also, I happened to find someone else in the YouTube comment section who didn't know why that theme made him cry...so I basically found another one in my same situation (yes, it made me cry, too). So, what could the reasons be? Do/did you find yourselves in the same situation? If so, how do/did you deal with it?
  3. [Spoiler: Villian shown] By the looks of things, this is what part of, if not the whole original intro could have looked like. However, Hasbro decided to ditch this intro for the one that made the final cut. Personally, I really dig this deleted intro. I would have liked to have seen this intro along with parts of the final intro incorporated into the movie. This intro scene gives a better explanation to non-pony fans of who the princesses are. Plus, the deleted intro introduces the villain in a cooler more eviler way. Let me know what intro you prefer in the poll. Why do you think Hasbro dropped this intro? Leave your thoughts and opinions below.

Will there be a new intro?

Almost every season there had been some changes to the intro but I don't know if this season will. I assumed that the new purple logo from comics and merchandicing could be used but the trailers have the old one. Do you think some characters like Trixie could make to the intro? Or that the theme song could finally be changed (I know, its never going to happen).

    Gaming Best game intros?

My candidates: Final Fantasy X: Kind of narm, but still well put together. It's kind of weird how it goes through about halfway before you get to the title screen, and then goes through once you start the game. W/e Shenmue: FATHER! NOOOOOOO! Jokes aside, this is probably the most cinematic intro I've seen yet. And in the actually good way, not 30fps garbage. Fallout: Easily the best, by a faaaaaar margin. Excellent music, excellent visuals (I'm a sucker for late 90s pre-rendered 3D), and manages to be short and to-the-point while also giving you plenty of information about the world and its circumstances. Must see:
  7. Hi guys, currently we don't have a member in the Snapshots Studios who does 2D digital animation. If anyone would like to be a 2D animator for the official upcoming audio play short, called Marella; please comment below for your interest and ask for details. Then I will send you a pm. We don't ask for any characters and we only want advanced text. Only 1 or 2 animators may join in the project.
  8. For some reason I feel like it would be a good idea to take the original Rock Band into and turn it into a brony animation. For those who don't know... Who wants to do it? It might be a stupid idea, but who knows?

