  1. Thought it would be funny to see what instrument everypony plays if you play any. Here's my instruments:
  2. Here's Radetzky March by Johann Strauss Sr., mashed up with Organ and Orchestra. Enjoy. Special Thanks to my patron, (Ultimate Fan) Juke Denton, for supporting me on Patreon (Become a patron now by going on the following link!):
  3. Hi everypony, I don't know if any of you heard about this yet, but a brony musician, called MelodicPony, has passed away. This is his channel: And to help keep his memory alive, there's a fundraiser to help get this piece he made: played by a real orchestra, no donation is too small, and if you can't donate, please spread the word! Any help is greatly appreciated!
  4. I felt I needed to write something that apologized for the atonal craziness, that I uploaded to my YouTube channel, last week. Download from my Bandcamp Page!
  5. I wrote this music for the latest episode of "Pinkie Tales". Pretty simple and straight forward, though I had fun writing the fashion show music.
  6. The soundtrack of the show sounds so generic and generated (without minding alliteration), that I sometimes wonder what computer program did they use to generate their music?
  7. I forgot to post this here. This is an orchestral remix I've been working on for about a month now, off and on.
  8. Just finished this orchestral piece, inspired by that crazy, straight-haired pink horse.
  9. This was a fun challenge. I was requested to make a steampunk arrangement of an MLP song, though this might not be so much "steampunk" as it is a tribute to Danny Elfman. Maybe it's a little bit of both. You decide!
  10. Music inspired by Daring Do and Indiana Jones. I even built a 3D model of the temple Daring Do raids in "Read it and Weep" to complete the visual atmosphere.
  11. So I'm curious as to what is your favorite orchestral composition if you enjoy listening to such. My personal favorite's which I could listen to for hours on end is Richard Wagner's "Götterdämmerung" and my second most favorite is Johann Strauss' "The Blue Danube Waltz"
  12. This is the topic for musicians! Tell every one what music you prefer playing, what instruments you use for this genre, and your favorite piece of music to PLAY (not listen to)....If you want, you could also add what song(s) you really hated to play because you didn't like the genre, key & time signature, or really any reasoning (explain about why you hate said piece(s)). here we go!!! I L.O.V.E. playing jazz music. There are a lot of different types of jazz out there, but I prefer jazz from the 1890's through the 1940's, mainly Swing jazz. Blues and ballads can be really boring to play. It's been nearly 5 years since I've played in a jazz band, so right off the top of my head, I cannot think of a favorite piece because there are so many that my mind is getting all kerfuffled, but I will post when I think of some. I was in 3 jazz bands in high school; in 2 I played Trombone (mah pride and joy) and the other one I played bari saxophone. It was so much fun! I also was in the upper class symphonic jazz band as well as in the pit for my senior year school musical, Fiddler on the Roof (I was the only bone). I hated the music for that musical...never played with a full sharp key signature. I had to painstakingly write in the notes because I rarely deal with sharp key sigs. My favorite songs from Symphonic band were Africa and Songs of Sailor and Sea...Africa because it more fun to watch the percussion go nuts, the trombone part wasn't very challenging or thrilling. Songs of Sailor and Sea is one of the few songs I memorized because I loved playing it so much in solo and full band practice. Performing it was a eargasming marvel!!! One of the Jazz pieces I do remember because of the strange time signature. Blue Rondo A La Turk is an unforgettable piece because it's mainly written in 9/8 time, which I've never played before that piece. I think 9/8 is most common in slip jigs which is nothing like jazz....I played this as a bone and I can't say really hate this piece; it did play and sound weird because of the time sig, but I just think of a hummingbird doing its thing (and every now and then dodging some predator or danger) with this piece in the background and I just smile
  13. Welcome to the thread devoted to all classical/Symphonic music. Feel free to discuss and any classical/symphonic song you want. Please keep the music classical/symphonic and please no symphonic metal or Orchestral Hybrids. Here are two songs to get things rolling.
  14. So, I did a teaser. I hope you guys like it! I know it sounds terribly cheesy but I guess that's the feel that I was aiming for. xD Give it a listen and tell me what you think!
  15. This was my last formal concert of the year.......I will not get to wear my tux ever again......;_; here's what all I played: Blue Rythmico by Kirt Mosier Theme from Symphony No. 1 by Gustav Mahler an arrangement called Blazing Bows of the West Haydn's Farewell Symphony
  16. Sorry I have been so quiet guys, been so busy with other things that I haven't been able to post much however as am back I have a new song for you guys called "Twilight's Ballad" I have been working on this for a good couple of months now and I have uploaded it to youtube. Hope you all enjoy
  17. Well everyone, it's been a while hasn't it? Well guess what, after a bit of a pause I finally finished something. And that something, is the first song of my upcoming album titled "One Thousand Years Ago" This is, however, not the final product! When I say finished, I mean finished writing the song. Four different things actually need to be recorded, and that's vocals, violin, lead guitar, and bass guitar. Currently the violin acts as both the vocals and the violin in this version, but soon in a long time there will be a live version. As a symphonic metal style song, it might not appeal to everyone, but I at least recommend listening to the last 1 minute of the song, because that's the best part! ;P Anyways, thank you all for your interest (if you're reading this) and I hope you'll support my future compositions with encouragement!
  18. So I've started to actually make music about a week ago. Sylph (known here as Scootaloo) and I are working on a game, and I decided to make music for it... (along side graphics and code). But, we had to scrap our idea... someone created a very similar game before we started production. D: Our idea was a platformer (pony) shooter that took place in space... sound familiar doesn't it? (Google: "Pony Space" which is btw, very awesome) So right now, we have no idea what we're going to do... Anyway, this was going to be its title screen music, it's meant to loop so when I was preparing to upload it I just made it so it fades out. It'd be nice to hear what you think. http-~~-//
