  1. A rather simple question, but I'm curios to see if only 10% of the users here are left handed. Studies show about 10% of the world is left handed. As for me, I'm right handed. What about you? Edit: Looks like I'm getting shot down for using "hands" instead of "hooves".
  2. ... What would you do? Since there is no one above me, I wouldn't do anything.
  3. I didn't see a thread about being left handed, so I figured I'd make one. So, who's a southpaw around here? Got any left handed struggles? I would personally like to condem pens and pencils to the pits of hell for smudging my hand.
  4. What is your political stance? XD Right-leaning, or left-leaning?
  5. I no longer like to identify as any part of the political spectrum, mostly because I believe that identity politics is utterly toxic tribalism that prevents us from talking honestly about issues, but also because I'm finding it increasingly difficult to see anywhere on the spectrum that's a comfortable fit. My views haven't changed much in the last decade, but the political sides sure have. For my whole life, I have considered myself left/liberal, and I still have what I would describe as "classically liberal" views. For my whole life, I have also been under a grave misapprehension, which is why I wanted to write this post. I want to speak directly to all conservatives/anyone who considers themselves right of center. For most of my life, I have been under the impression that conservatives are, for the most part, all backwards, bigoted, racist, sexist, gay-hating religious maniacs, and that this is more or less the definition of conservatism. This is obviously false. It's only in the last year or so that I started to look, listen, escape my echo chamber, and realize my mistake. I've read and listened to the opinions of many conservatives whom I was pleasantly surprised to find are very open-minded, rational, compassionate people. Some even share many of my views, and it surprised me when they said they identify as conservative. It made me stop and say, "Wait a minute....but those views you have sound like classically liberal views!" Most conservatives are just normal, nice, decent people who don't want to stomp on other's rights. Likewise, most liberals can be described exactly the same way. I have always considered myself a liberal, but I am absolutely not one of these trigger-warning, free speech stifling, offensive word banning, college speaker de-platforming, SJW snowflakes. Don't make the mistake of thinking that that's how all liberals are. Both sides seem to see only the worst of the other. In one corner the liberals say, "Yer all a bunch of bigots," and in the other corner, the conservatives say, "Yer all a bunch of delusional nutjobs." Neither is true. These extremes are just fringe minorities that are not representative of most people. I believe that the percentage of leftists that are extreme, free speech stifling SJWs is about the same percentage of rightists that are truly racist, sexist, hateful bigots. Please remember that these are just tiny, yet disproportionately noisy, minorities. Conservatives are not all my enemies, and liberals are not all your enemies. If we drop the labels and listen to each other, we might find allies in unexpected places. Of course, I feel like I'm probably preaching to the choir in here, as I've always been extremely impressed with the maturity and decency of this community (at least what I've seen of it.) My words probably aren't needed in here. They're needed out there. Like....y'know....on the Twitters or the Youtubes....but I don't feel like being chased down the street by a mod with torches and I hide in here. :/ It's better than nothing. Better than not speaking up at all, I guess. Thanks for reading. Have a ponirific day.
  6. What if Spike left, by royal order- just as Sunbutt decreed that Twilight stay in Ponyville to continue her studies (though - loophole- that was UNICORN Twilight), Spike wound up leaving - not being written off, but maybe being given a promotion and is requested for his heroic services, to serve as a knight in distant lands? (Or maybe he gets his own spinoff series being a dragon knight on epic adventures)
  7. Any of you have a website or two that you used to visit all the time, like every day or so, or just spend hours and hours on it, but for some reason you stopped, either because you found something better, your interests changed or things over their changed and you didn't like it? For me, it was It's a comment based, poll making website. A pretty innovative concept if you ask me. You can get statistics & demographics of those that voted based on what they list on their profiles. The polls even have a feature that automatically enables embedding of YouTube videos. It's a pretty functional and nifty set up. Unfortunately, the kinds of people that showed up weren't so fun to be around. Let me put it this way: you think Tumblr was bad for arguments? Visit any discussion involving anything religious, political, or anything invoke a negative opinion from you. You will get called out on it from multiple sides and get thrown into long arguments defending your stance. Heck, even posting something innocent can get you flak. A few years ago, I posted a poll in memory of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman, and asked if anyone there was a fan of his music. You know what I got? A religious nut claiming he deserved what he got cause he made the devils music. No respect. So after getting more involved with MLP, and finding this place, I found that the arguments were no fun anymore, so I stopped. I don't think I've been on in a year or so. How about you? Any sites you've "broken the habit" of going to?
  8. As promised, fine cuisine. Disclaimer: Not my cuisine.
  9. I was attempting to add someone to a conversation thread that they once participated in, but then I received the error message which was something like this: "Nopony was added because either the username was spelled incorrectly, or they are already active in the conversation" The problem is that since the person is indicated to have "left the conversation" on the left side of the screen, that person is still somehow "active", even though they already left. I wanted them to see a funny conversation we had in the thread after they left, but I get this message and am unable to re add them. Thoughts? Is it do-able, or is it difficult?
  10. Well, I've noticed 75% of the brony fandom follows either Princess Celestia, or Princess Luna. But, why not Princess Cadence? Is it because Luna/Celestia have had more screen-time? Is it because Luna and Celestia control the moon/sun which is 'godlike'? Please explain. I believe Cadence is equal to both of them, (on a more personal note, I think she has the best colour scheme. )
  11. The item to your left has been confiscated for enigmatic reasons by the FBI, what did you lose?

    The Last Brony

"The majority have no other reason for their opinions than that they are in fashion." -Samuel Johnson I hold this quote to be true. Most of us wouldn't watch a kids show if it weren't for everyone flaunting the fandom around everywhere on the internet. And in some cases, real life... My question: What would you do if you were the last and only brony? How would you react if MLP was simply a fad but impacted your life to the point where, if the fandom died and everyone left, you would still carry on being a brony? Do you think people would accept you for being "that pony guy"? Would you really stay because of the show, or is it the community that makes being a brony so worth the judgement? Personally, I don't mind the show. I watch anime, so I was a geek to begin with. If MLP ended, I wouldn't care too much. However, I adore the MLP community. It's the first time I've ever seen people on the internet so in touch with one another. It's like a strange, distorted second family. (Almost) ... Cloppers are the silent uncle nobody likes to talk about. P.S. Grim Started it... not 4chan.