    The Mad Man

Once someone told me ``If you keep it in, eventually it will kill you`` This made me think, not at the meaning, but at the fact as a whole. So this bastard of a blog was born from it. I promised in the desciption a story and this is what you`ll get With a great momentum and not so great day, our story starts on valentine`s day. My day of birth and many other people B-day on this planet... My parents told me it was a snowy and hard day, but they were the happiest people, because I was the main rockstar that sang that day, with really powerfull lungs... I must add... With my blue, perfect eyes I .... it gets kinda strange... let`s say this story with my name With a pair of blue perfect eyes Iser (Heh catchy), Iser glanced at the world he was born in, AND you know what the world did to Iser ?.... changed his eyes because he glanced to much, so today Iser is now changing his eyes from green to brown just like that *snap*. Fast forwarding with all the nonsense of a great childhood, and a great family, and a handfull of friends, not too many friends, We see Iser at the top of his mental breakdown...... at 14 y old.. His parents discovered he was such a bright star, and great mind that they pushed him to enter higschool at the age of .....FOUR god dam TEEN years old.... But our little crumble of hope had no problem with this, so he started highschool with a smile , and like every teenager he found depression....... what a surprize... In a hopeless world he was not the spark, this is what he thought about himself. All that made Iser go on was science, art, and of course the weirdest of them all he found Love, in a hopeless place, all this three elements made him a whole and made him remember why life is beautifull and why is there a reason to live. But as we know it by now, Iser is still a teenager, so what he knows, right ?, I mean he thinks life is beautifull.......... that`s a kids story. Iser found the recepy to succes with problems here and there, science was easy, read the book and learn it like it is, art is easy express yourself and to it in a way that everyone can read, view, or hear it, and Love will be the perfect feeling..... so this is what he thinked at the moment... what Iser doesn`t knows is that deep down, in his warm and sometimes cold hearts love is writen by a guy named Fred, in his office right in his hearts in the right atria. The problem is that Fred writes like a blind racoon in a bag punched by sharks with baseball bats and top hats. None could read what his heart was writing, and then one girl showed up........ooooooo.... cute 83......... and she raised her hand and said ``I would love to read your heart``, at least this is what Iser remebers... Little that he knew,... that this girl will soon not only steal his hearth, but also rip it apart. And so it happened on a not so sunny day on valentine`s day just before he left to college, young Iser was shot down like a wabbit on hunting season...with not a sigle repair and no turning back, our dear Iser finished highschool with a blast, with hugs, with friends, with cake.... there was a lot of cake, but not enough to fill his whole in his chest. As weeks passed by and nighmares were starting to crawl in his mind young Iser woke every night looked in the mirror with a scared face, and every night when he woke up he saw how a young foolish child reached to become a somehow whole man. With 2 more pieces left in his life he had to make a decission either science or art, ``were should I go`` he asked, some of his friends said to go left, some right, but at every phrase everyone that Iser asked finished with ``hey, just follow your dreams``....... WHAT A GREAT HELP !!! With a firm hand he opened the door on his left, the door of science and pioneers and engineering........bummer His favorite books were sci-fi, his favourite movie was, will,is star wars, he reapaired cars, motors, toys and electronics since he was 8..... and yes he might broke some... but at least he lost time in this, he knew this was his passion, so ``why not`` he said, he said..... it will be fun ....he said So he completed the form, he got his notepad ready, and our dear wonder kid with a bright smile all the day started college, ``cute girls, great classes, old enough to drive and party all night`` this is what he read from a flyer at the entrance........a very colorfull flyer I must add. Not too long after he entered his first class, he sit down and shake hand with his old friend, DEPRESSION...
  10. I did a pitch shift of the intro, i'd say it's good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70EkB1Ej8HQ
  11. yes it's a bit longer - but it just has so much more vigor and less of a girly feel to it - I always like to return and listen to it anyone else aware that it existed? and are there any other mlp intros from other countries that you favour? I know a lot of peoples beef is with the mlp intro..

    Gaming Your best boss intros

So, what are your most favorite boss introductory sequences from gaming, and why? Most boss intros can be quite epic and awesome, and certainly help set the mood for the impending battle. Which ones do you find the most exciting, terrifying or just plain amazing?
  13. Considering they reused animation from the intro at the end of this weeks episode, do you think that the photo they took at the end may replace the one used in the intro currently?
  14. AmbientBeat

    I am New Here.

Hi. My name is Ambient Beat. I'm new here. I know it's such a painfully generic intro, but I dont know how else to announce my forum debut. I am 18. Born in New York, grew up in Fresno and LA, and I currently live in Whidbey Island, which is an island barely an hour's drive away from the much more preferable Seattle, depending on the ferry ride and the traffic. I'm an artist, writing stories with a vocabulary level of a Wikipedia article, blueprinting games I'm never going to make, making videos that are insanely cringy, and drawing pictures of my OC with bedroom eyes(because I cant draw fully open eyes). But my overall favorite hobby is music. I love music, it's all I do mostly, and it's what I base my other art off of. I study theory and genres, and I experiment with several genres, listening to even more. My favourite genres are IDM, Chillwave, New Wave(and every genre influenced off it), Old Skool Hip Hop and 80's/90's rave. Ihave two musical projects: Face for Radio, an IDM/Experimental Rock/Breakbeat/Whatever genre I'm into at the time project, and its pony themed expansion, Ambient Beat, with my OC, which is just like Face for Radio, but more pop based and pony themed. I have a couple places to hear my stuff, including two BandCamps which I cant remember the logins for(hence the reason I have two). The account where I have the most music is my Soundcloud, so be sure to give me a listen. Keep in mind my music is mostly based on sound, so it sounds a bit weird. Top 10 video game intros

Much like movies, books, and TV shows, Video Games also need to have a strong opening, one that will get your attention, whether it be the game's opening before the starting menu, the introduction sequence, or even just the first level, they all must do their part to inform the player what they are getting into, what should they expect, or it's just awesome enough to keep your attention, and the following 10 are the ones, I feel at least, do it the best 10) Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3: Ore Wa Tokoton Tomaranai!! Budokai 3's intro needs no introduction. While the anime sequence is great and all(heroes vs bad guys insane fights showing what DBZ is about, as well as showing how far the Budokai series has gone by showing off the new stuff they had(at the time)), 9) Call of Duty The Finest Hour: The Battle of Stalingrad Finest Hour drops you into one of the bloodiest battles of World War II unarmed, in a really crappy boat in one of the broadest rivers in the world, all while being pummeled by enemy aircrafts, . The only reason it's lower on the list is because the game itself kind of sucks, but goddamn it's worth playing just for the intro alone. 8) No More Heroes 2: Vs Skelter Helter Right off the bat No More Heroes 2 starts of with something the first game was famous for: Insane Boss fights. Games starts with a battle between Travis and Skelter Helter, a guy who's an obvious parody of Cloud and is the brother of the assassin whom Travis killed in the intro-sequence/trailer of the first game. The beginning also gives a rundown of all the game's controls in the first minute of the game in battle and ways to execute certain attacks and maneuvers, serving as a quick and simple tutorial for the game as well. Also it's accompanied with an 7) Bioshock: Welcome to Rapture Bioshock intro does an excellent job of telling players what to expect going into the game. After the plane the main character(Jack) is on crashes into the ocean, and with him being the only survivor, he swims towards a lighthouse that sends him to an underwater city known as Rapture. At first it looks amazing until you run into your first splicers and Big Daddies with in the creepy underwater city. Armed with only a wrench(though you get more weapons later), you must now venture the dark and eerie tunnels and fight off madmen in order to make it back to the surface 6) Medal of Honor Frontline: One More Soldier Reporting Sir (damn 9gag) Whereas the Finest Hour succeeded starting off with Stalingrad, Medal of Honor Frontline sure as hell succeeded starting off with the most famous battle of World War II, D-Day. Starting off with the words above, then right away pits you getting ready to storm the beach. 5) Final Fantasy X: Otherworld Final Fantasy X did what many probably never expected from a Final Fantasy game... accompanying the game's premier monster destroying the main character's hometown, which would also serve as one of the game's main goal's. To go from this to a pop concert intro in the sequel is still a huge letdown 4) Super Mario Bros.:1-1 It's 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. That's all that needs to be said 3) Megaman X: Riding on CarsCentral Highway Normally most Megaman games starts you right off by having you choose a robot master and playing their level. But with Megaman X they decided a to give you an introductory level, which still serves as one of the best intro-levels ever made, as it gives the players a perfect opportunity to experiment with whatever they have and try out many of the game's new mechanics(such as wall climbing and such), Then you run into your first boss and rival Vile, and one you cannot beat. Then when you think your screwed, your best friend Zero comes and saves you. Once you see Zero pretty much surpassing you in every way imaginable, it gives you the motivation to improve yourself in order to surpass him by the end of the game and defeat Vile 2) Final Fantasy VIII: Liberi Fatali It was really close to being number 1 but out of personal bias I had to give it number 2. Personally I consider FFVIII one of the greatest soundtracks ever made(and 2nd personal favorite game in the series right after Tactics). The intro needs no introduction, Nobuo Uematsu absolutely goes all-out with the orchestra, the game shows off it's excellent sound design and a particularly fantastic-looking FMV sequence(which is surprising considering most PS1 FMV look atrocious nowadays). It's a little silly when you find out the sword fight was a mere training sequence, but nonetheless, it's quite a way to start off your game. 1) Metal Gear Solid 3: SNAKE EATEEEEERRRR!!!!! Ayup. Unsurprising to a lot of people, I gave MGS3's intro the top spot. The intro is shown off after the failed Virtuous Mission earlier in the game. It serves as a great representation of many of the game's traits as well as an excellent homage to James Bond. All the while your still mesmerized by the the song's vocals and instruments, the theme songs also foreshadows much of the game's main plot both in the background FMV and in the song itself.

    MLP around the world~

So, has anyone ever taken the time to check out the show in different languages? It's kind of fun seeing that sometimes, some of the songs sound better than in English. At the same time, some places, like Canada, actually censored many things, like a good bit of the 'Party of One' dialogue during Pinkie's breakdown. Here's some examples. The italian version of the opening: Or Flutterguy in multiple languages! (Watch out for french Flutterguy. Sexy voice.)

    Introduction and 1. CM Punk

I guess some of you may know, that i am a huge wrestling fan and that i know alot about this great sport (or atleast, it's marketed as a sport.) So i decided to make a list of 100 Wrestlers, that made me very happy to watch over the years. Be it their in ring abilities, be it their mic skills, be it both, etc. I will also post a little biography to each wrestler, which of course are from different sources and which i will post at the end of each blog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dms9y0m9ZDc Phillip Jack "Phil" Brooks (October 26, 1978), better known by his ring name CM Punk, is an American mixed martial artist and former professional wrestler. He is best known for his time with WWE. He was titled in the company as "the longest-reigning WWE Champion of the modern era", having held the title for 434 days from November 20, 2011 to January 27, 2013. Punk is officially recognized as having the sixth-longest championship reign of all time. He is the fifth longest-reigning champion in the title's history, after Bruno Sammartino & Bob Backlund (who had over 2000) and Hulk Hogan & Pedro Morales (who had over 1000). Punk's reign is the longest during the time it was called 'WWE Championship' while Hogan's is the longest during the time it was called 'WWF Championship' (narrowly eclipsing Backlund's second reign). Sammartino's reign occurred when it was called 'NWA Championship' and his second reign made him the longest-reigning in the 'WWWF Championship' as well (narrowly eclipsing Morales). In professional wrestling, Punk is a seven-time World Champion, having held the ROH World Championship and ECW Championship once each, WWE's World Heavyweight Championship three times, and the WWE Championship twice. He has also won the World Tag Team Championship (with Kofi Kingston) and the WWE Intercontinental Champion, making him the 19th WWE Triple Crown Champion and the fastest man in WWE history to achieve this record at 203 days. Between WWE and Ring of Honor (where he is a two-time World Tag Team Champion), Punk has won a total of 11 championships. He was also the winner of the 2008 and 2009 Money in the Bank Ladder Matches (the only wrestler to win the match twice in a row), and was the 2011 Superstar of the Year Slammy Award winner. Punk initially came to prominence through his career on the professional wrestling independent circuit, primarily as a member of the ROH roster. There, he was the first head trainer of the ROH Wrestling School. Also while competing in ROH, Punk won both the company's championships. In 2005, Punk signed a contract with WWE and was sent to its developmental promotion, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he won every championship available in that promotion. On June 24, 2006, Punk made his WWE television debut, performing in ECW, which was then a branch of WWE. Throughout his career, Punk has consistently used the gimmick of being an outspoken, sharp-tongued, and straight edge iconoclast. Punk's straight edge principles when in character are based on his actual way of life out of character. Depending on Punk's alignment as a fan favorite or villain, he has emphasized different aspects of the culture to arouse the desired audience reaction. Following his retirement from professional wrestling, Punk had signed with a deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and began to pursue a career in mixed martial arts. 18. I looked and didn't see a thread like this, what are some of your all-time favorite openings to tv shows? I love the intro from the old X-Men animated series <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZAhqEiq4cA
  19. A grand hello, howdy, and hey all to every member of this fine community! Some of you may know me, but I'm sure there's a large segment of the member base that has little to no inclination of who I am. This is the reason why I am posting this blog. I want to give you a simple and/or detailed look at who I am. Of course plenty of this is covered in my profile, but I hope expand on that! In any case, let us begin! Before I begin, I want to engage the members here! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Introduction: Who I am now I am PathfinderCS; a member of the staff here at MLPForums. Specifically I work as a sectional staffer in the "Friendship is Magic" section of the forums; meaning that my area of duty includes Show Discussion, Sugarcube Corner, Equestria Girls, and any of the related sub-forums. I only became a member here on May 31, 2014 after doing a Google search for forums related to Friendship is Magic. Considering this one seemed to be the most active, I gave it a try, and I have never regretted that decision. If you're curious, I am 28 years of age, and I have a LOT of experience on the internet. My experience with message boards & forums extends all the way back to 2000/2001. Here's a link to my member profile on what is probably the first forum I ever joined: http://forums.spacebattles.com/members/captain-spyro.929/ Yes, my name was Captain Spyro back in the day, and that is what the CS in PathfinderCS refers to. Anywho, I currently work for the Whitesville State Bank located in southern West Virginia. I work as a loan clerk, which doesn't match my degree at all. You see, I graduated from Concord University in 2008 with a degree in geography; with an emphasis on mapping & GIS. I also minored in history. I also currently live with my parents, so I really haven't made that big step in living by myself yet! Along with that, I'm single, though I'm not complaining. My last relationship was an online one that lasted from 03 to 07, and I never regret a moment of it. As such, while I'm not exactly looking, I wouldn't say no if the right person came along. About Me: What I'm into My main hobby is gaming. I started as a young kid when my biological father got me a Nintendo Entertainment System for Christmas. I have so many memories playing Mario, Donkey Kong, and Duck Hunt! Very fun times! Later on, I also got a Sega Genesis from Christmas, and I was introduced to games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Castle of Illusion, and Virtua Racing. Again, so many hours were lost playing these great games, among others. Later I was introduced to the original Playstation, and thank to a certain purple dragon by the name of Spyro my status as a gamer was finally confirmed. Spyro was pretty much my icon, and still is! I loved those games so much; as well as other games. As time moved on and I got older, I was able to enjoy even more systems and games. Now that I can provide for my own self, I can indulge in my hobby much more than I could in the past. Because of my heavy interest in gaming, I'm not as much into movies and TV as I used to be. My preferences tend to lean towards fantasy, science fiction, and adventure. As such, it's no wonder my favorite shows include the various Star Trek series, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica (old & new), and Game of Thrones. Of course, I like other shows too like Mythbusters and decent documentaries dealing with history, science, and social science. As for movies, my favorite movie of all time is the Lord of the Rings; by Peter Jackson. I tend to count all three as one. Along with that, I love the older Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones, various Godzilla flicks, King Kong, Titanic, Dragonheart, and others. I'm not much of a book reader, though I do read from time to time! In regards to music, I am mostly into metal (power, progressive, symphonic), orchestral music (Classical and movie/tv/game music), and ska punk. My favorite metal bands tend to be Symphony X, Rhapsody of Fire, Sonata Arctica, Fairyland, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, Pathfinder, Therion, Nightwish, Black Sabbath; among others. The only ska punk band I listen to right now is Streetlight Manifesto. As for orchestral composers, my heart beats for JS Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, and others on the classical end, and James Newton Howard, Jeremy Soule, Inon Zur, and Christopher Franke; among others. Lastly, I'll talk about sports, and I'm not heavily into sports right now. Do I like some sports? Of course, but I'm just not into them all that much. My favorite sports tend to be hockey (Pittsburgh Penguins), soccer/football (Bayern Munich, Sporting Kansas City), and certain motorsports. I grew up on NASCAR, but I have drifted away from it as IndyCar, World Rally, and my true passion, Rally Raid, took hold. Your Turn: Give Me Questions! Now, it's your turn! Is there something you want to ask me? Something you want me to elaborate on? Perhaps there is something I could here? Please, ask me your questions. I'll be happy to answer what I can!

    Beginnings

Hi. So i'm thinking of creating a blog sharing my stories to everyone concerning my life as Poniverse's graphic designer. And as you've probably noticed by now, this is the first post. If I get into the swing of things and continue to do this, dont expect them to be super long or delve into some secret stuff im doing behind the scenes with the team, but maybe some teases and hints. Depends. So most of the things I post will just be about me designing rather than specifically the things im designing. And also there will probably be a lot concerning non-secret things such as designs I do for school. All fun stuffs!
  23. Well when I was first watching the series I'd always skip the intro if I was on YouTube. But watching it a couple of times on the Hub, I winded up becoming very fond of the opening. I even know the lyrics by heart now. I will say it is the most "girliest" part of the show, but I also find the song to be very catchy. So what are your opinions on the opening intro?
